If John Edwards Runs for Prez Again . . .

By Debbie Schlussel
. . . This should be the theme song of the Edwards campaign. After all, while the mainstream media won’t cover it, I clearly think a man who was a U.S. Senator, ran for President, was the Veep nominee for a major political party, remains a major political figure (in the press’ eyes), claims he’s for the downtrodden, and whose wife has cancer, having another kid he has little to do with, is very much news. Don’t you? If there were an R after his name, it surely would be.

My father left, he never even married Mom.

Great video! LMAO. What a great guy this pres hopeful. Wife is dying and he has the inner strength to persevere and keep campaigning, as well as poking this skank!
Great pic of both as well. He looks like a smiling rat with all those upper teeth showing.
She looks like somebody just called her a whore. Appropriate.

Clearly, as Edwards himself has said, there are two Americas.

Wow Debbie, regardless of all the application this has to Kerry and his ways, I was taken by this video. I generally, no totally– cannot stand Diana Ross–the mere thought of her and her arrogance plus being such a bi—, it really makes me gag.
However when I watched and listened to this video, I thought that this is a clear example of why she rose so fast to super-stardom. You can feel that guilt and shame of being a love child right through this song. She is amazingly good on this–one almost wonders if she had to live that out in real life.
It’s a sad thing today that as a society we are afraid to even have a standard that ever causes anyone to admit guilt and shame anymore. Rather, we excuse, justify and then end up paying for the very thing we want say is “just the way it is”–kids born without 2 real parents.
Perhaps this is not why you posted this one, but that is how it strikes me. A little blushing and a restoration of guilt over sin would do this country a lot of good.
