HAMAS Cowers; Israel’s Response to Terror is Working (Temporarily)
This is probably just temporary, as HAMAS is recalcitrant and will never go away, unless its supporters/members/enablers a/k/a the Palestinians go away. However, despite all the criticism of Israel using missiles to target HAMAS terrorists, it is working. It’s working so much so that HAMAS is begging its various factions and splinter groups to tamp down violence and stop firing rockets at Israel (not that that will ever happen–rockets are fired on innocent Israelis every day, but you just don’t hear about it, even in the Israeli media). This isn’t a result of “going to the peace table.” It’s a result of warfare, which Israel is forced to fight every single second of every day. Ronald Reagan called it, “Peace Through Strength” (though he, himself, sadly didn’t have the guts to practice it when we ran out of Lebanon, after Palestinian and Shi’ite terrorists murdered our troops and embassy officials).
Hamas rulers of Gaza appealed to other armed Palestinian groups in the territory Tuesday to halt a recent spike in violence, fearing an all-out Israeli invasion in response.
In the latest incident, a missile fired by an Israeli aircraft Tuesday killed an Islamic Jihad militant who was riding a motorcycle in southern Gaza, the Israeli military said.
Bull’s Eye!
The violent group vowed revenge “at the right time.” The military said the militant was planning a major attack on Israel. . . . Hamas spokesman Taher Nunu called on militant Gaza factions to stop firing rockets at Israel and refrain from other attacks on the border as well. He said a cease fire that has been in place for two years serves Palestinian interests and prevents Israeli counterstrikes.
Like I said, it’s a phony ceasefire, as rockets have been fired on Israel every single day, but just less of them. Still, this public cowering by HAMAS is fun to watch.
Hamas has made similar appeals for calm in the past few weeks, but rocket fire and Israeli retaliation have continued. The Islamic militant group appears concerned about triggering another large-scale Israeli military campaign similar to a three-week operation two years ago that killed about 1,400 Palestinians.
Now, that’s what I call “a start.” Or, rather, a drop in the bucket. That’s how you win a war, not by declaring pleasantries to liars and murderers over a plate of falafel at a table with Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama sitting in between.
Also, I’d love to see how that compares with the numbers of Palestinians HAMAS itself has killed. But, of course, the Associated Press would never report those numbers.
Israel routinely retaliates for Palestinian rocket attacks with airstrikes at militant facilities in Gaza and smuggling tunnels under the Egypt-Gaza border.
As we know, these “hudnas”–what they call their phony ceasefires–are only temporary, anyway, as they are just a time period for HAMAS to rejuvenate and re-arm, planning their next terrorist attacks on innocent civilians. However, it’s pretty clear that Israel’s targeted attacks are working. . . for now. Sitting at a table and “talking”–a/k/a negotiating yourself off the map–never works with these savage terrorists. Never.
Again, you get peace by bombing them to hell (or in their case, the 72 re-virginized), NOT by sitting at a table signing away your country for a stinky piece of paper.

Sometimes it’s hard to remember we’re all on the same team. That’s why http://mittromneycentral.com/2011/01/12/congressman-pence-introduces-bill-to-defund-planned-parenthood-of-taxpayer-dollars/ was so refreshing and timely. Before the race for 2012 officially starts, we should get as many people to read that wonderful piece as we can. Then, in 2012 we can bring America back!
