Time for Top Jewish Republican to GOOOOOO

By Debbie Schlussel
It’s bad enough that with the most anti-Israel candidate for President ever (with plenty of anti-Semitic minions and associates), 77-78% of Jewish-Americans voted for Barack Obama. It’s even worse to note that, in fact, the Jewish vote for John McCain could have been significantly higher, had Jewish Republicans actually mounted a modicum of a decent campaign against Obama. Whose fault is it that they didn’t? Well, the top Jewish Republican in America, that’s who.
In the past, I’ve exposed Matt Brooks, the troublesome dictator of the Republican Jewish Coalition for what he is:
* a man who regularly promotes anti-Semites, enemies of Israel and America, and open supporters of Islamic terrorism as RJC speakers and Republican candidates;

mattbrooks2.jpg

Matt Brooks: Top Jewish Republican Livin’ It Up

* a man who pays himself an exorbitant salary of about $500,000 per year, twice what the NRA’s Wayne LaPierre pays himself;
* an all-around–and very round–creep and do-nothing slacker
.
Well, I was wrong. Our friend, Joe Gelman of Neocon Express, is very familiar with the ways of Matt Brooks, as he’s also experienced Matt’s predilection for Islamic terrorism supporters over pro-Israel Republicans. And Joe’s investigation has uncovered that Matt Brooks not only loves supporters of Islamic terrorism, but that he pays himself over $700,000 (not the older $500,000 figure I uncovered)–almost three times what the NRA’s Wayne LaPierre and AIPAC’s Howard Kohr pay themselves (and almost six times what Ira Forman of the National Jewish Democratic Council is paid). This is money people donated to get more Jews to vote Republican, not to make Matt Brooks’ bank account as fat as his physique.
And wait, there’s more. Joe has discovered that Matt sees himself more as a pro poker player than a Jewish Republican . . . on the Jewish Republicans’ dime.
Joe brought these interesting facts to the attention of a certain prominent Jewish Republican Congressman. You gotta read Joe’s very interesting, hilarious, entertaining post keepin’ it real about Matt Brooks. Regardless of your religion, it’s a fun read.
Brooks has got to go. Years past due. And now, I think because of Joe’s excellent work, Matt Brooks’ Bar Mitzvah years as RJC chief are about to end.
Shalom, Matt. No More Knishes For You.

I agree completely with your comments about Brooks. I would just add that I think other Jewish Republicans do have some responsibility for the fiasco in November. Some of the publications that Jewish Republicans are associated with praised McCain virtually uncritically, and heaped scorn on those Republicans who disagreed with McCain on various positions, such as illegal immigration. Arguments about why such individuals should vote for McCain in spite of these deficiencies, while showing respect for them (neither of which was done) might have gotten more votes. It might have necessitated going after Obama on issues where he and McCain had little difference.

See ya, Mr Brooks,……

While we are at it, why limit our critiques to Jewish REPUBLICANS? When are we going to ask the DEMOCRAT Feinsteins, Schumers, and Boxers to stand up to President Obama’s “Islam Ingratiation Tour?”

So my love, ever thought that maybe YOU are the self-hating Jew???
Daniel Carver looks like Dennis Kucinich next to you!!!

I give this blog “Neocon Express” credit for not being ashamed to call itself “neoconservative”
when neoconservatives are the ones who “promote a corporate-socialist-internationalist agenda under the banner of Republican conservatism.”

It is my humble opinion that Jimmy Carter was the most anti-Semitic President ever. He’ll be a hard act to follow, even for Barack O’Bama.
[TINSC: ACTUALLY, WHEN JIMMY CARTER RAN FOR PREZ HE RAN TO THE RIGHT OF PRESIDENT FORD ON ALMOST EVERY ISSUE, INCLUDING AND ESPECIALLY ISRAEL. THAT’S WHY A LOT OF JEWS–INCLUDING MY PARENTS–AND EVANGELICAL CHRISTIANS VOTED FOR HIM. HE SPECIFICALLY CRITICIZED PRESIDENT FORD AT DEBATES AND ON THE CAMPAIGN TRAIL FOR BEING TOO PAN-ARABIST AND TOO TOUGH ON ISRAEL. IT’S ONLY ONCE HE WAS IN OFFICE THAT HE CHANGED ON EVERY SINGLE ISSUE, INCLUDING ISRAEL. MY FATHER AND HIS FRIENDS WERE SO MAD THEY MADE THIS MISTAKE AND VOTED THIS JERK INTO 1600 PENN. AVE. THAT THEY MADE SIGNS THAT SAID, “ANYBODY BUT CARTER,” AND WORKED FOR REAGAN. THAT’S WHEN MY DAD BECAME AN OFFICIAL REPUBLICAN FOR GOOD, THOUGH HE’D BEEN A CONSERVATIVE SINCE BEING IN THE ARMY AND VOTED FOR NIXON. DS]

Debbie,
I recall seeing a few articles from the RJC (or maybe FLAME) showing all the negatives of Barack Obama leading up to the election.
And no one could drown out the MSM’s round-the-clock deification of the current president (aka the Messiah-in-Chief).
It was a lost cause Debbie. I tried HOURS convincing just my in-laws to vote McCain by linking to article-after-article showing how dangerous Obama would be. They still voted for him!
There is something about Jews where they simply cannot vote Republican. There is no logic to it. Certainly when the markets went into free-fall, that probably had the worse impact to the possiblility of Jews voting for McCain.

Debbie it is one thing to disagree with you (as I often do) but another to tolerate trolls. Get rid of the trolls, and you know who they are.

You’re right. They would have voted for Obama over Giuliani who is probably one of the most philo Semitic politicians out there. For a smart people we can be awfully dumb. As a matter of fact as a friend of mine once wrote “The so called Jewish genius is limited strictly to the research labs.”

Debbie:
Some of us saw through Jimmy Carter from the very beginning.
When it comes to “the most anti-Semitic President” in my lifetime, Carter takes the prize easily.
While President O’Bama’s “resume” has some noteworthy flaws (I thank you for pointing some of them out because the MSM wouldn’t touch them with a ten-foot-pole.) his actions in office may yet speak of a very different man. When it comes to anti-Semitism in the White House (and after), Jimmy Carter is a tough act to follow.

Since World War II you can throw in Eisenhower, Gerald Ford and George H.W. Bush as two Presidents not overly sympathetic towards Jews. Nixon was an interesting case – an anti Semite who was actually friendly (for the most part) towards Israel.
American Jews would vote for Stalin before they would vote for a Republican.

Ripper on February 3, 2009 at 11:14 am

Sometimes I wish that Jews had a slightly less reputation for academic intelligence and more of a reputation for using their fists on their tormentors. Instead of “Jews are so smart,” I wish it would be “Don’t **** with Jews, you will get seriously hurt.”

Ripper on February 3, 2009 at 11:17 am

I’ve come to loathe the Republican Party, Jewish or other, as much as the Demoncrats.
The Demoncrats just do what they do, very understandable.
The Republican Party, just unforgivable how they handed this country over to the socialists, in and out of the Republican Party.

Jeff_W on February 3, 2009 at 12:10 pm

Why isn’t the RJC doing more to help Coleman get reelected? Especially since if Coleman loses his seat, the number of Republican Jews elected to the federal government would quickly approach the null set.

The reason Obama got 78% of the Jewish vote is not simply that in most Presidential elections at least 70% of the Jewish vote goes to the Democratic candidate (and sometimes, like with Clinton and Carter, 80%….by the way, nice observation of Carter, Deb).
The reason it happened can be put in two words: Sarah Palin. All those grandmas in Florida who ignored Sarah Silverman and were going to vote for McCain were far more afraid of/turned off by Palin as anti-Jewish/Israel than they were of Obama.
If he picked Romney for VP he would’ve gotten at least 40% of the Jewish vote in my view, and if he were real daring and picked Joe Lieberman (even to the chagrin of some Republicans), he’d have been the first Republican candidate to get a majority of the Jewish vote (my guess would be it would’ve gone about 65-35).

I live in a Republican neighborhood and have spent my life among Rightwingers and because I have a goy name [father not Jewish] I hear what these Republicans say about jews and gays behind our backs…….not good. Do not fool yourselves.
