Anti-Israel Whole Foods Wishes You a Happy Ramadan

By Debbie Schlussel

**** UPDATE, 08/09/11: Anti-Israel Whole Foods “Caves” After Schlussel Ramadan Post, But Not Really ****

Don’t be surprised if you hear the words, “Ramadan Mubarak” (a blessed Ramadan), at a Whole Foods near you.  The company is bragging that it is the first national supermarket chain to have a Ramadan marketing campaign, complete with social media.  And the folks at HAMAS financier and unindicted co-conspirator, CAIR Action Network, are have allahgasms about it. I’m not surprised by this development.  As longtime readers know, I haven’t set foot in Whole Paycheck a/k/a Whole Foods since I discovered (and reported to you) that the company was not only selling–but pimping and promoting–“Canaan Fair Trade” and “Palestinian Fair Trade” Olive Oil, olive oil that funds Palestinian Islamic terrorism and its supporters, including, among other things, scholarships at HAMAS terrorism universities.  (More here.)

Whole Foods Wishes Vegan Jihadists a Happy Ramadan

After I wrote about this, Whole Foods PR hacks sent out press releases and e-mails lying and denying.  But none of what the company said was true  and since I wrote about this, I received many reports from Whole Foods customers that Israeli olive oil and other products had been removed from the shelves of many Whole Foods, replaced by the Palestinian terrorism olive oil.  My reports didn’t stop ignoramuses like Michelle Malkin Fraudkin from blindly urging people to buy goods at jihadist-enabling Whole Foods, merely because its CEO was under fire for opposing Obamacare.  Only morons–and that includes Fraudkin, bigtime–believe that the enemy of my enemy is my friend, even when they enable and financially support Islamic terrorism.

And, now, there is the Ramadan crap, solely for monetary reasons.  Yes, like ALL other American corporations, Whole Foods is whoring itself out to Islam for profits.  And as more and more Muslims populate America through immigration and high birth rates, more and more corporations will shill for jihadist interests.  It’s that simple.  We’ve already seen it with Wal-Mart, Best Buy, and others.  And now this from Whole Jihad Foods.  The question is, how long ’til Whole Foods no longer carries pork and other non-halal products?  Answer:  Not long.

Even scarier, the Whole Foods’ Whole Planet Foundation acknowledges “an ongoing charitable relationship” with halal foods maker Saffron Road. What exactly does that mean? Where is that Whole Foods charity money made from your Whole Foods purchases going? Is it going to hateful mosques that openly support Hezbollah and HAMAS (which is pretty much every mosque in America)? Is it going to support extremist Muslim schools? Why take the chance and continue to buy at Whole Foods? You don’t know where your money is going. But, for certain, it’s going for Ramadan promotions and giveaways.

Check out this blatant Islamo-pandering from Whole Foods’ “Whole Story” blog:

More:

Whole Foods has become the first prominent supermarket chain to run a Ramadan marketing campaign–and they’re hoping Muslim customers will return the favor as they break fast. Even though Muslims traditionally forego meals during the day, lavish evening Ramadan meals could mean big bucks for the natural foods giant … as well as brand loyalty from a demographic not traditionally courted by megastore advertising.

Whole Foods is teaming up with Halal frozen entree brand Saffron Road (who sell a variety of Indian-, Thai-, and Moroccan-flavored dinners) to host several promoted blog items on Whole Foods’ website along with sponsored giveaways of Saffron Road food and supermarket gift certificates. Additional content for the campaign is being added by Yvonne Maffei of the My Halal Kitchen blog. While it is a relatively small promotion, it also marks a new benchmark for the Muslim-American community: the first coordinated Ramadan promotion by a national supermarket chain. . . .

The “campaign focuses on reaching Muslim consumers online where they are already having conversations about halal foods, grocery shopping, and preparing for Ramadan,” Saffron Road spokesperson Lisa Mabe tells Fast Company. Saffron Road maintains a heavy social media presence and an ongoing charitable relationship with Whole Foods’ Whole Planet foundation, and hopes the promotion will further strengthen their brand awareness. . . .

With Whole Foods’ self-consciously granola self-presentation and liberal-, cosmopolitan-skewing customer base, they are the ideal chain to attempt a marketing project aimed squarely at Muslim-American consumers.

Here’s a tip, Whole Foods: there is NOTHING “cosmopolitan” about Islam. In fact, Islam is the antonym to cosmopolitan. Retro is in. Retro back to the year 622 and the values of savages will NEVER be in.

Whole Foods . . . For the Organically Conscious Jihadist. Way more humane because, hey, “free range chickens” can run away from the IED. allahu natural fruitbar.

Yomna on August 12, 2011 at 7:13 am

Ms. Schlussel, do you understand how crazy you sound?

Pupster on August 12, 2011 at 7:48 am

This is one of the reasons I and 100’s and 1000’s of Americans are converting to Islam. The arrogance, selfishness and hypocrisy we carry as Americans, makes me so ashamed. Debbie America as you know it is dying quickly leaving an older generation that is rotting. While a newer generation is quickly emergimg that can show you old heads how to co-exist or not exist at all.

Hashim Hakim on August 12, 2011 at 8:35 am

Good! Convert to Islam who ignorant enough to kill their own daughters or sisters in the name of the family Honer.

Nomi on August 14, 2014 at 4:00 pm

Wow, I legitimately think I became stupider from reading this.

You and your hate speech should be banned from the internet.

Marcel on August 12, 2011 at 11:23 am

I would like to tea bag you.

Sam on August 12, 2011 at 1:59 pm

No seriously, I want you to lay flat on the ground and then squat over your face to repeatedly tea bag you with my scrotum. Ya?

Sam on August 12, 2011 at 2:02 pm

You are a hateful racist pig, Debbie, and breathtakingly ignorant. I’m sorry the internet so easily provides a forum for people like you. I’m glad that most of the posters are as disgusted by you as I am.

Margaret on August 12, 2011 at 3:31 pm

Grow up, Debbie.

The gist of this article, to save one from becoming stupider:

1. Muslim = terrorist
2. Muslim from Palestinian region = super-terrorist
3. Any grocer besides Wal-Mart = communist/terrorist

That should about do it. Saved ya some time

Noam on August 12, 2011 at 4:14 pm

> In fact, Islam is the antonym to cosmopolitan.
Nope. Cosmopolitan means of or pertinent to the world. Not that your credibility hung on *that* particular point, but it does show your article comes more from emotion and lazy thinking than reason and facts.

Loving some of the comments here.

Do the work before writing on August 12, 2011 at 7:52 pm

Debbie, I hope you have some sound reasonable forces in your life that can help put out this volcano of anger that you have towards Muslims. I hope you will never experience the fear, sadness and danger that you put on other Muslims through your hateful words. You’ve just demonstrated who the real “savage” is through this column. Thank you everyone, for your support for love & peace! Y’all give me hope for a better America.

Honey Moor on August 12, 2011 at 9:58 pm

Loving the comments from everyone, hopefully they will show debbie the light because I think she is surrounded by darkness.

ella on August 15, 2011 at 12:17 am

You need to chill the fuck out, yo.

I dunno, maybe you need to get off the PCP or whatever you’re on.

Or maybe you need some attention at Sheppard Pratt.

MN on August 16, 2011 at 9:22 am

I hope you don’t get any sponsors and your paycheck is completely blank, your defamatory claims without any support are quite repulsive. No wonder america is so divided, with people promoting hate as much as you do that would be quite hard. Why don’t you move to wherever your views are more accepted?

mariano on August 16, 2011 at 3:39 pm

Debbie (TongueTwister) Schlussel.. my suggestion is to send her back to her original country cuz I know for sure her grandfather came to America as a refugee and thus has no moral authority to talk about what Americans should or shouldn’t do!!

mahosha on August 18, 2011 at 7:34 pm

Over the top? That is up to each of us to judge – for our selves. My own opinion is that have seen an obvious shift in “what is acceptable” for businesses to acknowledge in public. In the DC area, it was not uncommon to see an occasional Happy Hanukah sign or more regularly, the TV stations would have a nice picture of a Hanukah menorah on the days of Hanukah. Over the last few years, the Happy Hanukah signs and more noticeably, it has become rare to see any mention of Hanukah by the TV stations. Again, my opinion, that businesses are either worried that if a “radical” muslim proclaims their business chain any-arab, they may suffer dire consequences or at least, they don’t want to appear pro-Jewish. I any case, the results are the same – focus on being pro-muslim while distancing yourself from the Jewish community. It just makes business sense, but not moral sense. Peace.

every man on August 22, 2011 at 2:14 pm

    To: every man

    It so true.

Nomi on August 14, 2014 at 3:52 pm

Debbie, the truth brings out the haters. Your article is a great service to true Americans. Hate is foremost for the fundamentalist Muslims when it comes to infidels, Christians and Jews. One can conclude from many of the comments that not only are the writers haters but also very lacking of intelligence. Keep up your good work.

Mike on August 22, 2011 at 10:21 pm

I absolutely agree with you Mike, the arrogance and the ignorance of the hateful posters that have yet to understand that the first victims of Islam are Muslims themselves, they think of themselves so hype , so cool because you know women oppression is so cool, because they still have to figure out that this is no religion but a totalitarian ideal that afflicts so many human beings .. YOU ARE NOT COOL PEOPLE ! PLANE IGNORANTS ..

Joelle on December 6, 2012 at 12:57 am

I agree with you Joelle. Once American became like European countries where the Muslim there force the Sharia law on their citizen, than all the haters in this site will think twice what they are saying now.

Nomi on August 14, 2014 at 4:03 pm

Mike, the comments here are not from haters! DEBBIE has always been a hater. She needs help,i feel sorry for her.I love whole foods and it has nothing to do with Ramadan.Only haters love her website.Keep on hating DEBBIE!!!

rock on August 23, 2011 at 1:27 am

Hey mike, explain to us how she is doing a great service to Americans.Your comment makes no sense. You are the one lacking some brains!I am an American muslim and very proud and a loser like DEBBIE only makes me stand prouder!!

rock on August 23, 2011 at 1:33 am

Thanks for the ‘heads up’ debbie. I and my friends will not longer shop at whole foods.

c. Pelton on August 24, 2011 at 9:25 pm

You are a liar-

From the Anti Defamation League

“Whole Foods Market has made it unequivocally clear that it has not and will not engage in boycotts against the state of Israel,” said Abraham H. Foxman, ADL National Director. “In fact they continue to carry a number of Israeli products, and have assured us that they do so with pride.”

James on August 28, 2011 at 12:07 pm

I think people are missing the point here. It’s not anti-Islam speech. It’ anti putting money in the pockets of proven terrorist organizations like HAMAS and hezbollah. Go and celebrate any holiday you want, I don’t care, but I certainly will not frequent a business that supports terrorism against Israel and Jews around the world. Besides, Earth Fare has a better selection of food.

NC on September 6, 2011 at 10:36 am

    NC

Very well said. Thank you. Also MOM has better selection than Whole Foods, (Btw it’s so whole foods, a lot of so called whole foods, are even organic).

N: Do not shop at Whole Foods, which dumped Israeli olive oil in favor of pan-terrorist Palestinian olive oil, etc. DS

Nomi on August 14, 2014 at 3:43 pm

must you promote racism? what if whole foods decided they didn’t want to promote uninformed less intelligent blonde women like you? do you run away from black doctors? will you not let a Jewish person deliver your mail? will you discriminate against a brown haired man from doing your dry cleaning (although since you think you are prefect do you just pass wind and consider your clothes steam cleaned)? can a Hispanic even be allowed to sit next to you or will you vomit in repulsion? Jews and Muslims are friends too, get over this anti-whatever nonsense you are spouting. did you type it with your feet? there is no room for i tollerant filth like this blog. freedom of speech is great. but freedom of brain is so much more important. hate breeds hate. i hope you won’t breed any in to future spawn. get a life lady. also get a better stylist and eat more fiber because you looked constipated.

Go to fucking hell, stupid ugly whore.
You don’t deserve to be refuted using facts.
You repudiate truth with your “statistics” and “articles”.
Your idiocy is disgusting.
Your stupidity is rampant not only in this article, but all your other articles as well.

See what I did there?
I used your own name-calling, generalizations, and ugliness against you.
