On Holocaust Remembrance Day, Homeland Security/TSA Honor the . . . Muslims?!

By Debbie Schlussel
Why is the Department of Homeland Security sponsoring a Holocaust Remembrance Day event honoring Muslims?
Today is “Yom HaShaoah“–Holocaust Remembrance Day–on which we remember the Six Million Jews murdered by the Nazis. Ironically, this year it comes just a week after ICE agents tried to deport John Demjanjuk, a Nazi murderer of 30,000 of those Jews. And on that same day, last week, Pat Buchanan reminded us that the anti-Semitism of the Nazis is alive and well, as he wrote in a column that the Jews are murdering Nazi Demjanjuk as (he falsely alleges) they also killed Christ. The next day, Sean Hannity had this modern day Goebbels on his show as his anointed spokesperson for the tax day Tea Parties.
Even though today is the official Holocaust Remembrance Day, the day will be observed, next week on April 29th, by the Department of Homeland Security, its sub-agency, the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), and other federal agencies. For the record, I do not believe federal agencies should be observing or recognizing Holocaust Remembrance Day, just as I also think they should stop hosting Ramadan Iftar dinners for Muslims.
These Are the Muslims Homeland Security Should Remember on Holocaust Remembrance Day . . .

The only purpose to hold a Holocaust Remembrance Day event is to remind DHS officials what will happen here if they continue to allow Muslims to freely immigrate here with a less-than-six-minute background check and if they continue to pander to Muslim extremists that are already here. The DHS street agents already know this and need no reminder. It’s their snot-nosed, do-nothing (but kiss Islamo-ass) bureaucrat leaders who need the lesson.
But that’s not the purpose of the DHS/TSA-sponsored Holocaust Remembrance Day event, held next week. Nope. The purpose of their event is to honor Muslims. Their message: Let’s ignore the tens of thousands of Muslims who made up a special unit of the SS. Let’s ignore the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem meeting with Hitler, asking him to speed up the Final Solution of Jews, and begging him to export the Holocaust to North Africa, Israel, and the rest of the Middle East. I have several books of World War II Propaganda from both sides. On the Nazi side, the Muslim Grand Mufti of Jerusalem is the author of lots of pro-Nazi pamphlets in Arabic, used to recruit Muslims to the SS. But let’s ignore all of that–all of the Muslim-Nazi collaboration. Instead, let’s remember a single Bosnian Muslim who saved a book. BARF!
A federal agent sent me the notice that was sent out to TSA agents and employees (including Federal Air Marshals) with this message:

Debbie:
Here is the latest from the Department of Homeland Hypocrisy. . . . Maybe I’ll move to Israel and work on a kibbutz or the IDF or something….at least when they say “Never Again” I believe them. With us it is “Never Again…..will we even acknowledge that there is even a genocide.” Out of sight out of mind after all is the government mantra. Can you believe that, to our agency, the Holocaust is now about a Muslim?

Note that the only two speakers the Feds picked for their Holocaust Remembrance Day are: 1) a Muslim; and 2) a Jewish woman–Annette Lantos (late Congressman Tom Lantos’ wife)–who long ago converted herself and her kids to the Mormon Church. Those are interesting choices, given that the theme of their Holocaust event is “We Surived. We Lived On.” Are they sending Jews a message? Sure seems like it. To add insult to injury, the descendants of Joseph Kennedy, a man who sat on and then threw away 5,000 visas the British gave him to save Jews from the Holocaust, are moderating this outrageous and unnecessary event.

Subject: 900 – Holocaust Days of Remembrance
The U.S. Congress established the Holocaust Days of Remembrance as our Nation’s annual commemoration of the victims of the Holocaust and created the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum as a permanent living memorial to the victims. This year, the Days of Remembrance are April 19-26 and Holocaust Remembrance Day is Tuesday, April 21. The Holocaust Memorial Museum has designated “Never Again: What You Do Matters” as the theme for the 2009 Days of Remembrance.
In 1993, the Holocaust Memorial Museum, in coordination with the Federal Interagency Holocaust Steering Committee, began hosting a series of commemorative events and historical presentations about the history of the Holocaust. These public events serve to honor the memory of the Holocaust victims. The Holocaust serves as a stark reminder of the need for citizens to be both well-informed and vigilant about the preservation of democratic ideals. An engaged citizenry that embraces the power of the individual to make a difference is the frontline defense for strong, just societies. What we do-or choose not to do-matters.
The 16th Annual Federal Interagency Holocaust Remembrance Program will be held on Wednesday, April 29, 2009. The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) is a Federal sponsor of this year’s program and the theme of this year’s program is “We Survived. We Live On.” Kerry Kennedy, daughter of the late U.S. Attorney General and Senator Robert F. Kennedy and a founder and board member of the Robert F. Kennedy Center for Justice & Human Rights, will moderate the program, which will feature music and two guest speakers. Annette Lantos, a Jewish woman [DS: WHO CONVERTED TO MORMONISM] born in Hungary and the wife of the late Congressman Tom Lantos (the only Holocaust survivor elected to Congress) will discuss her experiences in escaping from Hungary to Switzerland during World War II. Dr. Edib Korkut will discuss his great uncle, Dervis Korkut, a Bosnian Muslim who hid the Sarajevo Haggadah (a Jewish religious text) from the Nazi Army. It is the oldest Sephardic Haggadah in the world, originating in Barcelona around 1350.
The April 29 Holocaust Remembrance Program will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the historic Lincoln Theater at 1215 U. Street, NW in Washington. The Lincoln Theater is conveniently located near the Metro Green Line, Cardoza Station (take the 13th Street exit). Admission is free and open to the public. Additional information about this event can be found at http://holocaustremembrance.org. TSA employees in the Washington area may attend with their manager’s approval.

What’s that noise I hear? It’s the sound of six million cooked, tortured, shot, hung, and otherwise murdered Jews turning over in their graves.
The descendants of the American men who liberated them are honoring the New Nazis–Muslims–on the day they claim to be remembering Nazi victims.

Gotta admit I’m impressed — linking a Righteous Gentile to the Nazis is a truly impressive feat of wordsmithing. I eagerly await your protest letter to Yad Vashem.
[H: THERE ARE HUNDREDS OF “RIGHTEOUS GENTILES.” ALMOST ALL OF THEM ARE CHRISTIANS AND ALMOST ALL OF THEM ARE THERE FOR SAVING JEWISH LIVES FROM THE NAZIS. YET, THE U.S. GOVT PICKED THE ONE PERSON WHO DIDN’T SAVE ANY LIVES, BUT JUST A BOOK–THE ONE PERSON WHO HAPPENED TO BE MUSLIM. THE DAY THAT YAD VASHEM MAKES HOLOCAUST REMEMBRANCE A CELEBRATION OF THE KENNEDYS AND MUSLIMS–AS THE U.S. GOVT HAS–WILL BE THE DAY I PROTEST YAD VASHEM. DS]

mindy1:
Removing Napolitano will not do any good. She is not the problem (at least in the long term). This fish rots from the head down. It is her boss that has to go.
As I have stated many times here before, “Seven Days in May” is our only hope (but with a different ending).

“YET, THE U.S. GOVT PICKED THE ONE PERSON WHO DIDN’T SAVE ANY LIVES, BUT JUST A BOOK”
Not true. No one knows how many Jews he saved, because he never ever talked about it, even to his kids. But at least one, Mira Papo, went on in turn to save Korkut’s daughter from the Serbian massacres. That woman, Lamija Jaha, lives in the Ma’agan Michael kibbutz to this day. Benjamin Netanyahu personally met Lamija at the airport, saying “Today, we are closing a great circle in that the state of Israel, which emerged from the ashes, gives refuge to the daughter of those who saved Jews.”
Mr. Korkut (and his wife, who still resides in Sarajevo), spent the first half of his adult life resisting fascism and the second half resisting communism. He was a champion of Bosnian minorities (in fact, it was that academic interest which put him in the museum to save the Haggedah), a defender of the Jews even before Hitler took over Sarajevo and a truly great man. To associate him with the Nazis in any way.. well, let’s just say that Tito did that.

Yom Hashoah is a Jewish memorial day. It’s about Jews and the Shoah; a unique event in history. If not history, then it’s a unique event in Jewish history.
It’s not about “genocide”. It’s not about “man’s cruelty to man”. It’s not about the 12 million people murdered by the Nazis. It’s about the SIX million JEWS who were murdered by the Nazis.
It takes an anti-Semite to make Yom Hashoah into something it’s not. Let the LIBS make a holiday called “Say no to genocide day” or whatever the heck they wanna call it! This is a JEWISH memorial day.
People who try to “internationalize” Yom Hashoah are trivializing the Shoah. Just as Pesach has been trivialized by liberals who have perverted Passover’s theme of Jewish redemption into their favorite trivial causes, Yom Hashoah is being trivialized by those who want us to think that there’s nothing unusual about murdering 6 million Jews because “it happens to everybody”.
I share Debbie’s outrage on this.
And Deb… thank you so very much for writing this. I was going to email you to ask you to write something profound about Yom Hashoah that is relevant to today’s world and never got around to it. I should have known I didn’t need to ask.

I am not Jewish, but I love the fervent passion that you invoke. You never give an inch and you aren’t duped by society or anyone in general.
Wish our society had more Debbies. Thanks for the post. I mean for the sake of PC, this day is now a day for Muslims”? What a joke. Again thanks for keeping us informed.

The Dep’t of Homeland Securty’s Holocaust Remebrance Day event will plain & simply be celebrating those who left Judaism and Muslim wonderfullness (which we now celebrate everyday, anyway). So this is really a celebration of the ‘end of the Jews.’ – not a recognition of the crime of genocide of the Jews. It will be the perfect centerpeice between the recent DHS document proclaiming patriotic Americans as extremists and Obama’s insulting mock Passover seder!

To Mindy1 who says that some days she’s ready to riot, I’m afraid that is just what the administration is hoping for. Given enough civil unrest, Obama would “just have to” declare martial law and suspend the constitution. Call me paranoid.
