VIDEOS: New Brett Favre Wrangler Jeans Ads

By Debbie Schlussel

A married pro athlete cheats on his wife, making phone calls to a sports reporter-ette asking for a date.  Shocking.  Gee, that has never before happened in history.  It’s these truisms I learned long before my regrettable stint as a sports agent:  pro athletes are generally scumbags.  They are the lowest life forms on the planet.  And most sports reporter-ettes are in the biz to “date” (euphemism) them.

brettfavre.jpg

In this case, the athlete is spoiled-infant-in-a-grown-man’s body, Brett Favre.  As I’ve told you before, when I was in grad school at the University of Wisconsin in Madison (from which I got my law and MBA degrees), I repeatedly saw Brett Favre making out with–and, one time, getting oral sex from–assorted women in public, in front of other people at bars in Madison, just like an animal.  The guy is human refuse (and, again, the “human” part is debatable), as most pro athletes are.  He’s a lowlife.  A total scumbag and a fake.  But the mindless Green Bay Packers fans I met throughout Wisconsin wouldn’t hear of it.  This scum of the earth guy was beyond heroic, superhuman to them.  It was sickening.  There’s a reason this man who fathered his daughter out of wedlock now has a grandchild born out of wedlock from that daughter, with no father in its life to speak of.  The Favre family is a revolving life cycle of trash with a big bank account.

Favre’s wife, Deanna, who had a kid out of wedlock with him and didn’t marry him until the kid was like nine years old or upwards of that, is no less a fraud.  She’s parading around national TV shows, like ABC’s “Good Morning America,” talking about her Christian faith.  Yeah, right.  She knows she’s only getting booked on these shows because it’s in the news that her imbecile quarterback hubby and meal ticket allegedly sent photos of his penis to New York Jets sideline reporter Jenn Sterger, a charge he reportedly denied to NFL officials (he admitted calling and asking the reporter out on a date, which was all caught on tape, so he can hardly deny it–and the penis photos came from the same cell phone number).  Uh-huh, these are America’s heroes and “respected personalities” in the America Oprah Winfrey and Maury Povich–and feminism and the sexual revolution and the greater lifestyle given to us by liberal social policy–wrought.

So, now, every comedy show in the world is “redoing” Brett Favre’s Wrangler Jeans ads.  The first was Jimmy Kimmel, the video of which is funny only because of Jimmy’s witty commentary.  And then, there is the lame Saturday Night Live version that everyone is buzzing about. Neither is particularly funny.  But . . . I present, you decide:

When I was a kid, two of my sports heros were, Johnny Unitas and Brooks Robinson.

“Unitas was married by his uncle to his high school sweetheart Dorothy Hoelle on November 20, 1954; they had five children. Unitas married Sandra Lemon on June 26, 1972; they had three children and remained married till Unitas’s death on September 11th 2002.”

“Robinson married Constance Louise Butcher in 1960, and they have four children. He and his wife live in Maryland.”

Well, I guess The View is next.

Jeez!! This has been one strange and rotten year. I haven’t been into footy for a while, but if I did again, I reckon I would HAVE been a Brett Favre fan…BUT THAT AIN’T HAPPENING ANYTIME SOON.

I had no idea he was such a crumb-bum. Wow. All the stuff DS said she saw was shocking to me. I always thought he was a good bloke.

Like DS, I am pretty stringent about out of wedlock births, men who don’t marry their baby-mamas and just dirtbags with bad character. All these things make this idiot lesser than now.

First Tom Brady and well, I can’t say NOW BF as BF has been a DB for sometime now. I’m going back to my tennis!

Debbie, as an NFL fan (and a Pittsburgh Steelers fan BTW), I am appaulled and disappointed at Brett Favre on what he did back in his younger days. I thought he and his wife where great people who wouldn’t do stuff like that. Debbie, you were around back in the late 1980s & early 1990s when you were in college, you saw what Brett Favre did in person, I didn’t see what Favre did (because back then I was a little child, pre-teen and early teens back then). And Debbie, don’t expect Packer fans to realize what Favre did in his younger days, afterall it’s “Wisconsin”, another so-called blue-state filled with left wingers (there are some conservatives in Wisconsin, just as there are some conservatives in New York where I live) who support democrats, the unions, etc.

“A nation is identified by it’s borders, language & culture!”

Unfortunately, I’m not surprised by this. We simply look up to the wrong people as heroes. The truly sad thing is that the only reason Favre was booed last night was because he plays for the Packers’ hated rival. If Favre was still a member of the Packers, I’m afraid most of what you would hear would be cheers. Just win and everything is great.

Hey, OJ committed murder, robbery, and assault, and he still has legions of fans.

I have to second the person who wrote about Brooks Robinson & Unitas. Indeed, back then, the O’s and the Colts had class act players…look at Cal Ripken.

Now, due to the butt kissing and idolizing of athletes at schools like the University of Maryland, athletes who get away with rape and robbery as undergraduates become pros and, like Kobe Bryant and others, get away with rape and robbery as adults.

Did you know that over 60% of the players of the NBA have criminal records (including arrests), for sexual assaults?

Did you know that a high school basketball player who forcibly sodomized a fellow high school student got a full scholarship to George Washington University in DC courtesy of the then president of the University, Robert Trachtenberg?

Did you know that most assaults and rapes by professional athletes are dropped, under pressure from University Presidents, governors, coaches and owners?

And we, the public, subsidize these athletes by paying for professional athletic stadiums. Yes, we taxpayers are getting raped by our politicians, who live in awe of these athlete-rapists.

Jon, Debbie is right that’s what they are. She’s seen them up close and sometimes quite literally as she has reported here.

Its enough to make a decent human being sick. They get away with it because one of the idols in our post-modern society in the worship of the human being.

Jews are forbidden to worship idols. And in the case of celebrities, our public worship of them blinds people to the fact not all of have have admirable qualities.

Like the Favres and others who pass for what people consider to be pro athletes they days.

No, um – they aren’t and will never be.

NormanF on October 25, 2010 at 6:52 pm

Men with power are known get women to service because power is an aphrodisiac.

That said Brett Favre is no hero, whatever his public image is to the contrary – and Debbie quit being a sports agent in no small part out of a desire not to be propositioned by the pro athletes she had represented. It comes with the biz that women are expected… well to be there for men. And the money she was making wasn’t worth it.

Favre is the reason why she’s left it for good and is never looking back.

As far as most fans are concerned, performance on the field of play is all that matters. Barry Bonds was an overblown, egotist whose home run records are definitely questionable due to the steroids issue. Nonetheless, the Giants’ fans cheered the guy on, as did the local media when it was happening. That he was a cancer on the Giants was acknowledged, but hey, he filled the seats so the management kept him on until the records were broken, after which he was released. Says more about the owners/management of ball teams than the fans, I guess, so maybe both are culpable?

That said, the single season home run record really still belongs to Roger Maris, as Sosa and McGuire were also tainted.

Picking on BF’s daughter just because he’s a (reported) scumbag, and she had an out-of-wedlock baby is just low. It’s not like she’s capitolizing on her daddy’s fame or making headlines for commiting crimes. Leave the kid alone!

I’m suprised you’re not talking about Jenn Sterger herself. Now I’m no brett farve fan and what he did was wrong on many levels. But if you do some rsearch on Jenn Sterger, I’m sure you’ll have a field day bashing her as much as I was holding back my drool over her.

Squirrel3D on October 25, 2010 at 9:50 pm

I can see why Favre hit on Jenn Sterger.

It is me or does she resemble the actress who appeared in the Suomo Omni “how do you do it” commercials?

Sad to say, its like the woman he already has a life with is not enough for him.

And yes, I do think Debbie would have a field day with her since as she wrote above, its no secret many female reporter-rettes are in the sport biz for one and one reason only: to sleep with hot guys.

NormanF on October 25, 2010 at 10:16 pm

I, too, lived in Wisconsin, far more recently than Debbie, and Brett Favre was always hanging around in Milwaukee hitting on women in bars along with some of his teammates. It was disgusting, since he and his wife were always playing up the “great marriage” and “family man” image for the press. There is a reason she attends all of his games, home and away. It’s because she can’t trust him out of her sight.

Why doesn’t this overgrown adolescent just retire and stop humiliating himself and his family?

DG in GA on October 25, 2010 at 9:54 pm

Agreed.

Some people fall short of potential greatness. I mean not the public accomplishments they might have but in establishing their character and reputation. That doesn’t come natural to every one but its those people who keep it no matter what that are the people I’d most admire.

NormanF on October 25, 2010 at 10:11 pm

It should be remembered that these men get their big paydays because they have a specific skillset that is rare.

Outside of that, they are just like the rest of humanity. Some are jerks, some are nice, some are mean, some are humble. It gets more attention obviously because there is so much more spotlight on what they do as opposed to what you or I do.

Think about it. Most people at their workplaces don’t care if the guy down the hall is a womanizing dirtbag. Or care if the lady sitting in the next cubicle over is a tart.

It’s big news when Pro Athletes do it though because they’ve been (incorrectly) put on a pedestal due to physical ability. And people are SHOCKED when they find out they aren’t perfect just because they can throw a 99 mph fastball or read a zone-blitz and make the hot read.

Thank you for the reporting Debbie. I was working at my job when a customer told me that his best friend’s wife had an affair with Favre. He said that the best thing that the Packer’s ever did was getting rid of Favre. I could tell on Favre’s face in his last year(s) with the Packer’s that he really didn’t give a damn(High definition tv for you).

It makes me wander about one of Favre’s teammates Mark Chumura. Was there more to it than reported?

The sad part about Pro and College Athletics is that it attracts too many pussies for all the wrong reasons.

I told Kevin _ _ _ _ _ _ this last year that I could not afford to go the games because it costs too much and number 2 I don’t do hero worship. He said I totally understand and I don’t blame you. He has since left the NFL.

Debbie, as a former professional rock musician, I dispute your opinion that pro athletes are the “lowest life forms on the planet”. That title was, is, and always will be accorded to . . . you guessed it . . . rock musicians! No other “idle” profession can even approach the obnoxiousness, narcissism, hubris, or just plain sliminess of my kind. Please, retract your misinformed statement at once!

Graty Slapchop on October 26, 2010 at 5:41 pm

I have seen the pics; Favre has nothing to brag about.

Ropeadope on October 27, 2010 at 3:21 am

I wondered what took Debbie so long to comment on this story involving her old school chum
I don’t do hero worship but I do like football and these events and e-mails took place two years ago in 2008 what took Jenn Sterger so long to present this information to the NFL. This past summer the New York Jets was on the HBO reality show about the players and their training camp. Earlier this season another creative beautiful bimbo was shocked that players may’ve googled her while she measures their muscles and other appendages. Debbie even commented on this incident when it occurred.
My point to the NFL and the Jets is stop hiring young attractive bimbos to work in the locker room and interact with horny players if you want to stop these cases of fraternization. You never have these problems coming out of Pittsburgh or Kansas City.
I guarantee there will be a new reality show promoting “The Real Sluts of the NFL” or something like it. Bret Favre probably didn’t have to force Jenn to give up her phone number.

Anthony on October 27, 2010 at 6:44 pm

The videos are funny and you are right. But when it comes to watching sports it is live entertainment of athletes at work. I am not cheering on their personal behavior. I can separate the two. Between the lines Favre throws it all on the line. This last weekend just showed what a heart he has when he plays ball. Fractured ankle bones, limping on the field and he can still bring it. Yes he lost, but if I was his teammate I would go all out for that guy. What an inspiration on the field. Though it doesn’t correlate with his personal life.

CaliforniaScreaming on October 28, 2010 at 2:20 am

What’s the purpose of adding professional athletes in the generic sense to your ever-expanding hit list, Debbie? Your shtick as an arch-Zionist has been to attack Islamic culture and Muslims in particular. You’ve done this in racist fashion in defense of Israel’s criminal conduct irrespective of its impact on America for years now. You certainly can’t be said to be doing it successfully. The entire Israel Lobby, of which you are a tiny cog, is on the defensive. Is that why you add softer targets? Is it in order to keep your “outrage” quotient up in a falling market? Why else would you be changing the subject?

Most American men who follow professional sports would prefer to judge the great Brett Farve as an athlete rather than being constantly barraged by your brand of faux hand-wringing about his multi millionaire family and his various lapses from *domestic* grace.

Cazador on January 6, 2011 at 4:27 pm

So all pro athletes are scumbags. That is incredibly stereotypical and sexist
