VIDEO: Another Good Reason Not to Lie to Border Inspectors

By Debbie Schlussel

So, you went over the northern border to Canada’s casinos to gamble, and you won some cash.  A lot of cash.  Here’s yet another reason NOT to lie to Customs and Border Protection agents and officers at the border.  Question:  Why don’t they tell the IRS?  Wish I knew the names of these schlemiels.

Good info. Pretty reporter. But her black street accent is beyond annoying. Are we in Mississippi?

I always wanted to get a few friends together, cross the border into Canada, don Groucho Marx masks and come back across to see if the USA Border Guards would have a chuckle or take the car apart. A funny idea? Probably. Probably not a god idea to try though.

Actually, a lot of times the customs and border patrol have a great sense of humor. When I was moving back into the U.S. from the great white north, I had a hammer and sickle with me. As soon as I pulled up to the customs booth, I put them, together like they were on the flag of the old Soviet Union. The customs guard got a real laugh out of it.

Next I told him that if Senator Joe McCarthy was still around that I would have been immediately arrested for treason. But much to my disappointed and my surprise, the customs guard did not know who Joe McCarthy was so instead of getting a chuckle out of that, he had a blank look on his face.

Although the guard was a young guy he still should have known who he was. I too was born after after the McCarthy era but I knew all about his with hunts. Don’t they teach history in schools anymore?

If anybody else does not know who Joe McCarthy was, just click on the following link.

It’s a bogus, unconstitutional law that allows the seizure of property as done in this story.

Agree with Manfred.

At the very least, these 2 Schlemieler knew where the money was at.

In Canada, when you win the lottery or at the casinos, the money is yours. You win $50M – you keep it all. End of story.

To the 2 losers: a good spanking!
