Well Done Video of the Day, #2: The Cult of (B) Husseinality (Obama)
By Debbie Schlussel
The maker of this very well done video must have been reading when I wrote that Living Colour’s “Cult of Personality” should be the Barack Hussein Obama theme song–actually it was reader “samurai’s” idea in the comments section of another post on this site. He redoes this fave classic of mine with excellent footage and quotes. Try to bear the two gratuitous shots of the ever annoying seismic ego of Sean “The Plagiarist” Vannity. Love this guy’s quick clip of Eddie Murphy in “The Distinguished Gentleman,” the movie in which he ran for office and delivered empty, phony promise-filled speeches. That’s Obama in a nutshell:
I exploit you, still you love me;
I tell you one and one makes three;
I’m the Cult of Personality.

Save your ammo, Debbie. It’s a long way to November. Can’t wait for the Obama-McCain debates. The old man is going to snap like a twig.
