Time to Buy Adidas: Fatass Saudi Prince Boycotts Jerusalem Marathon Sponsors

By Debbie Schlussel

I’ve always loved the three stripes and other insignia of Adidas athletic gear.  Now, there’s another reason to buy it.  Adidas sponsored Israel’s Jerusalem Marathon and now finds itself as the subject of yet another Arab boycott of Israel, this time by a calorically-gifted Saudi prince and the Arab sports council he heads.

Adidas Boycotter/Israel Hater, Prince Nawaf Bin Faisal Many Pounds Ago w/ his Man Crush

JEDDAH, Saudi Arabia — Arab youth and sports ministers on Wednesday announced their boycott of sports apparel manufacturer Adidas over the company’s sponsorship of last month’s Jerusalem marathon.

“All companies that have sponsored the marathon of Jerusalem, including Adidas, will be boycotted,” said Saudi Prince Nawaf bin Faisal, chairman of the Arab youth and sports council of ministers, after a meeting in Jeddah.

Prince Nawaf told a press conference the ministers also agreed to organise a separate marathon next year to coincide with the annual Jerusalem event.

Entitled “Jerusalem is Ours”, that event will take place in cities throughout the Arab world next March.

Yeah, watch how many people pick their stupid marathon through “Chop-Chop Square” in Riyadh over beautiful, Jewish Jerusalem. Good luck, al-chumps. The “Jerusalem Is Ours Marathon” doesn’t exactly have a great ring to it. Better to call it something like, “Our Four Wives Are Ours Marathon.” Or “Avoid Our IEDs Marathon.” Or “Escape Our Honor Killers and Beheaders Marathon.”

“Israel is trying to misguide public opinion into believing that Jerusalem is its capital . . . .” added Nawaf.

Around 15,000 runners participated in the March 16 International Jerusalem Marathon, which sparked controversy because part of the route passed through Arab east Jerusalem.

Oh, no! The JOOOOOS actually passed through part of the city that King David built. How dare they. Um, his name wasn’t “Al-Melek Dawud.” And he didn’t worship allah.

From the linked article:

“‘Israel is trying to misguide public opinion into believing that Jerusalem is its capital . . . .’ added Nawaf.”

In other news, Israel is also trying to misguide public opinion in believing that two plus two is equal to four and only to four.

JeffE on April 5, 2012 at 6:51 pm

    …meaning according to Nawaf.

JeffE on April 5, 2012 at 6:52 pm

Jerusalem has always been the capital of every Jewish kingdom and state throughout history. Jerusalem is mentioned over 800 times in the Hebrew Bible and in Jewish songs, prayers and toasts.

Like the toast Jews will make at the conclusion of the Passover Seder tomorrow night: “Next Year In Jerusalem!”

I don’t give a f*ck what a fat Saudi Prince says. Its none of his damned business! The Arabs want to mislead the world and the truth has always been that Jerusalem is the most Jewish city on earth and will remain so to the end of time.

      Exactly, NormanF. Amen!

just confirmed with the calculator it is still 4…

Indeed it is, KIRCHE. That was my point.

JeffE on April 8, 2012 at 9:40 pm

Dear JeffE aka “Mooslemoron” An interesting historical fact is that Israel had an agreement with King Hussein of Jordan in which Jordan would not attack and in return Jerusalem would remain divided no Jews permitted to go their holy sites including the wall of the temple.
Nasser aka “kill all the Jews, drive them into the sea self appointed Napoleon of all Arabs” told the king when Jordan radar picked up jets leaving Egypt for Israel that these were Egyptian jets on their way to Tel Aviv. Jordan immediately launched missles and mortor attacks sending troops into the Jewish quarter of Jerusalem defended initially by only 70 garrisoned IDF. What the King Hussein did not know was that those jets coming from Egypt were Israeli French Mirages that had just decimated the Egyptian Airforce before it could leave the ground. Thus was Jerusalem liberated from Arab treachery and hatred for Jews and Moslems alike under the flag of Israel. Moron.

      Dear Ron Wolf aka “Columbo”,

      Re:

      “Dear JeffE aka ‘Mooslemoron…’”

Only by those who can’t comprehend what my point was in my post published on April 5, 2012 at 6:51 pm–the only person being the one who is your mirror. Since you couldn’t comprehend my post, let me explain to you what I meant. What I meant was that anyone who says that anyone who denies that Jerusalem is the capital of Israel such as Nawaf would also deny that two plus two is equal to four and only to four. Meaning, that of course two plus two is equal to four and only to four, and just that that is so, so too is Jerusalem the capital of Israel. Now do you understand my point? If not, then next time I will time more s l o w l y.

JeffE on April 8, 2012 at 9:54 pm

I made a little error. It should read:

“What I meant was that anyone who denies that Jerusalem is the capital of Israel..”

JeffE on April 8, 2012 at 10:13 pm

The word in my final sentence should read “type”, not “time”.

JeffE on April 8, 2012 at 11:04 pm

It looks like that the next pair of shoes that I buy will indeed be Adidas.

JeffE on April 5, 2012 at 6:55 pm

I have boycotted those crappy shoes for years.

John on April 5, 2012 at 7:13 pm

Meant to finish my thought, but only because they hurt my gigantic feet. Sorry.

John on April 5, 2012 at 7:16 pm

According to Wikipedia, the two brothers who started Adidas were members of the Nazi party.

Michael on April 5, 2012 at 7:52 pm

That was then. This is today. Jews should reward their friends and punish their enemies.

It doesn’t make sense to boycott a German company for supporting sports events in Israel.

Personally, I consider the Arab boycott of Adidas a badge of honor and we should support them for sponsoring events in Israel.

Israel’s friends are my friends and Israel’s enemies are my enemies.

The Jew-hating Arabs can take their crappy boycott of Israel and shove it!

NormanF on April 5, 2012 at 8:49 pm

We just bought the grandkids two pairs a piece! Plus some soccer shorts andshirts… NOW that was the best $250 I ever spent.

Alabama Pride on April 5, 2012 at 8:12 pm

Adidas and Puma are related German sports companies that once used to be known for their Nazi connections.

The time have changed. Now they sponsor events like the Jerusalem Marathon. For that the Arabs hate them.

Adidas is one Germany company Jews should patronize because yesterday’s enemies are today’s friends and the new enemy is Islam, which hates any business that supports the Jewish State.

By buying Adidas products, you’re helping Israel and sending Israel’s enemies a message. Adidas is worthy of your patronage!

Cool Passover video from the IDF:

This is always a heartfelt tribute to the holiday! Ahavat Israel!

NormanF on April 5, 2012 at 9:07 pm

Debbie better we should all send cash or weapons directly to IDF, but if I need soccer shoes I’ll keep AdidaSS in mind. Also Debbie I realize we arent currently dating, but I’ve taken the liberty of picking baby names so we’re prepared when the time comes, B’H. For a boy I prefer the name Herschel. For a girl I like Cathleen, Margaret, Tiffany, Jasmine or Chaya Mushka. Agreed?

A1 on April 5, 2012 at 9:40 pm

I commend Adidas for its action. Also, I rather doubt that anyone other than the elites in Muslim countries are big consumers of Adidas products. Let Prince Butterball Turkey feel useful,

Worry on April 5, 2012 at 9:56 pm

Deb:

Only 1 in 6 men in Saudi Arabia are employed in something resembling a job. As far as Saudis are concerned, they boycott EVERYTHING.

They don’t make anything in Saudi Arabia. Even the oil they extract is work performed by foreigners. A friend of mine went there in January. He has a BIG cross tattooed on the inside of his forearm. I finally caught up with him (He travels a lot) and asked him how that went over in Saudi Arabia. He said everyone he worked with thought it was really cool.

I said: “What???? You mean the Saudis didn’t have a problem?”

He replied: “Oh! The Saudis! I didn’t see any Saudis. All the work is done by Indians. They thought the tatoo was cool. I never saw a Saudi on the job site the whole time I was there.”

Since Saudis don’t work, they can’t buy much. There are only a few thousand royal family members. How many pair of athletic shoes can that amount to? The threat of a boycott is not to be taken seriously.

Few in Saudi Arabia REALLY boycott Israel. Most of it is just hot air. If the Saudis want or need something and it has to come from Israel, they just get it. They might remove the “Made in Israel” label, but they get whatever they want; early and often.

The amount of trade that occurs between Israel and the Gulf States would astound you. That’s the good news. The bad news is that some of it is not “kosher” in that it compromises Israeli patents, security etc.

Occam's Tool on April 5, 2012 at 11:15 pm

The other reason to buy Adidas is that it’s an acronym for ‘All Day I Dream About Sex’. 😀 But seriously, good for them – that’ll be my next pair of shoes, even though I normally don’t go for name brands.

So.. When was Israel founded? How was it founded ? Oh I forgot.. 1948… Through killings and bombings.. Even of the English army… Talking about betrayal and terrorism!

Americans are so naive… In high school, they are taught american history… To keep them blind

Tone on April 6, 2012 at 6:00 am

    Tone:

What does that have to do with athletic shoes?

Israel exists! Get used to it!

There is NO Santa Claus on April 6, 2012 at 8:38 am

wrong, tone. God Himself defined the borders of israel as the ‘royal land grant’ to abraham. the jews took back what was rightfully theirs, now modern-day israel. post WW2 had the brits carve up what was rightfully the jews who are now left with a tiny fraction of their birthright. there’s a map at this link that shows the true borders of israel, jew-hater:

Right is always Wrong on April 6, 2012 at 3:06 pm

Whining again eh, “Right is always Wrong”? But yet you don’t even try to say what it is that DS has gotten wrong, let alone try to rebut and let alone still further refute her. Posts like this only confirm the obvious, which is, that right is always right–especially DS–and you are always wrong. And –your posts notwithstanding–you know that DS is always right and speaks/writes the truth–otherwise you wouldn’t keep reading her posts.

Addidas shoes were not not mean’t to be used for stepping around camel and donkey dung anyway. What the Saudis really need are known in the shoe biz as “shitkickers”.
The real reason Obama lowered his head to the Saudi King was that he missed the smell of home. Phew!

What a biased opinion from a biased person at least report the facts and put your (worthless) opinion in another article.
