Obammigration: Saudis Pay $5.3 Billion For 65,000 Saudi Students Now “Studying” in the U.S.

By Debbie Schlussel

It’s official: Barack Obama brings in 65,000 America-hating Muslim aliens each year.

According to the U.S. Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, we now have at least 65,000 Muslim foreign alien students “studying” in the United States, courtesy of Saudi Arabia. Since that’s more students than there are Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents, do you think we are keeping an eye on all of these students? An eye on even a fraction of these students? Dream on. And as I’ve reported on this site many, many times, a good number of these “students” never attend class, sneak weapons on planes, commit dry runs for terrorist attacks (or actually try to commit the acts for real), beat and rape women, and try to recruit for terrorist activities. One of them, a Wisconsin resident who stopped going to class, spent his time terrorizing guests at Madison, Wisconsin’s Edgewater Hotel. And so on. If you think this is only because of Barack Obama, think again. This is a Bush-Obama thing. As I reported on this site, President Bush–patron saint to the Saudi Royals–quadrupled the number of Saudi student visas in the U.S. to more than 30,000. It appears Obama then increased the number to 65,000. That’s a scary number–and that’s in addition to 102,000 Saudi visitor visas the Obama administration issued in just one week, last year. If even a small fraction decided to plot against America–and a number of them already have–we’re in trouble. And we are. The excuse is that if they are exposed to us, it will make them like us better–a specious argument that has been disproven time and again. Just ask Sayyid Qutb (Bin Laden’s guru and fave Muslim author) or Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, both of whom studied here.

Shukran [Thanks], American Dummies!

(Saudi 9/11 Flag By David Lunde/Lundesigns)

A scholarship program sponsored and paid for by Saudi Arabia . . . has sent hundreds of thousands of young people overseas in the past seven years to improve their job prospects and open the conservative kingdom up to the outside world.

Those accepted for the King Abdullah Scholarship Program are given a monthly stipend, and the government pays for them to take family with them. Women who receive the awards must travel with a male companion.

This year alone about 130,000 Saudi students are studying abroad, half of them in the United States, said James B. Smith, the U.S. ambassador to Riyadh.

The stated goal of the program, which the Arab News daily in December reported cost more than 20 billion riyals ($5.3 billion), is to prepare Saudi nationals to replace expatriate workers in better-paid technical jobs in the kingdom, reducing unemployment.

But a secondary ambition of making Saudi Arabia a more open society has always been more or less explicitly acknowledged by the authorities.

Hilarious. “More open” would mean churches could be built there or Jews and Christians could enter Mecca. “More open” means people with Israeli passports and Israeli stamps in their passports could enter the country. “More open” would mean Saudi Arabian royals, including FOX News co-owner Prince Al-Waleed Bin Talal, would stop funding homicide bombers and bidding in their telethons. And that they’d end their participation in the Arab boycott on Israel. None of that will ever happen.

The only thing that will happen is that people who hate America will have an American stamp in their passport and might have visited Disney World. Big deal. Levi’s and Subway don’t make these people love America.

Get a clue, conventional wisdom slaves.

I had Saudi student neighbors, who moved out a few months ago, and I’ll be writing about that horror story in the near future. “More open”? Riiiiight.

I learned all I needed to know about Saudi students from them and Homaidan Al-Turki.

By the way, don’t look for this 65,000 per year number to go down in a Romney Administration. No matter who is elected, the number will go up because we tolerate and don’t insist on a candidate who is more than just a tad better than Obama.

What Saudis Do Best

Jack on June 12, 2012 at 1:24 pm

My fellow country men, we are compromised, the author discovered our plan, Retreat!!

This is me a Saudi being sarcastic for what you have written in your racist article. What the hell is wrong with you.? I will tell you the whole story about us being here and why we are here. We are here because of your economy which is worsening everyday. We are here to support your Economy. As a matter of fact Saudi Arabia have invested 1.5 trillion Dollars in US treasury. And if you think for one single second that we are terrorizing anybody you go check your mental health. We suffered from terrorists more than you did. the pentagon got a hit from terrorist? Yes and also the Saudi Ministry of interior which is its job like the pentagon. The compound of Saudi National Security officers”where officers who work for the national security live” was bombed. I can tell you about 20+ more terrorists work. The true meaning of Jehad which you think is killing people, is to be patient with who accuse you because of your religion and show them that you are not what they think in fact it say do not kill. do you know in Islam the formal greeting is “Alsalam Alaykum” what does it mean? and what happened if you do not say it? It means peace upon you all, and if a muslim did not greet any body even none muslim with it that considered a sin!! how come you accuse my religion of terrorism while it is commanding me to say to you peace upon you?
for all christian people we respect your religion and believe in Jesus and Mary his virgin mother and we believe Jesus was prophet and we believe he said he was a prophet when he was less than two months old that one of his miracles that god gave him to make people believe we believe in Zachary who raised Mary when her father died. Did you know Quran mentioned Jesus 25 times and Mohammed our prophet and who is Quran was the book god gave him was mentioned 5 times!!

And for who said that what we are here to learn if you think we are here because your education system is better than Saudi education system and you think all what we had been taught in saudi is Quran and Sunnah, you know nothing about us. I was taught your Calculus classes that I took here in University which is considered advance to you in my 10th grade and 11th grade and applied math in 12th grade
Algorithm in 9th grade physics and chemistry and biology started in 7th grade and in 10th grade it equals your physics for college level we are trying to adjust with the culture and we suffer from learning language and it is hard we are here only for the culture purposes for us and to support the US economy because we depend on US as our biggest ally in case of war.

We are here not to terrorize even though when you see someone who do something wrong in US because all they know about US is there hollywood movies and they think thats how things in US are. every country have their good and bad instead of thinking about oh they are evil they are terrorist go talk to them, see what they think about US and do not just see there faces and be prejudice or ignorant. I think that American people are friendly and I think that they hate terrorists so much even though US who bombed Hiroshima with Atomic missile but that was in the past and government does not reflect the people they always against the people. but the USA people are more friendly than European and more helpful than British people I think they are good people and I love it here I live in Los Angeles and when I eye contact with anyone they smile to me which make me happy.

Um, stupid Pollack-troll, WTF does you’re link have to do with this topic? Either you stick to main topic or get lost, you Poles need to get over yourselves, get a life, a job/career, etc.

Now to the topic, good article Debbie, and we all know at the sametime, former president, George W Bush Jr. did just about the samething on what Obama is doing, by bringing muslim immigrants from islamic countries that sponsors islamic-terrorisim, jihadisim, etc.

This country is sinking fast. If Obama becomes re elected, we’re sunk…

As goes... on June 12, 2012 at 10:43 pm

What exactly do Saudi students hope to learn in the US? As it is, in KSA, all they study is the Quran and Sunnah, and everything connected w/ Islam. How does sending them to an US school, and just throwing $$$ @ it, make them teachable?

In my experience, the only Saudi students I saw were incapable of following what was in their coursework, and needed their assignments done for them. I think that school students on basketball scholarships would look like PhD’s next to them. In fact, the 15 Saudi 9/11 hijackers were probably the cream of Saudi students in the US – given the way they aced flight school.

Also, the 65k students or the 102k visitors are by no means the only Muslims here in the US. Just look @ the number of Somalis in MN or Hizbullahites in MI – neither of whom are Saudis. Since when did the US conclude that it was such a great idea getting completely worthless people from shitholes like Somalia and Yemen, or even completely worthless people from countries like Saudi Arabia that can throw cash @ Washington DC? And I’ll bet it’s not just KSA – other ‘allies’, such as Qatar, Emirates, Bahrein and Kuwait must be in this as well, albeit on a lower scale.

That’s why I was arguing in the previous story – we need to find alternatives and completely get off oil. Once the world market for oil tanks, Saudi Arabia will be right there in the same league as countries like Bangladesh and Burundi, and not capable of pretending to be an even richer country than the US.

Infidel on June 12, 2012 at 1:38 pm

Infidel, we don’t get much oil from the middle east. We produce about 7 million barrels a day, and get a few million from Canada and Mexico. Other oil that we get comes from Venezuela (or it used to), Nigeria, and lesser amounts elsewhere.

Jonathan E. Grant on June 12, 2012 at 1:42 pm

It is all about colonization . . . We are too stupid to survive.

As goes... on June 12, 2012 at 10:45 pm

Actually, Deb, there is a lot more to this story. After sending 65,000 Saudi students to American Universities, the Saudis send millions of dollars to the foreign studies departments of these schools, successfully influencing their views on Islam and Middle East. The students themselves, when they aren’t drinking or carousing, also work to influence school policies by on campus demonstrations against Israel, demonstrations in front of the White House, charming young stupid girls into loving Islam (and a life of riches these girls will never see), etc.

The Saudis are doing nothing more than using their students and money to propagandize to the young, through the universities that whore themselves out when they take Saudi money.

Jonathan E. Grant on June 12, 2012 at 1:40 pm

I find this story highly informative and disturbing. And hopefully Front Page Magazine-style “conservatives” who regularly denounce Obama, but choose to remain mum about Bush, will recognize as much. Both administrations have cultivated very tight relations with the Saudis.

The notion that George W. Bush, as a Republican Christian, couldn’t possibly be in league with Obama on this issue is nonsense. Bush was in the hip pockets of Islamic Saudi sheiks well before he even took office. Should Mitt Romney be elected president, expect this “special relationship” to continue. After all, Saudi Arabia is about business.

Seek on June 12, 2012 at 2:11 pm

Although it’s unlikely that Mitt will become president, I believe that it’s a bit more than unfair to conjecture that he’d be as acquiescent to the Saudi’s, as is President Obama, and to a far lesser extent, President George W. Bush.

    Neils60 on June 12, 2012 at 9:33 pm

As JEG often says…tell your friends and family about this site. We need more GOOD Conservatives who get it. The last two years has exposed many so-called fraud Conservatives and it’s time to understand who gets it and who doesn’t.

I have long-ago stopped going to HA because I hated how dumb and cliquey it got. To my surprise, many so-called Conservatives and their dumb fans mirror that micro-world that HA contains. It’s nauseating!

DS gets it and has the balls to say it. I don’t give a crap if people don’t like her style. She is providing us with truth and knowledge and besides, she wouldn’t cover-up a Concert Scam (and look away) like many so-called Cons have. What does that say about them?? Spread the word!

Skunky on June 12, 2012 at 2:14 pm

Right on Skunky, and that’s why the only conservative blogs/website I go to nowadays is this one, and “The Urban Grind” (that website has DS as it’s blogroll, check it out in Debbie’s “blogroll” section of this blogpage), and since about three years ago when I first came here and began commenting here, I thought many of you including Debbie herself was a little out of line and lying, little did I know was that I started to do my own personal research and reall ALL of DS’s archives from years past and it turned out that Ms. Schlussel was right back than and is right and correct right now, despite some of the dumbass conservatives who denounce her and call her names under the sun for envy issues, etc.

And I barely go onto liberal websites, but one left wing site I go to is “The Gun Toting Liberal”, over two years ago when DS was exposing Sean “Wallbanger” Hannity’s Freedom Concert slush-fund scam, GTL gave alot of credit and kudos to Debbie, he even cited her properly and didn’t plagarize off of her. Can you imagine that, a liberal blogger citing Debbie Schlussel correctly, giving her credit for her original work and NOT stealing and plagarizing off of her like many conservative websites haev done to her in the past, who are basically acting like stupid leftists!

“A nation is defined by its borders, language & culture!”

    Sean R. on June 12, 2012 at 3:44 pm

Hi Debbie. Last week I couldn’t get onto your site and when I finally managed I saw all the posts from Poles and I wanted know what all the hype is about. I read your articles and did some research on the subject. I didn’t know a lot about WWII before. I can’t however find a scholar paper or any research study that backs up the numbers. Perhaps you could post a few links? Wikipedia does not say much about the collaborators from Poland and I don’t really know where to look. Also, all the Polacks seem to believe they did no wrong. I guess they were brainwashed as children by propaganda and their history books probably do not show the truth. I’m not sure about history books in other countries. If they do not tell the truth about polish complicity then I think they should be re-written so everyone knows what really went on. Someone like you could initiate the change! But in the meantime, please give us some materials on the subject.

Ps. Very sorry about going off the subject from the original article, but I figured you were more likely to answer if I post under the latest one.

God bless you, brave girl!

L: There was a 96-page report linked in the post. Did you read all 96 pages? Look up the massacre at Jedwabneh. Poles who publicly talk about Polish complicity in the Holocaust are threatened with violence and death, as happened to a brave Polish journalist who wrote about this and started a Polish center for the study of the Holocaust. DS

Luke on June 12, 2012 at 2:18 pm

What a nauseating predicament this is. “Political correctness” is the guise under which these politicians hide their true agenda of simply being whores and selling out America to these vicious, hostile and violent invaders in the name of the new religion of the religion-less: “diversity.”

Can’t wait to read your horror stories about your former Saudi “student” neighbors, Debbie.

DS_ROCKS! on June 12, 2012 at 2:30 pm

Bit we need more Muslims to continue our diversity treatments.

Cotton-eyed Joe on June 12, 2012 at 5:15 pm

America is selling the rope to those who wish to hang it. I agree that Romney probably won’t change things much in this regard – maybe charge a few pennies more for the rope.

Not Ovenready on June 12, 2012 at 5:24 pm

At least one reason KSA does this is because their own universities by and large only turn out uleum, or religious “scholars.” Thus, to get training in everything else they have to be shipped abroad for school. There is an interesting twist to this. While flying into Riyadh a few years ago I sat next to a Saudi medical student studying in Budapest. We talked for three hours; it was his experience overseas that was most intriguing. When he first went to school he was desperate for friends, and so he partied with the Europeans in the dorms. However, now that he was flying home on break he began to realize he was drifting away from his “din,” and that he needed to revive Islam in his life. What makes this dangerous is the assumption within Islam that serious sins are only forgiven through one’s actions (tawbah, or repentance in the heart, is only good for minor stuff). This all has to do with the notion of scales in Islam, where good deeds are weighed against evil; if you have any evil on the scale when you die you will spend at least some time in the hellfire. However, the surest way to avoid this brutal fire is to attack an infidel, and possibly die as a martyr, because then the evil in your life is completely purged. Even the intention to die (read here Maj. Hasan) is sufficient to do this. Thus, the Saudis are actually creating more desperate young men seeking forgiveness when they sin abroad, and thus many may seek this through a violent jihadi act in the future.

Russ on June 12, 2012 at 9:42 pm

You have actually hit the core issue Russ. To the extent that a Muslim becomes more observant and pious, the more anti-social and abominable their conduct becomes towards those outside of their faith. Islam is rather like malaria in a human body in that it may lie dormant for extended periods of time, but it never really goes away.

    Worry01 on June 13, 2012 at 2:15 am

It is nonsense that has the fingerprints of Bush and Obama all over it. Lte these “students” study in Asia or Europe if that is what they would actually like to do. There are plenty of institutions that would be suitable for them in those other regions.

Dana Knowles on February 28, 2013 at 10:56 pm

Interesting! It doesn’t matter what are you seeing about Islam. There are a lot of American Muslim whether black, white, or asian. All of them are peaceful and nice. No diference between them at all. Islam is increasing day by day even there have been many attempts To distort the image of Islam through Zionist media power which are controlling the western mind especially Americans mind Unfortunately.

Regarding to 9/11, all Muslims people strongly condemned what happened, and we totaly disagree. You have to know that Muslims belief doesn’t allowed killing innocent people at all. And if we are attacked by anyone, we have to defend ourselves regardless of the name of defense, if it is called “Jihad” or “resistance” or “katshab” or “hamburger” . It does’t matter what it is called as long as we defend ourselves and Defend our minorities living among us, whether they are Christians or Jews. Defense is a legitimate right for all peoples Regardless of the name Resistance. In addition, take this as a gift from me to you:
Noam Chomsky states, “No Evidence that Al-Qaeda Carried Out the 9/11 Attacks”
If you say there have been 15 saudis among 19 attackers, I would say So What? Since 1945 there have been many fights between The U.S and Saudi Arabia and some of airplanes were full of Saudis! So please open your mind.
Historically, has not been proven throughout history that the Muslims did any massacres or genocide against Christians or Jews. On the contrary, Jews and Christians have been living peacefully in Muslim countries, They were protected by us as Muslims and The Church of the Holy Sepulchre is the biggest evidence to prove my words. Keep in mind We are not against Jews, We are against Zionism as a political movement and there are a lot of Jews today oppose the establishment of a national home for them.

Finally, regarding to the Saudi Students who are studying in the U.S I think everything became clear after this long writing that some of you who against the Saudis in America are extremely exaggerating.

Thank you!

Mohmd on March 23, 2013 at 5:03 am

I personally know several Saudi students studying here in the USA. To say that ALL Saudi students are terrorists is simply the height of ignorance, especially coming from a talk show host, who should be fact-checking information before posting blogs as ridiculous and uninformed as this. I’m not saying that there might be potential for an extreme minority of students to do this, however, all of the students I have observed generally have a high regard for the US and love studying here. One young man from the KSA has become like family to me and my children. We love him dearly and he is one of the most noble, decent, open-minded and intelligent people I know. The world would be a much better place if there were more people in it such as him. Further, I am Jewish and he is Arab, which makes it even better. Lastly, the students are required by contract to return to KSA when they are done with their studies, so your premise that they are on a mission to “change the culture” makes no sense. The whole point of their gaining an Western education is to bring back a higher level of excellence to the the KSA. They are mandated by contract to return to KSA.

I am a host mother. I have hosted students from all over the world. I am talking first hand about the VERY BIG problem we have on our hands. I hosted a total of 5 over the past 2 years. It has been a NIGHTMARE! I had one student not going to school at all, He was arriving completely drunk from partying all night, every night. All students REFUSED to speak english! I ended up contacting their school and asking why their Visa’s were not pulled since they were not attending school. Most Saudi students bring their families and never leave. This is not only a current problem but a problem that is growing and growing…

Host Mother on December 30, 2014 at 3:45 pm

We are about 300,000 international saudi students, and about 150,000 of us in the US and the rest in the other international countries. Also, the kingdom of Saudi Arabia pays more than 5.3 billion for studying. The kingdom not only paying for studying, but also they give us a monthly remuneration to study and it’s 1,850$.

Ahmed Alouf on January 21, 2015 at 9:09 pm

I’m from Saudi Arabia, going to some school in the US. It is pathetic to believe this article. Do you guys think that you have 150,000 terrorists in the US?? They must be very respectful terrorists. I’m not being sarcastic I’m just being realistic and logical.

Majed on June 16, 2015 at 2:15 am

Dear readers and blogger,

Greetings! I am one of those many students studying generously in this great country that was founded on the principles of open immigration. For starters, let me begin by stating that I am neither a Democrat nor a Republican. In fact, I have never voted in my entire life. But I have participated in many open and intellectual debates on both sides of the aisle as well as stay active in civil society. I am not receiving any compensation to compose this reply. Overall, I try not to be biased in any manner to make this reply. So let me proceed by explaining to you generous folks, from the perspective of all the hundreds of us students, exactly why are we here and what are we thinking.

During the presidency of Bush junior, King Abdullah was coronated. His administration noticed an interesting trend in the Gulf region. The Arab Gulf economies were relying heavily on oil exports for generating governmental revenue. Studies have shown that in maybe 50 or 60 years, the oil reserves would be heavily depleted. Therefore, the administration, in collaboration with Bush’s government and other countries, thought it would be a great idea to diversify the Saudi economy by training new professionals in all different aspects of society, being educated in the best of the best universities. So the Saudi government installed a scholarship program, selective on the basis of merit achieved in high school scores and national aptitude exams like the SAT and TOEFL, to send their kids abroad to learn what they can from foreign countries and come back to serve the public.

What do many of these bright eyed students have in mind when first arriving in the USA? It is very much like how you folks felt when studying abroad in new cities or outside the US! We felt pure joy and awe at the different cultures and languages. We wanted to absorb everything we can and enjoy our time in America while trying our hardest to succeed for the good of our country. In fact, the worst crime that the great majority of us committed was not learning how to crunch our studies in the night before, what you call an “all-nighter”!

While the great majority of us had no politics in mind when studying here, I am one of the only few who is active and trying to portray a positive picture of us. We are people. We are innocent students after all. All we have in mind is several things: how we are going to pass that next exam, where is the nearest hookah joint, and how to understand American football. We try our best to learn English and hang out with a diversity of Americans: blacks, whites, Asians, Buddhists, Jews, you name it! Please try and talk to some of us if you want to know our intentions and how we feel about your country’s hospitality! Sure it’s true that a substantial minority of Saudis harbor malicious intent to cause destruction and sorrow among people, but surely you cannot paint the entirety of us with that generalisation? It is like saying that Dylan Roof is the typical Southern conservative and that we should discriminate against you when you travel to visit the UK etc! That we should deny you all your guns and force you to abort your babies just because you all are dangerous right-wing extremist shooters! C’mon, that sounds ludicrous! But alas. People find comfort in generalizing and demonizing to explain certain ill-fated events in life, like the loss of a loved one.

Oh and one last thing: I am currently a medical student here. I am studying to go back home and practice medicine to relieve other people’s suffering in the best manner. I am not one who brags, but I would think that this mindset is a more noble cause than the ones you accuse us of, terrorism and the like. Don’t you think?

Salutations and yours truly,
An open-minded Saudi medical student.
