As a conservative, I was uncomfortable with and offended by Debbie’s comments. It was unfortunate and tragic, what happened to Lara, regardless of her political views. As Americans first and women second, we should never celebrate or be flippant when tragic things occur. This is why conservatives get such a bad name and why people in general label us as unsympathetic and out of touch.The “classy” thing to have done Debbie, was to offer your thoughts and prayers to the victim and condemn those individuals involved in her attack, not label an entire nation as “savages”. We, as conservatives are better than this….At least we should be!

Women like you take those rights for granted or don’t value them at all. Rights that were hard fought for by previous generations of women. Take a look at the rape statistics in this country’s military. Take a look at the women’s shelters, overflowing to capacity.

In one single city in Pakistan alone there were more than 7,800 documented cases of women who were deliberately burned, scalded or subjected to acid attacks since 1994. So while it is true that many different tribes, cultures and ethnic groups mistreat their womenfolk: it is revealing that among the Pashtuns, Berbers, Arabs, Malays, Punjabis, Malians, Turks, Persians, and other ethnic groups that stone, behead, burn, and fling acid at their womenfolk, it is Muslim Pashtuns, Muslim Berbers, Muslim Arabs, Muslim Malays, Muslim Punjabis, Muslim Malians, Muslim Turks, Muslim Persians, and other Muslim groups that commit almost all of the stoning, beheading, burning, and acid flinging. Why is that?

Let me give the simple answer: It is in the very fabric of Islamic society to allow women to be tortured and abused. Here’s an example: when a law banning wife abuse was proposed recently in Pakistan, several lawmakers objected, claiming the law could tear apart the social fabric by undermining families 1! I cannot pound out enough exclamation marks to show my outrage at that statement.

We, in civilized societies, put people in prison even if they abuse dogs. But in Pakistan, they cannot bring themselves to outlaw the beating of women.

So why do Muslims abuse women? Because they can.

People here are attacking Islam for genital mutilation? Really? Because the Christians and Jews don’t practice genital mutilation on a much larger scale than a few sects of muslims in Africa?

You know, there is a religion that imparts genital mutilation onto infant boys. Tearing at the flesh of young children who have no recourse against their brutal parents and religious leaders.Infants left bloody and crying as a man suckling the blood from their gaping wounds on their infant’s penis.

In fact, it is so pervasive that it has become the cultural norm for an entire nation of perversion in the name of their God. They took it from their religious leaders and put it into the hands of brutal ‘surgeons’ that remove entire swaths of flesh from the ends of male infants sexual organs after strapping their arms to the bed and ripping the flesh from their bodies without anesthesia.

While she is virulent in her religious prejudice against Muslims, she doesn’t mention that she is Jewish and that her writings are basically to promote Israel, in an effort to justify its treatment of Palestinian Muslims and Christians.

I haven’t looked at anything you’ve had to say in a long time, and I only came here to confirm that a woman would actually say these sorts of things and mean them. I have no illusions that anyone this clearly unhinged cares what anyone else thinks.

But I do want to say that I appreciate that you are showing the world EXACTLY what kind of person you are. Fortunately, you’re the only person who has to live with that sort of corrosive knowledge.
