So, NOW, Joe Wilson Wants to Shut Up

By Debbie Schlussel
After going on and on and on and on and on and on and on to any and every party that would listen–about how his “beautiful wife” Valerie Plame was outed as a CIA agent–former Ambassador Joe Wilson, a pan-Arabist, anti-Israel fanatic, is now trying to keep mum.
After demanding an investigation and prosecution of the source of the leak that his wife worked for the CIA, Wilson is now asking the judge in the trial of former White House aide I. Lewis “Scooter” Libby–the only indictee as a result of the investigation–not to force him (Wilson) to testify.
Karma is a bitch, Joe Wilson. You asked for it. Now, you got it.
There is absolutely no reason why Wilson should not be forced to testify as anyone else in his position would be required to do.

Laughable! These two twits couldn’t find enough red carpets to walk on or camera lenses to mug for the entire year, 2004. Just look at these two in that Vanity Fair picture: They look like a couple of Don Henley and Sharon Stone impersonators.

This sham of a prosecution should have been deep-sixed long, long ago. One can only hope that the judge is allowing this b.s. to continue so that Wilson, his wife, and all their sleazy pals are forced to testify. THEN we’ll see who is most forthcoming.

I hope Libby files a countersuit against these two to recover legal expenses and damages.

You see you forget. Even if he found have been a crack addict his wife was a PROTECTED CIA agent. A crime has been committed. Someone leaked ILLLEGALLY information that put a operative of the United States government in danger and nobody has done a investigation into why. Do you question the character of the husband of a woman who gets raped on the street? NO. You do an investigation. Yet again, You have to look at the motives of this character smashing.

Bizarre, “joecitizen”, simply bizarre.
Libby wasn’t even charged with any “outing” because old Val WAS “out”.
Phew!

As El Rushbo pointed out today–Clinton cronie Sandy Burglar gets a free pass for stealing classified documents regarding 911 like a sleaze from the national archives–stuffing them in his pants and socks–and he gets no penalty–but Scooter Libby gets millions of dollars in legal bills to still defend himself for a process error allegation on an investigation where NO CRIME WAS EVER COMMITTED. What the heck is going on?
Take Wilson and run put him in the witness chair and make him finally tell the truth–he is lying scum bag who ruined a good man’s life–and worse with his BS. Nail this lying slime.
Joe Citizen–you are misinformed–read Rocketman’s correction of your lie–Plame was out–not by Libby. Yet, you do make a good point that Wilson may actually be a crack addict.

Joecitizen:
There is no longer any mystery to this story. The leaker was DEPSECSTATE Richard Armitage and he came clean five days into the investigation. Fitzgerald was informed and induced Armitage not to go to the White House with his confession. Fitzgerald had the full support of Colin Powell in this cover up. The fact that Plame was connected to a CIA front was not revealed by anybody in the White House or through Armitage. Wilson inadvertently revealed the connection. There is not crime here except prosecutorial misconduct and perhaps obstruction of justice by Powell, Armitage and Ftizgerald. Wilson doesnít want do testify because in the end he will not perjure himself. He will tell the truth as he did at Congressional hearings. LIbby will be aquitted.
Fitzgerald is probably continuing on in the prosecution for two main reasons. He needs a conviction to justify the expense of an investigation that was over when Armitage confessed and he probably fears that he may be subject to legal action if he drops the case.

You are so naive. Does the name Aldrich Ames ring any bells?
It should because he is the one that first outed Valarie Plame after his arrest for espionage in 1994. That is why she returned from Europe and went to work in Langley because her cover had been compromised by a spy.
BTW-Do you actually think that an undercover agent walks in the front door of the CIA is plain view of every foreign service that has photographers posted there 24/7?
