Peanut Farmer Prez to Fete HAMAS Leader re-Israeli Hostage: You’re Paying for the Secret Service Detail

By Debbie Schlussel
Last week, a Lebanese intelligence source of mine told me that former President Jimmy Carter was scheduled to meet with HAMAS leader Khaled Meshaal in Syria on Friday. My friend told me that Carter was trying to meet with Meshaal under the auspices of a group called “Elders,” but that the group refused to sanction such an outrageous meeting. Thus, Carter would have to meet with Meshaal under the auspices of the Carter Center and Carter Library. My friend told me that the trip would be so that Jimmy Carter could work out a “peace plan” to trade for the release of Israeli soldier Gilad Shalit, a HAMAS hostage. The deal would involve the release of thousands of HAMAS terrorists in Isreali prison for this one Israeli soldier, as usual.
And since your taxes pay for Jimmuh’s Secret Service detail, you’re subsidizing the trip.
Now, the report I received from my friend has been confirmed, except the date has changed by a week and the alleged purpose of the trip–the Shalit hostage deal–is not mentioned. On Tuesday, Arabic newspaper Al-Hayat reported the same thing:

Jimmy “Jimmuh” Carter Meets w/ HAMAS re-Israeli Hostage Gilad Shalit

The Arabic-language newspaper Al-Hayat reported Tuesday that Carter was planning a trip to Syria for mid-April, during which he would meet with Khaled Meshal, the exiled head of the Palestinian terror group Hamas, on April 18.
Deanna Congileo, Carter’s press secretary, confirmed in an e-mail to FOXNews.com that Carter will be in the Mideast in April. Pressed for comment, Congileo did not deny that the former president is considering visiting Meshal.
“President Carter is planning a trip to the Mideast next week; however, we are still confirming details of the trip and will issue a press release by the end of this week,” wrote Congileo. “I cannot confirm any specific meetings at this point in time.”

The question is: Why are American taxpayers paying for protection of this former American leader who is meeting with one of America’s sworn enemies and the mastermind of several mass-murder homicide bombing operations?
Although President Clinton will be the last former U.S. President to get taxpayer-paid Secret Service protection after leaving office (pursuant to legislation he signed), it’s time for Congress to limit Secret Service protection to proscribe these kinds of trips.
If Jimmy Carter wants to engage in this disgusting trip to meet a mass-murderer, we shouldn’t be subsidizing the trip.
Nauseating. But given Jimmy Carter’s history of wreaking havoc in the Middle East–from Iran to Israel–no shocker.
For a refresher on Jimmuh and his previous Mid-East failures and commentary, read my flashback, Shut Up, Jimmy Carter.”

President Bush and his regime should be the ones to stop this but they are so feckless that they surely won’t do anything.
We can expect more of the same or worse from the current crop of Presidential candidates.
Luckily, our situation depends on the One above and not them but prayers are surely needed for our country and our allies.

Facts of Life, you took the words right out of my mouth. I think that most Democratic politicians, and quite a few Republican politicians as well, see absolutely nothing wrong with Carter’s trip. He is just more up-front than they are. Probably after he comes back it will start a clamor among some Democrats for Hamas to be included somehow in the ‘peace process’. It wouldn’t surprise me a bit of Republicans like Bush, and possibly even McCain, go along openly or tacitly with this. I think this is the logic of Clueless Condi’s statements about not being tied down to sequential stages in the ‘peace process’, i.e. that Israel should make further concessions without waiting (forever) for Abbas to stop terrorism.

While Panama had originally promised to protect America’s security and strategic interest in the Canal, it proceeded in the exact opposite direction by signing long-term port management contracts with a Chinese company, Hutchinson Whampoa of Hong Kong. As a result, both ends of the Panama Canal are now controlled by a company closely aligned with, and partially owned by, the communist Chinese government.
Jimmy Carter is a traitor to the American people. It was Jimmy Carter that started the Globalist plan for the North American Union or SPP.
James Earl Carter is a CFR member and a founding member of the Trilateral Commission. Once inaugurated, Carter brought no less than 18 fellow members of the Commission into top-level cabinet and government agencies.
The goal of these David Rockefeller founded groups is the destruction of American Sovereignty and the eventual merging of the USA, Canada, and Mexico into the North American Union by 2010.
It was Jimmy Carter that started using trade agreements and treaty’s to subvert the Congress and the will of the American people. The Panama Canal was summarily given away to a communist dictator by President James Earl Carter.
The result is that the Communist Chinese owned Hutchison Whampoa controls both ends of the Canal.î In the event of an eventual conflict with China, it could immediately bring the U.S. to its knees by closing the Panama Canal and invoking a trade embargo with its vast network of ships. If that were not enough, they will have had ample time to directly deliver any amount of clandestine material (weapons, explosives, nuclear devices) to locations throughout the country.”

Carter is a close friend of Several Arab states including the United Arab Emirates and members of the GCC founded by Saudi Arabia in 1981. He laid the ground work for the take over of our ports by the United Arab Emirates (UAE) company, Dubai Ports World (DP World).
Long story short, Carter is a traitor and should not be allowed to conduct foreign policy in the Middle East. In fact, I think Carter should be prosecuted for Sedition for his past acts of treason both while in office and out of office.
For more information about Carter and the NAU I urge you all to read up on this traitor at The August Review: http://www.augustreview.com

Just think – this will probably be our foreign policy should Hillbug or Hussein get elected.

Some Carter critics called the latest reports typical of the ex-president.
ìItís about par for the course from President Carter, demonstrating a lack of judgment typical of what he does,” said John Bolton, former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations. “To go to Syria to visit Hamas at this point is just an ill-timed, ill-advised decision on his part.”
ìIím not surprised that Carter would do this, as he has been supporting Palestinian extremism for many years,î said Steve Emerson, director of the Investigative Project on Terrorism, a watchdog group.
Carter would be the first Western leader of his stature to meet with the Hamas chief. Though Meshal met with Clinton officials in the 1990s, the Bush administration has sought to isolate Hamas, enforcing rigid sanctions on its government in Gaza and refusing to meet with its leaders unless it recognizes Israel and abandons terror.
ìI think this [visit] undermines the U.S. policy of isolating Hamas,î said Emerson. ìI think this encourages Europeans to further dilute their sanctions against the Hamas government.î
“When you put the prestige of a former president of the United States in a meeting with one of its terrorist leaders, youíre giving it a legitimacy and currency it never had,î said Bolton.
But Ibrahim Hooper, communications director of the Council on American-Islamic Relations, a non-profit advocacy group, said Carter’s efforts demonstrate he’s a true partner in peace.
ìI think if true, this report would indicate that President Carter is willing to travel any road in search of peace,î he said. ìI think President Carter would only undertake such a mission if he believed that something could be achieved in terms of peace and reconciliation in the region.î
Hooper added that because of Carter’s reputation among Palestinians he might be able to bring some pressure to bear.
ìObviously President Carter has a great amount of credibility in the region because of his past efforts seeking peace internationally,î Hooper said.
CAIR HAPPY, OF COURSE.

The Al-Hayat report stated that Carter would be traveling in his capacity as head of the Carter Center, and not in his capacity as a former president.
ìThatís a distinction thatís absurd,î said Emerson.
ìMaybe heíll give up his pension, but heís always a former president,î said Bolton.

After he leaves: cancel his passport, and let the enemy have ’em. He obviously has no regard for our country except for what we’ll do for him.
Also, if he’s so keen to visit these terrorist countries, then he might as well settle down with 9 Muslim wives and lust in his heart ’til passing on.
Then again, being a Democrat… Hey! Blow@#$ Billie would’ve done it! (He probably did do it.)

bh has a good idea. Cancel his passport and exile his ass. Let him run around the area without a ss detail. See how long his lib ass lasts.

I’d give him about 3 hours before he cracks.
However, these Leftist elitists tend to survive. Maybe he’ll host his own HAMAS daytime talk show with a muppet of Adam Gadahn. Or do Habitat for Humanity homes in dead, erosion plagued cities in Syria and Jordan.
And without the SS detail, I’m sure Khaled is willing to burp him before bedtime.
