Great Contrast Between Obama & Palin

By Debbie Schlussel
As many of you know by now, McCain’s Veep choice, Sarah Palin is the proud mother of five and recently chose to have a baby, despite warnings that it might have Down Syndrome.
As many of you also know, Barack Hussein Obama is pro-abortion, even for his own daughters–his own grandchildren–and supports partial-birth abortion and other extreme measures, which are basically murder of an already partially born fetus. He said he did not want his daughters “punished with a baby.”
Reader Abraham has a great idea for a commercial which shows us who really cares for the less fortunate:

Here’s an idea for Palin v. Obama commercial. Palin keeping her baby with Down’s Syndrome while Obama said he couldn’t “punish my daughters with a baby.”
Talk about differences. Obama–The same man who voted for infanticide while in Illinois legislature.
Palin is someone who follows and believes her faith, not someone who speaks about his relationship with God and then does anything but.

Abraham, great idea. I’d hire you to make ads if I were running the campaign.

Yes, most of Europe thinks children are a punishment, too, and that’s why it’s being depopulated, and the Muslims are taking over. That’s why Germans rallied behind Obama. Just imagine a whole continent of Obamas!

This is a most interesting choice-could get good

mindy1 on August 29, 2008 at 10:05 pm

I certainly hope that they don’t make the Down Syndrome child a talking point in a commercial. How crude. This is the party that used to stand on ideas and sensible positions. Though I find her biography fascinating, I personally think the mother of a four month old boy with Down Syndrome should be at home raising the child. I guess I’m old-fashioned.
In any case, weren’t Palin and her husband Pat Buchanan supporters? Debbie–Given your (justified) opinions about Buchanan, doesn’t this concern you a little?

SurfDog on August 29, 2008 at 10:22 pm

Although I do have reservations about Palin, the Buchanan charge is a smear. There are numerous web sites that show that all she did is welcome him, as a candidate, to her town when she was mayor. She indicated she would similarly welcome all candidates.
I don’t believe there is any significant political figure today (maybe one or two crackpots in the House) who have any sympathy for Buchanan’s political views. She has a son going to Iraq, and Buchanan thinks the Iraq war is Jewish conspiracy!

c f on August 29, 2008 at 10:34 pm

If anyone, McCain/Palin etc., makes such a commercial, then the baby will be used by both sides for politics. I don’t think Palin should want that.
DailKos is reporting the possibility that the baby may in fact not be Sarah Palin’s baby but her daughter’s:

Obama is so pro-“abortion” he voted AGAINST bills protecting infants who survived abortions.
BORN ALIVE infants who survived abortions, according to Obama deserve to die.
Obama is so pro-abortion that he is pro-infanticide.
Even Pelosi and Hillary Clinton voted for this bill. Obama is to the left of NARAL, Boxer and Feinstein.
“he voted against a bill that would require medical treatment for babies that survive late term abortions. Hillary Clinton voted for the bill.” -colorado springs gazette
He voted against a similar bill in the Illinois state senate, a bill even NARAL was neutral on.
Even Liberal news outlets are taken aback.
“Opposing efforts to help babies born alive in botched abortions is the crime – enabling infanticide….
At the risk of committing blasphemy, you have to ask: What’s with this guy?…” David Reinhard, of the Oregonian.

There used to be a time, decades ago, when liberals actually had political ideas. People could discuss their ideas, and figure out whether their approaches were good for society.
Now, at least judging from the responses to this post, liberals are reduced to circulating smears, and made-up slanders: oh, she supports Buchanan, oh, this isn’t really her baby. No proof or substantiation for any of these made-up slanders. Of course, liberalism leads to totalitarianism, and the liberals have always supported dictators such as Castro, Stalin, Mao, Chavez, Abbas, ad nauseum. All of these creeps are masters at making up smears; just read Animal House (except the current liberals are so dumb they have never heard of it, much less read it), so the latest smears against Palin are probably just warm-up for them.

I’m sorry she may be ant–abortion but I don’t see her as PRO CHILD. SHe pushed for had her brother in law to be fired because her sister had a nasty divorce and rhetoric sounds like that of a feminst. SHe is against the ALL BOYS NETWORK AND AGAIN THE ESTABLISHMENT. It sounds like a code word for “MEN.” THe way these women do it is being vicious to men and then the men complain or attack back to claim they are a victim. At least the truth about you is coming out about you Debbie. Some women have many children but still hate men and don’t care that children should have a father which is ANTI CHILD. It is a tragedy that both Judiam and Christianity don’t consider fatherhood important or denying a child a father a problem but you only know how to go after easy targets . YOU DON’T WANT TO HELP FATHERS IN ANY WAY. Doesn’t it bother you that she fired someone who didn’t fire her ex brother in law. Doesn’t her lack of experience bother you. Doesn’t her rhetoric bother you Debbie which what I heard does not impress me one bit about her as she may be Pro Life and have 5 children but this does not mean she doesn’t have a hatred for men which again to view corruption as AN ALL BOYS CLUB shoul DEEPLY CONCERN YOU Debbie as I know pro life women who hate any business that hires more men then women. This is not good for capitilism and the free market. Her lack of expereience also should trouble you and the message that if you are a women you get promoted faster then if you are a man. INstead of focusing on her qualification she focused on the glass ceiling stuff.

adam6275 on August 30, 2008 at 2:42 am

I am really impressed with Gov. Palin, so far. Right person. Right place. Right time. She is a Real Woman. Hard-Working. Got where she is on her own merit, and not because of who her husband is. A strong and dynamic Woman. Hockey Mom, yet has a great smile. lol. She is a proven Reformer. She has an 80% approval rating in Alaska. Strong but not silent. She does not simply SAY that she is pro-life, she lives it. She is a life long member of the NRA. Her oldest son is enlisted in the Military. He deploys for Iraq in September. Her husband is a commercial Fisherman. Friday was their 20th wedding anniversary. Adding Palin to the ticket gives many one more reason to Vote For the Republican ticket, instead of Voting Against an anti-life candidate.

Comments on Biden’s alledged foreign policy experience:
To say that Biden has a wealth of experience in foreign relations is like saying that Pelayo has medical experience because he watches The Health Channel. Biden has never negotiated a treaty, an agreement, or had any substantial dealings with a foreign power. Sitting in a Senate committee and pontificating about things foreign does not qualify him for anything but being a spectator.
McCain, wasn’t he an ambassador to North Vietnam for five years?

Pelayo on August 30, 2008 at 11:46 am

Obama DOES listen to, follow, revere, worship, and obey his god, as does Sarah Palin. But there’s one distinct difference.
Sarah’s God is the God of Abraham.
Obama’s god is the god of LIBERAL politics.

Thee_Bruno on August 30, 2008 at 12:02 pm

One suggestion for Abraham’s script–show a shot with a little hostipal baby guerney with a baby set off to the side –to die–showing how Obama fought against outlawing infanticide in a case where an aborted baby is born alive. Usually this barbarism is less dignified than a guerney. What barbarity the libs dismiss as a “woman’s choice!”
By contrast Palin’s realization that all life, no matter how marred by the effects of the fall–is still in the image of G-d and deserves to be loved and welcomed as the precious miracle that it is-even if to some, it it is seen mailnly as inconvenient. Palin shows that values dictate choices! Her values are the look to be kind we need to honor and emulate.

BB on August 30, 2008 at 12:42 pm

Thanks adam6275 for droppin’ by from the upside-down world.
I think thereís been a new Sasquatch sighting, conveniently in your areaÖfollow up pleaseñ
Palinís former brother-in-law threatened Palinís father with death, indirectly, several timesÖand has numerous disciplinary actions taken against him by his own police department! I can imagine though her frustration with a police force that still employs this “loose cannon”. Last chance apparently.
I hope she did go after him. But she didnít. She moved against the overseeing canard who was asking for more police force moneyÖeven with 60 trooper positions left unfilled. She is result oriented and clears house as she needs toÖshe has a history of this. The canard was just a poor adapter and now heís just a liar. He was offered another position but like a true ìsuck attackîÖhe refused, publicly vented, and floated a lie.
You know, I was somewhat worried McCain MIGHT NOT win. Then two things happened.
1) OBAMA dumped HilaryÖbig mistakeÖshows how insecure and inexperienced he is. Keep your friends close and your enemies closer. He was afraid sheíll always be a combative rivalÖuh, buddy, thatís who she isÖbut Hillary would have towed the line..she knows you won. In the ìBarracksî likely couldn’t have lost with Hillary in towÖbut then he picked Joe Biden and allowed personal angst (or passive-aggressive vengeance?) to sway him, to chose a lesser potential VP! You can always hire a foreign affairs expert, but you never trade away popularity. Dummy!!
2) McCain chose Sarah Palin. Most women will chose the very likable Palin now (by vote) even if they don’t happen to like McCain. She’s high on the integrity, feisty and attractive scale. A clear winner (HeyÖChange, we can REALLY believe inÖas one of Debbieís posters said).
Hillary and Bill have their supporters. They both took the high road at the D-nomination, but when you walk away from itÖHillary looks like she was denied. Wrongfully. No way around that, Barrack. Conjure up what you willÖ
While Hillary gave no hint of her disappointment, her supporters havenít been so gracious and wonít beÖlooking forward to November. And they too will cast their votes.
Now Sarah is family oriented. Really.
For herself and all Americans. Really Pro-life, leading by example, and unapologetic by nature, the first quality Debbie highlighted in this post.
Family oriented in a way that Obamaís PR machine just canít manufacture, and who are beside themselves, wringing their hands, because they suspect Sarah just might be better in the public eye. And they just canít stop the silly exodus!
The poor, especially the black and latino poor have always been targets of the abortion ideology. Perceived as diminished. Obama, instead of opposing that horrorÖhas embraced it, wants to further it even, in new ways incrediblyÖwith no protection at allÖeven for those born alive!
Look folks, hereís a good family manÖwho happens to dabble in child porn. Good goes out the window, I think. Look folks, hereís another good family man who happens to support infanticideÖ
You know what? I donít see a difference.
And the real race here folks, for the ìwhole dealî, lies between Palin and Obama. The two figures the American public is presently most interested in.
Youíre done ObeeÖyou just got smoked.

Just heard this on Pete Dominick: FEMA = Find Ever Mexican Available.
As soon as i heard about Palin’s baby it was GAME SET MATCH—She’s the only GOP i know of that talks the talk and will walk the walk—i KNOW for a fact all the little GOP Princesses get scraped if somethang rains on their parade whilst they’re still in the middle of “living” large.

EminemsRevenge on August 30, 2008 at 3:45 pm

I cannot believe how the CFR has manipulated the American Public into thinking their is any difference in the candidates for President. Both will sell out the American people for the New World Order.
It is a tragedy that we cannot vote for “none of the Above” like they can in Nevada.
If Sara was running for President, I might give a damn but McCain put her on the ticket because his people knew he would lose without her.
I will be voting for the Conservative Candidate, Chuck Baldwin and so is everyone else I know who is fed up with the RNC.

ScottyDog on August 30, 2008 at 4:56 pm

“Sarah Palin is the proud mother of five and recently chose to have a baby”
Debbie, does this mean you’re pro-choice? Governor Palin didn’t CHOOSE to have her baby. She doesn’t believe it should be her right to choose one way or another. If she had an abortion, her political career would be over. If you’re pro-life, what “choice” is there? Only if she was pro-choice could she have chosen to have the baby. Understand?

This is coming from a chick who would have been wiling to ride the sybian in order to get pub on Howard Stern. I liked the old Debbie Schlussel, who fought for what was right. The journalist that was looking for the truth and not the publicity. You helped me learn about world politics.
Honestly, I am not a big fan of either party. Obama is not the solution and McCain is part of the problem.

Madaboutfutbol on August 30, 2008 at 11:22 pm

Seeing some of this is very insulting to me. The FEMA ®joke®. I¥m Hispanic and to hear these jokes and to have them accepted is proposterous. I help these people come to this country to adapt. The people that come to this country they bust their humps to try to make a living. They have no intention of taking jobs away from the American public, although on paper it seems that way.
I can leave some links to tomato farms and chicken packing factories that are looking for people. If anyone needs a job, I can refer you.
To hear this shows where the true issue of thie election lies.
You can hide it as much as you want. You can all talk about pro-life and pro-choice or whatever other drivel you might want. Everyone reading this blog for the most part will never vote for a President Gonz·lez or President Habib or President Chen or… President Obama. The dude has two strikes against him.
Hey, people put Bush in twice and he had three against him- blind, dumb, illiterate.
I am not a Democrat (would never be one) or a Republican (castrate me, first!).
One of these people hear talk about liberalism leading to totalitarianism, that is very true. Don¥t forget that conservatism leads to fascism. Mussolini, Hitler… I think you have heard of those guys and what they did.
So for both Republicans and Democrats, let me teach you a SPANISH saying (I will translate it, since you refuse to learn another language) ®Don¥t spit upwards.® Both extremes have their defects just like they have their positives.
This is why I hate people that use these black and white terms, no pun intended. Conservative and Liberal are terms that people that are ignorant about the fact use to justify or slander another person¥s way of seeing things.
We use our God and ®their God® as well as us being right and they being wrong. What if ®they® had the truth?
Just some pearls of wisdom.

She is a member of the FEMINISTS FOR LIFE ORGANIZATION. SO yes she is “PRO LIFE” but as was evidenced by the speech she is af feminist which is very bad and certainlly something that will promote FREE MARKETS AND CAPITALISM. WHat we need more affirmiative action for women which is really what this was. If this was a 44-year old man in Alaska obviously he would not have got this pick. Here is a link to an article that exposes this.

[BM: OF COURSE, I’M PRO-LIFE. YOU DIDN’T GET THAT? DS]
That’s why I don’t understand why you insist Palin had a choice. A choice means you thoughtfully consider both sides of an issue and hopefully make the right decison. Are you saying that Gov. Palin considered abortion? Make that the headline in your blog and you’ll get traffic out the wazoo. I don’t believe that happened but apparently you do. It sounds like you’re saying pro-lifers (including yourself) would CONSIDER abortion.
Anyway I hope the media goes easy on Gov. Palin. Just about 18 months ago she was the mayor of Mooseport and now she’s gong to be in the company of wolves. I hope she doesn’t drop out and run back home like Aunt Bea did when she ran for Mayberry city council. Aunt Bea got so overwhelmed by the pressure that she ran away to Mt. Pilot to run an ant farm. Andy had to talk her into coming home because Bea inisted that those ants could be milked. I think politics made Aunt Bea cuckoo.

FYI and heads up:
The Daily Kos (the Dem’s SS orders board) is spreading rumors that Gov. Palin’s baby was not hers, but her underage daughter’s. And the governor is covering it up.
There is no hard evidence to prove it (DNA tests or legally obtain medical records).
If the law was really fair, then any gentleman could duel them for such an offense. Rapiers at dawn.

First poll out with Palin on ticket has McCain up 47 to 45 (Zogby). Friday night at my local bar, the response to Nightly news was like the OJ verdict in reverse. Republicans were ecstatic like Christmas morning, while Libs and Blacks were in shock like thier Christmas was stolen. Just like Obama’s bounce got erased.

I’m not impressed. If women put gender before other issues which sadly so called conservative women are very guilty of this as well (maybe that is why boxer and feinstein in California keep on getting elected) this country is in a lot of trouble and we are going to become like Europe or maybe worse. The women with their hatred toward men is as bad as blacks hatred towards whites. And women are a larger block so I don’t know what the end is because this women Palin seems to be liberal when it comes to affirmative action for women and I do think is liberal on divorce as well and who knows now what kind of judges McCAin will put up there. Where I live in NJ we have a Jewish women who writes a monthly paper who is pro life and for guns but she also is a pretty bigt feminists and actually uses her paper to tell men if they don’t divorce their wives she will right a hit piece in her newspaper. THis combination overall from reading her paper for the most part she isn’t really conservative other then a few issues she knows she has to be conservative.

I guess the Palin from Alaska is not going over too well in Black Community according to P.Diddy. According to Diddy the election is about electing a Black Man for President and nothing else. Diddy says “there are no crackheads in Alaska”. What logic, I guess that disqualifies her? Oh I bet the South Side of Chicago has crackheads and Obama is fit to lead? In this video what is he spinning on? Save this one in a vault.

Here is one of Obama’s born alive not non-viable infant/fetus comments… (I added the emphasis by capitalizing the phrase Obama said)
SENATOR OBAMA: So ó and again, Iím ó Iím not going to prolong this, but I just want to be clear because I think this was the source of the objections of the Medical Society. As I understand it, this puts the burden on the attending physician who has determined, since they were performing this procedure, that, in fact, this is a nonviable fetus; that if that fetus, or child ó however way you want to describe it ó is now outside the motherís womb and the doctor continues to think that itís nonviable but thereís, letís say, movement or some indication that, in fact, THEY’RE NOT JUST COMING OUT LIMP AND DEAD, that, in fact, they would then have to call a second physician to monitor and check off and make sure that this is not a live child that could be saved. Is that correct?

This is typical libtard stuff. Palin will be smeared as much as the next guy because she’s a conservative woman. The media gives Nancy “Stretch” Pelosi ALLLLL KIIINDS of passes for saying and doing the stupidist, anti military, anti American stunts. But let a reasonable woman get the nomination for the Republican party and wow they’ll print ANYTHING. I’m surprised they haven’t went after her husband yet.
To smear the mother of a handicapped baby, as they have, is typical libtard. Especially when B.O. is so ademently for aborting the babies that would be burdens to his own daughters.

Great Post Xoce.
Just reading the transcript Obama has no idea what he is talking about. This man will say or do anything to be President. In the transcript he doesnt know what to call a child outside the womb. He no convictions in any of his beliefs. He is only voting this way because NARAL and Planned Parenthood told him to vote this way. So the wishes of a woman whose abortion was “botched” and “unfortunately” the child lives is considered a non-person. According to Obama therefore it must die and no medical attention given. We must respect the wishes of the mother even if modern medicine can keep it alive. Truly disgusting and soulless. But Obama’s response anytime he is cornered is “that this is old politics and you are just dividing Americans and the American people want change and will reject the politics of the past.”
Standard cowardly puke.

He did not just “inhale”. He was “enthusiastic” about his drug use and womanising. How hypocritically. Let him who is without sin cast the first stone at the Obama campaign. Lol! Lol! Lol!

Response: No it is isn’t. But where did I say it is ok to beat women. IF that your game. Anytime you criticize a women you are a wifebeater. I certainlly do not condone wife abuse although I am very much against false accusations with no evidence and vague charges and you need to hear the whole story. Women are smaller then men but that does not mean that the man is always wrong and the women always right. I would hope we believe in justice in this country when it comes to family problems. In some states you can make false accusations thanks to JOE BIDEN’S Violence Against Women’s Act which sounds great but was passed by feminsts who are mostly not married and hate men and women can make false accusations and it happens all the time. A man is guilty till proven innocent. According to the atitude of those who made this law a mother rasing a child without a father is independent. If the father is angry that he is denied rights to his own children he is a monster and they have made up smears against men because there has been violence towards judges by men who are denied access to their children. Maybe you should have YOUR CHILDREN taken away from you for petty reasons and we will see how YOU FEEL. If IT IS TRUE that her brother in law was violent and not fiting to be an officer why didn’t she say so. Sarah should use this against Joe Biden in the debate if he gets angry in any way and make her UNCOMFORTABLE. Since he believes if a WOMEN FEELS UNCOMFORTABLE that is abuse. Use that against him in the debate. That is violence towards women. Alaska is one of the worst states for false accusations by the way. Check out the site http://www.mediaradar.org.
Sarah is a member of Feminsts for life. Furthermore, Sarah said he was fired for other reasons not for this which if it is true why would she not see that her brother in law was very violent and that is why HE SHOULD HAVE BEEN FIRED WHICH IS A RESONABLE EXPLANATION. IT sounds there is much to it then that.
But anyway as I said she is “PROLIFE” which is better then Obama who is for killing a baby once it is born. But she has other issues. IT does concern me she is a member of FEMINSTS FOR LIFE and the speech she gave about the GLASS CEILING. A number of books have been published that suggest accounting for experience women don’t make less then men and in fact in certain situation it is MEN that are getting paid less for the same work. So Palin going to put more affirmative action for women. Is that what we need in this economy? Furthermore, doesn’t it bother you that has the belief that men as a group abuse women which is what feminist believe rather then criticize the man or men they disagree with instead of criticizing the whole male gender which not ALL MEN THINK ALIKE. This atitude of hers is actually promoting VIOLENCE TOWARDS MEN which of course when women say obnoxious things to men and men get upset verbally the women scream abuse. Just what the doctor ordered. Just what this country needs.
Not just her but in general this idea that women will vote for someone because they are a women is just as bad as blacks voting for someone just because they are black. It is sad women trust politicians more then they do their father or their husband or their brother. It shows a certain hatred towards men which of course sex and the city showed. But I don’t this pick overall is good for family values (and her lack of experience is an issue. He picked her just because she was a women) and women having this atitude that men have oppressed women for every grievence they have and wanting specail prevliges and affirmative action(as if men have everything perfect) is going to lead to marxism and communism and just have a few people on top in the gov’t (mostly men but a few women) control everythihng.
As I said I will likely hold for nose and vote for McCain although I may just sit it out as I am certainlly not voting for Obama but her speech which was a very feminists speech and supporting feminsts for life I think raises red flags in addition to her inexperience. Feminists may be pro life and for guns. But in other area’s feminsts are usually are very liberal and for feminsts to push EQUALITY they need BIG GOVERNMENT which is not conservative at all. I have seen this myself among women with this combination who by the way don’t want men to learn how to use weapons only women.
