Hilarious Quote of the Day
By
From Saudi Arabian architect Sami Angawi:
Mecca is not a city. It is a sanctuary. It is a place of diversity and tolerance.
Is he one of these new Muslim comedians?
Diversity? Tolerance? Hmmm . . . how many churches, synagogues, Buddhist temples are there in Mecca? How many crosses? How much pork is sold in stores there? How many women are allowed to drive there? How many Jews, Christians, and atheists are there?
Sorry, but when we think of diversity and tolerance, Mecca does not make the list. But, hey, it’s #1 on the Monolithic and Intolerant list.
Must add this: Angawi now laments that Mecca is less “diverse” and “tolerant,” these days, but not because of any of the factors I asked about, above. Nope. What he’s upset about is “encroaching delevopment” and “the destruction of landmarks.” He’s upset that the city now has Cinnabon.
Really?
Tell that to the Jews of Jerusalem, as they watch the Temple Mount rapidly being destroyed by Muslims in the mosque built on top ot it, all with the sanction of the wimpy, pandering Israeli government.

I prefer this quote of his in referring to Mecca.
“It is becoming a hopeless case.”
