HA!: ICE Arrests Smiling Terrorist Youssef Megahed for Deportation
By Debbie Schlussel
Despite being acquitted, Friday, by a moronic jury led by a guy with a Muslim son-in-law, maybe there will be some justice after all for Youssef Megahed, the terrorist who got away with transporting pipe bombs and explosives in his brother’s car. Let’s hope he doesn’t succeed in fighting it as long as John Demjanjuk did.
Officials with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) . . . have taken Youssef Megahed into custody.
In a written statement, ICE spokesman James Judge said, “Today, agents from ICE arrested Youssef Megahed, an Egyptian national for civil violations of the Immigration and Nationality Act.”
“Mr. Megahed has been placed into removal proceedings and is being held in ICE custody pending the outcome of his case. He will have the opportunity to present the facts of his case before an immigration judge.”
Megahed is not a U.S. citizen, only a Legal Permanent Resident. I’m glad ICE had the guts to take this step and stop him before he gained his permanent golden ticket of U.S. citizenship. Let’s hope The Lesbionic Woman doesn’t set the guy free and start investigating the agents who did the arrest as she did with the Bellingham, Washington illegal alien arrests.
If he challenged his removal, which he definitely will, it’s more likely he’ll lose. The jury verdict in the federal case does not rule the decision of the Executive Office of Immigration Review (immigration court). And, as an attorney, I can tell you that the standard for admission of evidence in immigration court is far less strict than that in a regular federal court, even if Megahed tries to seek asylum (which would make the hearings closed to the press). Plus, an immigration judge, not an O. J.-style jury, decides the case. That makes a big difference.
Any of the things he and Ahmed Mohamed did can be introduced, including the many things prosecutors deliberately and unscrupulously left out in the federal trial–many of which I’ve pointed out on this site previously. And many others I did not point out yet.
I wouldn’t advice Megahed to start packing just yet. He’ll have endless opportunities to appeal.
But perhaps we’ll see some justice yet against Youssef Megahed. Insh’allah [allah willing].
Hey, Youssef, best not to regrow your newly-shorn Islamic beard, any time soon.
Yes! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA
