BREAKING: As I Predicted, Lib Judge Cook Goes Soft–Abdullah Al-Muhajir a/k/a Jose Padilla Gets 17 Years, Jayyousi – 12 years

By Debbie Schlussel
Sadly, yet another Schlussel prediction in the war on terror comes true.
Readers will recall that I warned you that Judge Marcia Cooke, a George W. Bush appointee, was a liberal and a former Detroit-area federal public defender. Readers will recall that I predicted Judge Cooke would be lenient on terrorist Abdullah Al-Muhajir Jose Padilla and his fellow terrorist co-defendants, including former Assistant Superintendent of Detroit Public Schools Kifah Wael Jayyousi (who had access to all of the infrastructure and water systems for the Detroit public schools and later the Washington, DC public schools). And lenient she was. Were it not for the jury, I have no doubt they would walk, as I had predicted they might.

Judge Marcia Cooke Soft on Terrorist Padilla/Al-Muhajir

And I was right. The feds asked for life in prison for Padilla, Jayyousi, and a third defendant, Adham Amin Hassoun. But, today, the judge, as I predicted, went soft. She gave Muhajir/Padilla just over 17 years in prison, Jayyousi just over 12 years, and Hassoun, just under 16 years. Fortunately, Judge Cooke did not let them walk, as I had feared could happen. But walk in a few years, they certainly will. All are eligible for a reduction in these sentences for good behavior. And Judge Cooke issued a number of rulings that made it easy on Padilla et al.
Thanks, Judge Cooke, your Dis-Honor. More evidence that America is like Adam Ant. Desperate But Not Serious in the domestic War on Terror.
Remember everyone saying the reason to elect and re-elect Bush was “for the judges”? Well, this is one of Bush’s judges.
GUH-REAT judicial appointment.
Also at fault–the U.S. government. They removed the “Enemy Combatant” status from Padilla, punting on that issue before Supreme Court review. They also whiffed on Padilla’s dirty bomb plot, not at all brought up in his criminal trial. This is typical of the Justice Department’s half-assed “pursuit” of terrorists. It is largely a failure.
Thankfully, these guy are in prison. But in a decade, they’ll be out again, plotting against America with their buddies they converted behind bars.
Remember that Padilla was a top Al-Qaeda official. His “job application” documented that. It is truly incredible to think that a guy the government said, not long ago, was plotting to smuggle a dirty bomb into our nation to kill Americans, will be out in less than two decades, while so many other Americans with far less serious crimes will serve decades longer.

The likes of Judge Marcia Kooke will be the first ones on line when our Muslim friends set up their Infidel Beheading Centers. The Feds “war on terror” is a joke. What will this judge say if Padilla gets out of jail and commits terrorist acts against us?

Incarcerating these individuals will, almost certainly, provide them with myriad opportunities to wage jihad in prison by participating in da’wa, or proselytization. Jihad takes many forms besides armed combat, and other tactics are often more effective; many American prison inmates have become Muslim converts, as those who proselytize for Islam appeal, often successfully, to those inmates’ feelings of alienation and to their frequent hostility to mainstream beliefs and values. Jihad means striving, in the context of removing all barriers to Islam so that it may dominate. Conversion of unbelievers is a means to this end, and the prison system is an excellent venue to achieve this. If this judge, Marcia Cooke, had any understanding of the situation, she would have taken measures to prevent these fanatical Muslims from having such opportunities. Their contact with other prisoners, for example, should be limited. If possible, the prison officials should exercise this option. Solitary confinement for the duration of their sentence would be appropriate, although I suspect it would not be legal.

This is just another disgusting example of our Government refusing to do their jobs and protect America against terrorists.
The Justice Department is fast becoming the enemy of the people and Judges are so corrupt there are not words to describe their actions.
The DOJ treated this guy with kid gloves when they should have thrown the book at him for his actions.
This Judge does not have a clue about Justice and should resign or be removed from her position for malfeasance of office.
This woman is a perfect example of an affirmative action appointee and she has just demonstrated why she is incapable of performing her duties with this slew of lenient sentences for terrorists.

Well, the judge’s picture said it all. Affirmative action at work. Is there a mechanism whereby her work can be reviewed? Another reason Jorge Bush is a disaster and an idiot.

17 years means he will on be 54, I believe? He will still be young enough to be useful as a jihadist leader.

It is, of course, possible that Abdullah will get a patriotic cellmate. Not unlike Jeffrey Dahmer.
Too bad apparently everyone in this admin skipped the law school class on ex parte Quirin — if the schools even taught it.

17 years is not a correct sentance for someone like Padilla who wanted to use a suitcase nuke to shit down New York City, Miami, or Washington.
Mr. Padilla and those like him need to be eliminated, they do not ever change.
The presidential finding on the GST program permitted the CIA to create paramilitary teams to hunt and kill designated individuals anywhere in the world (like Padilla), according to a dozen current and former intelligence officials and congressional and executive branch sources.
In six years, the GST has become larger than the CIA’s covert action programs in Afghanistan and Central America in the 1980s, according to current and former intelligence officials. Indeed, the CIA, working with foreign counterparts, has been responsible for virtually all of the success the United States has had in capturing or killing al Qaeda leaders since Sept. 11, 2001.
“If it was an al Qaeda person, it wouldn’t be an assassination,” said one lawyer involved, it is that simple, kill or be killed.

No doubt these scum will actively proselytize in prison. It is fertile ground. Rob, murder and rape the infidel for Allah and feel good about yourself!
It’s an easy sell.

What I can advise you, guys?
– When everybody will rush to run out of this bellissima paesa di paradiso – don’t forget to climb the tree (paraphrase of an old Brejnev’s time soviet joke).

If there are any patriots in prison, they’ll know what to do with these guys.

He should serve his time in Gitmo.
