HAPPY THANKSGIVING!: Lots to Be Thankful for in 2010

By Debbie Schlussel

Happy Thanksgiving to all of you, my friends and readers across America (to my international friends and readers, I give my thanks to you, even if you do not celebrate this very American holiday which I love so much). We have much to be thankful about here in America at the end of 2010. (First and foremost, there are only 6 more years of Barack Obama at most. And a Thanksgiving Mubarak [“Blessed Thanksgiving,” in Arabic] to all of the current Islamo-pandering residents of the White House.)

To those who wished me a Happy Thanksgiving, I regret I cannot respond to each of you personally, but Right Back At Ya! Thank you for reading this site and posting your mostly terrific comments. Thanks for your tips and your support and contributions. A joyous, delicious, fun Thanksgiving to all of you! And I hope you will take the time beyond the Turkey and cranberry sauce to give thanks that our country is still free and that we are all alive and kicking. Those are my primary things to be thankful for, in addition to being a citizen of the best country on earth. Those of us who are healthy are thankful for that, and those who are not . . . well, I’m thankful we still have the best healthcare system on earth, until and unless ObamaCare is fully realized (and that’s not such a sure thing, now).

I’ve said this so many times before, but it bears repeating because the things I give thanks for are pretty consistent. They haven’t changed. On this Thanksgiving, I am thankful for you who regularly read my words. I give thanks for and think of all of those who serve our country in the U.S. Armed Forces and those who gave their lives so we can enjoy our turkey in freedom and without wearing a niqab, hijab, or jilbab, or some other dumb, oppressive piece of clothing that rhymes with “Bob” but was created by the Mohammeds, Ahmeds, and Mahmouds of this world.

I thank those who work today and every other day in U.S. Armed forces uniform, so that we can enjoy our lives as we wish and live freely. While left-wing self-hating Americans want us to regress to their phony version of history–ie., that we are the oppressors, don’t forget that the real oppression is going on elsewhere . . . all over the world today. A large part of it is under Islamic totalitarian rule, some of it under Communists and “former” Communists. I give thanks that we are not like them. And I give even more thanks that WE. ARE. BETTER. THAN. THEM. Never forget that.

If you are reading this site, you know that I still have the freedom to write whatever I wish on its pages and that you have the freedom to read it and whatever else you like. I am thankful for all of our freedoms here in America, since (for now), we still have them.

Though we have a pan-Marxist, Islamo-pandering President and times are tough for Americans all over, we are still citizens of the greatest country on earth. Most of all, I am thankful to be an American. Thank G-d for that!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING! And G-d Bless America.

Why is the o in God and Lord being replaced with a dash? Just wondering…..like using an x in place of Christ in Christmas…not respectful.

Thankful for your GREAT movie reviews, which are always on point and have saved me hours of time not wasted with bad movies. And giving me the heads up on movies that would be good for my G-d son to see. I’m thankful that my brother returned safe from “down range” with the Army. I am thankful for his brothers and sisters he left there who keep us safe.

I may not agree with you on everything, but I always enjoy seeing your blog in my mail box. Thank you for just being you. Shabbat shalom and blessings.

This is my first time commenting although I read your blog everyday. Thank you for all the info you share with. There is true evil in this world even though most people choose not to believe it (including my family). I just keeping praying that they will come to realize who the truly evil ones in this world are. Happy Thanksgiving to you Debbie and all the readers on this blog. May the Lord bless always.
