YAY! FREE Stuff – Get Your Free Bottle of Herbal Essences Shampoo

By Debbie Schlussel

Especially in this tough Obamaconomy, I love to tell you about free stuff.  And here’s yet another freebie.  Personally, I won’t be partaking, as I’ve bought into the myth that mass manufactured, low-priced stuff fries your hair.  But if you want a free $3.99 full-sized bottle of Herbal Essences shampoo, conditioner, or other product by the brand, go here to the brand’s Facebook page and click “like.”  (Join me on Facebook.) I also won’t do it because you have to install an application, etc.  And I get suspicious of those.  But if you want free stuff, you gotta do stuff like this because–as they say–there’s no such thing as a free lunch . . . or free shampoo.

Free Stuff, But It’ll Cost Ya a Few Minutes

I used to use Herbal Essence shampoo back in the mid-’70s. It was green and came in that bottle with the faux-wooden cap. I won’t jump through that facebook/install an app hoop, either. Not for 4 bucks, anyway.

Whoo, not with my allergies!
Plus I don’t trust all those apps.

But thanks for the heads-up!

I don’t shampoo my hair everyday of the week, I shampoo and wash my scalp every few days, because my scalp happens to be dry. But I shave my face everyday of the week, because I cannot grow hair on my face, if I grow hair on my face, it’ll start to itch and the last time I grew a beard on my face I was in high school, by my junior year in high school, I started to shave my face, because I couldn’t stand my face itching everyday of the week. As for Herbal Essence, I don’t use that type of shampoo, the type of shampoo I use is “Selsun Blue” and a “Anti-dandruff shampoo” (the product is medicated which helps for a healthy scalp) that I got from CVS pharmacy store.

LOL! You know I am of the 70’s because I still pictured the bottle to look like this…

even though I know what the last two incarnations of the bottle looked like. Can’t help it.

What is the best shampoo? I did also love “Gee, Your Hair Smells Terrific”. You can still buy it on ebay (for $20.!!!)
as they still sell it in the Phillipines.

I would be more willing to try an apparently free operating system: http://www.ubuntu.com/

It seems to be alright on an ancient laptop that struggles with anything above Windows XP.

I’m a bit fussy about the condition of my hair, so I’m picky about which hair products I use.

Recalling Debbie’s article about the owner of CHI ~ I never used CHI, although my friends said it would be great for my hair. I know this will sound weird, but when they recommended it to me about a year ago, I had never heard of it and instantly “knew” that I didn’t like it, or that it was just somehow wrong and I’d never buy it.

It made me uncomfortable everytime someone would talk about it. Then I read Debbie’s article about the terrorist connections and I felt an incredible sense of relief for listening to my inner alarm system.

When I told my friends about the owner’s connections, they were stunned and started looking for other products.

Ever since then, however, it’s made me wonder about the products I use in my home for all sorts of things, not just grooming products. I use products from Alberto-Culver/Unilever & L’oreal/Garnier for my hair. I would appreciate receiving any info about whether these companies also have terrorist connections.

Thanks so much.

Thanks for the tip Debbie. I’m one of those people who never bought into the myth of the cheaper shampoos not being good for your hair. Unless you have a specific problem all shampoos are basically the same. Thought you might find this interesting.

Incidentally I’ve been using VO5 for years and thank G-d at almost 70 still have a full head of hair.

Aw, someone didn’t get their meds today…and has free reign in the basement on the PC since Mama went to the store. I know, I know…I should feel badly about your sad life. But I don’t.

No, DS is not an idiot…the ones you follow are. Projection is a killer, ain’t it? And as far a cult followers here, again, not the type that like this site. So off the mark.

Truth is that people who LOVE the truth come here…not sycophants. How sad that you are so wrong, but Mama will be home soon with your Walgreen’s meds.

Free stuff in Iowa. Des Moines baseball says “Thank You” to the military on the eve of the 4th of July. The Iowa Cubs, the AAA affiliate of the Chicago Cubs, is offering up to 6 free tickets for Friday’s ball game to active duty military and veterans for themselves and their families. Tickets must be requested today at the Principal Park ticket office, with military or veteran ID presented.
