Chechnyan Illegal Alien Hollywood Arsonist & His Criminal Mom
The mother of Harry Burkhart, the man who set several dozen arson fires in Hollywood last week, is exactly the kind of person who doesn’t belong in America and should be deported. And, after you read about both mother and son, you’ll wonder how either of them were able to get into the U.S. Well, we know how the son got on: a lax visa system, in which Customs and Border Protection and State Department employees use little scrutiny or time, before rushing through the rubber stamping of the golden ticket into the U.S., as I’ve been writing about for years, and as internal Homeland Security documents confirmed, earlier this week. Oh, and by the way, Burkhart was born in Muslim Chechnya. Hmmm . . . (Don’t worry, though. In the Hollywood movie, he’ll be a Christian from Texas.)
As longtime readers know, I believe we need a priority system for deporting illegal aliens, with violent criminals and Muslims at the top of the list, and everybody else later. Right now, as you know, we are hardly deporting anyone because that is the Obama policy: No Illegal Alien Not Left Behind. But Harry Burkhart’s mother, Dorothee Burkhart, is exactly the kind of woman who should never have been admitted into the U.S., let alone been given the opportunity to game the immigration system. Check out her rap sheet:
Dorothee Burkhart appeared in a Los Angeles court for a second time Tuesday. German authorities have accused her of posing as a landlord to obtain security deposits from renters, committing commercial fraud and failing to pay for breast-augmentation surgery, according to the court papers.
Ms. Burkhart was arrested Dec. 28 on a provisional arrest warrant after German authorities initiated a request for her extradition and remains in custody, according to Justice Department spokesman Thom Mrozek. The German government has 60 days to make a formal extradition request.
Ms. Burkhart is in the U.S. illegally, according to Immigration and Customs Enforcement. Her son is here on a nonimmigrant visa that expires Jan. 18, ICE said.
More:
The mother of suspected serial arsonist Harry Burkhart became wanted by German authorities after she escaped through a hospital window following her arrest on fraud charges, according to her attorney in Frankfurt, Germany.
Michael Koch, who was appointed as Dorothee Burkhart’s public defender by a German court, said the woman disappeared four months after her arrest when she was taken to a Frankfurt hospital for cardiac problems.
Two prison guards accompanied her but removed her handcuffs to allow her to use the restroom, and when she did not emerge after several minutes, they realized she had escaped through a window into the hospital’s backyard, Koch said.
“She didn’t look like she would be able to climb through a small window,” Koch recalled in a phone interview. . . .
[In Germany,] she faces 19 charges of fraud and embezzlement relating to payment for a breast augmentation procedure and failing to pay or return deposits on rental agreements, totaling around $45,000.
Koch said he briefly met with Harry Burkhart to discuss his mother’s case before her escape. At the time, the son was incoherent and acted strangely, and did not appear to realize what was going on, he said. . . .
He said the son appeared to be mentally ill. His client and her son appeared to be highly dependent on one another emotionally, Koch said.
Uh-huh. And we gave him a visa and welcome entry into the U.S. Only in America.

The Times reported Burkhart had “travel papers” from Chechnya even though he’s a German national.

HL: Whoever at LA Weekly who wrote that can’t read. The Times reported that he was born there, not that he had travel papers from there. But thanks for that tip b/c that’s important info which I’ve now added. DS
