Jimmuh: “Condi Clueless Was OK w/HAMAS Mtg”

By Debbie Schlussel
I don’t like Jimmy “Jhimmi” Carter, but this is a story I do believe. Carter says that Condi Clueless and her chosen State Dept. deputy didn’t tell him not to meet with HAMAS and weren’t opposed to it.
I think the story is true because it jibes with Condi Clueless recent and past statements. In the last three months, she’s called HAMAS, “the Islamic resistance” at least as many times. That’s a bad Freudian slip, which we know reflects her truly feelings that the group is some sort of legitimate fighting force engaged in defense, not the murder of innocent civilians. It jibes with her constant pressuring of Israel to give up more and more for an equally anathema group, Mahmoud Abbas’ Fatah.
Here’s what Jimmuh has to say:

Condi Clueless Didn’t Object to Jimmuh’s HAMAS Confab

In an interview with USA TODAY, Carter said Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice was “mistaken” and “misinformed” about warnings she says her office gave advising him not to meet with Hamas, which the U.S. government has declared a terrorist organization. . . .
Where Rice “gets this repetitive claim that I was warned and advised not to go and urged not to go – she’s completely mistaken,” he said. “I think she’s being misinformed. I don’t think Condoleezza is deliberately lying, but the statement she’s making is false.” [DS: I do think she’s deliberately lying. Wouldn’t be the first time.]
Earlier in the day, State Department spokesman Sean McCormack said his agency stands by its statements that Carter was urged against meeting with Hamas. “We’ve been absolutely, 100% consistent in our statements from the beginning,” he said. “We stand by those statements.” [DS: Yeah, he’s paid to lie, er . . . say that.] . . .
[Carter] said he spoke for 15 minutes with Rice’s deputy. The State Department said Carter spoke with Assistant Secretary of State David Welch.
“He never said anything about ‘Don’t go to the Mideast. Don’t meet with Hamas. Don’t meet with Syria.’ He never said anything like that,” Carter said. “That was the only person in the government with whom I’ve discussed it.”

Of course, not. Why would they tell him not to meet with Syria, when they were okay with Jihad Darrell a/k/a GOP Congressman Darrell Issa meeting with Syrian leader Bashar Al-Assad?
As readers know, I despise Jimmy Carter and his anti-Israel hate, and I don’t agree with him on anything (except maybe a taste for peanuts). But, again, I don’t doubt that Jhimmi’s version is the truthful one. This is the State Department–worse, Condi Clueless’ and George Bush’s State Dept.
Bush wants to create and get credit for a “peace” deal between Israel and the Palestinians so badly that I believe he wants HAMAS in the mix (which he knows is necessary, as HAMAS represents the majority of Palestinians, not Fatah’s Abbas).

I agree, and I beieve the way is already being paved for Hamas to join the negotiations. There are articles hinting that if Hamas declares a truce on violence, maybe it can join the negotiations. The only reason I am not 100% sure that anti-Semitism is involved is that the US is appeasing nutcases all around the world, North Korea, Iran, Red China, Russia, Kosovo, etc ad naseum.
This is what happened in 1994; Carter visited No. Korea, supposedly on his own, and lo and behold an agreement was signed that enabled No. Korea to go nuclear.
The State Department verbal condemnations of Carter’s trip are similar to their verbal entreaties to the Palestinian terrorists to stop their terrorism; rhetorical, with nothing meaningful behind them.
Seeing all of this, and the PC, that in many ways is more ridiculous than anything in the 30s or 60s in this country is making me believe our civilization’s elite has lost its will to survive as an enlightened civilization.

He’s like a goofy kid that isn’t smart enough to create a lie like this. So it probably is the truth.

DS, I am going to disagree on this one. It was all over the news that this POS was not to talk to Hamas.
[P: SO? WHAT THEY SAY “ALL OVER THE NEWS” AND WHAT THEY DO PRIVATELY ARE TWO DIFFERENT THINGS. SURELY, YOU KNOW THAT. DS]

You know, I was kind of thinking that having Rice run as a vice presidential running mate was a pretty good idea. But, then, didn’t she just say that jihad would not be used by anyone in the State Department? That’s like saying you can’t say kamph when referring to Mein Kamph (my struggle) and you can’t say jihad when referring to “the struggle”. Good she took herself out of the running.

Debbie,
I realize that you do not like Miss Rice, but Dhimi Carter is suppose to be an adult. He does not need tutoring on what the U.S. law involving the making of foreign policy by private citizens is. Even if someone had sat him down and talked with him, nothing would have change. He would have still pulled a Jane Fonda.
[B: YOU MISS THE POINT OF THIS POST ENTIRELY. NO-ONE IS EXCUSING THE CARTER MEETING WITH HAMAS, WHICH WAS OUTRAGEOUS. BUT YOU SHOULD BE ANGRY WITH CONDI CLUELESS WHO WENT ALONG WITH IT PRIVATELY, WHILE PRETENDING PUBLICLY TO BE AGAINST IT. SHE HAS POWER THAT CARTER DOESN’T HAVE, AND SHE’S USING IT TO FORCE ISRAEL DOWN THE DRAIN. DS]

Thanks Debbie,
I agree with you that Condi Clueless is the liar in this situation and the recent news out of Israel confirms it. Olmert has done a back trading deal with Syria to return The Golan Heights to Syria, just as Carter returns home from his meetings with Syria and Hammas–a coincidence, I don’t think so.

Debbie:
Didn’t you report on this blog (just a short time ago) that Condi Clueless had quietly met with Hamas leaders in Cairo? I forget the exact story.
If I’m correct, I’d appreciate a link in the column above. I think it would give additional weight to your thesis.
