Reaching Big-Time: Alan Dershowitz Claims Spitzer Was “Entrapped”

By Debbie Schlussel
The guy who was on the O.J. “dream team,” who was on Bill Clinton’s impeachment legal defense team, who lost cases representing Leona Helmsley, Mike Tyson, etc.–the man who told me on national television on ABC’s “Politically Incorrect” that I’m not a lawyer (it was his last refuge because Joan Rivers and I were kicking his butt about his statements regarding O.J. and Bill Clinton)–that same guy is now making the really absurd claim that ex-New York Gov. Eliot Spitzer a/k/a “Client-9” was “entrapped.”
Read the “Entrapment of Eliot” and laugh at the Comedy of Alan.
Nice try, Dershowitz, but no cigar. Nobody forced Spitzer to spend at least $80,000 on hookers. No-one forced him to contact call girl outfits and schedule “encounters” with “Kristen”. He did that all on his own. There’s nothing even close to entrapment here.
Yup, Spitzer has himself a new professional ho’. And his name ain’t “Kristen.” Don’t be surprised if Dersh suddenly joins the legal defense team of Client-9.

Dershowitz is a loser so it’s no surprise that he takes up for losers.
Entrapped…yeah right! “Spitzer the bull-shitzer ” knew exactly what the stakes were when he decided to graze on another pasture.

Aww! Poor Spitzer. Having to face charges for laundering money and tracking women across state lines for the purpose of having sex. Aww. What’s a former Prosecuting Attorney, Attorney general and New York State Governor to do? …..Jail time.

Dersh sure loves the cameras and limelight!
Unfortunately, now we are going to have to see that bim prostitute everywhere on TV, and you can bet your last dollar Oprah will have her on and this bim will be a saint to the stupid Oprah sheep, er, I mean, “audience.”
Another easy prediction, I bet book companies are already lined up for the you know it’s coming book deal.
I wish they’d just all go away, NOW!!!

I wish Alan Dershowitz would make a passionate case for the entrapment of Steve Rosen and Ken Wasserman of AIPAC who were told that the lives of Israelis were in danger from terrorists and then subsequently arrested and prosecuted for telling the Israeli embassy about it. It turns out that the “danger” did not exist and it was a deliberate lie intended to compell and “catch” Rosen and Wasserman passing “classified” information.
Perhaps Alan Dershowitz has addressed these men’s legal case. If not, I think it would be a very constructive case to place his efforts.

Gee, since Mr. Dershowitz is so concerned with legal justice, I am sure he will rise to the defense of Ramos and Compean. Oh, I forgot, they don’t have very much money.

I know there is a lot of discussion & speculation who the other clients are. How much do you want to bet if any of them are Muslims, especially Arab or Iranian potentates, we will never know?

This is just business as usual Deb. Typical hypocritical behaviour by a pretend “big fish” swimming around in a pretend “big pond”. Does this Spitzer’s behaviour really shock anybody? He’s nothing but a self rightous pretender crusading as a hero and prancing around in his big fish suit exposing crime and prosecuting all those bad little fishies. What a f—–g phony Deb. How many people do we know in the little pond that portray the same bullshit day after day after day! He’s no different than any other con man aside from the fact that he has accumulated a bigger bank roll. And his wife just stands next to him with that “I have been betrayed” look while exhibiting the beginning threads of forgiveness. How touching. Give me a f—–g break. She should have kicked his ass for wasteing all that money let alone giving it to a hooker. There is no ongoing heroism out there Deb. Just a bunch of liars and cheats parading around in costumes portraying themselves as heroes while sucking up all the adoration and congratulatory pats on the back that the many suckers and sheep by the pond can give them. All the while laughing at the idiots and sheep that follow the show. Other than that I think Spitzer’s a good guy . . . later–joe

Even Lionel Air Americas morning jock and super lib thinks Dershowitz is off base and apparently forgot the definition of entrapment he learned in law school.

Well in the sense that Spitzer made a lot of enemies, I can actually see how he could be “targeted”, though that obviously wasn’t the case here. First off, someone had to figure out that he had a history of using prostitutes before targeting a sting on him for it, that is, it’s not like this was the first time Eliot even did this (nor does it appear (even Alan Dershowitz indirectly admits this in the article) like the FBI went undercover as a john and/or hooker to “tempt” him or anything like that) and obviously no public figure should be stupid enough to take a chance like this anyway (forgetting even simple morals/”right/wrong”), especially a “self righteous hypocrite” like Spitzer.

The Dersh is usually right when he writes about Israel. I think he’s lost it on L’Affaire Spitzer. The truth prostitution isn’t a victimless crime and second there’s no entrapment here. The Guv consorted with prostitutes and gave them cash of his own free will, with the full knowledge that what he did was both wrong and illegal. The Average Joe can claim ignorance and be granted leniency if he wasn’t conversant with money laundering laws. That defense doesn’t wash with Spitzer. As an attorney, he knew exactly what the laws where – chapter and verse. Besides the obvious legal angles to this case, he’s prime material for disbarment as an attorney. No one needs to state the obvious… an attorney and officer of the court is not allowed to break the law. Period.

Debbie, I can’t think of Dershowitz without remembering that you pointed out to us long ago that he is an overrated plagiarist. Dershowitz wrote a great book called “The Case for Israel.” One problem–he lifted lots of content wholesale from Joan Petersí book, From Time Immemorial.
He was a great national embarassment as part of murderer OJ’s dream team. He is a pure schmuck. His view on scum Idiot Spitzer is his normal BS.
