A Jury of Morons: O.J. Simpson Jury Finds Its White Counterpart

By Debbie Schlussel

O.J. Simpson is having a half-chuckle with his new boyfriend somewhere in prison.  Because of a verdict today by twelve brainless soulmates of his jurors, his White counterpart with a vagina is gonna walk free.

Two of a Kind w/ Two Equally Moronic Juries

O.J. had gloves that “didn’t fit” (or so he pretended), and she had a wet t-shirt and tattoos that fit all too well, along with choroform searches, a smell-of-death car trunk, etc. And, don’t worry, we won’t hear her telling us about her quest to “find the real killers,” as O.J. used to do with a wink and a nod on golf courses across America. But maybe she can get gigs as a stripper. Watch Casey’s KILLER body straddle the pole, headlining at the DollHouse.

As you’ll note, I’ve never before written about the Casey Anthony trial on this site.  The national fascination with it sickens me.  A trashy, slutty mother murdering her kid isn’t a new or remarkable thing.  It’s happened before.  It’ll happen again.  The only thing remarkable here is the moronic jury that acquitted this uber-skank of murder.  To me, it was sickening that, yesterday, instead of celebrating our nation’s 235th birthday, this jury of anti-Einsteins chose to keep hearing the case.  That told me enough about which way they were headed. This was a jury not concerned with morals, with decorum, with rules. They were only concerned with themselves and wanting to get finished with the case. Hey, just like Casey Anthony. That’s what liberals–and morons–do. Here were my tweets from Twitter (follow me on Twitter), yesterday on the matter. The second one was a “Top Tweet” on Twitter.

It was even more sickening that I could not get away from this trial, and I don’t even have cable.  It was in my newspaper, on broadcast TV, at the gym on cable, on the radio.  Wow, America is a sad country, that this is the most important thing in your lives, people.  And by people, I don’t mean those who read this site.  You have a higher than average IQ.  Sadly, America sets the bar low on even that, these days.   As I was at the gym, yesterday, I saw FOX News spend hours and hours on the trial, and very little on covering America’s Independence.  So much for you dummies out there who actually thing FOX News is a “conservative” news channel.  Puh-leeze.  It’s  a salacious tabloid network.  And the National Enquirer could do it better.  Does do it better.

That the jury–and I’ll bet most of ’em voted for Obama . . . if they even voted–acquitted this woman, despite lie after lie and obvious implication after obvious implication that she did it, tells me that the O.J. Simpson jury has found its White counterpart.  Yes, there were two Black people on the Anthony jury of morons and imbeciles, but most of the jurors were White.  And they are idiots.  And yes, the O.J. Simpson jury was clearly racist.  They knew Simpson was guilty but they acquitted him of murder to “get Whitey.”  So what’s the Casey Anthony jurors’ excuse?  Just that they’re idiots, apparently.  Here’s a tip:  beyond a reasonable doubt involves reason and what is reasonable.  It’s not “beyond ANY doubt.”  It’s not, well, she might’ve done it, but I doubt it because her lawyer made up stories about her father being a child molester, her mother lied for her about looking up chloroform, it’s no big deal that the trunk stunk like a dead body, that the body had duct tape, and that she waited 30 days and partied like it’s 2009, until she went to the police . . . but I can still find a way to believe her changing stories and character assassination of her lying (lying for her) family.

It’s funny to hear phony conservatives (who are really liberals but echo conservative talking points for the moolah) like Sean Hannity say that “the burden wasn’t met,” and he doesn’t believe she did it.  Hilarious.  This liberal has tried how many criminal cases?  He graduated from which law school?  Oh, yeah, he didn’t even graduate from college.  But he has a law degree and a Bar membership from the University of I-Defrauded-Gullible-Fans-at-the-Freedom-Concerts Law School.

I’ve successfully defended criminal cases, and the prosecutors in this case were terrific. They could not account for a jury that eagerly bought blatant lies and fairy tales. I don’t know how the prosecutors could have met the burden more.  They did every single thing they could do.  But I guess if a murderess lets her kid’s body rot long enough, she gets a free pass because of decomposition of the body.  We are rewarding someone who repeatedly lied, who defamed her own father, who carried on her life like a piece of garbage. What she and her defense did to her father is outrageous. Completely unforgivable. But her sad excuse for a mother lied for her on the stand, openly, as a reward for murdering her grandchild and dragging her husband into the sewer that is Casey Anthony’s life.

As I’ve said to friends who were glued to the set over this trial, it’s about liberals and rewarding them.  It’s about permissive, liberal parents–the Anthonys who obviously spoiled their kid rotten, raised her to be a skank who slept around and wasn’t mom material, then mortgaged everything for her, including their reputations.  Their poor parenting created a skank, a single mother, and then a murder. Then, the mother lied on the stand for her.  The father sat there as he was called a child molester.  This is what liberals do to people who report and catch Islamic terrorists, like when the Fort Dix Six were caught by a clerk at a retail store.  Within days, liberals–liberal media and liberal lawyers–were looking for dirt on him, even though the dirt had nothing to do with anything.  It’s also about liberal, selfish kids, who have no morals.  She murdered, she lied, she did whatever it took to get back her partying life.  The only reason she had a daughter in the first place is because she slept around, including with some transient from a moving company in Tennessee, who was visiting Orlando.  This is the wet t-shirt contest life.  It’s what liberal parents beget. . . and how liberal kids behave.  Anything goes.  The ends always justify the means.

And since this is the state of affairs with so many Americans today–not possessing even the most basic morals or human decency–I wonder how many on this jury of airheads feel the same way and conduct their lives accordingly.  More than a couple of them, I’ll bet you.

You have to have some standard of what you will and won’t believe.  And this jury just shows the famous estimation on the birth rate of suckers was conservative.  Clearly, more than one sucker is born every minute.  And twelve of them just sprang Casey Anthony, today.  (One of them, a supermarket cook, said she’s a fan of TV legal dramas.  So like most of these idiots, she expected this to be as clear cut as “Law and Order” or “CSI”?  Probably. Just one of the twelve nitwits.)

Remember, if O.J. Simpson hadn’t stolen memorabilia years after his murder acquittal, he’d still be roaming the streets, too.  Now, he has an alter ego . . . who loves wet t-shirt contests, tattoos, and being a shot girl.

And thanks to this jury of twelve she has plenty of time to continue engaging in this tawdry stuff.

I can just hear the late Johnnie Cochran snorting from hell:  “If the wet t-shirt does fit, you must acquit.”

Forget “Twelve Angry Men.”  It seems that in America, more often than not today, there are just Twelve Obtuse Dumbasses.

You said it Debbie. The defense’s “story” is one of the most stupid things that I have ever heard. Your kid drowned in the pool…..ok, you wouldn’t try to resuscitate her and call 911 ??? Then your Dad, an ex-COP supposedly takes his granddaughter’s body (who everyone said he loved like his own kid) and then desecrated her body to make it look like a MURDER ??

Even if in some parallel universe this was actually true, weren’t they guilty of at least manslaughter ???

This must be one of the dumbest juries EVER !!!

jimmyPx on July 5, 2011 at 6:33 pm

    DS.

    You are right

I live in Florida and this case has been in the local (State)news for the last 3 years. This is a result of decades of moral and intellectual decay carefully orchestrated by both the mainstream media and the so-called “entertainment” industry in addition to a poor public education system. An individual’s actions mean nothing, consequences mean nothing, personnal responsibity for one’s conduct means nothing in our society. As for the public spectators who followed this trial on a daily basis, it’s sad to see people so obsessed and fascinated with what ammounts to a show trial. I’ll pose one question, if she is innocent, who killed the young girl?

Pete on July 5, 2011 at 7:31 pm

I don’t have cable, I don’t read a newspaper and I just didn’t care. I only learned about it here. One of the advantages of living out in the boondocks is you don’t have to be exposed to mindless trashy chatter. If someone had asked me a couple hours ago who Casey Anthony was, I would have said, “Casey Anthony, who?” And since I am nearly deaf, its a blessing I can’t hear people talk about their stupid obsession with a murdering skank. Its already forgotten. They’re moving on now to another summertime obsession.

The prosecution messed up and bad! Where was Murder 2?
We remain a Nation of LAW, not of PEOPLE.
Was the law upheld? Probably.
Was justice served? In no way shape or form!

Todd Loehr on July 5, 2011 at 6:34 pm

Todd, I am sorry, but I have to say you are WRONG. It was not the prosecution that failed. It was the jury.

Don’t fall for the line that the prosecution dropped the ball. Think for yourself and use your critical thinking. PLEASE!!!

    It was the jury.

They couldn’t find their own arse-holes with a map and a flash light.

THAT is where the trouble was. Get used to it. It has come on like a bastard in America.

You had to work EXTRA HARD to dumb yourself down to believe anything from the DEFENSE. They sold bullsh and they retarded jury bought it.

Caylee Anthony never exsisted. Poof she’s gone and she was just a bag of crap to be thrown in the Florida woods.

Skunky on July 5, 2011 at 6:43 pm

Some of this does lie upon the prosecution since they, too, had a say in the jury make-up. A little more due diligence should have been used when screening the potential jurors.

pats on July 6, 2011 at 7:42 am

Thank goodness. I knew DS would be the voice of reason on this miscarriage of justice. And because I am a regular here and have learned so much from DS on legal matters (one of her many expertices) AS WELL AS witnessing (under protest!) the dumbing-down-of-America, I have now lost all hope in the American juror system. Today was the death-blow for me.

To me, this case was important (however, I followed it more 3 years ago) because it speaks of single motherhood and all the BAD that comes from it and a subject that is super-serious for me and I have taken a lot of time to study and understand. SOCIOPATHY.

This murderous skank from hell is one of the most slippery and cunning sociopaths I have seen florish in a long time. If you don’t understand sociopaths and what they are all about and what they lack, get to some autodidactic book cracking. They affect YOU, me and everyone alive. And they are monsters among us. Don’t poo-poo it. 1 in 24 people ARE sociopaths and they don’t have a conscious, empathy or even the capacity to feel guilt EVER. And they play to win.

Oh, and DON’T expect a college course to teach you about this fascinating but abominable affliction…too PC and too liberal to get into the nitty-gritty of sociopathy. Hell, I know some clinicians who KNOW when they are dealing with sociopaths but CANNOT plainly state their clients are. And every free sociopath equals victims (not necessarily dead ones) all over the place.

Yeah, so I am so stunned, shocked and saddened by this most stupid and tin-eared verdict since OJ Simpson. I was afraid of this but NEVER thought it would happen.

This society is pitch. It is filth. And we will all be lessened by it. What a disgrace.

And children don’t matter for SH** in America today. I really understood that with the prom-mom 10 years ago. Know it has been punctuated for me. What a disgrace!

Skunky on July 5, 2011 at 6:35 pm

Bingo Skunky !! What is really frightening is that most of these sociopaths come from wealthier families. Psychopaths not sociopaths are created out of abuse. Spoiling your kids rotten and never teaching them personal responsibility or empathy breeds a sociopath. The worst part is the sociopaths naturally gravitate to upper management in large corporations and the government. This in my mind is a HUGE reason why our country is in the state we are in.

jimmyPx on July 5, 2011 at 8:41 pm

Thank you Jimmy. I am glad you are thinking about sociopaths/psychopaths and what they mean for society. It’s serious stuff.

And because of a retarded jury, they have just set a very good (and young!) sociopath free. She will have many, many victims to get to in her freedom. And I am not talking about dead ones, either. But there could be.

Sociopathology is a serious problem. And it has so much in common with Moooooooslims. No one wants to believe their motives (and records) are real and they come from the same, dark place.

Both are about destruction at ALL COSTS…with each (respectively) winning. And the scariest thing about them both is that people DON’T want to believe the TRUTH about either of them.

Skunky on July 5, 2011 at 9:05 pm

And, of course, you’ve done an in-depth study of all this–right Jimmy?

shegundala on July 6, 2011 at 10:44 am

I admit I was pulled in by the case. I can defend it, too. Look, this is a look at where our system is. I certainly think wanting to watch the progress of this case is far more defensible than spending hours watching the mindless TV shows that pass for entertainment.

Otherwise, I agree with this post. The prosecution demonstrated a serious of facts for which there really is no other reasonable explanation than first-degree murder. Too many people, though, seemed to have either bought into the myth of CSI or the more pernicious liberal myth of non-judgement, and almost every jury seems to be made up of these fools.

Polichinello on July 5, 2011 at 6:38 pm

Did the idiots fall for her pouty lip, sad puppy eye look?
It obviously worked on her parents. So what if she’s a murdering scumbag. Wouldn’t want your wittle pwincess to wot in jail would you?

Is being a totally gullible mindless idiot the prerequisite for serving on a jury? Totally digusting!

Is being a totally gullible mindless idiot the prerequisite for serving on a jury?

It sure seems like it these days.

Polichinello on July 5, 2011 at 6:43 pm

DS, THANK YOU for a fabulous post. I was at the gym when the verdict was read and was shocked.

I skimmed the first part BEFORE my two previous posts and I have just completed reading your whole post (I am so passionate about what this bad verdict means). BRAVO! It feels so comforting to know that there is someone like you out there who gets it. PERFECT!!!!

If I were not so angry I’d have tears in my eyes because you get it and say it so well. It’s not so lonely when someone like you tells it like it is. Danke. (Thank you!)

Skunky on July 5, 2011 at 6:55 pm

The jury system we have is terrible. It’s way too easy for lawyers to manipulate the makeup of a jury and stack it with dunces, racists who are trying to settle a score, misfits, and other dregs who are unfit for the job. At the very least jurors should be given a IQ test before being able to serve and be required to show that they have an IQ above moron (I believe moron IQ tops out at 70) to be eligible. What a disgrace this verdict is.

Jeff on July 5, 2011 at 7:07 pm

Unreal this subhuman is free after such a circus trial. Unreal. This is why I refuse to watch these circus trials.

samurai on July 5, 2011 at 7:11 pm

I think that if this man was a white guy he would have been found guilty on all accounts. I have a noticed a trend where women tend to find more sympathetic jurors even if the crime the woman commits is henious. I think this is another example of people believing the “…but she is really a good mom” routine when it comes to giving a jury verdict.

Mario on July 5, 2011 at 7:13 pm

One thing that you have to remember is that the mother did not have to indicate how the child died. If the cops want to prosecute her, then it is there job to figure out how the crime occurred, you don’t have to give them another scenerio. The mother is clearly an airhead, in fact, the whole family is likely nuts. But that does not mean that anyone of them intentionally killed the kid. Likely what occurred was that the mother got high and allowed the child to drown in the pool. That is horrible. But it does not deserve the death penalty and nothing is solved by the mother sitting in jail for a few decades. Something really bad happened and the prosecution did not have a case from day one. This should never have gone to trial in the way it did.

david7134 on July 5, 2011 at 7:30 pm

A negligent drowning is at least manslaughter. When you take a human life, whether its accidental or by design, there is no undoing what happened. A society that fails to punish killers is a society for whom justice isn’t the highest value.

NormanF on July 5, 2011 at 7:54 pm

If Casey Anthony didn’t murder her daughter, Kaylee, then Kaylee is alive. ( Paraphrasing Shakespeare)

lee on July 5, 2011 at 7:38 pm

I guess if you are a D-List celebrity, a little girl’s death counts for nothing.

There must be an unwritten rule the famous are exempt from doing hard time for the first crime. I think Johnny Cochran would have liked it.

It certainly fits in with people being so mesmerized by someone’s fame that they forget they are mortal, too.

NormanF on July 5, 2011 at 7:50 pm

People like her… they eventually get what they really deserve. In the end G-d has the last laugh.

The idiots who acquitted her thought it wasn’t reasonable doubt. I don’t buy it but they have heard it differently from the rest of us. Anyway, it doesn’t mean Casey Anthony is innocent. It just means she was smart enough this time not to go to prison.

And she shouldn’t be full of it. As the old, true and trite wisdom has it, “pride goeth before a fall.”

Someday she’ll really mess up and there’ll be no second chance!

NormanF on July 5, 2011 at 7:46 pm

So Hannity doesn’t think she did it? Maybe they want her to become a legal commentator on Fox. Would she do any worse than the clowns they have now?

I think this spectacle is even worse than the Princess Di soap opera. They’re still talking about this on TV. A lousy murder trial for Pete’s sake. If they can make one murder trial into a prolonged soap opera, then consider the multitude of crimes committed in this country. An endless universe of soap operas.

Little Al on July 5, 2011 at 8:05 pm

It takes so little too fool people. Her own father, in my personal opinion, doesn’t deserve any one’s respect. He is the one who should not ever be forgiven. What she did was outrageous and I’m not defending her but I would think that if you’re a parent, you wouldn’t put up with that from your own child. There is a red line you don’t allow your children to cross. If you do, you’re not a husband, you’re not a father and you are certainly not a man. And it showed up in the trial’s outcome.

NormanF on July 5, 2011 at 8:15 pm

It is pretty abominable. The defense could in no way demonstrate that Casey Anthony had any credibility whatsoever. So, we hear about child molestations allegedly perpetrated by her brother and father upon her person. What this really has to do with Casey’s disappearance and death is not really made clear. We are also treated to the spectacle of an alleged mistress of Mr. Anthony’s. Of course, it is never clear why this is in any way was relevant to Caylee’s disappearance and death. I would fault the trial court judge for allowing such unsubstantiated garbage to be introduced into a murder trial. That jury has spit upon the grave of a dead little girl and allowed a thug to essentially walk off with a wrist slap. Obviously, that jury was more intent, as Debbie noted, to get things over with than to actually behave responsibly. Finally, won’t it be cool when Casey has another kid or kids. She is still quite young and has many years of skanking ahead of her, and she is obviously not too careful with birth control.

worry01 on July 5, 2011 at 8:23 pm

I have to differ with Debbie and Worry – and Worry, you have distilled by your insight as to why she was acquitted into an Occam’s Razor: Her lawyers turned her into a victim and the jury bought it. Its a parsimonious explanation. It all fits perfectly.

Of course Kaylee was the real victim, but that didn’t matter. Somehow the prosecution allowed the trial to be about Casey’s being victimized as a child than keeping the focus where it belonged: her guilt in murdering her own daughter. Debbie is right, they put all the facts together and they demonstrated that well but they failed to destroy her credibility. A good prosecution team should have been able to do that in their sleep.

And justice wasn’t served with the verdict.

NormanF on July 5, 2011 at 8:37 pm

I would agree with you. Also, I would say that the prosecution probably overdid its introduction of evidence. Quantity does not always trump quality when putting forward a case. I have no idea what the rules of evidence are for The State of Florida, but they most certainly need to be tightened. Random or fanciful speculations untethered to any facts or reasonable assumptions should be quashed by a judge whether they are introduced either by the defense or prosecution. Such obfuscations and innuendos represent raw sewage being introduced into the streams of justice, and if allowed to go unchecked will befoul and clog a court and judicial system. Finally, I would say that the prosecution probably erred in seeking the death penalty in this case, since it really upped the ante and allowed the defense more latitude than it would have had in a non-capital case. A very long sentence of 20+ years would have been infinitely preferable to this result, since it would have forestalled Casey Anthony from having any more children and served as a sufficient deterrent to others.

    Worry01 on July 6, 2011 at 8:27 am

Bottom line is that the SAO did not prove beyond a reasonable doubt that she killed her daughter.

The state prosecutors failed.

Stephen on July 5, 2011 at 8:42 pm

Amazing synopsis on not just the case, but also the decaying fabric of our culture which set the scene for it and the outcomes.

I am a little choked up with sadness after reading it: sadness for the rotting corpse of our once-great nation as well as the implicit sadness for the little girl who was murdered.

Brilliant, brilliant writing, Debbie.

Worry01, I also loved your post. I agree. Good on ya.

People who think they are so bloody smart (like Vannity and plastic surgery disaster AFTER photo Wendy Murphy) have left their common sense at the door. To know what the hell happened, one does NOT need a huge brain to put 2 and 2 together.

Mental gymnastics will NEVER take the place of the truth. EVER!

Skunky on July 5, 2011 at 9:17 pm

Between being an official court reporter – military and civilian – and an attorney practicing criminal defense, I’ve spent over 30 years working in courts. Without having sat through all of the trial, the pretrial hearings, the arguments and the charge to the jury by the judge, there is no possible way to argue – factually and based on reason – whether the jury verdict was proper or whether the prosecutors did their jobs well or poorly. Period. All others who comment – that is, those who weren’t there and didn’t hear all of the case – are expressing their disagreement with the verdict because their opinion is that the mother killed her daughter in this case. Likewise, the folks who express the opposite view are doing the same thing, except their opinions are that she didn’t kill her daughter. Interesting to read, but not informative and not based upon facts, upon having heard and watched the case being tried. Both sides are wrong about the case, but are certainly free to express their opinions. “Oh, I watched it on TV!” The next time that any TV station or network fully and completely reports a criminal trial will be the first time in human history. If you were not there, you cannot have an opinion based upon the evidence; you’re only expressing your agreement or disagreement with it, based on your impressions and emotions.

Ike on July 5, 2011 at 9:26 pm

Debbie this wasn’t nearly as bad a decision as with OJ. That was in a whole different universe of jury racial nullification. And don’t worry, if you ever find yourself in a wet t-shirt contest with CA just text me and I will be there with a bucket of really cold water to douse you with.

A1 on July 5, 2011 at 9:35 pm

Right on, Debbie!

I’m sitting here right now listening to that bozo Pawn Hannity. I think he’s even lower than Casey Anthony. That idiot Pawn thinks the verdict is a great day for America!!!

Forget you Faux News and forget you most especially Pawn Hannity, you scumbag.

The one and only peace I get from this case is that little angel is in Heaven with The Father.

Jeff_W on July 5, 2011 at 9:39 pm

A1:

The OJ Simpson jury did not engage in nullification. (Well at least not all of them did. The fellow who gave Simpson a “black power” salute after the verdict was read probably did.) Instead, it was a combination of factors … some jury members felt that the prosecution did a terrible job and didn’t prove its case (the view of Greta Van Susteren and many others) thanks to Marcia Clark’s deciding to do a Cal-Berkeley gender studies seminar on domestic violence as opposed to actually trying a murder case, and others felt that the L.A.P.D. tampered with the evidence (please recall that these folks come from a community that REALLY distrusts the police … and please no double standards, as I see rants on here against police and prosecutors all the time, such as the Dominique Strauss-Kahn thread a few links down the page).

What a lot of people forget is that the O.J. jury WAS NOT all black. There were Hispanics and Asians on the jury. As a matter of fact, it was a high-income Asian male juror who very articulately stated in media interviews after the trial why he felt that the prosecution bungled the case and left reasonable doubt. That is why folks who claim “racial jury nullification” are off base, because had that been so, the presence of Hispanics and Asians would have resulted in a hung jury.

The same thing with the Rodney King verdict. Despite what is commonly believed, it WAS NOT an all white jury. There were Hispanics (and if I am correct also Asians) on that jury as well. The Rodney King jury wasn’t as forthcoming as the Simpson jury, regrettably, but I do remember one elderly Hispanic female who addressed the media (on Nightline), sobbing and stating that as much as she sympathized with Rodney King and his supporters (meaning that this woman was no anti-black racist), based on the evidence presented and the instructions the judge gave the jury, they had no choice but to acquit.

We really have to stop trying to find racism under every stone, or blame racism whenever we don’t get an outcome that we like. After all, what is the racial angle on this verdict? What was the racial angle when William Kennedy Smith beat that rape charge in 1991, or when Claus von Bulow got off? Or when Ray Lewis got off (another instance of prosecutors’ badly handling a case)? It may simply be that highly publicized, sensationalized cases tend to result in acquittals for whatever reason. The O.J. jury was not all black, the Rodney King jury was not all white. I really do think that race and racism are much less a factor in this country than everybody supposes, and that the media and the politicians (on both sides, conservative and liberal) make things appear a lot worse than they are.

Gerald on July 5, 2011 at 10:00 pm

There was no prof – no proof! The bulldyke women lawyers/yapping heads wouldn’t shut their ignorant mouths before and after the verdict that was obvious to everyone with an unbiased mind.

You don’t give someone the death penalty when you dont even know what the cause of death is and no proof the one charged did it except in a lifetime leach off the taxpayers teat prosecutor Ashton who dreamt up some fantasy in his mind. Juror #5 refused to even look at him in the eye in his final statement. Laughing at Baez like a classless idiot, even a spectator gave him the finger. Dont you think other jurors felt the same as them? Death penalty should not have been used in this case.

“Ticker55” was the amount of time (55 days) the murderous skank knew she had to try to pull the wool over her stoopid mother’s eyes about Caylee’s absense…from June 16th ’til her birthday in August (Caylee’s). The sociopathic skank with the “bella vita” tattoo (obtained AFTER Caylee was dead) knew she could stonewall Mama but ONLY ’til the little one’s 3rd birthday.

Or you can simply re-read AND I MEAN READ DS’ total post. She said it all and puts all you dopey doubters to SHAME!

I’m still just shaking my head watching the idiots on Faux News. Even though I’m not a fan of his, O’Reilly is the only one acting with common sense.

Pawn Vannity almost acts llke he has a major crush on Casey Anthony and acts like he wants to lead a parade in her honor.

Of course that dolt Geraldo Rivera thinks it’s a great thing, too.

I can understand someone thinking the case wasn’t proved, but to act like it’s a great thing?

Well, that’s it for me talking about this. My belief and hope is the tramp Anthony will be such a horrific figure that few will want to be seen with her.

Forget this, forget Faux News, and doubly forget that creep Pawn Vannity.

Jeff_W on July 5, 2011 at 11:32 pm

The burden is on the prosecution to make their case. They failed and like Marcia Clark failed in the OJ case, I mean c’mon whose idea was it to have him try on the gloves? I mean, well duh Cochran just ran circles around her. Prosecutors should not get too arrogant when it comes to these cases, after all the defendants are innocent until PROVEN guilty.

col on July 5, 2011 at 11:43 pm

For someone who spent 30 years in the court system and know the ins and outs of it, I say Ike’s comment is credible and valid. There are always two different sides to the story. I believe Casey did murdered her daughter but the intelligence of the jury in Casey’s trial left much room to be desired.

Gman213 on July 6, 2011 at 12:45 am

A jury that is dumb enough to let a guilty person go free will also punish the innocent.

ari-free on July 6, 2011 at 3:22 am

No, perhaps the OJ result may not have been 100% explained by nullification. There was also an element of dumbing down (an almost constant presence in complex cases), identification with the aggressor, and visceral distrust of authority (also present most of the time — witness the first Blago trial, Martha Stewart, etc.).

When a jury viscerally wants to reach a certain verdict it will decide on the verdict, and, once this is done, try its best to derive a rationalization or pseudo-rationalization for the verdict. The fact that in the OJ trial the prosecution did some silly things was not determinative; it simply made the ‘justification’ easier. Does anyone think OJ would have walked if the jury had been mostly white? We all remember the racial divide in this country in the mid-90s about whether OJ should have been judged guilty.

And, what a surprise that judges are affected by these fators as well. What a shock that judges can be affected by PC. I always thought that court decisions, especially, but not limited to the 9th Circuit were completely fair and objective. Given the PC bias of major court decisions in general, is it a surprise that this bias would carry through sometimes to jury instructions?

The bias, and desire of the bench to sway with the winds that promotes gay marriage, civil unions, illegal immigration, etc. certainly extends to jury instructions sometimes. We all learned in school how the Supreme Court follows politics; the historical 5-4 divides are another example.

This is about one jury in Florida (12 people). It had nothing to do with the moral fabric of America or anything like that.

Forget you Ike and your lemmings who think nobody can comment because we aren’t legal experts. Naturally you are a defense attorney.

That’s what bugs me about this more than anything. It’s all you “The system worked!” goofs who is acting like we should be celebrating this travesty.

As I stated previously, I can understand someone saying the case wasn’t proved. But, to act like this is some great victory for America and the legal system?

And for the “You don’t know, you weren’t there and you’re not a legal expert” jerks, here is all I need to know:

A child went missing for 31 days, the mother didn’t even report it and partied it up, her car had a death smell, the child is dead.

If you can’t understand those very, very simple facts, you are a blithering idiot who is determined not to let the facts get in the way.

Bully for you, Jeff W. YOU GET IT.

And Ike (my post that got deleted was for you and not for the crazed Jameela writing as another Ike), this is America (still) and we are still able to have and voice an opinion. We do NOT have to be on the jury to put 2 and 2 together. This is NOT a communist country….YET!

From the get-go this case was a slam-dunker…but for the more and more moronic type of juries out there.

And as I previously stated, this case is important for me because our juries are getting more and more stupid, single motherhood is destroying the social fabric of America and most passionately for me, sociopathy and the LACK of understanding of these monsters are all about is a HUGE problem for this country (and others, too). But then again, so is Islam, but most still have their head in the sand about that. Photo and negative.

All you lemming followers make me sick. I am proud to be with Jeff W!

RE-READ DS’ POST!!!!! It is so spot on an ALL branches it touches!

Both you and Jeff W misunderstand the point of my post. Of course you are entitled to your opinions and fully entitled to express them. The point of my post is that without knowing what the actual evidence was, your posts – and all the rest made by folks who didn’t hear the evidence – are necessarily based upon emotion and pre-judgement based upon the slivers of supposed evidence released in the public media. Therefore, while you most certainly entitled to your opinions and likewise entitled to express them, they are based upon ignorance of the facts of the case and therefore are unworthy of belief. Keep in mind, I am as entitled to my opinions as are you and everyone else and just as entitled to express them. And, whether you like it or not or agree or not, it is my considered opinion – based upon my training, experience and education – that your opinions are wrong. That’s the point of my post, not an attack upon your rights to have and express any opinion on any topic.

her lying father a former cop had something big to do with this. the jurors quickly decided as baez repeatedly told them the cops did not do a thorough or prompt investigation and made up their mind and that was it! well the cops were rejected – how many incidents do you need of crooked or incompetant police? duke rape hoax, strauss-kahn, whitey bolgers fbi protectors, these cops and the prosecuter even praising the liar george anthony during the trial as casey anthony shook her head in anger. that prosecuter quit the job right after having his pitiful job shoved up his behind by the jury who obviously saw what i and others saw a lying grey haired fraud sucking off the taxpayers teat his whole legal career because he was too stupid to start a practice. stupid to bring death charges with no proof hoping for a conviction.

george anthony the loving father stormed out of there in anger as verdict was read. as fox psychiatrist ablow said all week “what bothers me is not only his obvious lies, but his suicide note/attempt. never in my long practice did i ever hear of a grandfater wanting to committ suicide on hearing of the death of a grandchild. but i have heard of murderers trying to and committing suicide.”

this ain’t over for the former cop no one knows anything about. his demeanor yesterday shows he knows casey will drop the other shoe on him very soon. and it wil;l shut up botox judge pirro and nancy grace 2 a-holes who are making a laughing stock of american tv.

Bill C. on July 6, 2011 at 9:00 am

While I am not willing to agree with you on her father, I will admit I have had some thought in that direction. I believe that the grandparents loved that little girl with all their heart. I also think the true story is that Casey is so messed up she took them from her grandparents and the prosecution should have went in that direction… but I digress, I am not a lawyer. Where I do agree with you in some respect is based on a very personal story in our life. My niece was killed in a car accident in 2004, she left a husband (who was driving) and two beautiful little girls who thankfully have the love of family and are doing well… They were driving home from a wedding when a 16 year old boy ran a red light at the same time they were going through the green. The boys grandfather, father, and brother were police officers in the same city where the accident occurred. The boys grandmother worked at the police station and they were all called to the scene. My niece had no family at the scene when she died and her husband was in critical condition. The police called the judge for a blood test of my nephew, apparently trying to prove he was drinking, even though it was not his fault. He was not drinking, and was not conscience for the testing. The cops stuck together and while I will not fill you in with the nasty details of the stupid trial, nothing happened to the boy, he was considered a minor .. He only lost his license for a very few months. The cops hired some unbelievable lawyers.. They tried everything to hinder everything… So, I question why the cops never came to check for the little girl’s skull until months later… and daddy was a cop… so I don’t know. I respect law enforcement tremendously, but based on my own experience the questions are there.

sharon on July 6, 2011 at 9:45 am

I want to add one more thing BillC.. At the trial, when the police officer at the scene was asked why the boy was not tested for drugs or alcohol, the officer responded that they can assess the situation at the scene and determine based on actions weather or not someone should be tested. The boy did not show signs of drinking or drugs. My nephews lawyer followed with asking why the blood of an unconscious man in critical condition was summoned to drug testing when he had no “sign” visible of drugs or alcohol? When he clearly had the right of way with the green light? There were also witnesses that stated the boy did not have his lights on… and still… we lost.

WTP on July 6, 2011 at 10:30 am

I didn’t follow CA’s trial. In fact, without cable TV, I was blissfully unaware of it. I did, however, follow the OJ trial, at the request of my boss, a lawyer. He wanted me to view the system in action.

I noticed that the police botched their evidence by doing stupid things like leaving a blood sample in a handbag for days. By the time it arrived at the lab for testing, it was spoiled; the results were skewed, at best.

From what I read now of CA’s case, it seems that the police were not able to pinpoint the exact cause of death. That makes it hard to pin down a murder conviction.

Nevertheless, it’s quite clear that Casey Anthony knew her child was not around – either dead or missing – and lied about it, so that she could party. If she knew her child was dead, she should have reported it. Accidents do happen, and if she had reported it, it probably would have been judged an accident. If she did not know her baby was dead, but only missing, she should have reported that, too. What kind of woman doesn’t report a missing child? And two-years-old, yet? That baby was completely dependent on her family for survival, so even if she had just wandered off, without some aid, she’d be dead, anyway. And her mother didn’t report it? Didn’t call for help to find her? Heinous!

Look, people, if you don’t want your babies, then give them to Child Protective Services, so they can find a home for them. Lots of people want to adopt, and if there are enough babies to adopt, they’ll drop some of those ridiculous rules that keep people from adopting (like you have to be young, and can’t have any health problems). To those young girls who hide their pregnancies, and don’t want anyone to know they gave birth, place the child on the steps of a church, or something. You can keep your anonymity, and still get a home for your child. That’s what responsible people do, who can’t handle the full responsibility of raising the child, themselves.

Michelle on July 6, 2011 at 11:18 am

And please, folks, before you start defending the draconian restrictions on adoption, saying that parents need to be young and healthy in order to adopt, to ensure that the child will be well cared for, please remember that it’s a whole family that adopts, not just two (or in some cases one)parent. No one in my family has great health, and we wouldn’t be eligible, but we all work together, and care for each other. Any child we adopted would be cared for.

Older people who want to adopt typically have their finances in better shape than the younger people. If they run out of steam, they can hire babysitters, or call in help from younger relatives.

And let us not forget that young and healthy people still drop dead, all the time. Car accidents, fires, robberies gone bad, and even undiagnosed heart conditions take people in their prime. There are no guarantees. But we know that keeping a child in the foster care system until he grows out of it is not nearly as good as placing him in a loving, if less than ideal, home.

Casey should have given her child to someone who wanted her and would have loved and cared for her. The prom mom and others like her should have done the same.

Michelle on July 6, 2011 at 11:23 am

The defense said (during trial) that Caylee drowned and George and Casey Anthony buried the body in the Florida woods.

Yet here is an article (before trial) where the DEFENSE states that Caylee could have been chloroformed and/or sedated.

Both Anthony and Simpson are both guilty of murder. However, I do not remember Simpson’s lawyers accusing the media of character assassination of their client. Cheney Mason, one of her counsel, accused the media of assassinating Anthony’s character. Someone should ask this blowhard the following questions: (1) So, you believe that your liar of a client – who partied for a month after her daughter went missing – was actually innocent of murder? (2) Since you implied that your client was innocent, who do you believe killed Caylee? (3) did you not assassinate the character of Mr. Anthony by initially arguing that Mr. Anthony committed child abuse against his daughter and then not offering any evidence of the abuse?

Mr. Baez, the other defense counsel, is either a moron or a liar by saying there were no winners in the case. He certainly was, as were Mr. Mason and his client. Maybe Baez, the former bikini salesman, can get Anthony to model bikinis in addition to writing her book. Sadly, there is probably a market for each.

Concerned Citizen on July 6, 2011 at 2:44 pm

No offense, but did Casey Anthony offer each juror a lapdance and a blowjob if she were to get acquitted?

And as I mentioned in a previous thread about women SEALS (hint: a slight variant of what King Leonidas screamed in “300”)…

THIS IS NOT FUCKING SPARTA!

Casey should be relieved. Everyone around her should be relieved.

For if this were Sparta, the entire gene pool that spawned Casey Anthony and the johns who acquitted her would never have existed.

Too bad this ain’t Sparta.

People who generalize political parties really shouldn’t be calling anyone a moron even if it’s true.

That being said, I can’t believe that the child killer got off. It’s so freaking obvious that she is guilty. Accidental death victims don’t end up being dumped in woods with tape over their mouth.
