Hamtramckstan: Sharia Girls Only Prom Arranged by Public School District

By Debbie Schlussel

It’s sharia prom time in Hamtramck, Michigan a/k/a Hamtramckstan.  And who cares if it violates the Establishment Clause of the U.S. Constitution.  We must bow down to Islam and accommodate Muslim extremism no matter what, right?  If you’re a Hamtramck property tax payer, please contact me via e-mail because there might be something we can do to fight this. While it is paid for by privately raised money and not held on school grounds, the Michigan laws are much tougher than the Establishment Clause, and even the slightest involvement by the school is enough of a nexus. More about the “halal” prom, below.

hamtramck.jpgislamiccrescent.jpg

“Does This Ugly Purple Sharia Dress Make Me Look Fat? allah Forgive Me That Some Back Skin is Showing!”

But first a little about Hamtramckstan. For years, I’ve been telling you about the Islamicization of Hamtramck, the once Polish Catholic city surrounded by Detroit.  As I’ve told you over the years, Hamtramck has been overtaken and dominated by mostly Yemeni, Bangladeshi, and Bosnian Muslim immigrants who’ve bought out Catholic churches and turned them into mosques and who prevailed on the city to allow the noise pollution of the Muslim call to prayer. And to make it a sanctuary city for Muslim illegal aliens.  When part of what is now ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) was still the U.S. Customs Service, an ICE agent friend of mine–who is of Polish descent and was working on shutting down HAMAS and Hezbollah funding out of the Detroit area–took me to Hamtramck for a day of touring, showing me all the places and charities that were involved in Islamic terrorism. There were a lot of them.  That was back in 2001.  And even before that, there have been reports of anti-Black hate crimes, including violent beatings and attacks, by Muslim students in the Hamtramck public schools.  That’s been going on for at least two decades. And most of the Muslim immigrants are on welfare, AFDC, Medicaid, and every other entitlement they can get their hands on . . . courtesy of you.

And don’t forget the “model Muslim City Councilman” who apparently beat his wife, but got away with it. Muslims are not yet the majority on the City Council (which would make it the first Muslim-controlled city in America), but they lost that chance by just a hair. And they and their dhimmis are making every effort to erase any sign of Polish heritage, replacing it with Islamic influences. It’s a microcosm of what is and will continue to slowly happen to America at the hands of Islam and Muslims. We won’t see it happen in our generation, but our grandchildren and great-grandchildren will.

It’s a sad development for me, personally, because my great-uncle, Chaim Dorman, made his living with shoe stores in Hamtramck in the 1910s and 1920s, which is the reason I am here.  He and my great-aunt,  Rose, could not have children, and they were successful in the shoe business, so they brought my grandmother over from Poland to raise as their own daughter.  I’ll bet they are all turning over in their graves to see what happened to Hamtramck, but note that the Polish Catholics and the rest of us did this to Hamtramck because we stood idly by as more and more Muslims came to America.

And now to the shariah prom:

As she looked at her reflection in the mirror, her one-shoulder lavender gown matching the elaborate hijab that framed her face in a cascade of flowers — a style learned on YouTube — Tharima Ahmed knew that what lay ahead was more than simply a prom. As organizer of Hamtramck High School’s first all-girl prom, which conforms to religious beliefs forbidding dating, dancing with boys or appearing without a head scarf in front of men and boys, Ms. Ahmed, 17, was forging a new rite of passage for every teenage Muslim girl who ever spent prom night at home, wistfully watching the limousines roll by.

“Hi guys — I mean girls!” Ms. Ahmed, a Bangladeshi-American, exuded into the microphone as 100 girls — Yemeni-American, Polish-American, Palestinian-American, Bosnian-American and African-American — began pouring into the hall on Bangladesh Avenue. . . .

For Ms. Ahmed and her prom committee, the dance was the emotional denouement of seven months of feverish planning in which they raised $2,500, mostly through bake sales. Ignoring the naysayers who could not imagine a prom without boys, Ms. Ahmed and her friends approached their task systematically, taking a survey of all the girls at Hamtramck High. They found that 65 percent were not able to attend the prom because of cultural and religious beliefs. In addition to Muslim girls (and alumnae who never got the opportunity), other students wanted to go, too. “I want to support all my girls,” said Sylwia Stanko, who was born in Poland and whose friends are mostly Bengali or Arabic. “I know how important it is to them.”

The prom promised “music all night, except during dinner and five minutes for prayer.” A former Knights of Columbus hall was transformed into princess-pink perfection, the pink tablecloths and balloons matching prom programs with cursive pink lettering. . . .

Like the prom, the city of Hamtramck is a mixer of a different kind. Along Joseph Campau Street, a monumental statue of Pope John Paul II presides over Pope Park, with its festive mural of Krakow. A poster for the television program “Bosnian Idol” is displayed in the Albanian Euro Mini Mart, known for homemade yogurt and burek, traditional spinach and meat pies. During her English class, Ms. Ahmed can hear the call to prayer over loudspeakers from the Al-Islah Islamic Center a few blocks from school.

Diversity was hard-won: The mosque, one of five in the city, was the subject of controversy in 2004, when some people strenuously objected to the city’s decision to allow it to broadcast prayers five times a day; the city ultimately prevailed, regulating the hours when the call may be sounded.

In sharp contrast to earlier immigrants, drawn by the once-thriving auto industry, a quarter of the residents now live below the federal poverty level.

“People here have to work out their difficulties,” said Mayor Karen Majewski, an ethnic historian and Hungarian folk dancer. “There’s no opportunity to hide in your cul-de-sac.”

Majewski, as you can tell, is a major Islamo-panderer, as are most of the remaining Polish officerholders in town.

At Hamtramck High, which has 900 students, many non-Muslims respectfully tuck away their food and water bottles during Ramadan. The prom reflects a broad cultural shift. “Twenty years ago, parents used to pull fifth-grade girls out of school for arranged marriages,” said Chris Bindas, a library aide who brought chocolate-dipped cream puffs to the prom. “Now these same girls are going to college” — albeit a college close to home, where the girls will continue to live with their parents.

Wow, how assimilated they are! Not. Um, going to college doesn’t mean you have absorbed yourself into American culture or modernized. That they won’t have a prom with men or remove their headrags is what matters. Or that they won’t condemn Islamic terrorism and the blowing up of innocent civilians, especially if they are Americans or Jews. These cretinettes are still in the backward Middle East. Sadly, though, it’s come here.

Shortly before 8, it was time for prayer, the spaghetti straps and empire waists disappearing under hijabs and abayas, a prayer rug taking its place on the dance floor. . . .

Then the hall erupted with a song by the band 3alawah, and the girls performed a debka, a Middle Eastern circle dance. Everyone held hands, snaking around the dessert buffet and columns decorated with artificial wisteria.

The jubilant energy of 100 young women feeling victorious and beautiful filled the room.

Yup, that’s how the New York HAMAS Times legitimizes Islamic extremism in America and Muslims’ refusal to assimilate into American culture: “jubilant,” “full of “energy,” “beautiful.”

PUH-LEEZE, it’s anything but these things. In fact, the exact opposite. It’s a tragedy. More for America than for them.

Whenever I write about the Islamicization of Hamtramck (as I have many times over the years), I get e-mails and comments from uber-liberal Hamtramck residents who insist this is not happening because they are delusional.  Also delusional are morons like Detroit Newsistan columnist Neil Rubin, an extremely liberal JINO (Jew In Name Only). Just a couple years ago, he wrote one of his many Islamo-pandering BS columns about how prom in Hamtramck is a sign of Muslim assimilation into America. Not really, Neil. Separate proms for girls because their faces might turn a Muslim guy on and he should have to control himself–well, that ain’t what we call “assimilation,” buddy.

But even Rubin acknowledged that there is a girls-only prom in Hamtramckstan, casually sweeping it under the rug of “tolerance.”

Only in America. Or, rather, IslAmerica.

You say our women (muslim) are being oppressed because they cover up, but what you don’t seem to understand is that your women are the ones being oppressed by society that they strip down. The pressure to become the main object of sex appeal versus the freedom to respect your own modesty, that is the naked truth.

If a woman CHOOSES to wear a hijab, it is for modesty, not oppression. Yes. HOWEVER, if a woman is FORCED to wear a hijab, its considered oppression. It goes both ways. If a woman choose to dress in a short skirt, she can for her personal reasons, but, if she’s forcing herself to dress a certain way because she feels she has to, or the burden of NOT dressing that way is too strong to ignore, thus obligating her to follow that ideal, then it IS considered oppression. Perspective, my friend. It’s how we see it, what our actions entail, and WHY we do something that constitute oppression or not.

There is a difference between choosing and then being forced, huge difference. Women will dress how they want, solely for the purpose of dressing for themselves. But…don’t you think the media today is morphing the mindsets? Everything from clothes, to diet pills and plastic surgery. Sex appeal. It’s much more emphasized than it was years ago. It makes one more compelled to go with the flow. Being influenced in a way that it does not even seem like oppression.

We’ve just been negatively portrayed in the media and society so people don’t really understand…we need to show them that we’re not oppressed instead of just saying it…action speaks louder than words…you know when me and hubby were getting his health card, the officer said we were the first muslim couple he saw who were talking and laughing…and we wonder where people get the idea that we’re oppressed!

Someone had once told me, “Even though our country has eliminated racism in every possible way, the internal jealousy and hatred against other races and/or religions will always remain within some people.”
I can see now how true that is. ‘All Girls’ Prom’ was a dream of a well-achieved Muslim Bengali-American girl from Hamtramck High School. “Debbie”, in this case, is the darkness that tries to ruin that girl’s dreams. Are you folks that much of a monster to try and stomp on our beliefs? I wouldn’t call you prejudice, because you’re far MORE than prejudice, you’re a BIGOT.
Islam has taught us to never hold grudge nor form hate in our hearts for those who differ from us. How could you possibly say so many abhorrent things about a religion of that sort??
Have you neither shame nor any mercy for those of different races/religions?
This was a huge event for various amounts of girls in Hamtramck, and we plan to carry on the tradition that Tharima Ahmed has created this year. I extremely doubt you can do anything to stop us, whether it’s hosting an ‘All Girls’ Prom’ or whether it’s believing in Islam. We’re proud to be Muslims.
Also, be well aware of the U.S. Constitution before applying it to this case. Have you not read well upon the basic rights of the U.S. citizens? The ‘Pursuit of Happiness’ clearly states that we have the right to pursue any legal activity as long as it does not infringe on the rights of others.

Hi Ms.Debbie,
Us Muslims have not done anything wrong to anyone, we are trying to be happy and enjoy our life. Why talk about the constitution when clearly you don’t no anything about it, slavery ended a long time ago. But till this day racism hasn’t and the ignorance of one to blame this on us and our religion is pathetic. Ms.Ahmed has done no wrong a senior wanted to fulfill her dreams and many other girls so there’s nothing wrong with that. Don’t waste you time on talking about Islam and stuff that you don’t know about.

Farjana Islam on May 4, 2012 at 8:37 pm

Muslims didn’t ruin Hamtramck it’s the uneducated and ignorant people like you guys

Jay on May 4, 2012 at 8:52 pm

I find it so funny how people are sitting there making racist comments about Muslims. Honestly, STFU, you people have NO RIGHT to talk about Muslims like that. Take a look at yourself and take a look at the Muslims out there. American girls these days wear things that aren’t even considered clothes. They go around flashing their womanly parts. What Muslim do you see doing that? And you people have the NERVE to talk about Muslims! You guys aren’t any better than Muslims. To be honest, you’re worse. And you people say was this a lesbian prom? Like, WTF. They had a all girls prom, that sh*t doesn’t make them a lesbian! It clearly says Muslims aren’t allowed to dance with guys, maybe that’s why they had a prom. Ever think of that? You people need to look at yourself before you go around and talk trash about other people. You’re clearly going down so effing low talking about people. You people sure do know how to be racist.

Anonymous on May 4, 2012 at 8:59 pm

Let me see if I have this right.

Ms. Ahmed wanted to live her life according to the morals she was raised with. Rather than imposing her worldview on anyone else, she took the initiative to organize an event that would allow her classmates to enjoy themselves and stay true to their faith without sacrificing an American rite of passage.

Ms. Schlussel goes online to call an entire group terrorists and whine about a teenager doing something awesome.

All of a sudden, I can’t WAIT for a future where people like Ahmed are in charge and people like you are relegated to the sorts of internet backwaters where we keep the Klansmen and neo-Nazis.

Christina Fayz on May 4, 2012 at 9:02 pm

Ms. Debbie,

I bet if you were to meet me, you’d would loose all hate for my kind. I’m more Americanized than you can believe, and I still represent my blood. You have no rights to say my religion is followed by only terrorists.

By the way, your Polish, right? I hang out with my Polish friends everyday. And they’re parents like me as much as anyone else I know does. You claim most of the Polish people dislike us Muslims, but I don’t I ever met one that dislikes me. Your racist. And you probably are a good person, but posting up blogs like this on the internet makes me feel like your pathetic. I wish you luck in life, because you’re going to need it.

Evan Hussain on May 4, 2012 at 9:07 pm

I guess Debbie and her little cult right here are nothing but inbred rednecks that have nothing to do but bash on Muslims. Because having an all girl’s prom is really making you toss and turn in your sleep, right? You people are the epitome of shameless Americans that are doing nothing but putting your own country down. Tsk, tsk. There is no hope of moving forward in this country when people of your kind still exist. But I guess you’re just a bit upset since you weren’t invited to the prom. Boohoohoo. You really don’t sound professional at all, by the way. You sound like a little 12 year old girl ranting to her diary. Take this crap somewhere else. “PUH-LEEZ.”

OBC on May 4, 2012 at 9:21 pm

To the dumbass Hamtramck troll who commented at 9:02 pm this evening:

“I can’t WAIT for a future where people like Ahmed are in charge and people like you are regulated to these sorts of internet backwaters”

OMFG, are you really that serious Hamtramck troll? You’re advocating for fascisim, etc.? Lookit here, you apparently are ignorant of the 1st Amendment, and let educate you about the First Amendment you unhinged loon, “The 1st Amendment protects the people’s right to practice religion, to speak freely, to assemble, to address the government and of the press to publish.” That means that NOONE (that includes the government, companies, organizations, etc.) has the right to silence or regulate anyone on whatever there saying.

And let also add this about the 1st Amendment since you’re a crypto-fascist, the 1st Amendment is to PROTECT speech that you don’t like, find tasteless, provacative, hateful, harsh etc., we don’t need NO type of amendment to protect speech you like, etc. And since you said that you would like to see this Ahmed person be in charge and regulate this and that, you ought to move out of this country and move to Saudi Arabia, Iran, Syria, North Korea, Cuba, Venezula, ex-Soviet Union, etc. for showing you’re true colors of fascisim, & tyranny.

All these girls were trying to do was spend a night with girls from their high school, and now theyre being judged?? I find it soo funny because girls that arent Muslim were also at this girls prom! Hamtramckstan? Now really? What does that mean? The fact that we were noticed as a girls prom really erked this physco. Like wow whats so wrong about a prom that doesnt involve girls grinding on guys and what now, and snuck in alcohol? This person needs to get their head out their ass and understand that they are living in a DIVERSE city with people that have the power to make such occasions happen. At the end of the night, we all had a good time without having to degrade ourselves and lose self respect. Go Tharima all the way and forget what the haters say.

Reading these comments are making me sick to the stomach. The whole mockery of your tradition comment made me laugh. PLEASE explain what this “tradition” of prom is ? Define it in your own words, and keep in mind that your own daughter/son will or has been on that dance floor all up on the opposite sex, how does that feel? Maybe even knowing they rented a room afterwards? Hmm, what a tradition alright! PUH-LEEZE!!!!!

HAHAHAHAHAHA

Mahrup Ahmed on May 5, 2012 at 12:18 am

To Debbie and Sean R:

It is quite funny how you quote the Constitution and are completely unaware of your hypocrisy. You have the right to speak freely and others do not have the right to practice their religion? Your comments are an indication of the sad, ignorant human beings you two must be. You’re venting out anger towards teenage girls in high school who worked tirelessly for months organizing a beautiful, memorable event. Now does that really suit adults who are in their 30s and 40s–I think not.

As for Hamtramck turning into Hamtramckstan, well again you are definitely utilizing the art of propaganda. Hamtramck is not known for the Yemeni, Bangladeshi, or Bosnian Muslims–Hamtramck is known for its diversity. Since you two live in a white and racist world of your own, you wouldn’t understand the importance of diversity. But, the people here embrace it. Kids like me are grateful that we grew up and went to school in Hamtramck, and were given the opportunity to be exposed to people from all corners of the world. We were taught to accept and tolerate all different ethnicities and forms of religion, an important lesson that you obviously missed.

Don’t get me wrong and accuse me of infringing on your right to freedom of speech. Go ahead, comment and bash on this prom as much as you want, but what is this racist blog of yours really going to do Debbie? Ignite a revolution against Islam? That’s highly unlikely considering the majority of Americans are rational–not delusional people who fear aliens, the government, and Muslims are after them.

And trust me, the girls this grotesque blog is aimed towards, are not in any way affected by the slander on this page. Keep your head up girls!

a.j on May 5, 2012 at 12:39 am

I wasn’t going to comment on this.. but seeing the comments I just couldn’t help myself…. I mean i respect your opinion and all but you really have no right to say anything negative against any culture, religion or race.. I don’t care what kind of law states you can it’s just not right, you’re making this a bigger issue then it should be, and all these bangali people swearing and stuff aren’t making it any better.. I mean yea stand up for your right but you don’t have to tell the girl to “EAT BOGA” come on now is that how you were raised? and whoever wrote this has no idea whatsoever of what islam really is.. Sweetie you should get your facts right and then write things that is going to be visible by everyone… and referring muslims to terrorist is taking it a tad bit to far.. cuz all terrorist aren’t muslim.. PEOPLE just think too much and generalize every muslim being a terrorist and being realated to Osama Bin Laden.. just think if Muslims Didn’t exist would that cease all terror or violence in the world? I mean why is this topic even made such a big issue just let people freakin live!

I see there is a article about my hometown.I currently still live in Hamtramck.I am polish American and proud of it. And first of all ,I see so many people post on here who are not from Hamtrmack or Detroit “I studied the city”. please go study tolerance towards other people. And comments like “muzzies” or calling Hamtramckistan makes you sound stupid and ignorant and yes the only people who would agree with you is a organization that has 3 k’s in their name. Its really disgusting to see so many small minded people.I am positive more then half of you are tea party supporters because 100% of them can’t even read. And no one kicked the poles out of Hamtramck.they left because of the housing market. same reason so many Bosnians and Albanians moving out.I want one of you to come here and live for a month and get to know the community.I don’t agree with a separate prom I wanted to be unified. But I also want most of you fascist like this chick who made this article to be thrown in jail. GOD BLESS AMERICA AND HAMTRAMCK!!!.

Welcome to Hamtramck on May 5, 2012 at 2:17 am

So Debbie tell me, have you ever lived in Hamtramck?
I grew up there. Did most of my grade schooling there and currently attend Michigan State University studying engineering. I have a girlfriend who is of the same culture and also attends the same university. We are both good people. We do volunteer work, donate to the poor, and always try our best to help others. Guess what the funny thing is. We both grew up in Muslim households. I am currently atheist, but that is a story for another time. The thing is religion does not determine ones moral stature. You can be a Christian, Muslim, Atheist, or anything else and still be great people. You can also be in one of those groups and still be an ignorant asshole who somehow managed to get a hold of a keyboard and an internet connection. In the short time that these immigrants have been in this country, they have made great strides towards the American dream. Go look up the kids with the highest GPAs and I guarantee that many of them are minorities. These girls choose to follow their faith. They are trying to enjoy something that they don’t normally get to. Sure some parents are strict, but it will take much time for those cultures to change. Your opinion is different but it is only an opinion and you are entitled to it. Let these people have theirs. You know what the people of Hamtramck have been able to do much better than a lot of the world? Live in harmony with diversity. Maybe you should enter the 21st century and learn to accept other peoples cultures. As for all of you Muslim people, you need to relax. If you really are the religion of peace then show it. This blogger is entitled to her opinion. Why not show her intelligently and coherently why she is wrong?

tl;dr
Everyone just needs to get along.

Debbie girl, what’s up, after reading over the article, I can’t help but wonder how bad is your vaginal itch? You’re making silly ignorant remarks, I think you’re choosing to to rebel against the Islamic population of MI because of your tremendously huge vaginal itch, but don’t worry, we will overlook your silly article, because it’s so sad to see that you have no support, and to make you a happier person, help your days go by nicer, and to make sure you don’t type out more close minded, unthoughtful, ignorant articles, I am willing to buy you a lifetimes worth of Vagisil, just contact me via email, thank you for taking the time to read my response, and don’t worry, we know your sorry. We know it was your itchy, racist, grumpy vagina doing the thinking and not you.

sum1 on May 5, 2012 at 2:28 pm

Debbie, you must have some resentment towards this because of your own prom. Get over it.

Sean, just shut the fuck up.

Seriously, the hypocrisy embedded in this damn article just contradicts whatever bullshit point you’re trying to make. If Muslims are so dangerous and hateful, why is it that you’re the one writing this hatefilled trash? You point out bad things as if Muslims are the only ones who do bad. Why are you so bent on bashing this? Do you feel that if you don’t, we’ll blow your country up? Some girls putting together an all girls prom is equivalent to the destruction of ”tradition” and the Consitution? Bullshit. It’s sad as hell to see that adults are bashing on teenage girls for trying to achieve something great. You don’t see teenage non-Muslims here bashing along, they’re not as fucking ignorant. What you see is mostly teenage Muslims defending themselves against ignorant racists.

How is it that an all girls prom is blasphemy but yet it’s all good when Catholics build all girl or all boy SCHOOLS? Why are you hating with no basis? I mean what the fuck inconvenience have Muslims caused you? Are you living in a bomb shelter fighting for your life? I hope not. To the guy that said Muslims moving here and not assimilating causes fault, how fucking ignorant are you? People come to the United States to practice their beliefs freely.

The people of Hamtramck respect each other. No one is any more hateful towards the other. Hate is equal. Love is equal. Every religion has ignorant bastards. Islam. Christianity. Judaism. Etc etc. We all know it. But that doesn’t make the enire religion a crime against humanity. I have friends of all different races and religions. Can any of you racist assholes say the same? So whose the society hater now? Your hatred is built on shit you don’t even understand, it’s there simply because you don’t know what else to aim it towards. You have not studied the Quran because even the best Muslim scholars cannot decipher it in its entirety. How can an entire religion of millions of people be based on a book of hate? Think. And there’s also a reason a lot of the world is turning to Islam. Even here. We can all say for sure that no one’s being forced to here, right? They choose to.

If any of you ignorant fucks end up having kids, and they grow up to accept all this rather than hate like you, then they will be far better than you will ever be.

Hamtramck is love and diversity. Hamtramck is the future of the United States. Bright. Religion doesn’t breed hate, ignorance of it does.

Let me ask the Muslim folks here a question: If I were to pack up my family and move to a country in the M.E., would the governments and societies in those countries be tolerant and accepting of my beliefs, traditions and customs? If I lived in Yemen, Jordan or anywhere else over there, could I have a boys and girls prom at a high school there (are there high schools in the M.E.? I don’t honestly know)because it’s an American tradition? Could I demand that I be accepted over there because I am American and a Christian? Or, as I suspect, would I be expected to live by the traditions, forms, customs and laws of the said country? Oh, and I am Catholic. Being an American Christian, I would expect my family to be wiped out if I tried anything even remotely close.

So please, telling me that I need to be tolerant and PC (God forbid I offend anyone) of Muslims and Islam and cramming your beliefs and traditions down my throat. I don’t live in the M.E. and I am not Muslim. I expect you and anyone else that comes here to be tolerant and accepting of America’s traditions and customs and to fit into our society, just like I would be expected to in any other country on this planet. Quit trying to make America like your home country. If you like it so much better there, move back. America is still a free country (mostly anyway) and that door swings both ways. I happen to like things the way they are (or used to be).

In this case the girls wanted to have a Sharia “girls only” prom. That’s great. I don’t have to like it. A traditional American prom has both boys and girls and is a American teenage right-of-passage here. The bottom line though is that if Muslims want to live under Sharia law, practice Sharia law, move to a country that has it. America does not. And stop expecting it and Americans to be tolerant of it. Could I honestly expect the same thing in a M.E. country?

This is where people start calling me a racist, an Islamophobe, a hater blah blah blah. Whatever. I am none of the above. I am an American. I expect nothing more or less from people other than I be treated the way they expect to be treated. I don’t care what color, ethnicity, religion or sex you are. I treat all folks exactly like they treat me.

And for the record, my best friend, who I have been best friends with since the age of 7 (we are both now 40) is from Iran. He and his family are still practicing Muslim. I probably know more about Islam than most average people. His Dad moved them over here because he wanted to have the most opportunity to give his kids the best that could be gotten. And to practice his religion, Islam, the way the HE sees fit for him and his family. And for them it works. I have prayed with them (or tried to anyway, following Muslim traditions) and they have prayed with us following Christian traditions. And I have learned from them just how intolerant Islam can be. But every religion has it’s fanatics. Religion for them, and likewise my family, has always been about using it as a guide and figuring out what works best for each family or individual. IMO, that really is what religion is supposed to be about. And what the freedoms of America are supposed to be about.

To this day, his family still seem to understand America’s core values and what America is really all about better than 90% of Americans. And that’s sad.

You are a sad man. I dont understand how we are forcing our traditions into the US more like trying to just have a good time with a few girls from our school. Thats it. This prom wasnt technically even a Muslim prom until people like you made it into something it wasnt. I want to know your opinion on WHY its so wrong to have such a prom, please explain.

    Muslim 313 on May 8, 2012 at 1:42 am

You seriously have no life talking about people like that. What did they do to you? In my opinion you write the stupidest crap i have ever heard. Keep your anger issues to yourself no one wants to listen to your ignorant self. You don’t have to hate on other people…you act like you were the first person in america.. YOUR AN IMMIGRANT ALSO.

Emily on May 5, 2012 at 4:49 pm

Your ignorant. People like you have problems and need mental help. Your pathetic and just hating, so you should fuck off, and leave Ms Ahmed alone.

Momo on May 5, 2012 at 4:58 pm

People like you make the world a sad place to live in.

Momo on May 5, 2012 at 5:25 pm

George on May 5, 2012 at 11:59 pm

Ay Goerge, you can suck my big fat American dick

Ibrahim Ahmed on May 6, 2012 at 12:17 pm

Doesn’t the Quran forbid homosexuality?

George on May 6, 2012 at 1:23 pm

Yes, it actually does, and that’s probably why I’m not a homo. Wow, you’ve made two ignorant comments in one day. Good job, maybe one day you can be a Debbie

Ibrahim Ahmed on May 6, 2012 at 3:25 pm

“I have become victorious through terror.”
“If they changeth their Islamic deen (religion), kill them.”

Ordinarily, I would say that Mohammed said this, but there’s a good argument that Mohammed never existed.

Tanstaafl on May 6, 2012 at 3:46 pm

But asking another man to perform oral sex on you, as you did, is a homosexual act.

George on May 6, 2012 at 5:07 pm

I think what you are doing is utter bs, whats your point of attacking muslim girls just because of their faith. You’re polish right? what if someone said bad stuff about you for being another ethnicity from them? also live in hamtramck for a year and youll probably end up being a good person. ignorant boga

mahfus on May 6, 2012 at 11:57 pm

I went to an all girl Catholic high school – although I no longer affiliate myself with any religion. What a wonderful idea for a prom this was! I hope the girls had a great time feeling beautiful for themselves…not to compete for guys. I do not think i would like to wear the custom clothes — but, I certainly think that what many girls wear today is way to sexual – too desperate to out-compete with the shorter skirt next to you! Like all we are is a product we are trying to sell! I have heard horrible things about some Muslim people – and I am sure there are horrible, hateful Muslims – maybe even as many horrible, hateful Christians or Jews or ? If children or women are being hurt or repressed anywhere in the world – in any religion – in my opinion, it IS wrong. But, I refuse to judge based on fear or other people’s opinions. It makes me sad to think I may be hated because I am not Muslim. It makes me more sad if I were to do the same to other people.

So, it’s not enough that this woman (and I use the word very loosely, Hellspawned ConservaCow is more appropriate) calls for the genocide of all Muslims (source: http://www.debbieschlussel.com/36592/whoa-osama-bin-laden-dead-but-wont-make-much-diff-amid-growin-islamic-threat-to-west/), but now she’s poking fun at a few high school girls trying to enjoy the last months before their graduation. There is absolutely no reasoning with people like this, anyone trying is just wasting their time. I would LOVE if you, Miss Schlussel, would come pay a visit to Hamtramck High School to talk about your views on Islam.

There’s a special place in Hell for people like this. Right next to Nero of Rome and Hitler.

Mohamed Hussein on May 7, 2012 at 7:23 pm

    You tell em brother

Ibrahim Ahmed on May 7, 2012 at 7:47 pm

Mohamed — I loved you in the WWE. That sounded like a threat against Debbie. Just another Muslim male threatening an innocent female.

Ibrahim — So if Debbie went to this special place in Hell you talk about, it’d be her, Nero, Hitler, and Osama bin Laden right? Would they play Uno?

George on May 7, 2012 at 9:28 pm

    Hi, George.
I’d like to point a few things you made a mistake on.

    1) Mohamed wasn’t exactly ‘threatening’ Debbie; he’s just doing what most of the commenters on this blog are doing: Hating. Is it really too much to ask for when we want everyone to accept the diversity around them in order to have a more peaceful union? What ever happened to “America is a free country”? Isn’t U.S.A. our country as much as it is yours? I believe, according to the U.S. Constitution, it is. Also, to everyone who is using profanity big time: Cursing isn’t going to help the situation; rather it’s making it worse. If you’re hoping to talk some sense into anyone, cursing is MOST DEFINITELY not the right way.

    2) Ibrahim wasn’t the one to mention anything about hell, than why are you asking him the questions? Isn’t it Mohamed that you should be asking? And as for Mohamed–Even though it feels obvious to you that Debbie would go to hell for all this, you don’t have that right to decide whether she really is or not. For the best of it all, why don’t you all just leave it up to Allah to decide this? After all it is in His power to do that, right?

Muslim313 on May 8, 2012 at 11:18 am

All of you need to shut the fuck up and debbie you are a dumb bitch that is choking on a big fat dick. IT WAS A FUCKING PROM WITH NO BOYS WHY ARE YOU SO MAD THE GIRLS DANCED AND HAD FUN, WHAT ARE YOU MAD THE GIRLS WEREN’T GRINDING ON GUYS???? WOULD YOU RATHER HAVE ALL GIRLS ASSES RUBBING GUYS DICKS WHILE “DANCING”??

Ruby on May 10, 2012 at 6:54 pm

Please, Debbie, explain how this alternate prom is any different in essence from the Prom offered by many conservative Christian groups where the boy/girl mixing is controlled, dancing may be prohibited, the hours may be limited, all in keeping with their Christian beliefs. Those too are paid for privately and administered privately, usually at the church of that group. I remember the same sort of upset against these groups, and the schools even trying to make prom a school function with required attendance, which quickly got justifiably shot down.

Tom McClure on June 5, 2012 at 1:58 pm

The Muslim prophet Mohammad was an evil child molester (he married an 8 year old little girl) and an evil supporter of slavery.

Truth on September 15, 2013 at 10:36 am

No need to worried, it just a prom, but if the Muslim dare to bring any of their dog-shit sharia law into the USA then perhaps for the second coming of American Revolution. We first kick the British out, next it will be the Muslim turn. Lol and P.S I’ll also be the second coming of George Washington.
