Palestinian Queen Buys 22 Karat Gold Shoes w/ Diamonds – “Let Them Eat Falafel”

By Debbie Schlussel

Yesterday, the King of the real “Palestine,” King Abdullah Bin Hussain of Jordan, attacked Israel in a Wall Street Journal op-ed piece, calling for a Palestinian State on Israeli land.  That’s because he, a member of the Hashemite minority in Jordan, doesn’t want to give the Palestinian majority, which may be as high as 90-some % of the Jordanian population, a state where they should really have one, if any:  Jordan.  So, to alleviate that “problem,” he married a Palestinian who lives in the country of Fifth Avenue, New York and occasionally makes appearances in Jordan, when she’s not doing propaganda work with Oprah Winfrey or others among her minions of butt-kissers.

Muslim Queen & Drag Queen: BFFs Queen Rania and Michelle Hussein Obama Hang Out

And while many Jordanians–particularly Jordanian Palestinians–live in poverty and have a very low standard of living, Palestinian Queen Rania has a new way to show them how to really live, something you should remember the next time the Jordanian mini-King and his Queen attack Israel or mention “poverty” in Gaza or the “oppressed” Palestinians:

An Indian jeweller has been hired to make golden shoes for Jordan’s Queen Rania Al-Abdullah.

The Calcutta jeweller, who wants to remain anonymous, has been asked to make two pairs of 22 carat gold shoes.

Each pair will weigh 750 grams and will be embellished with diamonds and topaz.

The Bengali daily newspaper Anandabazar Patrika reports the jeweller said: “The queen used to get her shoes designed in Peshawar but they were not made of pure gold, only gold threads were used on the leather.

“The shoes she wants now will be made from pure gold without leather or foam.”

The newspaper says Jordanian officials had reportedly paid an advance of £34,468 for the job and the remainder, “a substantial amount of money”, will be paid after delivery.

The jeweller says he has imported three kilograms of gold from London to be used in the making of the shoes over the next two months.

Wow, those shoes sound really functional.

Again, remember the Palestinian Queen’s diamond-encrusted gold shoes the next time she whines about the “poor Palestinians.” I’m sure the Palestinians would happily take the more than $55,000 it costs for these ridiculous, garish shoes, in addition to the gazillions in aid they already get from the U.S. and Israel.

Instead, Queen Rania and her hubby–with this shoe purchase and other swanky stuff they constantly buy on the Jordanian Palestinian dime–are telling the Palestinians:  Let them eat falafel.  And make sure it’s halal.

And correct me if I am wrong, Deb, but don’t our tax dollars prop up this jackal king and his “Palestinian” wife? So aren’t we the taxpayers really buying the shoes for her?

When is the last time any of your readers, or you, spent $55,000 for a pair of shoes?

JEG: Yes. Jordan gets US Aid, which I meant to mention. Thanks for bringing this up. DS

You know, I think I spend $40 for a pair of slip on shoes from Land’s End. 10 1/2 wides.

I note how the semi-literate followers of the Religion created by a child raping mass murdering thief with the same first name as the great Stooge Mr. Howard have come out in force on this post.

I’m sure Michelle will be getting a pair of those herself at our expense….

Stunningly beautiful and elegant, Queen Rania is also known for her unpretentious nature. According to her Web site, she once remarked, “I just wake up and feel like a regular person. At the end of the day, you are living your life for the people that you represent. It’s an honor and privilege to have that chance to make a difference — a quantitative difference in people’s lives — and it’s my responsibility to make the most out of that opportunity.”

and she’ll wear one pair only once… then they’ll be tossed into the back of the closet with the other pair that will never even be taken out of the box.

She makes Emelda Marcos seem like she’s barefootin’!

Richard on January 20, 2012 at 6:16 pm

WOW! Makes Dorothy’s ruby slippers seem ho hum.
If there are three kilos of gold for two pairs of shoes, then each shoe would get 750 grams (about 1.65 pound). But hey, who’s counting? 3 kilos x 32.1507466[troy oz/kilo] x 1650 [USD/troy oz] = $159,146 for the gold alone! Plus the diamonds, plus the topaz.

Don’t forget, the £34,468 ($53,550)is just the down payment. A “substantial amount” is due upon delivery. Did Queen Nefertiti have such footware?

timjansing on January 21, 2012 at 2:09 am

And all this despite Jordan not being one of those OPEC gazillionaire countries like Saudi Arabia or Libya. Imagine what she’d be buying if they had oil.

Everyone should have gold shoes. The government will write a check.

American Foreign aid is so well spent, isn’t it.

Will fashionable and stylish mass murderer Asma Al-Assad insist on a pair herself?

bobguzzardi on January 21, 2012 at 9:31 am

Why isn’t there an Arab Spring in Jordan? Don’t the Jordanians/Palestinians resent this type of behavior, or do they not know about it? I remember reading a long article about the queen in “Vogue”, painting her as the most wonderful mother, wife, patron of patients and hospitals, etc. And of course, her excellent taste in designer fashion. A real queen for the people. Hah!

Jackie53 on January 21, 2012 at 11:14 am

I am sure that somewhere, somehow this is the fault of the Israelis. Where are the Jimmy Carters or the Angelina Jolies or the New York Times to connect the dots when you need them?

Roddamon on January 21, 2012 at 11:32 am

Excellent point, Rod. I am especially disappointed that Jimmy Carter hasn’t done his job in blaming these “lies” on the Israelis and their keeping the Palestinians in apartheid. Oh, wait, that’s what the Jordanians do to the Palestinians living in Jordan. Sorry, My mistake.

Jackie53 on January 21, 2012 at 11:39 am

If the shoe fits wear it. Perfect fertilizer for another “Arab Spring”. What stupidity, I lost any respect I ever had for Queen Rania after her fifteen minutes on sixty minutes years ago.Back then I was impressed with her flawless english, and then she was cute.
As for the King, well do you blame him for wishing the “Palestinians” would just go away. I have a great idea why not offer the king to trade the Palestinians for the Israelis and make Jordan the new Israel with a Hashemite King and Queen, you know like our Obama and Michelle. He would be safe and he would not have to worry about an intifada.
Bonus, the whole world could watch the bloody battles between Hamas, Fatah,Iran and sundry others over Jerusalem and after that armegeddon is all over we return to mop up.

Ron Wolf on January 21, 2012 at 1:11 pm

Well, some parts are right, some are wrong, Pals do not want to build their state on Israeli land, and the midget of Jordan is a friend of the U.S and Israel.
That said, you are right about the behavior of the queen, it is a shame. But be assured as history teaches all of us, this phase of history is coming to an end.

Isam on January 21, 2012 at 4:34 pm

know the facts before writing such an article
Jordan is Not Palestine and it will never be,
the Palestinian real land is the land Israel occupied and they have the right to get it back
60% of Jordan population are real Jordanians not Jordanian Palestinian and FYI Jordanian Palestinian are the one living a good quality of life in Jordan
and as For the golden Shoes i’m pretty Sure its not true
And Know this Very Well we love our King and whatever you are saying won’t change the way we feel about him

Jordanian person on January 21, 2012 at 5:27 pm

Dont speek on the behalf of all Jordanian please when you say ‘we love our king… bla bla bla’. you gave bad impression about us. we have the right to oppose him as well. and I personally unhappy with the amount of spending this family do. they spend 3 billions dollar a year my friend and this true, although i dont belive the shoe stoty.

    Jordanian2 on January 21, 2012 at 6:00 pm

Thank you very much Debbie for the showing the americans the reality about the spending of the Royal family in Jordan that is highly supported by your government. The royal court share of the budget is the third. Another third goes to military. All other civil services (education, manucipality, helth care, etc) share is only third. The whole budget is little more than 7 billion USD and your country’s aid is about 10%. make a small math and you will find the without the royal court and without your country’s aid, we all win (the americans and the jordanians).

Jordanian2 on January 21, 2012 at 6:15 pm

Jordan is Jordan and Palestine is Palestine. Israel has to deal with this simple fact. As for HMQ Rania I really think you need to check again with the news paper that published the piece in the first place and make sure it is correct. I’m not saying at all she wouldn’t do such a thing but please check again if you can. thanks.

I lost all respect for the Queen, a few years ago, when she was interviewed on a network television newscast. She not only vociferously denied her late father-in-law’s role in eliminating the PLO’s attempt to overthrow his rule in 1970-1971, (killing thousands of the terrorists) a.k.a. Black September, but then was able to successfully change the subject altogether, when the dimwitted network interviewer attempted to follow-up on her ridiculous answer.

I wonder how somebody write and publish an article, without making sure that his/her information is correct (unless it’s on purpose)!!!!!!!!
1- Palestinian origion in Jordan won’t exceed 50% of the population at the best. (90%??!!!!!, what a lie?!!).
2- Jordan will never be Palestine and we won’t accept this. Remember, Palestine is an occupied land and Israel is like a cancer in Middle East, without it and your support to it (your article is an example) we will always have peace in our region.
3- Yes; we do love our king and will always be loyal to him and to Jordan.
4- As for the shoe; again make sure of the story; as too much lies and misleading information in your article make anybody not to believe.

We will always fight for FREE PALESTINE and long live the King.

It’s well known that Jordan has trade and secret agreements with Israel. They talk bad about Israel to Israel’s face but don’t bother to do a lot against them.

They have to talk bad about Israel in public or else their people will rebel. It’s just the way it is.

first of all i am Jordanian with a Palestinian origin, and i would like to tell you i was reading the silly Arab times, and i saw this about queen RANIA, i think the writer is feeling jealous from the first lady in america MICHEL, and from our queen, and i know that they are very beautiful from out side and inside, and here is some fact to the people, not to the writer because she know every thing:
first we love king abdullah and queen rania
second we love our jordanian brothers and we consider our selves as a guests on there country
third never queen rania will allow here self to do such thing
forth yes we are getting us aid but what your country is getting from us
fifth i adore falafel and thanks for reminding am going to eat a sandwich
last first lady michel really you deserve to be first lady of america

ammar on January 22, 2012 at 1:44 am

i am a Jordanian who is originally from Palestine.

First of all i would like to point that although our beloved queen spends that kind of amounts on shoes she donates 10 times as much to the less fortunate. Her majesty spends most of her time opening up schools and supporting young females to grow up and become successful in their lives.

The fact that you wrote the king of the “real palestine” shows me how ignorant you are to say that the holy lands does not belong to the Palestinians. those lands are NOT for Israel and will never be. One day and i hope that day is soon we will witness the downfall of the scumbag zionists who stole the lands and palestinians will return to THEIR land.

One more thing .. you can go fuck yourself

A proud palestinian on January 22, 2012 at 2:24 am

    “A proud palestinian”

I see that you ignored my post of 12:31 am, including my link.

Well, you can also ignore this:

The land of Israel is Israel and not Palestine. The scumbags are those who try to steal Israel’s lands from the Jewish people and they have two choices–either make peace with Israel and recognize Israel’s right to exist as a Jewish state in all of its lands or be destroyed. If you want a Palestine state to exist, either have it be established elsewhere or not at all.

And your final sentence–well right back at you.

JeffE on January 22, 2012 at 10:30 am

many thanks for information, but that ” That’s because he, a member of the Hashemite minority in Jordan, doesn’t want to give the Palestinian majority, which may be as high as 90-some % of the Jordanian ” the Hashemit’s ( the king family) are a few not more than 50 persons
is right, but about the 90% is not correct information, am a Palestinian living in Jordan but we have to be with the truth.
many thanks for you.

fuad elsaadi on January 22, 2012 at 2:29 am

This is a very poorly and full of incorrect information.
1- Palestinians receive gazillions from Isreal. This is not true. As a matter fact, Isreal collect duties on Palestinian goods and delay sending them to the Palestinian authprities in months. Your article imply that Isreal gives aid to other countries. It does not. Isreal receives $3B annually in addition to interest free loans and military equipment.
2- Palestinians should have a state in Jordan. It is the same as saying Blacks should establish a homeland in Africa. Do everyone a favor and learn a little bit about the history of the conflict. It appears that Newt Gingrich flew is contagious.
Stick to the subject. The article is about the queen of Jordan spending exorbant amount of money on shoes.

Samer on January 22, 2012 at 2:58 am

    Samer,

Israel does give the “Palestinians” aid from Israeli taxpayer money–although I wish that they wouldn’t.

Newt Gingrich was absolutely correct in what he said, and furthermore, no one has said that he is factually wrong. See my 12:31 am post for details.

JeffE on January 22, 2012 at 11:02 am

      P.S.

Debbie also wrote about Newt Gingrich’s statement and added her analysis and gives further information on why Israel never belonged to the so-called “Palestininas” and never will.

JeffE on January 22, 2012 at 11:23 am

I don’t understand what’s the connection between the content of the article and the unquestionable Palestinians’ right to have their own independent state on their own homeland, which was robbed by the Israeli’s who were and still supported by people like the writer, who I don’t know from where she got her made-up slippers story..
What ever you try to do Zionist all over the world, you cannot keep denying the right of Palestinians to have their own independent state on the 1967 borders.. if this doesn’t suite the Israelis, I suggest that you find another fake homeland and invent another Belford promise somewhere else..

Nadia Salem on January 22, 2012 at 3:51 am

    Nadia Salem,

    You write to Debbie,

“…the unquestionable Palestinians’ right to have their own independent state on their own homeland, which was robbed by the Israeli’s…you cannot keep denying the right of Palestinians to have their own independent state on the 1967 borders.”

Yes she can, as can I, just as Debbie and I continue to deny that two plus two is equal to one thousand. There’s no question that “Palestine” is not Israel and that the “Palestinians” have no right to any part of Israel. There was no Palestine as an independent Arab state–or for that matter any other non-Jewish independent state–in 1947, 1948, 1966, 1967, or any other year. Read my link in my 12:31 am post for details.

JeffE on January 22, 2012 at 10:54 am

I was born in Palestine, my father, grand father and all my ancestors were born in our beloved Palestine.. I am sure neither you or Debbie or any of your grandparents were born in my beloved land of Palestine, which will remain our sole home and we will free it from the colonial settlers sooner or later.. don’t rely on endless support of superpowrs, the world is changing and we are sure the dawn of our free Palestine is just about to break.. I advise you and Debbie to write about something useful, that might contribute to solving the core problems of your world, instead of inventing “slippers” I mean “slippery” stories to jsutify illegal Israeli occupation of our beloved and holy Palestine..

Nadia Salem on January 23, 2012 at 3:45 am

        Nadia Salem,

None of what you wrote contradicted what I said either in my response to you or elsewhere. And far from either Debbie or I writing to “jsutify illegal Israeli occupation of our beloved and holy Palestine…”, that instead you and others are writing to justify stealing Israel from the Jewish people.

But if you really believe otherwise, then let me ask you, if Palestine existed, then when did it first appear. Also, does either “Palestine” or even “Filastin” appear in the Koran? My link says none. If you want to prove my link wrong, then cite me the verse(es) in which it appears. How many times did “Palestine” exist prior to 1917? Also what language and culture did it have and what positive contributions have the people of “Palestine” contributed to the world? Also, where were the efforts to pressure Egypt to withdraw from Gaza and Jordan from the so-called “West Bank” both during the 1949-1967 period–areas that are said to be part of “Palestine”?

I say that you have no answer to these questions.

JeffE on January 23, 2012 at 11:08 pm

          To JeffE

This is the last reply addressed to your lies.. I guess other comments challenged your argument about Palestine existence.. please, don’t try to twist what came in our holy book the Qoran about sons of Israel (who was referred to as a person and not the name of a country).. we used to talk the Arami language which was the language of profit Jesus (Peace be upon him).. we have no problem with Jewish Palestinians who used to live in harmony with the rest of Muslim and Christian Palestinians.. at that time the Jews constituted not more than 3% of the total population (the same percentage of Jews in any population) ..my grandmother used to tell me lots of stories about their neighbors in Haifa who were Jewish good Palestinian citizens.. I noticed that you are trying to use religious quotes to justify the Israeli occupation, which makes no difference between you and all other extremists who try to use religion to justify their criminal acts against humanity…

To Nadia Salem on January 24, 2012 at 3:10 am:

“This is the last reply addressed to your lies.. ”

          My questions are lies?

“I guess other comments challenged your argument about Palestine existence”

Actually, you are the only one who has responded. No one else has challenged my “lies” becuase they are not lies, but the truth. And here’s another truth that I’m writing that you will also call a lie:

          2+2=4.

And this was your last response? Oh well. Your pathetic responses and everyone else’s non-responses are further proof that what I have been writing is true.

          One example:

Me on January 23, 2012 at 11:08 pm:

“Also, does either ‘Palestine’ or even ‘Filastin’ appear in the Koran? My link says none. If you want to prove my link wrong, then cite me the verse(es) in which it appears.”

Nadia Salem on January 24, 2012 at 3:10 am:

“please, don’t try to twist what came in our holy book the Qoran about sons of Israel (who was referred to as a person and not the name of a country).”

Asking a question about the Koran is twisting it–hhmm. Sounds illogical to me.

Oh wait a minute, you just said “what came in our holy book the Qoran about sons of Israel”, “sons of Israel”–and not “sons of Palestine”. You know, I think you helped me to prove my point. That plus your not citing any Koranic/Qoranic verses of their being a “Palestine” in any form–person or state or nation. Not only is there no basis of their being “Palestine” in either Judiasm or Christianity, or in regular secular history, but there isn’t even any basis for it in Islam. So then, what is the basis of the notion that there is somehow a nation/state called “Palestine”? The answer is that there is none. It is a Roman name–named after the Philistines (remember Goliath?)–used to try to cause detachment to all Jewish historical, religious, and cultural ties to Israel and is today being used by Arabs, Muslims, and other haters of Israel and the Jewish people as a term of abuse against same.

If I were you, I would reconsider your saying that your latest response to me is your final one, because if it is, then I have only one more thing left to say to you:

          Checkmate!

Here is the problem, it is indeed the US and the rest of international powers who are keeping the Jordanian king and the clowns in his government afloat. Economic and military aid reaching up to a billion $, keeping a closed eye on his lack of democracy and respect for his own population to name a few shortcomings. He comes to Washington and pulls a charm offensive on the idiots on capitol hill who just drool once they hear his accent and walks away with hundrreds of millions of our tax paying money. He comes to California and spends 12 days escorted by our secret service which costs a bundle. Again for what. He beg the Saudis to pay him and they hand him a couple of billions so he can go a buy a new airplane (airbus 340-600) which isnt even american made. THe Jordanian clown, his family and the rest of his cavemen population be in Jordanian, egyptian Palestinian or somalis can go to hell. They are so many celebrities (whom you know and probably socialize with) will blow this amount of money on drugs and parties, so whats the big different when you buy shoes?! (although I personally against buying such a thing) this says to me: No class, and self insecurity.

I believe, before going mad and blind and start shooting while blinded by hatred and racism, you should check the facts which you are accountable for in front of your readers.

I have some questions to ask:

(1) Whats the purpose of this article? There are thousands of people being killed with the Billions (if not trillions) of the tax payers money, why didn’t you question that?

(2) Who are you to decided if Jordan should be the country for Palestinians?! do you represent the UN now? or maybe Yaser Arraft left in his well that you should carry on his mission?

(3) If you are so looking for justice: talk about the “native Americans” who have been killed by the hundreds of thousands and have been dumped in conservation camps that you for some reason call “Natural reservation” as if they are a group of animals!! Is int this hypocrisy ?

I look forward to you objective answer…

Hi,

Two things, first Jordan is not the real Palestine, it is a country which came to live when Palestinians were forced under the use of machine guns by the Israels to flee to what is called now Jordan, then Israel was formed. Check the history books to know what happened.
Two, Palestinians in Jordan are always under threat to have their Jordanian nationality revoked and that would keep them without a country since their country was taken from them under the cover of the British in the beginning and later the Americans.

Deb, reading history books to get the truth about anything before writing a blog for thousands of people to read is very important, even if you check old maps before 1948 you won’t find Israel or Jordan, you would find Palestine and eastern Jordan which was not a country.

Thank you

    Alec,

What you said in your first paragraph has already been dealt with in my posts in this thread.

    Now you write to Debbie:

“… if you check old maps before 1948 you won’t find Israel or Jordan, you would find Palestine and eastern Jordan which was not a country.”

Before 1948, there was a “British Mandatory for Palestine”. It was first established in 1922 and it included not only Israel, but also what was called “Transjordan”. In 1923 Transjordan was separated out from the Mandate in order to appease the Hashemites. In 1946 Transjordan was declared an independent state and was renamed Jordan. In 1947 what was left of the “Palestine Mandate” was put up for a vote to have it partitioned into two states–one Jewish and one Arab. Note that the key word was “Arab” and not Palestinian. Israel had reluctently accepted it while the Arab rejected it and went to war against Israel and lost.

I think there is a big mistake,, Palestinians in Jordan not 90%
really that’s not correct

Mohammad Al-Kailani on January 22, 2012 at 1:56 pm

Mr Mohammad:Palestinians in Jordan are about 43% and those who clam that the Palestinians in Jordan are the majority or they are not well treated, are trying create conflict between the brothers and market Israel dream of transferring all the Palestinians from their homeland (Palestine) to Jordan

please do not try to clear israel’s face and past, what do you mean with aids from israel and america, ok. we understand that america support jordan and palistine ,but do not you think israel as will receive a lot from the american tax payers money thoug it is the one causing the problems in the world since the 30’s, be logic before writing some thing affects people who has wrights to get back their land that occupied by israel, and after all this technology people are not egnorant any more, search and get more facts that the writer tries to hide or switch, israel was made not long time ago but jordan and palestine in the history books , mabs and sites are proven to be there .
