Ted Nugent Shoulda Been “In Jail or Dead” Long Before Obama: Draft-Dodging Multi-BabyDaddy Child Predator

By Debbie Schlussel

Attention-seeking has-been Ted Nugent is at it again.  He claimed at this past weekend’s NRA convention that if Barack Obama is elected, Nugent will either be in jail or dead.  Neither of which would bother me.  That this hypocritical draft-dodging, child predator father of eight kids with six different women is a “conservative hero” is sheer idiocy and shows that we have as many–or more–morons and double-standardites on the right as there are on the left.  And if you like Ted Nugent, you are one, too.

Conservative IQ Test: If You Like Him, You’re a Moron (& Not a Conservative)

As I noted in my column, “The Hypocritical Summer of Ted Nugent,” this sleazy, fraudulent, aging former rocker draft-dodged to get out of the Vietnam War by not showering and wearing the same clothes for thirty days, evacuating himself in them, so the doctors would declare him unfit.  He said it was better for others to serve and die instead of him because he said he’d have been killed, and he needed to rock!  And he also lied in writing to get a student deferment.  On his successful deferment application, he claimed he was a college student, and yet he was, instead, touring with his band, while other men his age were risking their lives–many giving life and limb–to fight in Vietnam.  Almost as disgusting, in his book, “Ted, White, and Blue: The Nugent Manifesto,” Nugent has the chutzpah to blame the reason he didn’t serve on his late father, a war veteran, and his teachers in school. Oh, and in the book, he advocates for a return to the draft . . . you know, the draft he dodged and which made exceptions for student deferment frauds like the one he perpetrated. He confirms that fraud in “Ted, White, and Blue,” writing that, during the war, he was not a student.

My American rock ‘n’ roll dream kept me in the world of killer music and on the road for 300 or more days a year.

Get it? Killer music. Wow, you’re so punny, Ted! I’m sure the ghosts of Vietnam vets appreciate the joke at their expense.

And “Uncle Ted” isn’t just your run-of-the-mill sleazebag con artist. He’s a child-molesting sicko, too.  He had the parents of his underaged girlfriend sign her over to him as her guardian so he could have sex with her. He was thirty at the time. Yes, the parents should have been locked up for child abuse and sex trafficking . . . and he should have met the same fate. Then, he had the teenager raise his kids while he stayed on the road to have sex with other groupies.

He’s now the proud babydaddy to eight children with six different women, most of whom he abandoned and to whom he refused to pay child support.  One of those kids was fathered with another woman (not his wife) during his current marriage, and while he fought for years to avoid paying even a dime of child support, you paid instead, as the kid and mother went on welfare.  Despite all of this, Ted Nugent had the chutzpah to lecture Black people not to have so much sex and father kids out of wedlock in a chapter of his book, entitled, “Black Like Me.”  He never mentions his own behavior or multiple progeny with multiple concubines.  The thing is, even most Black NFL players with multiple kids with several women, whom we constantly (and rightfully) mock, don’t have as many kids with as many women as Ted Nugent does.  Ask yourself why it’s okay when Nugent does it, but not when Black residents of the ghetto or employees of the NBA and NFL do it. And ask Nugent himself why it’s okay to attack Black America for the lifestyle he lives free of criticism or introspection. Here’s what this double standard creep wrote in Ted, White, and Blue (although he plagiarized the first sentence–completely without credit–from DebbieSchlussel.com and Fatherhood.org):

Kids who are raised by single parents are much more likely to get involved in drugs, drop out of school, have sex at an early age, and get involved in crime. . . . This is what the black studs who impregnate our young women must want because they are absent in the lives of their offspring. . . . The greatest threat to our communities is the lack of sexual values in both our young men and women.

Tell it to your mirror, schmuck. But, no, he blames it on Barack Obama . . . in a book copyrighted 2008, when Obama was just a candidate.

Oh, and if you’re a Christian–whether Catholic or Protestant–don’t be too forgiving of the Motor City Moron.  In his episode of “Behind the Music,” he mocked organized religion and the belief in G-d, and, in his book, he called the Catholic Church, “the in-house gang of pedophiles” (Pot.  Kettle.  Black. Ted Nugent, Guardian of Underage Girlfriend When He Was Age 30), and made vile statements on stage at a concert that rival the crudest rap artists, including telling the audience about his penchant for “eating p-ssy.”  I have the copy of his “Behind the Music” episode, and, in the footage, he makes that exact statement on stage while simulating sex acts onstage with some women in lingerie.  This is, after all, the proud author and performer of “Wang Dang Sweet Poontang.”  If you object when Black hip hop hucksters do this, why do you give Ted Nugent a pass?

File Under: Class Act “Conservatives.”  When faux-“conservatives” like Sean Hannity and others on FOX News constantly feature and promote this scumbag, it says a lot about the values they really believe in:  none.  They are frauds and hypocrites just like he is.

Ted Nugent is an IQ test for conservatives.  If you like him, you are officially an imbecile.

Debbie, I don’t agree with you on much…
but on this, we are in agreement…

It makes me truly sick to see commenters on Free Republic defending this guy…

He is scum…

dave on April 17, 2012 at 11:27 pm

So tell me DEb are you ready to use force to remove all the traitorous scum or not.
Stop braying like a hyena and get off his back , we have more than enough enemies to deal with .

If he is a fraud again he will fall by the wayside either way quit barking at the moon.

He is not perfect but he is not one of our enemies, after we fix the republic we can punish him.

You obviously do not get divide and conquer of are you just another republican phony.

Stay Focused

Kevin Kehoe on April 17, 2012 at 11:42 pm

    Kevin,

I had the same thought. I appreciate knowing the background (I used to be fan in the late 70’s) and am only mildly surprised after watching a couple of episodes of his reality program and interviews.

But I tend to agree with you. Why are worried about attacking Nugent at an NRA rally? Shouldn’t we be grateful this screw up got ONE thing right?

The Democrats have already won one round this primary by helping us all to see the glaring hypocrisy and intellectual deficiencies of many of our “co-conservatives.”

The “enemy of my enemy” adage holds true for me here.

    PolitiJim (@politiJim) on April 18, 2012 at 10:39 am

Uh, excuse you, he IS an “enemy” – of the US armed forces who protect our freedoms; of Black Americans and other minority groups who are still subjected to racism in this day and age; of single mothers raising children conceived by philandering fathers; and of young, impressionable girls who become victims of pedophiles.

He is an “enemy” of conservatives, liberals and everyone in between.

Instead of telling Debbie to “stay focused,” you need to get some focus.

Say NO to Nugent! on April 18, 2012 at 10:46 am

This man is sick, demented and needs to be put away! Why do these Sickos become stars, anyhow? Their Hitleresque attitude is not funny, nor is it acceptable! Nugent needs Meds! I hate him and his Puke inducing music, anyways!

Michael Boyce on April 18, 2012 at 3:27 pm

With all respect. I love Nuge for his music, and his views on hunting and conservation.

That said, it people like him who killed Conservatism in America. It’s as if a hippy-liberal wanted to stand out from the rest of the pack and decided to parade himself as a patriot – or most likely a parody of a patriot. The mainstream “conservatives” are most likely those hippy-liberals who were denied a place at the trough when they were in that camp.

Modern Satanists, by the way, justify their existence by doing the exact opposite of what their former coreligionists were doing in terms of ritual and sacrament. Modern conservatives are just like the Satanists in that aspect.

Agree or disagree.

The Reverend Jacques on April 18, 2012 at 12:31 am

    “his music”? “music”?

On balance for weight of meaning with “audible garbage”, I would say that, “music” would “come up, light”.

For me, that, so many human beings would pay money to listen to that kind of thing, has always been a source of alarm, . . .

Sleazy Rock and Roll Stars we can use as Shields to absorb the First Bullets.

Very OLD saying.

You do not make ENEMIES, YOU DISPOSE OF THEM!!!

Kevin Kehoe on April 18, 2012 at 1:18 am

I agree that Nugent is a lowlife. The above was not a defense of his statement – since he’s a lying hypocrite.

I: Not sure where you got your law degree (if any) or moral compass on plagiarism. But the sentence was flat out ripped off from this site and fatherhood.org, with a few conjunctions deleted, etc. That’s definitely plagiarism. And it’s a pretty apparent copyright violation. Yet, he makes zero citation and uses no quotation marks. He just steals. Period. So, I’ve deleted your incorrect “legal opinion.” DS

Dear Debbie: You may have given this creature advertising. I never hear of him till I read this posting.

Miranda Rose Smith on April 18, 2012 at 1:54 am

Even if its covered by fair use… what he did is NOT ethical. You ALWAYS acknowledge your source, even if its secondary. Paying other people tribute for their hard work is paying them respect. Why doesn’t Debbie deserve it? Regardless of whether its copyrighted or not, decency isn’t too much to ask for – and Ted Nugent has none.

This isn’t a guy conservatives should embrace. Those on the Right who do show their values are as malleable and convenient as those of Nugent. Fixed standards can go by the board if its politically convenient.

Barack Obama is likely to be re-elected and if that happens, conservatives have only themselves to blame for it.

NormanF on April 18, 2012 at 1:54 am

You ALWAYS acknowledge your source, even if its secondary.

Totally true, and I couldn’t agree with you more, but what is the dividing line between plagarism and…what we read seeping down into our minds and becoming our own thoughts and, so we think, our own words? Authors borrow. Goethe said that he borrowed from Scott and Scott borrowed from him and he approved of both transactions. More than one writer of fiction has used expressions like “his pants fitted as tightly as though he had been melted and poured into them” or “a middle-aged woman with hair like a gone-to-seed dandelion.” As a child, I loved and read and re-read Joan Aiken Hodge’s The Wolves of Willoughby Chase. As an adult, I read Elizabeth Goudge’s Green Dolphin Street. I guessed. almot immediately, that Mrs. Hodge was familiar with it.

Miranda Rose Smith on April 18, 2012 at 2:14 am

I guessed. almost immediately, that Mrs. Hodge was familiar with it.

Miranda Rose Smith on April 18, 2012 at 3:12 am

Norman, when I read your last sentence I almost puked! That thought of 4 more years, Just kinda sank in at that moment.
Help us all.

Sal on April 18, 2012 at 8:10 am

DS is spot on.

I was excited to find out I was a conservative years back. It gave me a home where I could declare what was important to me after being lied to and being a lazy Liberal (is there any other kind except those in power???).

The so-called Conservative movement IS a huge let-down to me. They have watered down their core beliefs and act like battered Stockholm-Syndrome babies.

At least DS is still holding strong to those beliefs and causes and calling out all the frauds. I appreciate it. She is by far the only one who speaks my language!!!

Skunky on April 18, 2012 at 9:10 am

The right has the same problem as the left. Just as the left no longer has any Danel Patrick Moynihans, the right no longer has William F. Buckleys or Ronald Reagans. We only have pretenders to the throne.

Jonathan E. Grant on April 18, 2012 at 9:10 am

Thanks Debbie. I have heard Ted Nugent speak. Ted Nugent does not live Family Values in the Judeo-Christian tradition.

Oddly, one of his issues is Sunday hunting. FYI I have heard him speak and he is an expert shot with bow and arrow. No one mentioned the eight kids and six women. Is he a Mormon? 🙂

bobguzzardi on April 18, 2012 at 9:28 am

Has Mike Huckabee listened to the words of “Cat Scratch Fever?” Does he even know what it means in TAN’s context?

indyhawk on April 18, 2012 at 9:39 am

Debbie, I like you even more than I already did for exposing this beast.. But, like Miranda said, don’t waste your time on nobodies. He is worse than scum. His penchant for little girls, barbarism against animals and racism/misogyny in general qualify him as the lowest of low in the realm of lowly creatures. He’s a nobody.

Yossi on April 18, 2012 at 9:41 am

I couldn’t agree with your assessment of Ted Nugent more, “the lowest of low in the realm of lowly creatures.” That was poetic!

    Dear Yossi: Thanks.

Miranda Rose Smith on April 19, 2012 at 3:25 am

Wow, what a good read! Although the title of this article says it all, I still appreciate the plethora of factual details outlined and pointed out. This article sums up exactly why I believe Ted Nugent is a certified, delusional nutjob. I don’t see how any proud American in their right mind would associate or align themselves with him.

Say NO to Nugent! on April 18, 2012 at 10:11 am

Never liked his music for the most part. Did not buy any, not one, of his albums or go to any of his concerts.

jake49 on April 18, 2012 at 10:51 am

Say what you want about his music – I have a very open mind when it comes to sounds.

The only difference between Nuge and the Insane Clown Posse (ICP) it that the Posse are at least earnest about their vices.

The Reverend Jacques on April 18, 2012 at 11:02 am

Debbie once again you hit the nail on the head about the douchebag that is Ted Nugent. This guy is nothing but a child molesting, draft dogging fake “conservative”. I see why people like Vannity have this nut on his show. I mean he has jerks like Pat Robertson, Tamara Holder, and Lamont Hill on so that’s no surprise. Anyway it won’t be long now before we see this clown on shows like Huckabuckabee and The View. Stay strong Debbie. We need you now more than ever to ferret out the dimlibs, RINOs and CINOs that are pulling our country down.

Ken b on April 18, 2012 at 11:12 am

Debbie,
I certainly admire and respect you. Even though at times I strongly disagree with you on certain things. You are a strong voice, a watchman on the wall as I like to say. With that said. Yes, you are probably right about Nugent and some of his sleazy ways. I would not approve of his hedonistic lifestyle. But he was and is a rock star. What do you expect. But for all those disgusting faults. He was totally right about what he said about the Evil Obama regime.

J: BFD. A broken clock is right twice a day. He’s a fraud and no conservative. He merely utters this stuff because it’s a PR-seeking, money-making gimmick for him since he’s no longer relevant as a rock star and has become a “conservative” (in cheap talk only). Oh, and I’m not “probably right” about Ted Nugent. I AM right. Facts are stubborn things. When you can refute a single fact in this column, please let us know. Like I’ve always said, facts are stubborn things, but blind faith followers are, sadly, more stubborn. DS

John on April 18, 2012 at 11:31 am

Debbie, I can not refute a single thing you have said, nor will I try. I am not a follower of him at all. I can’t even stand his music. Just as a gun owner and someone who loves the outdoors, I agreed with what he said about Obama. Thanks for educating people, myself included on what a low life he is. Your right, even a broken clock is right twice a day. Thats all I was saying.

John on April 18, 2012 at 1:32 pm

Much as I abjure Ted’s recklessness off-stage, he’s still one of the greats on stage or in the studio. I’ll bet my life’s fortune on it. I might change my mind if one of his conservative critics can record an instrumental that’s on the level with “Stranglehold.”

S: So glad you have your priorities straight: “Who cares if a dude is a child-molesting, serial babydaddy, draft-dodging scumbag? I wanna hear him play guitar!” So sad for Jeremiah Wright and Bill Ayers. If only they were one of “the greats on stage or in the studio,” all would be forgiven, right? DS

Seek on April 18, 2012 at 11:38 am

It seems that Liberal, and even so called Conservatives, the Hollywood crowd (including Polanski, Nicholson, Warren Beatty, Jane Fonda, and their fellow travelers), and Rock and Roll singers (including Madonna, John Mellencamp, Steve Tyler and their crowd) have one set of rules for themselves and another for the rest of us. Even our other Michigan Hard Rockers, besides Nugent, who I don’t need to name, have a different morality, despite claiming to be Conservative and even Christian. Both Male and Female Rockers have an abysmal record of past relationships.

But as Mark Scott would say now, we have to “hold our nose” and support and vote for the presumed Republican candidate, because no third party can win, and he is at least incrementally better than the incumbent. Not a resounding endorsement, but a pragmatic one.

STG: I knew and was friends with the late Mark Scott. And he would never–nor did he ever–say such a thing. In fact, he regularly supported and voted for third party candidates that I would never support because he was correctly sickened by BS choices like Romney that the GOP regularly serves up b/c of attitudes like yours. Regardless, we don’t “have to” do anything. It’s a free country. And I’m not so sure Romney will be even an iota different from Obama. The only difference is that he will be in his first term and might–MIGHT–be held accountable when he has to run for re-election. But he likely won’t b/c the sheep on the GOP side, like you, will keep saying crap like this, so we’ll never get anything better than just a tiny crumb better than the far-left liberal. That was clearly the standard that chose Romney. Thanks but no thanks. DS

Stop The Game on April 18, 2012 at 11:43 am

At least he doesn’t eat dog meat.

J: I wouldn’t be so sure about that. He has bragged that he’s hunted and eaten just about every animal. DS

John on April 18, 2012 at 11:58 am

You are probably right again about the dog meat comment. It was meant to be tongue in cheek. According to some headlines this morning. We know Obama has eatan dog meat. Have a great day!!

John on April 18, 2012 at 1:37 pm

Dear John: By “dog meat,” do you mean “meat for dogs” or “meat of a dog?”

Miranda Rose Smith on April 19, 2012 at 3:31 am

Ted Nugent loves to pick up his gun and shoot. He’s just a little nervous about the idea of aiming it at anything that is similarly armed and capable of shooting back at him. This film footage is from 45 years ago and remains the only song of his that I’m familiar with:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UN2VNFpiGWo

Irving on April 18, 2012 at 12:14 pm

I agree with every word Debbie says about Nugent, but as they say politics make strange bedfellows. We were allied with a manical Russian dictator, Stalin, who was responsible for the deaths of millions, but without him we would never have defeated Germany.

J: HUH????? You are comparing Republicans and conservatives blindly following this crook, child molester and draft dodger Ted Nugent, to America allying with Stalin to defeat the Nazis in WWII????!!!!! PUH-LEEZE. Get some perspective. . . and a clue. DS

Jerry on April 18, 2012 at 12:39 pm

Perhaps I am being presumptive in speaking for Mark Scott beyond the grave, and I apologize for that. However, I must respectively beg to differ with you in that Mark Scott did indeed say, “I held my nose and voted for Bush”, or something very close to that. And I strongly suspect that, if Romney were nominated, and I’m not saying I would not want a better candidate, Mark would favor Romney over Obama in a two man race. Both Mark Levin and even his proclaimed archenemy Michael Weiner Savage, who together give us the closest approximation to the late Mark Scott currently in syndication, have would also express similar sentiments.

STG: Wrong. Mark Scott supported and voted for the Libertarian Party candidate for President repeatedly and openly endorsed Libertarian candidates, including for the Michigan US Senate seat, on the air, even though he knew it could help re-elect the Democrat. For the record, I never voted for those people b/c I thought they were nuts and fruitcakes, including Ron Paul, whom he thought was great and for whom he voted. Regardless, I think for myself. I don’t take my marching orders from anyone, especially frauds and hypocrite hucksters like Levin and Weiner/”Savage”–neither of whom is ANYTHING like or in “close approximation” to Mark Scott. You shouldn’t either. Mark Levin said it was okay that Fred Thompson’s campaign manager supports Hezbollah and Arafat, b/c he needed him to win Michigan. If that’s the kind of hypocritical phony and complete a-hole you blindly follow (and based on your statements, it is), you really need to get some critical thinking skills, STAT! DS

Stop The Game on April 18, 2012 at 12:42 pm

Savage a fraud too? Say it ain’t so.

John on April 18, 2012 at 2:26 pm

I remember vividly Ted Nugent’s shows from the late 1970s. Yes, the monologues between songs were filthy. It was just a joke to me as a youngster. However, it is kind of silly to buy into Nugent’s proclamation today as a “family man.” As Debbie Schlussel says, his personal life has been in the low-life category. I’m sure this reinvention of Nugent is calculated to remain relevant.

While I still love Nugent’s music (say what you will, he is a great guitarist), my only hero is my father. However articulate Ted Nugent is, I don’t need a celebrity to guide me.

Gregg S. on April 18, 2012 at 1:10 pm

my only hero is my father.

Dear Mr. S.: My father, of blessed memory, was and is a hero to me. But you don’t think Dov Gruner, also of blessed memory, was a hero? What about Jonas Salk? What about the Righteous Gentiles?

Miranda Rose Smith on April 19, 2012 at 3:35 am

      Miranda,

I agree the people you listed have done heroic things. This is not to dismiss them or many others who have been heroes to many. My point is, I can only count my father as a personal hero to me.

      Gregg S. on April 19, 2012 at 5:54 pm

        Dear Mr. S.: Fine.

As a child, my HEROINE was Clara Barton.

Miranda Rose Smith on April 20, 2012 at 1:57 am

Nugent had the nerve to complain once on Howard Stern (pre-XM radio) that the Make-A-Wish Foundation supposedly wouldn’t grant a kid’s wish to visit him. Really, Nugent vs. Disney? Sounds like another ,no-brainer, I mean made-up anecdote to me!

Lee on April 18, 2012 at 1:38 pm

Ted Nugent has nothing to offer conservatives, and merely evokes grins and chuckles among those on the left. As noted by Debbie, he never led the life he now preaches. Plus, as mentioned by her, Ted Nugent is in no position to criticize Black lifestyles, since he in his life has imitated the worst aspects of them himself. Finally, making flamboyant claims about Barack Obama and the left wanting him locked up is self-important blather. Ted Nugent is nearly as good a gravy train as Pat Buchanan for leftists who wish to point out conservative cranks, who are not really conservative.

Worry01 on April 18, 2012 at 1:39 pm

    WTF is a ‘black lifestyle’?

Ghostface Wankah on April 19, 2012 at 12:32 pm

As I recall, Ted Nugent was interviewed by Mark Scott, and they didn’t differ on much.

I wish I had the transcripts of the Mark’s WXYT show.

One thing that bothered me about Mark Scott was his professed Atheism, which should have concerned observant Christians and Jewish people alike.

But may he Rest In Peace.

STG: So what? What difference does that make? Does it make all of Ted Nugent’s crap disclosed herein, none of which Mark knew about, okay??? Do you have any principles, morals, or standards? What his interviewing Ted Nugent, agreeing with him, or Mark Scott’s atheism has to do with the point of this post–that Ted Nugent is a major scumbag and fraud and not a conservative–I haven’t a clue. And I don’t think you do either. DS

For the record, I barely know who Ted Nugent is, and don’t give a tinker’s damn what he says. Never listened to any of his music, and don’t think much of his general hunting ethic. For the record I am a vocal and active supporter of Israel as defined by the borders following the 6 day war, including the Golan. I think Gaza should be vaporized. I think Obama should be given a new job appropriate for his skills and wit, like nose picking, if there is such a thing.

Debbie, FWIW, I don’t have any law degree, and never claimed to. Neither was the compass a ‘moral’ one – I was merely drawing a distinction b/w plagiarizing something that’s someone’s orgininal work, vs stating something that’s common sense that was previously stated by someone else.

If you, on this site or in a book, write that ‘having sex causes pregnancy’, would that be something that someone would have to attribute to you if s/he were to come up with the same statement, even if it was word to word identical? Or do you accept that people are capable of independently arriving at the same conclusions?

Miranda Rose Smith on April 19, 2012 at 3:47 am

All I can say is that perhaps people should read DS’ post over again. I didn’t read his book but when I first read this post I was shocked and embarrassed that someone like “The Nuge” could write such crap in his book TO black people (such chutzpah!!!) and meanwhile, as DS pointed out, his life is HARDLY conservative. I always appreciate when someone can abstain from drugs and alcohol in the Rock venue BUT when they replace it with sexual perversion that doesn’t fly with me and I won’t turn away and make it alright for a hypocrite “just” because the are so-called Conservative. Conservativism should mean something.

And I always like to point out that Halle Berry and Naomi Watts SHOULD NOT be treated better than poor, black girls in the hood who are single mums because they ALL are doing a disservice to their kids and the community at large by having kids out of wedlock.

When I was Liberal I HATED “The Nuge” with a passion because of his hunting. Since then, I have at least can acknowledge that as a hunter, I’d rather have hunters like him who hunt properly and respect the animal (nimrods are known to hurt each other and kill people when they hunt due to drinking or WHATEVER else makes ’em into stupid fools…anyone who works with animal husbandry KNOWS that being able to distinguish an animal from other THINGS is elementary so I have no idea how one can be hunting and aim a gun and not know that what they are aiming at are NOT animals!!). For me to come that far was not easy (it’s akin to reasoning with a Liberal).

BUT when I learned the mess his life was regardless of no drinking and drugs and as a young guy he may NOT have been into drugs and drink but his need for a teen girl was VERY disgusting and could not be dismissed. I think he even apologized to his (what #??) wife IN PUBLIC a few years ago for knocking some lady up. Yuck! That is NOT the Conservative cool I want to back! Ever!

No way. He and “Kid Rock” do not cut it when it comes to Conservativism. If I am gonna not be bothered by people’s sexual perversions I will go back to being a mentally disturbed Liberal (a redundancy).

Conservativism should be a proud thing to stand behind and we should judge those rightly who want us to move the goalpost so they can assuage their sexual perversions or strength and moral character they have NEVER possessed (like Bristol Palin…the world’s most untalented hypocrite who can’t stop the hypocritting!!!). I won’t do it! Give me a geeky Conservative who is not a hypocrite any day than all the faux ones we have today!

So Debbie we recognize your aversion to
non-matzoh stuffers. But when the flood
gates are opened to all asylum
seeking enemies,we will be manipulated by
the same predatory masses that
financed and won the Viet Nam
War and will be the beneficiary
of the Iraqi/Afghani debacle.
The Chinese,Arabs,Narco Billionaires,and
and Hacker Hedge-Funders who are buying up
California with our dollars and energizing
the economy will stuff that matzoh where
the sun doesn’t shine.

Yo, were you inhaling something when you posted this little mess? Do you suppose that you elict anything other than laughter when you type such incoherent gibberish?

    Worry01 on April 18, 2012 at 6:34 pm

Dear Shiksas: What have you been smoking or drinking? Why don’t you go lie down and rest and try to post again later?

Right back at @ Skunky:

As an addict (not a recovering one – there in no cure, just control), I know the ease of going from one vice to another.

As fallible animals, we need some form of gratification as an incentive to carry on living. Sadly, some people enjoy it more than others.

If Nuge had any sense of contrition, we would’ve apologized for not doing the patriotic duty – he could’ve chosen Navy or Air Force, and all would be next to good.

But all you need to do is look at the cover of the Amboy Dukes’ “Journey to the Center of the Mind” (http://www.freecodesource.com/album-cover/51V46wYCWGL/Amboy-Dukes-(Ft-Ted-Nugent)-Journey-to-the-Center-of-the-Mind.jpg) and you’d probably figure out where Nuge’s head was at.

One more thing – addicts would almost never tell you that they (ab-)use, nor would they tell you if they’re still using long after they claim sobriety. We’re masters of lying when it comes to our vices.

And of course, anyone can claim to be a Conservative just be saying that the Liberals suck. There are addicts who are complete attention-seeking whores just because it’s another source of immediate gratification. You could be a full-blown commune potato but if you join the NRA and say the right things to the right people at the right time, you could reap the benefits of instant admiration.

True believers don’t talk or prostitute their views, nor do they make a spectacle of their beliefs. They just do.

Sorry for the hot air. Enjoy the warmth.

True believers don’t talk or prostitute their views, nor do they make a spectacle of their beliefs. They just do.

Most of the time, that’s true.

I agree with you that there’s no cure for addiction, only control. I battled overeating for years. I’m thin now, thank
G-d, but the old temptations always flicker on the horizon. As for switching from one vice to the other, I could never have gotten my weight down, much less kept it down, without caffeine.

I don’t care what Ted is or what he did. His and every American has a right to free political speech, including rhetoric. If the Secret Service is not aware of that fact, they have much bigger problems than chasing kitty in Colombia. As to the Second Amendment issue and the Supreme Court, I agree with him completely. If Obama is re-elected there is a very high probability that the balance of the Supreme Court will change and the Second Amendment will be the first to go. The United States is the ONLY country in world where ordinary, law abiding citizens have to right to keep and bear firearms. In fact, the vast majority of states have SHALL ISSUE concealed carry permits. 50 years of progress on this issue will disappear in an instant, if Obama gets to appoint a Supreme Court Justice. He will also fill the federal courts with gun hating liberals. If for no other reason, people should do exactly as Nugent said and get hundreds of people to vote for whoever runs against Obama on the GOP ticket. I’m old enough to remember 1976, when Georgia was the FIRST state to pass shall issue concealed carry for ordinary citizens, after Second Amendment rights had been suspended as a result of the Civil War. We have an inalienable right to keep and bear firearms for self defense. But that right will most certainly disappear if Obama is re-elected. Voters, you have been warned.

    Well said!

Margie on April 18, 2012 at 11:54 pm

This is what happens when a culture jettisons Biblical law (the basic moral code in the Ten Commandments). There is no longer a standard for right and wrong– merely emotions. In this sense many who call themselves conservatives are no better than the leftists; hence the reason we get the same results when either type is elected to political office.

Russ on April 18, 2012 at 9:15 pm

Some of the responses to your Ted Nugent posting were quite revealing. If you have a talent in some area, you are excused from the morals and ethics of the common herd. These views are held by Roman Polanski and Jerry Sandusky, and have been used by their supporters to somehow justify their actions. Ted Nugent, as you have noted many times, has done many awful things in his life. His being a performer does not erase this past. People who set aside the atrocious acts of individuals because they like their music, movies, or coaching really do have to explain why how their mindset differs from that of their tainted idols? Do these people rationalize their own behavior in the same way?

Worry01 on April 18, 2012 at 9:43 pm

You forgot one other area where all is forgiven. If one’s political beliefs jibe with someone without a moral center, there will be many who lack critical thinking skills and who will embrace the delusional and irrational behavior of a pariah like Ted Nugent.

RichieD on April 19, 2012 at 11:26 pm

Other than “Cat Scratch Fever” I can’t think of the name of any other song he did.

CornCoLeo on April 18, 2012 at 9:48 pm

Can someone please tell me WHAT we as a nation GAINED in the Vietnam war?

Did Vietnam attack the US like Japan did?

What DID those 50,000+ Americans die for?

Just like those who insulted and criticised Bruce Ismay for getting into one of Titanic’s lifeboats … who the hell are YOU to insult someone in such a situation?

What makes you think YOU would be any different. I don’t blame Nugent *ONE IOTA* for “draft dodging” that criminal affair that President Eisenhower warned the nation about.

Now go ahead … what did the nation GAIN by sending so many over there to kill, be maimed, and DIE in the jungles of Vietnam??????

Bill Zimmerly on April 18, 2012 at 10:41 pm

Billy, Ted now claims to be a patriot. When he had a chance to do his actually duty, he avoided it. It Nugent had not tried to hypocritically wrap himself in the flag and utter the most bellicose stuff, no one would bother with him. As for Debbie’s right to criticize the man, she has just as much right to do what she does as you have to make inane statements. As for your Titanic statement, do you really want an answer on that? Have you screwed over people who never did you any harm? Should you be praised for that? Did you think it was cool to shoplift because no one caught you? Billy, you reveal more about yourself in what you say than anything having to do with Ted Nugent.

He hates Obama, and thatz a plus in my book. The rest, not so much, except for Little Miss Dangerous….and Fred Bear

Steve Epps on April 18, 2012 at 10:42 pm

Didn’t Steven Tyler do the same thing, get legal custody of a minor? These guys have to look up to see a snake in the grass.

Jo on April 18, 2012 at 10:56 pm

@CornCoLeo–as a member of Damn Yankees, “High Enough” became a #3 hit.

That POS admitted on the VH1 documentary series ‘Behind The Music’ that he didn’t have an addiction to “anything, but young girls”. What a saint!
