Predictable: Paki Senator Says of Flogging Video, “The JOOOOOS Did it”
By Debbie Schlussel
By now, you’ve probably seen the video watched around the world of Taliban Muslims publicly flogging a girl for being in the presence of a man not her husband. I’ve posted it, below, in case you didn’t see it.
But what you probably didn’t see–but could have predicted–is the Pakistani justification of this. Remember this isn’t a guy from the Taliban. It’s a guy who is a Pakistani Senator saying the video is a “Jewish plot.”
And he’s not just any Paki Senator. He’s part of the ruling coalition of Pakistan. You know, the one that Asif Ali Zardari, the so-called “moderate” husband of the so-called “moderate” Benazir Bhutto, is part of–the coalition that enables him to lead Pakistan. Yup, this is how they all think of the Jews. And yet, we are supposed to be “tolerant” of this religion.
Funny, she doesn’t “look” Jewish.
KARACHI: Federal Minister Senator Azam Khan Swati of the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F) said on Saturday that the flogging of the 17-year-old girl in Swat was a Jewish conspiracy aimed at destroying peace in Swat and distort the image of those Islamists who sport beards and wear turbans. Speaking at a reception hosted by the JUI-F Karachi Chapter in his honour, Swati said that the JUI-F may part ways with the PPP-led coalition government if drone attacks continue to violate the sovereignty of Pakistan. “We shall not tolerate the violation of our country’s sovereignty through drone attacks,” he said, adding that under a deep-rooted conspiracy, the Pakistan Army was being defamed.
Hmmm . . . some questions about this alleged “Jewish conspiracy”:
Did we Jews fabricate the video? Did it never happen? Did we somehow orchestrate its occurrence?
Sadly, all of the Pakistanis at this JUI-F reception in Karachi probaly believed and applauded this absurd theory.
“Religion of Peace,” indeed.
If that’s not bad enough (Boris?) the young woman who was flogged now denies that it even happened.
