OUTRAGE: Islamo-Pandering Prosecutors vs. the First Amendment II

By Debbie Schlussel

It’s truly an outrage and much worse than what I thought would happen, today, in the United States of America in 2011.  We’ve truly lost our country, our freedoms.  Kaput.  Earlier today, I told you about Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy using the courts to try and stop Pastor Terry Jones’ First Amendment right to protest.  I’m sickened that, today, Jones was forced to endure a trial by jury in a Dearbornistan court, regarding whether or not he should be forced to pay a clearly unconstitutional, unlawful bond in order to hold his protest in front of the Islamic Center of America.  It’s simply an outrage.  You and I and he have the right to free speech, PERIOD.  Nowhere in the First Amendment or any case law does it say that the right to speech shall be infringed until payment of a $100,000 bond.  That’s absolute bullcrap about an absolute right.  Any limits on it are un-American.

Muslim-Run Dearbornistan Puts Pastor Terry Jones on Trial for First Amendment Speech

If Jones loses tomorrow, he will surely win on appeal, but good luck finding judges to stay the verdict upon appeal on Good Friday.  Good luck finding any judges on that day, but for the judge, Judge Mark Somers, who forced Jones to endure the jury trial for the bond.

I’m truly sickened by this.  We are losing our country.  We should all be up in arms protesting the loss of free speech rights, regardless of how much of an anathema Jones, himself, may be.  As I said, he should never have been forced to stand trial on whether or not he should pay to be able to speak freely, to hold a protest.  That is an absolute right on which a long and large body of case law, and U.S. Supreme Court decision after U.S. Supreme Court decision has held firm.

It’s interesting how, suddenly, Muslims–including Islamic terrorists–have absolute rights to free speech, but Christians and others must now put up a $100,000 bond to enjoy the same.  If that’s not a jizya [Islamic tax on non-Muslims], I don’t know what is.  So much for the claim that sharia [Islamic law] doesn’t run Dearbornistan.

G-d save this dying country.  You know the saying, “Freedom isn’t free”?  Well, it isn’t long-lived either, if we allow it to be usurped left and right because Muslims whine.

Jones doesn’t have to justify his views to any one. You have that same right.

How it is an American can get hauled into court and told he has to pay to speak in the public square?

We’re being dhimmized… and not just in Dearbornistan.

Good luck, America!

Debbie, Dearborn will eventually get a judicial smackdown, and I hope Jones wins millions in damages.

Norman F is right. Unfortunately, it will just be a matter of time before there is, indeed, case law supporting more and more encroachments on free speech than we would have imagined a few decades ago.

They will find judges, go after people without resources to fight back, and rack up the precedents. There are already bad laws on the books because the lawyers on the right side weren’t very good, the defendants didn’t have much money, chose not to fight, etc., etc. Some of the insufferable legislation about women’s ‘rights’ represents an example of this.

They will then choose their domains, and extend the bad case law.

Can some please explain to me on what basis the United States should or would continue to exist in the absence of our enumerated constitutional rights? There is none. The shared values embodied in the constitutional are glue which holds this country together. Without those, what exactly is the point? Eventually, Texas and like-minded states are going to walk rather than be ruled by a coastal liberal elite.

I watched Fox 2 news yesterday and Hule Perkins on the “Let it Rip” segment made me want to puke. He let this rag-head filibuster almost the whole allotted time while never truely questioning the horrors which lie between the pages of the filthy Koran. Hule also let the tent maker get away with saying that Timithy McVeigh bombed the federal building in Oklahoma in Jesus’ name. I will never watch Fox 2 news again, that did it for me…

..The Anti-America Christiphobic Politically Correct Marxist Media Liars are a Hydra with one body and many heads ,all Lying constantly..
    —————
..If a man like Timothy Mc’Viegh went to a Church once in his life the Liberal/left will brand him a “Christian” in order to discredit Christianity as a Faith/Religion of Love and Peace ,even if he rejected Christianity ,as Mc’Viegh did..
    ———–
.. I really only watch News Networks now to see how many Lies/Spin/Propaganda ,and Lies by Ommision i can spot per News Item…Newspapers are Liberal/Left Propaganda Tools,so i only read the flyers or classifieds….Weather and Sports reports can be had online.

Hey Daniel,

Don’t blame FOX for Perkins’s timidness. Years ago, Chuck Stokes of Channel 7 had Osama Siblani on with others, some of the Black Detroit Reverends, if memory serves. The show was a run-away as Stokes & company lost control of the questions and time constraints.

Send Perkins a note re his lack of moderating the discussion into something of value rather than a shout-out opportunity.

BTW…you are correct about any number of “SATANIC VERSES” contained within that book. (Thank you Rushdie for those words)

Dennis on April 22, 2011 at 8:56 am

Dennis, time constraints was not even the issue, the so-called man of peace in which Perkins referred to him ate up more than half the show which was nearly 20-25 minutes long, and there were 3 people on the panel excluding the passive Perkins. The other so-called Christian on the panel is not without fault either, he labeled the Koran protesting Pastor has a crazy man who had blood on his hands because of nut-job muslims killing innocent people over the burning of paper and ink. Let me just point out that the man in question isn’t the brightest bulb in the box, and I would of rather been on that panel than him to refute most of the garbage this sand trecker was spewing, but a better choice would have been Debbie, but that show-down would of only led to more death threats by these animals with no further show to discussing “their” intolerence.

What about the Westboro Baptist Church?

You know Debbie,

People keep growing up until a given age they they start to regress and go down hill. I am saddened to say that the same thing is happening with western culture. I say that and I am praying that i would be wrong, because if I am right this is very bad news to all of us. Keep up your good work to shake America out of its sleep.

By the way the whole Quoran is nothing but satanic inspired. Muhammad said in a Hadith that he has a satan sibling who was always trying to recruit him for the service of Satan but that he convinced him to surrender to Islam.

What do I say??? tell me who your cohorts are, I will tell you who you are.

It looks like some here are more equal than others.

Just Me on April 22, 2011 at 10:23 am

Freedom of speech is an absolute. It cannot be negotiated.

Tanstaafl on April 22, 2011 at 11:29 am

DS is right. We are losing…and have lost a substantial part of our liberties in this country. This country poisoned by the 60’s radicals and now being used by Islam to tear it down from the inside out.

I think so many have taken their freedoms and liberties for granted in this country. Sometimes it is hard not to do so because we had so many for so long. I wonder what will happen from this day forward? People are not the same and I guess we have become the figurative “fat and lazy”. There will surely be howls when they finally begin to see what we have lost in their everyday life, when it becomes tangible.

(A minor (well, not really but only in contrast to Jihadi stuff) freedom/liberty I grieve is the oppressive no smoking laws. I’d rather the freedom of how it USED to be than the benefits of the ever creeping ban. And I don’t smoke anymore.)
