Bad News: Hillary Appoints Clinton “Horseman of the Apocalypse” As Foreign Policy Advisor

By Debbie Schlussel
Conservative writer and former longtime Commentary Magazine Editor-in-Chief Norman Podhoretz once called Dennis Ross one of the “Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse” of the Bill Clinton anti-Israel foreign policy.
Ross–along with fellow pro-Arafat Clintonista Court Jews Aaron David Miller, Carl Haas, and Daniel Kurtzer (most of whom went on to advise Bush, too)–developed Clinton’s pro-Arafat stance, in which Israel was pressured to give up more and more land for pieces of paper. This included the failed Oslo Accord and Binyamin Netanyahu nearly giving up the entire so-called West Bank and all of Gaza to Arafat under a proposed Wye Accord (Arafat rejected it).
Now Dennis “Screw Israel” Ross is back at it, since Hillary Clinton just appointed him as special advisor on the Gulf, Iran, and Southwest Asia (the largely Islamic portions of Asia).
This is troubling on three fronts:

Al’hamdillullah [Praise Allah], SecState Hillary Appoints Arafat Pal Dennis Ross as Top Advisor

1) It gives Ross an in on the Obama “Screw Israel” Clinton Reunion–we’ve already seen that disaster the first time he helped foment it under Bill Clinton’s foreign policy;
2) It gives Ross an opportunity to advise Hillary on behalf of the anti-Israel Gulf states–including Saudi Arabia, Al Jazeera’s Qatar, and the Judenrein Tennis nations of the United Arab Emirates–AhMADMANejad’s Iran, and the anti-Israel extremists of Pakistan, Bangladesh, etc.; and
3) Dennis Ross reportedly received lucrative speaking fees from Gulf states post-Bill Clinton and while on speaking tours for his numerous “Let’s Pressure Israel” books.
The worst of Bill Clinton’s Middle East policy is now Hillary Clinton/Obama’s Middle East policy.
Horseman of Israel’s Apocalypse #1 has returned. How long until it’s a complete reunion?

You know we cannot say that we were not warned about this. Even more disturbing is the return of the moronic Samantha Power.

Re: Aaron David Miller
Now it makes sense. When Obama won this dude was
all over CNN saying that US foreign policy would
now be “more thoughtful”.
That was a dead giveaway.

Hillary’s husband apparently wants in on the fun. From JihadWatch:
Bill Clinton: “The Israelis have to decide whether they want to share the future in a positive way with a constructive Palestinian state”

The problem with the “Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse” is that none of them ever consider the role Islam plays in the hostility toward Israel. They all come from the “two peoples fighting over a tiny piece of land” school of thought, when the war against Israel is a jihad.
Even Podhoretz and his allies–while their ideas are far better than the “horsemen” when it comes to protecting Israel–could benefit from coming to grips with Islam.
The problem isn’t simply Arafat, Abbas or Hamas. The Palestinians don’t want to kill Jews because of a lack of economic opportunity, freedom and democracy (conservative analysis) or checkpoints, settlements, refugees and occupation (“horsemen” and Obama analysis).
The Palestinians are committed to jihad, following the example of their prophet and the values spelled out in their “holy” texts. Combine the hostility toward infidels (with Jews at the top of that list) inculcated by Islam with a violent tribal culture and anti-Semitic incitement in the mosques, schools and media, and you have a situation that can’t be solved by “peace agreements” and “negotiated settlements.”
The Arabs won’t follow the terms of any treaty they sign. Israel must retain military superiority over its neighbors. There is no solution. But what would the horsemen do with their lives if they ever came to understand this simple truth?

What has happened to this country? I have had just about as much as I can stand, how can we get people to understand?

@sharon61:
“We” can’t!!!
We’ve become a nation of clueless twits & morons.Israel is really on its own & should do whatever is necessary to insure its own survival.
Sadly,far to many Israeli’s today believe they can achieve peace through land giveaways.It really appears they have learned NOTHING from history.

4 infidels’s comment, above, is absolutely correct. The remark that the Arabs (i.e. Muslims) won’t follow the terms of any treaty they sign with Israel is especially salient, as Muslims base any treaty they sign with non-Muslims on the Treaty of al-Hudaybiyya. This was a peace treaty between the Muslims and pagan Arabs, stipulated to last for ten years. After less than two years, Muhammed broke the treaty, using the resultant lull in active hostilities to build up his military strength. When he felt he was ready to overpower his adversaries, he came up with a pretext to violate the treaty and conquered Mecca. From there, he proceeded to conquer most of Arabia. Muslims, who view Muhammed’s behavior as worthy of emulation, use this treaty as a model for agreements with infidels. Think of all the cease-fires that were agreed to by Hamas, by Fatah, etc. vis-a-vis Israel, and how all of them were violated almost immediately by the Muslim side, and how such cease-fires are agreed to by the latter only when they view themselves to be at a disadvantage militarily, politically, or strategically. Arafat himself referred to the Treaty of al-Hudaybiyya when he addressed a group of Muslims in a speech delivered in Arabic, which was not carried by Western news services. He attempted to allay fears that he was capitulating to international pressure to give up his claims to all of Palestine. He cited al-Hudaybiyya to show that he, like Muhammed, was merely buying time until Muslims were sufficiently strong (and Israel sufficiently weakened by trading land for putative peace) to take over all of historical Palestine. Those in attendance, knowing full well what the reference to al-Hudaybiyya signified, were jubilant.
Ross, Mitchell, and all the idiotic, know-nothing Middle East envoys, past and present, who have spent countless hours over the past sixty years attempting to ignore the two thousand pound mastodon in the room – namely Islam, and what it propounds – will always be doomed to failure. It’s that simple.
