ABC “View” Hags Attack Orthodox Jews (Flashback: Walked Out When O’Reilly Said Muslims Did 9/11)

By Debbie Schlussel

Remember when ABC’s “The View” hags, Whoopi Goldberg and Joy Behar, walked out on Bill O’Reilly because he said Muslims perpetrated the 9/11 attacks (which is entirely correct)?  Well, no such faux-outrage or walk-out, today, on the show, when a whole segment was devoted to attacking Orthodox Jews–specifically Chassidic Jews–and their lifestyle.  It was a disgusting display and attack on Jewish traditions that you’ll never see them do against Islam.

yellowstar.jpg

SS Women’s Auxiliary Reunion

In fact, all five co-hostess hags of the show–Goldberg, Behar, Elisabeth Hasselbeck, Sherri Shepherd, and Barbara Walters (who owns the show)– joined in with a Jewish guest, Susie Essman, who left religious Judaism, showing her sympathy and agreeing with her attacks on religious Judaism as made in a new book.  They called her brave and courageous, as if she didn’t have the freedom to leave Judaism at any time, which is the case in Islam. (Think you’ll ever see them having Ayaan Hirsi Ali on the show to talk about how she left Islam and calling her brave? Dream on.)

But don’t worry, View executive producer Baba Wawa told the audience that this doesn’t represent all Jews, so, hey, that makes it sooooo much better.  My “favorite” part was when Baba Wawa said, “We still  have some time left and my producer is in my ear telling me to ask you about the Hassidic Orthodox sexual practices.”  The guest then went on to please Wawa’s prurient interests in making religious Jews look like weirdos to the world.  It was as if she had Barack Obama on the show and asked him to talk about Mitt Romney wearing church-mandated underwear, something I wouldn’t put past her.  When is a guest speaking out against the practices of Islam going to be a welcomed guest????  This show is the reason why I think America would be fine if the 19th Amendment were revoked.  I’d happily give up my vote if it would cancel out these five moron-ette bigots and the same feeble minds who watch them and drink in every word.

This isn’t the first time that “The View” has engaged in this open anti-Semitism against Orthodox and Chassidic Jews.  In fact, as I reported a few years ago, the five co-hosts of the view mocked Chassidic women and called them ugly. And please don’t raise the fact that Baba Wawa is Jewish to me. She is what I call a VaJINO – a female Jew In Name Only.

Anti-Semitism by these five dogs is constantly tolerated and practiced on this show (including the Black comedian Caryn Johnson who mocks Jews with her dumb comedy name of Whoopi Goldberg).  But dare say that Muslims actually committed 9/11–which they did–and there’s a walkout.  And Bill O’Reilly apologizes for momentarily daring to speak the truth.

As I’ve said before, the attacks on Jews–especially Orthodox Chassidic Jews–don’t just take place in Mumbai, India, or during a late-night anonymous act of vandalism on a synagogue in North Carolina. Or in Israel committed by HAMAS.

That Was Then . . .

swastika.jpgyellowstar.jpg

This Is Now . . .

yellowstar.jpg

The attacks on Jews have spread to ABC daytime talk shows, watched by millions of mindless, easily propagandized women, who are just as brainless as the five airheaded nuts who host “The View.” But Jews and Christians are hunted game for these people, Muslims sacred cows never to be spoken of in a truthful manner. Here’s what dumbass faux-conservative Elisabeth Hasselbeck said about the 9/11 attacks:

I would never say [to my daughter] Muslims killed us on 9/11. I would say terrorists killed us on 9/11.

Yup, she treats Islam with kid gloves. Jews–who never flew planes into buildings or shot up Fort Hood or tried to blow up Times Square–they are the enemy that we need to defame, in her eyes.

As George Orwell wrote in “Animal Farm.”  All of the animals in the barnyard are equal, but some are more equal than others.

And some “humans” like what passes for that on “The View,” are merely animals.

For leftists, making fun of Jews and Christians carries no penalty.

If you attack Islam, you can expect to be injured or killed.

They attack on “The View” what they perceive as safe to go after. The attacks on Judaism are disgusting.

But criticism of Islam is off-limits.

NormanF on February 14, 2012 at 3:00 pm

Really, it’s simple to explain in a few words: Intolerant Muslims are feared; tolerant Jews are not.
Without double standards the View girls would have no standards at all.

The thought of Whoppi calling ANYONE ugly boggles the mind. The woman is arguably the ugliest female in the country if not the Western Hemisphere. And Behar is not far behind. I read somewhere that Behar is a “comedian”. WTF? And if it can be believed the two of them are dumber than they are ugly. Go figure.

Ron on February 14, 2012 at 3:17 pm

Speaking of Whoopie the Ugly, Ron, one of the biggest mysteries of all time for me was why Ted Danson ever got involved with her at all. I figured he must have lost his mind or been on drugs. Just plain nuts when there were plenty of very attractive woman around him to choose from. Fortunately for him he dropped her and latched on to Mary Steenburgen.

Wally on February 15, 2012 at 12:57 pm

First Debbie I love you in the sense that you put the libtards and fake conservatives/RINO’s antics in perspective. If you had a daytime talkshow you alone could take these five morons on with half your brain tied behind your back just to make it fair(I’m borrowing Rush’s line of course but I think that it describes you too.) The Spew gals really make me want to belch everytime I hear them vomit forth from their pieholes. My wife records this show so that she can watch it in the evenings.(yuck). The way that these buffoons spout off about Jews is disgusting while they dare not say one bad word about the little barbarians of Islam who wantt to kill all of the infidels. Yes that means you too Hasseldope because MUSLIM TERRORISTS did kill us on 9-11. I hope that the Spew and the equally detestable loofa boy’s show The O’Reallly Nonfactor gets cancelled soon because they are good for nothing.

ken b on February 14, 2012 at 3:17 pm

Ken B, I am glad you brought up “loofah boy” (if you wanna piss off Buffoon O’Reilly, NEVER forget what he did to his producer Andrea Macris (sp?) and look up the filthy list of allegations on the smokinggun!).

Anyone who is still listening to that goal-post mover in 2012 is a fricken’ idiot. I used to LOVE his show but I was less informed than I am now and it was before 2004 when “LoofahGate” began. He is so transparently smooching up to ZerObama because he fears the label of Raaaaaaaaaacist. It’s nauseating! I can sniff out fakes who do that (yeah, I am talking about you, Michael Medved!) better than a dog on a hunt.

My favourite Buffoon O’Reilly thing to remember is how he warned his readers in his first THREE books not to do stupid sh** like sexually harassing one’s co-workers. He wanted his readers to stay smart and respectful…unlike his loofah-loving arse.

Skunky on February 14, 2012 at 5:37 pm

DS, the reason why those dumbass hags on the View won’t mention the way many muslim women dress is because they’ll be getting numerous death threat plots upon their lives by muslim barbarians and CAIR will be bellyaching and call them “yadda yadda Islamophobes yadda yadda”!

Debbie, as a jewish woman like yourself, I am glad you are calling these sea-hags out on their naked anti-semitism on the airwaves nationwide, and you wonder why anti-semitism has increased worldwide and ant-semitic rhetoric is being echoed!

And don’t look for the ADL to give a speech and condemn the Views sentiments about certain jewish sects in judiasm, because to me the ADL is part-in-parcel of “organized religion”, I am NO fan of organized religion.

“A nation is defined by its borders, language & culture!”

Debbie,

You are so right that nobody would stand for this type of talk if they were talking about anyone other than Jews. Certainly nobody from the liberal left wing who these women represent. I would like to know though what any of those women have ever done to warrant having a show where they can spew their venom without anyone presenting the opposite view? Wawa interviewed entertainers and the rest are mediocre entertainers themselves certainly nobody of authority in anything but their own pathetic lives.

Not only would it be a positive step to repeal the vote for women, but people who live on handouts from the gouged taxpayers should have diminished voting power. Right now, those living on handouts, whether food stamps, welfare, mortgage help, etc. constitute the majority, and have enough votes to force those productive citizens to give more and more of their incomes to these parasites who do little except have more babies.

Debbie,

Your vigilance and subsequent reporting on issues such as this is laudable and I thank you. I am relatively new to your blog but have now made it a must read along with Elder of Ziyon, Jerusalem Post, YNet, Israpundit, Commentary, IDF News, et. al..

The hate-fest as promoted by these lame excuses for women is to be deplored, not only for the blatant anti-Semitism inherent in their “expose”, but also because they could not be more wrong. Taking the “view” of a disgruntled, “former” Hasidic woman and not balancing her experiences and opinions with that of an opposing outlook as represented by millions of Hasidic women who find great fulfillment in their way of life is disingenuous at best and slanderous at worst.

I grew up with many from the Hasidic community, mostly Lubavitchers, who taught me so many things; perhaps the most important being the magnificence of life and our responsibilities to our fellow man. The joy I saw as a child on the faces of the men and women, boys and girls was a sight to behold and filled my soul with a sense of purpose and self. To abuse and slander this community is equivalent to an act of thuggery and illustrative of the upside down world we currently occupy, as Melanie Phillips so aptly coined. As Muslims (and many leftists) in America and throughout the world glorify murderers, rapists, drug pushers, and misogynists, these “useful” idiots promote anti-Semitism all the while enabling and supporting the inhumane and beastly subjugators of all that is good in the world. It is proof positive that liberals believe everyone is entitled to human rights and dignity, except Jews. The fact that it is now “mainstream” must be of great concern for all us who actually know right from wrong. It is incumbent upon all of us to speak out against such obfuscations and communal assassinations with a zero tolerance policy. For if we don’t speak out, who will?

David S. on February 14, 2012 at 4:38 pm

These dumb pigs. I hate them all, but especially Wawa. She is an odious, dried up, rancid piece of warthog turd. Just despicable!

It’s NOT cute to me when idiots make a big deal about the Mormon underwear or the Orthodox sexual practices. Utterly puerile and I am so sick of it. I roll my eyes in seconds flat when those two PRIVATE things are brought up. But it makes morons titter, titter. Grow up,for crying out loud!

Those 5 pigs are part of the problem. If you’re not promoting the dangers of Islam today, YOU ARE PART OF THE PROBLEM.

As DS said, Christians and Jews are under fire and Mooooooslims are given a free pass. It makes me sick.

Could be Satmar is fair game because it’s anti-Zionist.

A: While I was going to note that this girl was from the Satmar Chassidim, it’s irrelevant to point that out in connection with “The View,” b/c they did not note this. They did not even say which group she was from, just that she was an Orthodox Jew and they also mentioned that she was Chassidic. This was an anti-Semitic attack, period. DS

Thank you for calling out the hags on “The View”, Debbie. Just after you compared what the hags did in promoting with having this guest who bragged that she she left religious Judiasm on the one hand with when Whoopi Goldberg and Joy Behar walked out on Bill O’Reilly after he correctly said that Muslims perpetuated the 9/11 attacks over a year ago made me angry. Fortunately, most of what I wanted to say has already been said here not only by you, but also by the other readers here on this thread. The only thing left for me to say is that I have never watched the show. One reason is because I work most days. But even when I take a day off from work during the week and therefore I could watch it, I still have not watched it, and I never will. (Video clips provided on this and other websites don’t count.)

JeffE on February 14, 2012 at 9:08 pm

I’m pretty conservative politically. I don’t watch The View although I have heard it get soundly criticized by many conservative talk show hosts that I DO listen to. However, I can’t see what you find offensive in this interview.

Deborah Feldman was simply telling the truth (and I KNOW it is the truth because, for many years, I was married to a woman who came from a Chasidic family). Will anti-semites use this material as fodder to malign the Jews? Of course they will.

But, if that bothers you, then blame the anti-semites themselves and blame the chasidic community that engages in these practices. Don’t blame the mainstream media for actually telling the truth for a change. I wish they would do so more often.

David on February 14, 2012 at 10:15 pm

David, what did you not get about

    A) Bill O’Reilly told the truth about Moooooslims on the view and 2 hags walked off in a huff. Exited stage left.

    B) When guest maligned Orthodox Jews, not one of the 5 hags left or even protested. They called her brave and courageous.

How did you miss that double-standard? It stinks worse than the flatulence Whoopie lets loose on the stage.

Skunky on February 14, 2012 at 10:43 pm

David,

Skunky is exactly correct about the double-standard. Debbie cited other examples, including her pointing out the unfairness of hags of “The View” “treat[ing] Islam with kid gloves[, while] Jews–who never flew planes into buildings or shot up Fort Hood or tried to blow up Times Square–they are the enemy that we need to defame, in [their] eyes.”

JeffE on February 14, 2012 at 10:55 pm

    Skunky is indeed exactly correct.

Personally I don’t think much of organized Jewish religion and didn’t have the best experiences growing up myself as a first born Jewish man with a younger sister.

Having said that I would never go on any of these shows or lie or exaggerate.

The reality is even though Rabbinic Judaism is very feminist oriented (more so then any other religion sad to say and it is one of the reasons we are so focused wanted others to love us rather then take care of our own) due to the fact male Rabbis are afraid of men that ask questions and they have to undermine fathers and men.

Having said that most feminist hate Jews because the bible gives many ideas that deeply offend their ideas.

Including that the bible only wanted to count men over 20 who were going to serve in the legion to protect their own camp from enemies. The only way to make feminist happy is to get rid of the stupid bible which of course the Jews are the first target in that fight.

I wondered why you pounded Elizabeth Hasselbeck. I had read that she was a conservative. Apparently, the attacks on her are for TY reality and not based on real differences. I knew you had a reason for not liking her.

A real conservative, including a real conservative Bible believing Christian, would have understood and explained Orthodoxy.

Thanks for watching and writing about this. I don’t have a TV. The few times I have seen a few minutes of the show I thought is superficial at best, and, mostly vacuous opinion by people who know little.

good work…again.

bobguzzardi on February 15, 2012 at 9:50 am

Skunky, Believe me it was no problem bringing up that bozo O’Reilly and what he and his show on Fox have become. I used to like the Factor especially the Denise Miller segements but ever since he gave that suck up interview to Odummer he’s just become another Obama butt sniffer like Brian Williams and Chris Matthews. About the “ladies” on the View. They also make me sick. Especially Baba Wawa and that fake conservative Lizzy Hasseldope. When that book came out about Mimi Alford being JFK’s teenaged lover old Babs had a fit. She tried to insinuate in an interview with Alford that she was only doing it for the money. I guess old Baba forgot that she wrote her own book about her affair with a married black man. Freaking hypocritical hag. And some of Elizabeth Hasslebeck’s statements over the years on that show made me wonder about her sanity. She reminds me of another blockhead “conservative” Sean Hannity. We know that Whoopie Goldberg, aka Karen Johnson, Sherri Shepherd, and Joy Behar are just too stupid to comment on. So I won’t bother. Please let their show along with O’Really’s and Vannity’s shows die a quick death. BTW Skunky nice avatar.

ken b on February 15, 2012 at 11:31 am

Debbie you are partially correct. However, in NY the Hasidim act no better than other cults. In a religious town they allow a grand Rabbi to control the population. If you do not obey his rules than you open yourself up to attack both verbally and physically.

I have no problem with their practices except when it interferes with the community at large. They get special preferences and are allowed to live above the law. The District Attorney’s cower to them. The local towns cower to them and allow them to build illegally and then magically make it legal.

In NY and around the country they don’t just want equal rights, they want special rights. They make many of us reform Jews look bad in what they get away with. Which includes a very disturbing one involving circumcision and an unclean way of preforming one.

In NY they have been under scrutiny for forcing women to walk on one side of the road. Of throwing stones and vandalising outsiders who move into their areas, but have no problem with moving into non Hasidic areas.

What I am trying to say is there is lots of good in this community, but also lots of very bad. The general public is upset with them because they want all the benefits of America and none of the burdens.

Glen Benjamin on February 15, 2012 at 11:50 am

Orthodox Judiasm is a discipline, so is Islam that only comes in “fanatic” varieties. The major differences bieing that Judiasm is loathe to commit violence while Islam on the other hand is notorious for extreme intolerance towards Jews, and any “kuffar”, and revels in it as commanded by “Mohammed”
While there is a considerable history of wars with the Cannanites, Moabites, etc in the old testement, that was the nature of the entire mideast at that time. Jews placed their faith in the G-d of Abraham, Islam placed their faith in Mohammed who made no bones about what he thought about the Jews, or any others who refused to follow him.
Islam’s legacy of hatred will continue as long as the Quran and the bilious hatred it contains remains unchanged.
As a lapsed Jew myself I dislike respectfully the islolation orthdoxy imposes on true believers, however you cannot argue the fact that Judiasm survived and flowered under orthodoxy.
The Torah is always being studied, hopefully the Messiah will come sooner than later bringing the peace Jews long prayed for.
As for Islam may their plans for world domination go into the oblivion of the countless others who dreamed that dream.

Ron Wolf on February 15, 2012 at 12:18 pm

Diaspora communities are not as likely to be violence prone than non-Diaspora for obvious (minority) reasons, so the comparison is unfair. It should start with the Irgun and Stern Gang perhaps, since Israel is THE focus of modern Judaism.

JeffE on February 15, 2012 at 9:39 pm

Ron, I’d distinguish between modern Orthodox and Haredi Orthodox. I don’t think the moderns are particularly fanatical (even if they can be annoyingly preachy). However, even the Haredim don’t go around forcing others to convert to Judaism, which makes them much less of a problem than Muslims. This is in addition to not slaughtering people, a favorite Muslim past time. And, all Orthodox must recognize secular authority as governing, so long as they live in the Diaspora.

I just did something I have never done before. I went over to ABC’s website and watched this one segment of the show (sitting through any more segments of it would’ve been just plain masochistic). Essentially what this woman was saying is that the Chassidic sect she was a part of was pretty much like the Amish, except she had to create her own Rumspringa.

While I would not deny that what she describes in her book is accurate, there should have been a bit more effort to point out that this is the logical outcome of just about any religion when taken to it’s extreme: The complete mistrust, unacceptance and shunning of anyone who is not a part of the clan…In this case even including the non-Satmar Chassidim.

Ms. Walters made me lose all respect for former U.S. Senator Ed Brooke, when it was revealed that they were lovers while both were having affairs. It didn’t surprise me about Ms. Walters, as she’s a non-entity who’d probably would never have had a career without her dad’s influence. But, I, unfortunately, voted for Mr. Brooke, when I lived in Massachusetts. If I had the opportunity, I’d would take that vote back, as I didn’t know that Brooke had such low, low, low standards.

Neils60 on February 15, 2012 at 11:38 pm

To claim that the author Deborah Feldman is attacking Orthodox Jews is not to read the book. To claim that the segment on The View was an attack on Orthodox Judaism is to be blind, deaf and dumb. I read the book, I watched the segment and I say this to you: There was no antisemitism; stop talking rubbish. The book is memoir of what it was like for her to grow up Hassidic, Debbie, and she describes it accurately, too. I grew up Hassidic (not far from your Michigan stomping grounds), Debbie, did you?

Around the Internet and social media, one bears witness to the wailing and gnashing of teeth of semi-literate Chassidim, ironically doing further damage to their image by attempting damage control. I expect that of them, but to be honest, it really is no surprise to me how you handle this. An intelligent detractor may have argued that the Satmar community is not representative of Orthodox Jewish community, but you don’t know HOW to make an intelligent argument anymore.

And it’s not just your blog posts, it’s even something as simple as movie reviews. Throw in your gripes and grievances about the cast’s political affiliation, add a lament about curse words and nudity, sprinkle some nostalgia for Reagan and garnish with a Nazi reference. That, Debbie seems to be the recipe for your movie reviews.

Oh, and about those Nazi and Hitler references? Stop it, Debbie, they’re offensive. Not to the women of The View or the casts and directors of the movies you smear, but to me. You see, I’m Jewish, too, Debbie; I lost family to the ovens. So kindly stop appropriating Nazi symbols to prove your insipid points.

Yours,

Hey David, you missed the point of DS’ post. But it was a nice try for you in your lame attempt to make it seem like she was the dope.

If you don’t like HER movie reviews don’t read them. I don’t read Roger Ebert’s anymore so I don’t complain about him or waste my time reading him.

Where is your wizard-of-smart blog? I clicked on your link and it said something was technically wrong with your page. That’s funny because there is something technically wrong with your brain.

And Chelsea C., Please grow up. This is not a hippy commune.

The major problem is not the creatures on this show – it is the morons who watch the show and take what is said as gospel. These watching imbeciles cycle through what I call the Oprah/Dr. Phil/DR. Oz/Entertainment tonight Wheel of Misfortune. This is where they get their “News.” These people will take the day off to mourn the passing of another druggie. They consider the day Michael Jackson died as a holy day of mourning. This is the real problem in the country. As a wag wisely said, “Obama is a problem, but, the bigger problem is those who voted him into office.”

As Goethe said, “There is nothing more frightful than ignorance in action.”

I don’t quite understand something.

“The View” is guilty of hate, yet what’s the difference between that hate and the hate written here?

Guess we just all hate each other.

“Guess we just all hate each other.”

Nah. But we all should hate you.

Bravo, Debbie! The whole world, with this TV show being a prime example, is just head over heels in love with Feldman, and soaking up every word she utters. Would they have even thought to have researched her alledged story with someone from any of her former communities? Of course not. Liberal Jews hate observant Jews, and this was a chance for them to parade that fact out on national TV. Shameful.

I live near a large community of Chassidic Jews. They are shameless tax cheats. A bunch of parasitic losers. before any of you conserva-nerds start popping off, do a little research about Kiryas Joel.

I go to school with orthodox jews who all have large families and are on food stamps and medicaid while their children attend private school both at home and in Israel. The community provides school scholarships so the parents don’t have to pay— why don’t they do that for food and health care? I wish I knew how to work the system like that. I guess my role is to just be quiet, send my kids to public school and pay for the social programs that subsidize their religious convictions.
