STERLING, Virginia (AP) – A senior Pentagon official apologized Friday to Washington-area Muslims for the burning of Qurans at a military base in Afghanistan.
Peter Lavoy, acting assistant secretary of defense for Asia and Pacific security affairs, said the military is investigating what occurred and that all 140,000 coalition troops in Afghanistan are being retrained in the handling of religious materials.
Lavoy apologized multiple times during a brief speech during prayer services at the ADAMS Center in Sterling, one of the largest mosques in the country.
“I come here today to apologize on behalf of the Department of Defense for the incident that took place in Afghanistan this week,” Lavoy told worshippers, saying the burnings were done “unknowingly and improperly.”

It is not really new news. I am actually surprised that Filipinos would still seek work in the Middle East after all of the horror stories that have come out about how guest or contract workers are treated there, especially if they are women. These are not occasional incident, but very chronic. The authorities in the countries mentioned often try to cover things up, especially if the perpetrator is well connected. There are many “accidents” that are actually something else.

W: Exactly why the entry is entitled, “Your Day in ….” It happens every single day. But it is never shown in the mainstream American and international media. I had to go to a Filipino newspaper to find it. DS

A1: I knew Breitfraud and he was the exact opposite of the saint he’s now being painted to be. What actually surprises me are the non-Muslims from countries like Philippines, Sri Lanka, India and other Asiatic countries who go to work in crapholes like the Arabian peninsula countries.

In no other country do they have to do things like hand over their passports to their employers, leaving themselves @ their complete mercy. On top of that, they never get any citizenship rights, and nor do their offspring – if a Catholic couple gave birth to a kid in the Emirates, you think that kid will have the same priviledges as Arab Emiratis? It’d be a snowball’s chance in Sharjah before that happens. If they do get injured or killed in an accident, in the case of Saudi Arabia, there is the issue of blood money, and there, their religion would come into play while determining how much they are owed.

If a foreign non-Muslim – say a Filipino, has brought in his wife from home, there are limits on what she’s allowed to do – she can’t work there legally, she can’t even study. Only thing they’re possibly allowed to do is shop. Morons call Israel an Apartheid state, but if you really want to see it in action w/o being called on it, the 2 most brazen examples – both Muslim – are (a)Arabian countries and (b)Malaysia. The Arabs are considered supreme and have more priviledges than anyone else, then come Western White employees who work them, and below them come the rest – the Filipinos, the Indians, the Sri Lankans and so on.

And finally there is religion. While in the West, Muslims are allowed to convert abandoned churches into mosques and try build them in the midst of ground zero, in these countries, if one wants to build a church, or any other religion’s temple, in your dreams! In fact, not only that – in countries like the #1 US ‘allies’ – Qatar and Saudi Arabia, practice of one’s own religion, if it’s not Islam, has to be strictly private! If one is doing a religious ceremony, it has to be @ home and well concealed – cannot be openly displayed. Try putting Muslims living in the West under such onerous restrictions, and watch the howls from everyone – from the likes of CAIR and ACLU right up to Jihad McCain.

If one is a Muslim from any of these countries, the situation is slightly better – only that if one is a non-practicing Muslim – a MINO – then the Saudis or others will see to it that they pray their 5 times a day, fast during Ramadan & all the rest. Of course, unless they are Arabs, they’ll still be treated as 2nd class citizens. Only one thing – such countries should be dream countries for Muslim fanatics to live & work in – they don’t have to demand Shariah – it already’s ready for them. Also, there are Pakistani Sayyids – people who claim descendancy from Mohammed – and I think the Arabs would have fun unravelling their little scam.

I really wish all non-Muslim Asians would avoid the OPEC countries like the plague, and look for work elsewhere. Muslim Asians however should all move to these countries and be a part of the Arab Spring revolts. In Bahrein, when the Thanis were busy curbing the Shia rebellion, they were happily trying to force Sunni Asians (from Bangladesh, Pakistan & other places) to demonstrate against the Shia. Maybe they can import as many Muslims from Indonesia, Bangladesh & Pakistan to join their jihad in Syria and Iraq against the Alawite & Shia rulers there, if nothing else.

For some reason, Muslims have been able to successfully convince the entire planet that they are a “non-racist” religion that fights against “oppression”. What a crock, Muslims have historically been the biggest slavers and imperialists over the last 1,300 years. Millions of black Africans, Indian Hindus, Filipinos and other non-Muslims and non-Arabs have been killed, forcibly converted or enslaved by the followers of the “Religion of Peace”.
