On Friday February 11, the day Egyptian president Hosni Mubarak stepped down, CBS correspondent Lara Logan was covering the jubilation in Tahrir Square for a “60 Minutes” story when she and her team and their security were surrounded by a dangerous element amidst the celebration. It was a mob of more than 200 people whipped into frenzy.

In the crush of the mob, she was separated from her crew. She was surrounded and suffered a brutal and sustained sexual assault and beating before being saved by a group of women and an estimated 20 Egyptian soldiers. She reconnected with the CBS team, returned to her hotel and returned to the United States on the first flight the next morning. She is currently in the hospital recovering.

Hey, sounds like the threats I get from American Muslims on a regular basis. Now you know what it’s like, Lara.

There will be no further comment from CBS News and Correspondent Logan and her family respectfully request privacy at this time.

I just love it when the people of the profession of “the public’s right to know” suddenly want “privacy.” Tell it to your next interview subject, Lara. Of course CBS has no further comment. Wouldn’t wanna impugn the “peacefulness” of “Religion of Peace” animals, would we? Now, if they were Christians or Jews, well, then there would be comments galore.

So sad, too bad, Lara. No one told her to go there. She knew the risks. And she should have known what Islam is all about. Now she knows. Or so we’d hope. But in the case of the media vis-a-vis Islam, that’s a hope that’s generally unanswered.

This never happened to her or any other mainstream media reporter when Mubarak was allowed to treat his country of savages in the only way they can be controlled.

Now that’s all gone. How fitting that Lara Logan was “liberated” by Muslims in Liberation Square while she was gushing over the other part of the “liberation.”

The PC world refuses to realize that culturally Egyptian men are brought up to treat women like possessions. It was an accident waiting to happen. All foreign journalists in Egypt were in danger ever since the day Omar Suleiman announced on state TV that they were Israeli spies. This was, of course, a complete lie, but the Mubarak die-hards believed it and attacked many journalists during the course of the week. That’s why Anderson Cooper went home. I think Ms. Logan, an incredibly brave reporter who deserves the highest honors her profession can bestow, was likely targeted by one of the pro-Mubarak gangs that had been terrorizing all journalists for a week. We have to remember those thugs didn’t just disappear after they stopped attacking Tahrir Square; they were still out there, bitterly angry, and they committed a vicious crime of opportunity when they saw a chance.

Why were the pro-Mubarak gangs so violent? It certainly can’t be Islam, because the peaceful protesters, and Ms. Logan’s rescuers, are as Islamic as the thugs. I think the violent tendencies have something to do with ignorance and close-mindedness, and a tendency to see the world in black-and-white, good-versus-evil terms. A lot like the author of this article.

Truth is not hate, and deception is not love.

Many things ARE black and white, good and evil. Please consider the following:

1. Is there any behavior that is always morally wrong?
2. If no, then all behavior is sometimes morally right.

Multiculturalism that promotes and tolerates evil, and moral relativism should be considered illnesses.

Is rape evil? If yes, then Islam, which condones/allows rape, is evil.
What about slavery, sex slavery, kidnapping, extortion (jizya), lying (taqiyaa), omission of truth (Kitman), killing others to get to heaven (Koran 9:111), ad infinitum, ad nauseam.

Islam, for 1400 years, has allowed/condoned/required behavior that Western Civilization has deemed criminal and abhorrent.

If rape, marriage, and divorce of pre-pubescent children isn’t evil, nothing is evil. Islam allows this per Koran Chapter 65, Verse 4.

Proving rape requires 4 male Muslim witnesses in good standing. (Koran 24:13)

Tragically, were she to still be in what is considered the Arabic cultural/educational/enlightened city of Cairo, she’d have more awaiting her.

She is to get 100 lashes for having fornication/adultery. (Koran 24:2)

This is better than the required stoning to death that many Muslim women received for being raped. (All this according to Islam’s prophet Mohammed – who had a mother stoned to death after weaning her infant child, for the capital offense of adultery. Sahih Muslim 17.4206)

Judging from the picture Ms Schlussl uses on her blog of herself, my guess her main beef with Ms Logan is that Lara is so much more attractive than she is.

Consider that Ms Schlussel has posted a picture of herself doctored as so to be totally unrecognizable. It really looks quite attractive, but unfortunately nothing like the real Ms Schlussel whom is quite homely in actuality. Now I will aregue that there is nothing wrong with being homely, but apparently Ms Schlussel doesn’t agree since she posted a picture of herself heavily doctored to alter her appearance to disguise this fact.

Ms Logan is a highly respected journalist who also happens to be blessed with exceptionally attractive looks. This must really disturb someone so ashamed of their own homeliness.

Who is to blame for the attack?
If, as multiculturalists assert, that all cultures, societies, and religions are equal, i.e., none morally superior or morally inferior than others, it is impossible to blame the attackers for their acts. We can no more blame the attackers for their acts due to cultural, societal, or religions than we can based on the color of the socks they wore that day.

Muslim imams worldwide have made references to “uncovered meat” that forces men to act uncontrollably. In Iran, an Ayatollah once said women’s hair had special rays (unseen powers) that drive men crazy.

It is therefore only reasonable and logical to conclude that indeed, some cultures, societies, and religions are morally superior to others, while others are morally inferior to others.

Regarding all the attacks on Ms. Schlussel, please read what she wrote. IF, if, she is experiencing schadenfreude, it can only be inferred by the words she DID NOT say. How so many can attribute her thoughts and feelings to what she did not write about while denying things that Muslims and the Koran do say (and act out on) on a daily basis worldwide is remarkable. .

Thus lies not only the problem with multiculturalism, but PC as well. Instead of us using words to say what we actually mean, PC forces us to often inaccurately infer messages from things not spoken.

Again, this is an incoherent argument. You begin with the assertion that all cultures and religions are equal, but jump to blaming Islam for this incident. Your first proposition is fully compatible with blaming the individuals for this crime, not the people, the religion or the culture.

Please, think before you post. You have yet to make a logical argument for your proposition that Muslims are evil. The only evidence you have thus far is an ancient book no more violent and unmerciful than either the Old or New Testament, or any other holy book for that matter.

And as stated before, if you’re going to be a flaming racist, could you at least pretend you’re making a thoughtful and deliberate argument? I am getting sick of reading the same things white supremacists have been spouting for centuries.

I want to see Liberals to live as a minority in the reverse numbers in a Muslim nation. I want to see Joy Behar, Lisa Ling, Anderson Cooper, Katie Couric, etc., live in Egypt, Syria, Lebannon and speak out against the “hypocrisy” of the “religious right” in those lands. It is so easy for Liberals to bash Christians and Jews about their beliefs in America. And they don’t have to worry about getting raped either.
Liberals can protest Churches and Synagogues, but don’t have the guts to protest a mosque with the same fervor. Let us see Liberals go to the extreme and go to a Muslim country and demand human rights in the face of swords.

For Liberals it is all about their damn feelings. All about their selfish feelings. Never about sacrifice of life and limb for freedom. No that is what Conservatives do. Fight for liberty. Because being angry at Muslims would be a gross mischaracterization of an entire group of people based on the action of a few individuals or entirely unfounded mostly racist stereotypes. It is absolutely shocking to see that there are people in the 21st century promoting bigotry against an identifiable group using the exact same methods American slave owners used.

To recap, slave-owners considered African Americans to be nothing more than animals or chattel, with no capacity for reason or empathy. Slave-owners justified the continuation of slavery by the promotion of the idea that blacks were morally inferior, prone to violence and unable to participate in civil society. Does this sound familiar yet?

Did you not pay attention in history class? It seems to me you and many others have forgotten the legacy of the mistakes of the past, and are therefore doomed to repeat them.
