SLAPP: Future Docs Who Signed Pro-HAMAS Petition Try to Silence Schlussel, Threaten Lawsuit

By Debbie Schlussel
There’s a legal concept known as SLAPP–Strategic Lawsuit Against Public Participation. When people who want to silence you and take away your First Amendment rights because you are using those rights to expose them, they slap you with a SLAPP.
This litigation jihad is a common practice of CAIR, the Flying Imams, and other Muslims who want to shut up their critics. And now–not for the first time–I’ve been threatened by them.
The other day, I posted the names of all of those medical students who signed a pro-HAMAS, anti-Israel statement. Now, some of those future doctors are upset when they find that my article on their petition is atop google in results for their names. But they’ve grown up in the internet age. They know better. And, frankly, if they’re not smart enough to know that when they sign a public anti-Israel petition, word gets around, then maybe they really aren’t smart enough to operate on your body or prescribe treatment for it.

lawyers.jpgislamiccrescent.jpg

If At First They Don’t Succeed, Muslims Bring in the Lawyers

Now, some of those future doctors are so upset that they’re threatening to sue me. I’m not worried. They knew what they were doing and they need to face the fact that in this country, it is subject to public scrutiny.
Take Muslim Yale Medical School student Omer Ibrahim. A foreigner who was granted U.S. citizenship, he wants to become a psychiatrist, and he’s upset that I exposed that he signed the petition. But the guy has obvious anger management issues, and his e-mails indicate that instead of becoming a psychiatrist, he should see one. Oh, and I love his F-word bedside manner. Would go over real well at any of America’s fine hospitals. To be fair, future doc Ibrahim, when pressed, says he condemns HAMAS, though we shall see if he responds to my request to condemn HAMAS’ anti-Semitic charter and its attacks on Israel.
But the petition he signed–while not mentioning HAMAS–is quite clear. It’s a lying, anti-Israel petition in “solidarity” with “the people of Gaza.” That’s HAMAS.

Hi
Ummmmm so I just saw your post on “Future Doctors Who Support Hamas,” and I would just like to point out a SMALL but crucial fact (#2 on this list). . . .
2) Here’s the FUNNIEST part. You’ll love this. In American Law, what you posted would be labelled as libel and slander. And JUST IMAGINE EVEY SINGLE person on that list will be making a salary in the 6 figure digits. MEANING with at least HALF of them suing you for this clear and utter slander against their character, you will be in so much fucking debt that your grandchildren are going to need
lawyers.
I would think about THAT before you decide to wage a war against one of this society’s most influential and powerful people. If I were you, I’d delete that post. ASAP.

Hmmm . . . what does he mean by “this society’s most influential and powerful people”? Who is that? Muslims?

I will GLADLY condemn HAMAS. Anyone would! But the fact that you clumped every single med student with Hamas, you are screwed. It doesnt matter where I am from. You are screwed. You KNOW that we did NOT sign that petition trying to support Hamas. you KNOW it.

Um, actually, I know that they were, indeed, trying to support HAMAS. Otherwise they wouldn’t have signed that lying, anti-Israel petition.

You were trying to change up the facts. All I am
saying to you right now is, you are in LEGAL trouble. It has NOTHING to do with me or what I say right now. You just slandered half of the nation’s current med students . . . . It’s your conscience you have to deal with. NOt to mention your wallet, because my friend in California (all the way across the US) saw your post on Google. All I have to say, is that you fucked up all of our medical careers, and be prepered for the backlash. You have no idea who you picked a fight with. You have NO FUCKING idea.

Reality Check: The people who signed this petition are the ones who “f-cked up” their medical careers and did to themselves whatever happens to them as a result of this. I must be “prepered [sic] for the backlash”? Hmmm . . . is that a threat to my life? Read the two sentences after that. Sure sounds like it. Again, this is a future psychiatrist? Hello . . .?

It’s a legal issue now. I am taking it there. I did not break my back to move to this country, struggle for the US citizenship, struggle…no, FIGHT to get into medical school, to be faced with this. I am sorry, but I am taking legal action. . . . Next time, you will think before you post slander like this. I swear to god, you better think before you do this again. You will be hearing from the rest of us again shortly. and I promise you.

Actually, next time, you and your friends will think twice about signing pan-terrorist petitions. But I’m glad you and your friends didn’t this time around and tipped us all off to their true extremist views.
The last e-mail I got from him says this:

I clearly don’t give a damn of whether you get sued into the ground or not. Have a miserable life.

I’ve asked Mr. Future Doc Omer Ibrahim, again, where he is originally from. I’ve also asked him whether he will specifically condemn HAMAS attacks on Israel and HAMAS’ anti-Semitic, anti-Israel charter. Will let you know if and when he responds.

That’s what great about America of the 20th and 21st century.
Muslims flood in our country with the help of the U.S. government and cleverly use our laws against us.
And with liberal judges ruling in their favor, they gradually take over our country with the help of massive immigration, extremely high birthrate and yes, soon to be allowed for them, polygamy.
Don’t be surprised to see Islamic Law (Shari’a) applied in America.
Don’t be surprised if you hear at 5 a.m. the loud sound of the “call for prayer” (Azan) coming from the minaret of a Mosque -newly built with U.S. government funds- near you.
Don’t be surprised to see more hijabs, burqas and niqabs flooding in every shopping center, mall and street in America.
Don’t be surprised to see a U.S. president swearing on the Qur’an one day.
Don’t be surprised to see the new “United Islamic Emirates of America.”

IC,
I think you’re being a couple of ‘noids there. But I wonder about your condemnation of those who would “use our laws against us.” If you would not have the law apply to all in our country, then you make mockery of the whole idea of America.
As for the response from the young man, I think that he has some growing up to do. Young people are very defensive about their reputation and their image. Time and maturity will take care of that, I hope.
Debbie, you are at fault for making false assumptions and even falser accusations. You equate any criticism of Israel with praise of Israel’s enemies. This sort of “those who are not all for us are all against us” is one of the particular tragedies of our modern times.
All of my quarrels with my country are lovers quarrels. I also admire Israel, but I weep over the suffering this attack has caused.

Well Debbie,
It looks like this uppity future doc, doesn’t understand whom he is messing with–he seems to have it in the reverse.
I am so glad you put these morons in the light to be exposed–especially when they play the threat and SLAPP game.
Let’s see now…you’ve been doing this for how many years? and besides the email threats and slandering (for which some have gone down in court)–such morons/threats have been successful in suing you how many times? Oh yeah–ZERO. Hello?
Get a clue you terrorist sympathizers!

To you and the rest of the Practitioners of the Religion of Perpetual Murder: This is America. And, as such, this is what I have to say to you;
Fuck allah,
Fuck your false pedophile prophet mohammad,
Fuck islam,
and, most of all…fuck YOU!
That said, I am now going home to walk my dog, and I am going to obey the law by picking up his shit with pages torn from the Qur’ an.
Have fun humping your carpet during Friday afternoon prayers.

Being the outspoken person that I am, I have had some experience with libel cases. (slander is spoken NOT written attacks on character) The burden of proof is on the person accusing someone of libel. This rude Muslim signed his name to a public document, and as an aspiring member of a medical profession, he is considered a public figure and the courts give great leeway to people who talk or write about public personalities such as politicians, celebrities and, yes, doctors. Debbie is no dummie and knows this or she would not have posted the names. Also, there is very little they can sue her for with respect to damages. The most they could make her do is post a retraction and probably pay for court costs. But a favorable outcome for the plaintiff is unlikely and not worth pursuing and any lawyer would tell you this. The truth hurts but needs to be told especially in these difficult times for God’s chosen people.

No, it’s projecting the future by reading the present and also based on others current experience.
Leniency, political correctness and the cowardice of liberal judges is not an excuse to “apply the law to all.”
The Muslims should not have been allowed in this country in the first place, and now that the U.S. government brought them here, they should not be treated as citizens of this nation.
Islam is incompatible with our culture. They want to take over our country and they are doing it with the help of people like you.
Islam is their only citizenship and way of life.
They know it and they are fooling others by saying that they are “American Muslims.”
Don’t let them fool you. Scratch that, they already did.

I sort of hope they do file a SLAAP suit against Debbie. Guess what might happen to them:
http://reclaimdemocracy.org/articles_2005/fine_frivolous_lawsuit.php
However, they might also file a libel suit in England. Rachel Ehrenfeld lost (Because she did not show up to defend against it) a libel suit in England even though her book was never published or sold there (as long as someone in England could gain access to what was said, as a Saudi Prince did by ordering the book from the US on Amazon, the English courts will allow the suit to proceed. In England, the burden of proof is on the author). However, laws are being passed in the US to prevent judgements like those against Rachel Ehrenfeld from being enforced in the US.

i_am_me on January 16, 2009 at 3:09 pm

IC,
So we should not have allowed Muslims into this country? You know, at one time, people used to do their best to exclude Jews from living in their country. Thank God that never happened here. And if as you have done unto others will also be done unto you.

ohboyohboy on January 16, 2009 at 3:14 pm

Libel? The truth is a complete defense to libel. Good luck with filing a SLAPP lawsuit. Debbie is not going to take down her petition just because it upset some pro-Hamasniks in this country.

I once complained online about a left-wing professor, and he threatened to sue me for “defamation.” That is what these cowardly socialists and Muslim lovers do. They think they can sue us. What they hate is freedom of speech.

Does anyone notice how Omer Ibraham sounds just like a middle school girl with the way he talks. And he is in medical school?! Standards must be EXTREMELY low at his medical school.

Islam is incompatible with the US Constitution.
One or the other has to go. Anyone with half a brain should see that ! Yes, they use our laws to
subvert our liberties. No, we should not have
allowed them to immigrate. They are told in no
uncertain terms in their “Holy” book to kill the
infidel. Last I heard, that means us !

Hawkins on January 16, 2009 at 4:45 pm

Omer Ibrahim’s comments should be forwarded to the dean of Yale’s medical school. The threatening, incontinent, and abusive nature of his comments are especially inappropriate and egregious from an individual who is studying to be a psychiatrist. Ibrahim’s out-of-control rage is not only evident from the comments themselves, but from his lapses in spelling, grammar, and usage, which suggest impulsivity and recklessness and lack of concern for professionalism and for rational discourse. Mr. Ibrahim – if you are reading this, know that I will remember you from this post, and that if our paths ever meet, or if you (due to timidity on the part of your superiors, low academic standards, or other reasons which would, despite your clear unworthiness to pursue a medical or psychiatric career), unhappily for our society, somehow manage to be accorded an M.D. and a license to practice psychiatry or medicine, I will do everything I can to make others aware of what you have said and done, as reported on this website. I will bring all of this to the attention of hospital administrators and to hospital trustees. Ultimately, I will, if I am able, notify patients of your activities as well.
You see, Mr. Ibrahim, Debbie Schlussel and many of her readers, including me, know well enough what you are and what you represent. You are a Muslim, and you are opposed to Jews (the worst of whom, according to your hate-filled and despicable Qur’an, were transformed into “detested apes”) having any dominion over their ancestral land, even though that land comprises only one one-thousandth of the surrounding lands of Araby. Among the signers of this petition are many ignorant and foolish Jews, but they, unlike you, are likely unaware of the permanence of the threat the Israelis face from Hamas, from Hezbollah, from Fatah, from Islam. You, as a Muslim, however, are likely very much aware of all of this, and of Islam’s grand strategy, not merely for Israel, but for Kashmir, all of India, all of Europe, all of China, all of the world, including the very country in which you are now residing and prospering. You would, presumably, destroy our society in favor of Shari’a and Muslim supremacy. Your being a Muslim, and a signatory to that petition which condemns an infidel sovereign state for having the audacity to defend itself from endless, brutal jihad waged against it by the implacably murderous Umma and its duly elected Gaza representative, Hamas, makes you my enemy, the enemy of America, and the enemy of civilization. You may become a psychiatrist, but you are, ineluctably, a barbarian nevertheless.

commonsense on January 16, 2009 at 6:18 pm

And we know who they bring in if the “lawyers” don’t work. Screw them. Islam is incompatible with any western civilization. It is incompatible with anything but a dark ages society.

Bob A. on January 16, 2009 at 6:36 pm

So half the future doctors of America are camel-humping illiterates who throw temper tantrums if someone calls them on the carpet about publicly condemning Israel while refusing to hold Hamas accountable for Gaza?
I think I’ll stock up on apsirin and learn how to do my own suturing.

Crusty on January 16, 2009 at 8:45 pm

Dear Omer Ibrahim;
If the emails are any evidence of the level of maturity and professionalism that is to be expected from you then your medical degree should be rescinded. And if you have not yet earned such a degree, you should be prevented from receiving one until you receive substantial psychiatric counseling. Your words and weak threats within those emails are more appropriate on the kindergarten playground however most children of kindergarten age don’t even go about spewing forth such weak threats. No, Omer Ibrahim, Debbie Schlussel has not ruined yours nor anyone else’s medical career. You are doing more damage to your career by yourself and obviously need no help to damage it further. Imagine how these emails would be taken by potential clients in whatever locale you choose to practice your rather abrasive brand of psychiatry. Did you not realize that the Internet is accessed worldwide? So your emails may follow you wherever you go and as such will provide examples of how you conduct yourself. It doesn’t bode well for you, sir. And you have only yourself to blame.

Carl on January 16, 2009 at 10:07 pm

I agree with Debbie that there is no slander or libel involved here because Debbie is basically just expressing an opinion which is her First Amendment right.

I hope he didn’t wet his burka from his tears at being exposed for the cry baby he is. So a wanna be med student is threatening a lawyer with a lawsuit, what an idiot.
What exactly is Debbie guilty of? she provided a link to a petition that he willingly signed, oh the humanity. Now when any of these guys try for a job (if they make it out of 3rd grade as this guy sounds like)and HR does a google search they will actually have something interesting to read.

WHAT IS IT WITH PEOPLE LIKE YOU? I DONT THINK ANYTHING WAS SAID ABOUT MUSLIMS BEING ALLOWED TO LIVE IN THE US. WHAT YOU DONT HAVE ENOUGH BRAINS TO FIGURE OUT IS THAT IT IS THE TERRORIST THAT WE WANT TO KEEP OUT. THE TERRORISTS ARE THE ONES THAT WANT TO COME HERE AND KILL US. THIS COUNTRY IS HEADED DOWN THE TOILET BECAUSE LIBERALS WANT TO BEND OVER BACKWARDS TO EVERYONE BUT AMERICANS. THE REAL VICTIMS ARE THOSE THAT DIED ON 9-11 AND THEIR FAMILIES. YOU WANT TO SCREAM ABOUT THE SOLDIERS THAT HAVE DIED IN IRAQ AND SCREAM ABOUT ANIMAL CRUELTY BUT YOU COULD CARE LESS ABOUT THE 7 MILLION HUMAN BABIES THATS BEEN ABORTED SINCE THE BEGINNING OF THE IRAQ WAR. CNN POSTED AN ARTICLE ABOUT ONE OF THE JENA SIX THAT ALMOST KILLED ANOTHER BOY AND HOW THIS JENA SIX MEMBER WAS SO MUCH UNDER PRESSURE WITH SCHOOL AND TRYING TO GET A COLLEGE BALL SCHOLARSHIP THAT HE JUST COULD NOT TAKE AND WENT OUT AND LIFTED 500 DOLLARS WORTH OF CLOTHS FROM A DILLARDS, THEN BOUGHT AND ILLEGAL GUN AND TRIED TO KILL HIMSELF. oH HE IS THE VICTIM IN CNN’S EYES! GIVE ME A FREAKING BREAK! AND THE BEST VICTIM OF ALL IS THE POOR WORKER THAT THINKS THEY HAVE TO HAVE A UNION TO GET ANYWHERE! I WORKED MY ASS UP FROM DOING ROOM SERVICE IN A 1000 ROOM HOTEL MAKING 6 DOLLARS PER HOUR AND NOW I AM IN MANAGEMENT AND DID IT ALL WHILE BEING A SINGLE PARENT WITH NO HELP FROM THE GOVERNMENT WITH RENT AND FOOD STAMPS AND I DAMN SURE DID NOT NEED A UNION.THE UNIONS PREVENT COMPANIES FROM BEING ABLE TO CONTROL THEIR OPERATIONS AND PREVENT THEM FROM FIRING IDIOTS THAT DESERVE IT! YOU LASY LIBERALS JUST DONT WANT TO WORK OR YOU WANT EVERYTHING HANDED TO YOU. YOU MAKE ME SICK

To greenlynn (posted at 3:11 pm):
When you have people who put their religion far ahead of their “loyalty” and “support” for the USA, the US Constitution and the American people, then I, as an American citizen, would not wanted to do anything with these people in my home-state and would prefer that they get out of the USA and not come back ever.
The United States is not made for one religion or for all religions, it’s for some peoples who are allowed to practice their religions in peace and still support the USA, so as long as they do not engage in or support thereof activities undermining or threatening the USA, the US Constitution and the American people in general. Either they support the country 100% or not at all, you cannot have it both ways.
YOU, greenlyn, are the kind of people who do not realize the dangers of Islam until it may be too late for you. Wake up.

Debbie, those e-mails IO sent you were inappropriate and threatening. I hope you personally forward them to his dean with a letter expressing your feelings about them. Unforunately, he will probably achieve his goals, as dangerous muslim crackpots are generally passed through academia with only gentle scolding.

This is one perfect example of a UK civil servant who put his religion far ahead of his allegiance and support to Britain:
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1120765/Muslim-civil-servant-suspended-kill-British-soldiers-blog.html
Of course, after that sorry incident, Britain would continue to employ Muslims into the civil services, stupidly assuming they would put their “allegiance” ahead of Britain instead of Islam. Yeah, right!

Seriously, when you sign a public petition, on the internet no less, you have to expect that people might not agree with your position. Try to be a little more adult about it. Your attitude and language make you a disgrace to your future profession.

Just a note to point out something ever so slightly humorous I noticed as I read through this post and his emails.
In his first email he stated
“And JUST IMAGINE EVEY SINGLE person on that list will be making a salary in the 6 figure digits.”
and this
” would think about THAT before you decide to wage a war against one of this society’s most influential and powerful people. ”
I took his reference to them as “society’s most influential and powerful people” to infer as future Doctors as opposed to Muslims, Dr’s are pretty influential.
As the post goes on in his next email he states
“All I have to say, is that you fucked up all of our medical careers, and be prepered for the backlash.”
That whole 6 figure income might have sounded impressive, but if all their medical careers are now “fucked up” that whole 6 figure income is about as impressive as dust in the wnd now
