Why is Catholic Church Enabling, Aiding Islamic Immigration?

By Debbie Schlussel

When Pope Benedict made a very mild criticism of Islam a few years ago, I warned that, in fact, he’s a hypocrite.  I told you that the Catholic Church actually panders to Islam and sharia all over the world, not just in its attacks on Israel, but in inviting some of the most extremist, anti-Christian Muslims to hang with the Pope at the Vatican.

popekeffiyeh.jpg

Recently, the Los Angeles Times noted that even in Rome, home to the Vatican, the Catholic Church actively panders to Muslims and accomodates–even promotes–Islam, going so far as to remove pork from its soup kitchens to accommodate Rome’s Muslim illegal aliens.  This Islamo-pandering isn’t just a danger to Catholics.  It’s a danger to all of us.  So, why is the Church doing that?  Is it political correctness or a foolish belief that, “if we’re nice to them, maybe they’ll convert to Catholicism”?  I don’t know.  Either way–and regardless of the reason–this is a danger to the West, in this case, Italy. When people tell me Sicily is still ruled by the mob, I tell them, no, it’s now ruled by Muslim immigrants who are fast becoming the majority there. We can thank the Catholic Church for making it easier.

Visually speaking, the John Paul II Canteen is more IKEA cafe than soup kitchen. Tucked away in a pleasant hillside neighborhood in Rome, it has clean lines, attractive furniture, track lighting and framed photographs, making it a welcome oasis for the immigrants who stream in daily from shelters, homeless camps and overcrowded apartments.

Strolling down the cafeteria line on a recent day, canteen coordinator Maurizio deStefano boasted about the quality of the free food. . . .

“The thing is,” he said, “there are so many Muslims that the menu often doesn’t have pork on it.” . . .

Muslims are the largest group of immigrants in Italy. Still, as the name suggests, the John Paul II Canteen is run by Roman Catholics, not Muslims. Therein lies an interesting dynamic.

In Europe, as in the United States, the Roman Catholic Church has assumed a leading role as a protector of, and advocate for, immigrants. But whereas the largest bloc of migrants to the United States are Catholic, the majority of European immigrants are Muslim. . . .

European nationalists, Catholics among them, worry about the Islamicization of Europe, but the Vatican itself has been steadfast in its support for immigrants. . . . In 2008, the government began a crackdown on illegal immigration, and last year, the Italian Parliament passed legislation that established stiff fines and allowed the government to detain undocumented immigrants for up to six months without charge.

The Catholic Church strongly opposed those measures, even branding the package of laws a “sin.”

This is absurd, especially given that the Vatican recently released a report decrying the persecution of Christians in Muslim countries (and blaming Israel for it). Pretty soon, the Vatican will have to decry the persecution of Christians in the Muslim country of Italy.

And this is the most absurd reason I’ve heard to bring more Muslim immigrants into your country:

Some European Catholics also suggest that the presence of so many Muslims, who are more visible in their faith than others in Europe, might, in effect, shock non-practicing Catholics back to their faith.

Increasingly, Catholicism is becoming a religion of the elderly in Italy, said Quyen Ngo Dinh, who runs the migration department of Caritas Rome, the Catholic social service agency that operates the John Paul II Canteen. “If you go to church, you will see that no one is less than 50 years old,” she said, with perhaps a touch of exaggeration.

She said, as Muslims become a larger presence in Italian life, “it becomes an opportunity also for Italians … to really think about why they are Catholic and whether they really want to be Catholic.”

HUH? Seeing more Muslims on your shores will cause young people to become Catholics? Hilarious. Good luck with that.  It will cause only these things:  more Muslim converts, more Muslim babies, more pandering to Muslims, and ultimately, a Muslim nation ruled by sharia.  There’s a reason one of McDonald’s advertising strategies isn’t that people should reconsider why they eat a Big Mac and try a Whopper instead.  It’ll kill ’em.

Wake up, Catholic Church. Wake up.

The Nazis didn’t touch the Vatican.  The latter day Nazis–Muslims–will.

Rick on July 29, 2010 at 3:33 pm

I’m a Catholic and the Church badly needs to wake up and crack down on liberalism in the Church, and the pandering to Muslim barbarians.

Also, there is a direct correlation between liberal dioceses run by liberal bishops and conservative dioceses run by conservative bishops in terms of how many young people worship. The conservative dioceses, like the one I live in–the Diocese of Arlington, Virginia, which covers half of Virginia–has numerous young priests and lots of young Catholics worshiping. Each year, many priests are ordained and all of them conservative. Young people are attracted to orthodoxy and conservatism, not liberalism. The liberal dioceses, including most of Europe, are dying.

There are a lot of great cardinals, like Cardinal Pell of Australia, who get it on Islam–most of them, though, from outside of socialist Europe.

Pope Benedict, sadly, is clueless on Islam. He is typical product of socialist Europe in his outlook, and he believes that you should pander to these barbarians. It won’t work, but when he and other political liberals in the Church wake up, it will be too late. Hopefully, the next pope will be from outside of Europe.

JM on July 29, 2010 at 3:34 pm

Catholics have never “gotten” it right. It exists solely to protect pedophiles and pander to savages.

JM–

As a fellow Catholic, I thank you for speaking the truth here. I would also point out that we shouldn’t be fooled by numbers, per se.

You might recall how right after Vatican II, large numbers of priests and nuns left the Church. Maybe their vocations weren’t really that sincere after all. Ditto all the “Catholics” who leave the Church.

On the other hand, maybe the presence of all those Muslims might just wake them the Hell up.

Red Ryder on July 29, 2010 at 3:55 pm

This is disappointing to hear….I hope the Catholic liberals wake up,but if they are anything like Pelosi, the devout Catholic that believes in the word yet condones abortion we are in trouble.

The sad thing about the Catholic church is that we are taught to forgive as Jesus forgives us for our sins and died for our sins…however pandering to a ‘religion’ of hate that kills anyone who is not one of them is not a good idea. I don’t think God would want us to pander to murders but stay as far away from them as possible??

PS
Off topic..saw an article in NYT [here’s the link http://www.nytimes.com/2010/07/29/world/asia/29imam.html?scp=1&sq=imam%20reality%20show&st=cse%5Dyesterday about a new reality show for muslims trying to reach out to the younger muslm’s 18-24 to become imam’s. The Catholic Church is dying. It was always a political animal and its accommodation with Islam is its funeral. It can’t say it wasn’t warned.

NormanF on July 29, 2010 at 5:02 pm

    NormanF,

Your claim that the Church is “dying” is not true at all. Look at the stats for Africa and Asia in the last 30 years, for example.

A better claim might be that it is “dying” out in liberal Europe. But even that would not be completely correct. The truth is that liberals in the Church are leaving or getting really old and conservatives are younger and staying, which makes the Church stronger. Conservative dioceses have no shortage of young and new priests whatsoever, and almost all of them are conservative both religiously and politically.

There were many problems in the Church during the 70’s and 80’s because of all the liberal, post-Vatican II bishops. But they are dying out and being replaced by conservatives, and the Church is growing much stronger. Most real Catholics get it on Islam. A lot in Europe, including this pope, because of its socialist and pandering culture, don’t, unfortunately. They are more worried about being called “racists” than standing up against Islam, and that is sad.

Also, if someone claimed that Judaism has “always been a political animal,” that person would be an anti-Semite and bigot. To say that the Catholic Church has “always been a political animal” is not true at all. Let’s not forget that Catholics constantly and vigilantly defended Europe from the Muslims from the 700’s to the 1600’s. The direct threat to Europe then went away for a few centuries but has been resurrected by the stupid liberal policies on immigration by European socialists. The Church and the Vatican need to wake up, and hopefully they will soon before it is too late.

Why is the Catholic Church helping Muslims? It’s because Jesus wants them too. I’m surprised that Christians here were unable to give the correct answer.

Norman Blitzer on July 29, 2010 at 6:02 pm

    Norman Blitzer,

What does that parable on the Good Samaritan have anything to do with Muslim immigration and pandering to our enemy?

From the parable, you gather that Jesus wants hordes of Muslim barbarians invading Europe and supplanting the religion he set up? Liberals are so clueless.

JM on July 29, 2010 at 6:15 pm

“The Catholic Church is dying.”

If you are a Christian, Matt. 16:18 says it can’t die.

Rick on July 29, 2010 at 6:28 pm

As a Catholic, I AM ANGERED!

Bob Porrazzo on July 29, 2010 at 6:30 pm

@ Norman,

For once I actually agree with your answer.

Why is there such a backlash against immigrants?
If someone is born into unfortunate circumstances, and wants to start over in a free country, why is this so terrible?

It is one thing to require immigrants to respect the traditions and customs of their host country and abide by the laws of the host country,(and this is where the host countries should direct their focus).

It is quite another thing to try to tempt hungry immigrants away from their traditions, and it is very understanding and considerate of the Church to see the ‘hungry’ part of the person and provide food that the person can eat without guilt.

(It might even cause some Muslims to wake up and see the stark contrasts of a religion where the founder preaches love rather than hate, and if fact, this has actually happened when Muslims, on their own, have chosen Christianity.)

The Church has, and still does, condemn Muslim atrocities against Christians.
(It would help if they acknowledged Israel’s role in bending over backwards with self-restraint where no Muslim entity ever would, but this isn’t the point about the porkless menu, and I can’t find any fault with the Church’s approach to the menu part.)

exdemexlib on July 29, 2010 at 6:30 pm

Islamic writings from many centuries ago spoke of first taking Constantinople, then taking Rome. Well, they successfully took Constantinople (now Istanbul). And Rome remains a target.

Raymond in DC on July 29, 2010 at 6:47 pm

*It is one thing to require immigrants to respect the traditions and customs of their host country and abide by the laws of the host country,(and this is where the host countries should direct their focus).*

Exdemexlib,

Good luck doing that with Muslims. It will never happen. All Muslims are like this guy, who wrote the following obnoxious op-ed yesterday in the Washington Post: http://newsweek.washingtonpost.com/onfaith/panelists/muqtedar_khan/2010/07/islamic_shariah_is_based_on_the_ten_commandments.html

You really think Muslims will be happy and will integrate into Western society? They will never be satisfied until they have sharia law and everyone else has submitted to them, as the op-ed demonstrates.

*It is quite another thing to try to tempt hungry immigrants away from their traditions, and it is very understanding and considerate of the Church to see the ‘hungry’ part of the person and provide food that the person can eat without guilt.*

A rational human being would be grateful; a Muslim will never be.

*(It might even cause some Muslims to wake up and see the stark contrasts of a religion where the founder preaches love rather than hate, and if fact, this has actually happened when Muslims, on their own, have chosen Christianity.)*

How many Muslims have converted to Christianity sincerely? Maybe 10 at the most out of millions? Will never happen. The most charitable thing the Catholic Church could do would be to encourage European nations to halt Muslim immigration, promote non-Muslim immigration, and send Muslims back to their countries of origin. After all, the Muslims must think their home countries are superior to Europe if they are still practicing Islam, and in that case how is it uncharitable to send them back to their countries of origin if Muslims think Islam is superior? If Muslims were sincere about integrating into European culture, they wouldn’t be practicing Islam.

JM on July 29, 2010 at 6:51 pm

The Catholics didn’t do it right during the last CRUSADES. Time for another CRUSADE with more firepower.

codekeyguy on July 29, 2010 at 7:06 pm

I grew up a catholic and believe me, the religion is a cult of “legalism, ritualism and now, universalism.” In the name of “social-justice,” the Catholic clergy ignore the words of Jesus: “render unto Caesar, things that are Caesar’s, render unto God things that are God’s.”

Furthermore, speaking of “social-justice,” the book of Exodus tells us not we’re to judge indiscriminately between rich and poor.

But then again, most catholic congregations don’t read a bible anyway- this is where examples of man-made ritualism come in: purgatory, Ash Wednesday, praying to the Blessed Mother…to name a few. To be fair about it, this is par for all denominations.

Now, the church is going ecumenical- isn’t that nice and PC? By uniting with Islam, you can all sing “kumbaya” and hate Jews together.

patrick on July 29, 2010 at 7:13 pm

Get a clue Patrick. Have YOU read the Bible? Our prayer to the Blessed Mother, the Mother of God, is essentially a quote from the Bible…Hail Mary full of grace, the Lord is with thee, etc., are taken straight from scripture.

Have you been to a Catholic Mass? Where do you think the readings come from?

This proves Bishop Fulton Sheen right when he said that there are many people in the world who hate what they think is the Catholic Church, but very few who hate what actually is the Catholic Church.

Chris on July 30, 2010 at 10:01 am

Is there anybody who says that any public church is anything other than a total fraud? I grew up Catholic, and thought that all Churches no matter the denomination, was a true church of God, until I woke up and found out that NOT ONE PUBLIC CHURCH or SYNAGOGUE IS A TRUE CHURCH of God, because they are ALL 501(c)93)nonprofit corporations & get their authority from the IRS, NOT from Jesus. (this was even before I knew about the Pedophile catholic priests who prey on kids)
Wake up people, your trying to be saved in the wrong church! Your worshiping & praying to the Pagan Idols & Priests you idiots!
Remember the story about Jesus & the 10 Lepers? ONLY ONE OUT OF the TEN KNEW WHO THE TRUE PRIEST WAS! THE OTHER NINE IDIOTS WENT TO the PUBLIC CHURCH TO GET SAVED WHEN JESUS SAID “GO TO THE PRIEST” in response to their inquiry about how to be healed. ONLY ONE OUT OF TEN KNEW THE TRUTH! That ratio is even lower today I bet…

Rick on July 29, 2010 at 8:37 pm

While it is true that the Catholic Church is growing in Africa and Asia, it is also rapidly dwindling in the West. Partly due to low birth rates in Western Europe and partly because of a loss of faith. Islam has its eye on Rome in order to decapitate the Catholic Church. By about 2050 most of Europe will be Muslim and the Catholic Church will exist largely as a memory of days bygone. Eastern Europe will capitulate even sooner. It is difficult to believe that the Pontiff is unaware of what is transpiring and he is likely hedging his bets hoping that Islam will eat his ministry last. A dim assessment for sure, but an accurate one I believe.

William Stout on July 29, 2010 at 9:28 pm

Maybe Pope Benedict Arnold doesn’t think the Catholic church did enough to help the muslims in WWII and wants to give them a hand.

Jarhead on July 29, 2010 at 9:42 pm

Before Christ’s second coming the Church must pass through a final trial that will shake the faith of many believers. The persecution that accompanies her pilgrimage on earth will unveil the “mystery of iniquity” in the form of a religious deception offering men an apparent solution to their problems at the price of apostasy from the truth….The Church will enter the glory of the kingdom only through this final Passover, when she will follow her Lord in his death and Resurrection. The kingdom will be fulfilled, then, not by a historic triumph of the Church through a progressive ascendancy, but only by God’s victory over the final unleashing of evil, which will cause his Bride to come down from heaven. God’s triumph over the revolt of evil will take the form of the Last Judgment after the final cosmic upheaval of this passing world.

I am rather shocked here at the pettiness I see in some of the replies. This is not a fight between Catholics and Jews. Both are made of humans that are not perfect. I see the Catholic bashing in these replies while Debbie’s post seemed more of a warning to her Catholic brethren who do not believe in pandering to Islam. Would it not be smarter to see how to help those who do understand the danger to become the majority in their church rather than just show your overall hatred for them because of their religion? Debbie has opened an important door when she reports on what is happening, I suggest we take advantage of the information to learn how to help one another rather than tear each other down. I am none too happy about the Jews such as Soros, Marx, and Alinsky, but I would hardly bash all Jews because of the likes of them.

I am Catholic and am disgusted by the Catholic church’s pandering to Muslims. The Catholic church also supports open borders. Many Christian denominations do. So do most Jewish groups. Jews hold most of the blame for our Muslim problem, since Jewish groups pushed for decades to trash our immigration laws. They succeed in 1965. If our immigration laws were not trashed in 1965, Muslims, along with about 100 million other third world people, would not be here today.

For instance there’s disagreement wheather Jesus said: “I say to you, today you will be with me in paradise” or “I say to you today, you will be with me in paradise”.
      A miniscule yet huge difference.
I can actually see the Muslims point where they say the original Arabic(?) Koran is the only real one. Things get so easily confused and lost in translations.

People, while I am no apologist for Catholicism, the Pope is only infallible when he declares himself to be, which is extremely rare.

One relevant comparison that is almost never drawn: the Catholic Church is, objectively, very anti-gay. But it is also, objectively, very Islamo-pandering. Why? The reason, I suspect, is that Muslims are dangerous but gays are not. I think there is an institutional cowardice here.

skzion on July 31, 2010 at 12:22 pm

I have friends in Tuscany, well educated, pro-Israel. She tells me that Italians outside of Rome and moreso Milan are having a worse time with Gypsies. The police have their hands full with them being on the streets, accosting people for handouts and stealing. Of course, this isn’t all Gypsies but collectively there is a problem. So two possibilities, either Italians are distracted by this and don’t see the Moslems or the Islam is NOT overrunning that particular country.

Debbie, where did you hear that Sicily specifically is being taken over by Islam? Wouldn’t be the first time and actually Mafia concepts of honor and tribal loyalty, revenge killings, etc. are derived from the Islamic influence of the previous occupation. “Protection” money is simply jizya in Western clothing.

However, Italy as a whole is taking a stand against Islamization. 94 MP’s came out against IHH saying it has no place in a Western European country. I think doing what they can, and consistently blessing Israel has given them protection against the violent onslaughts we’ve seen in France and other countries.

Forget the regrettable ethnic stereotypes on “Jersey Shore” and “The Sopranos.” Start learning about what Italy is doing and start supporting her as the most vocal anti-Islam country in Europe.

The Church is NOT Italy and I thank G-d Italians have usually been anti-clerical and anti-vatican.

julia on July 30, 2010 at 5:33 am

I’m a Catholic, and often, I cringe at the statements made by church representatives, particularly at the diocese level.

The thing is, the church didn’t get into this situation overnight. There are still a lot of bishops/leaders rooted in place, who buy into the PC nonsense – including more than a few orders of sisters/brothers. In addition to moving on cleaning up the sex abuse enablers and getting rid of them, Pope Benedict has to concentrate on getting good, effective leaders who follow the principles of the church into the leadership pipeline. It does take time.

LindaF on July 30, 2010 at 7:15 am

Well, Vatican 2 is liberalism. Many of us could not go on to take vows under that when we were told we’d have submit to Vat 2 (to enter the religious sect/life – and not be a layman meaning a regular church go’er).

The RCC has been making a fool of itself for years. Look at what they did to Bruno and Galeio? They want your money – that is it. If you look to the RCC for faith you are deceived.

Look to God, look to Christ (for those of us who might be christian vs. Jewish) there is the real church. it is not the RCC.

The RCC is about AGW, money, power, status, politics…Think of it like the republican party: both want new voters and new supporters for their votes & money.

L on July 30, 2010 at 10:09 am

Let’s see… 1. Infallibility is only applicable when the Pope speaks EX CATHEDRA. 2. What are followers of Islam doing at the Vatican anyway? 3. If pork was removed from the menu for Muslims, was the same courtesy performed for Jewish visitors? 4. Why was the Pope wearing that scarf…looked like a PLA one? 5. Has the Pope ever worn a yamulka? 6. If anyone wishes to see whats going on with far left Catholics, visit http://www.lacatholicworker.org – you’ll see firsthand why I have issues with them – then research the Capuchin Monastery’s Soup Kitchen in Detroit about their mission that has been here for more than 50 years. 7. I DO NOT RECALL EVER READING ABOUT HONOR KILLINGS IN THE U.S. BY CATHOLICS OR JEWS, HAVE YOU? 8. Finally, when I purchased THE SATANIC VERSES years ago in Dallas, the clerk whispered that she had it under the counter. If you can, please name just one book that CATHOLICS OR JEWS have condemned and threatened the author with death? I really wish Muslims were absolutely free to speak their minds without fear of reprisals…an interesting perspective might reveal itself.

Dennis / Tampa on July 30, 2010 at 10:14 am

Dennis, you never heard of “The Index?” It is the list of books banned by the RCC and Church members are under threat of excommunication for reading them. This includes just about every serious work of literature, philosophy and a good bit of science. It also included The Talmud, Zohar and other Jewish philosophical writings. The thing is, the list is to prevent the “unprepared” from becoming “confused” by ideas and thoughts they are not ready to apprehend. There have been times in catholic history when a number of these books were burned and sometimes their owners went up in flames with them.

The church censors were still around in the late 19th C. and Giuseppi Verdi had to be very careful how he crafted his stories and choose librettists who could communicate his ideas without running afoul of those Inquisitors.

    mk750 on July 30, 2010 at 11:11 am

Oh, so to finish my thought about “The Index,” the RCC even included the Bible because they didn’t want the faithful reading it for themselves. It was not simply censorship of things that might be truly harmful like Marx and Engles Manifesto or Mein Kampf but anything that caused a person to think and question.

As I’ve said before, I’m against all types of theocracy, whether it’s christian, jewish, muslim, hindu, buddhist, etc., theocracy is a major problem across the world, it’s NOT the solution.

Norm B. – just to let you know, I converted to Catholicism and I am considering going back to my Protestant roots. I’m currently looking for the most conservative Protestant church to attend. What are your ideas, since you seem to know so much about Christianity?

Jarhead on July 30, 2010 at 12:53 pm

The Nazis had good reason to spare the Catholic Church and so will the Muslims when they have the opportunity. The Catholic church was in bed with Catholic Germany, kept silence to appease Hitler. The Church never was a great fan of the Jews (it wasn’t the Jews who crucified Christ, it was the Roman soldiers, but like the Nazis, they were only doing their duty).

Hey mk750, I really am not aware of the “Index”, as such, but was aware that the Church had banned various books, condemned them in fact, as was done for certain films, e.g. BABY DOLL starring a very young Brigitte Bardot. The Church made Galileo a heretic until he recanted, if I’m not mistaken, but a complete lack of scientific understanding on its part was the fault. Science requires the “scientific method” whereas religion requires “belief and /or faith”. But, ask most religions what they think of aliens from other planets and how the concept of “G*d” in their religious belief system is known to the aliens? Furthermore, ask certain religious groups to tell you the age of the Earth and how do they reconcile their age belief with science’s age dating? BTW…in 9th grade, students, at the private Catholic H.S. I attended, were required to read the ENTIRE Bible. Non-Catholics were exempted . In any event, I understand your point and would respond by saying religions are organized by MEN and, as such, they have foibles as do all MEN. It is, however, incumbent upon MEN to recognize and correct those foibles. What I see, read, and hear about Islam and Muslim societies leads me to believe that they have many foibles to address, but their dogma prevents them from realistically and objectively doing it. (Please read about Erdogan, leader of Turkey, and his comments re Moderate Islam vs. Islam.) So, my position is if non-Muslims keep pacifying Muslims, they will, like drug addicts, keep demanding more and more accommodations outside of Western, Christian, Jewish norms. Hell, even the Buddhas of Afghanistan were not spared by the Taliban. How, as the Great Satan, can we expect less hatred and contempt than is directed to the Little Satan?
The Catholic Church needs to awaken to realities and speak the truth of its mission, its relationship to other religions, and its program to rid itself of “the filth” as stated by Pope Benedict. No aggression by any religion towards other religions – all the while acknowledging the individual right to self-defense from physical harm such as what has been declared upon Pamella Geller – should be condoned.

“BABY DOLL starring a very young Brigitte Bardot.”

Actually it was Carroll Baker. She was also in “The Big Country,” which was one of my favorite westerns.

Dear Rick: I enjoyed THE BIG COUNTRY, though my father, of blessed memory, called it THE BIG COMPENDIUM.

Carroll Baker’s daughter, Blanche Baker, is an extraordinary actress, one of my favorites. She has never gotten the roles or the credit she deserves.

RICK…

Pardonnez-moi! I was 9 years old at the time. However, go to this link and learn that Bardot was accused of RACISM towards, guess who!?

LINK: http://www.answers.com/topic/brigitte-bardot

ps: Thanks for the corrective note…betcha a bar-bet could be made on that one…BTW, Bardot’s movie was “AND G*D CREATED WOMAN” and I would suspect the Church had its reservations about that one as well…again, only 9 at the time.

As I pointed out at the time, no matter what she said about Moslems, it wasn’t racist because Islam isn’t a race.

Dennis,

“I was 9 years old at the time”

I wasn’t even born. I just happened to know it was Carroll Baker.
My Grandmother and her sister, Esther, went to see “Baby Doll” in the theater, but, my mother said they walked out because it was scandalous. I guess they missed the memo from the RCC. The country was different place in 1956.

What a strange, strange, whorld we live in.

Norman Blitzer defending the Catholic Church, and pew Catholics bashing the hierarchy.

Shades of the fallen bashing and rebelling against Moses in the desert. And an unusual defender arises.

Wow.

Look at the great saints we’ve had down through the ages. Mother Teresa, Pope John Paul II, St. Augustine, Thomas Aquinas, Thomas Moore, and millions more! While some follow false prophets, and others old prophets, our religion was established and purchased by the blood and sacrifice of the incarnate Son of God!

Nothin’ is going to prevail against us!

It can be troubling for those of us who take great pride in OUR CATHOLIC CHURCH to see our brothers and sisters, our leaders, having to tolerate ignorant religious barbarians. Pandering to children of a lessor God, to something that is barely a religion. I mean, let’s face it, we’re better. Our religion is better, and an actual revelation. The final divine proclamation.

Islam has a relationship of fear with God. That’s it.

Unfortunately, some of us need a little bit more.

With their fellow man, Muslims are given to rash responses and violence. Hatred and murder, the false, but ancient religion of the Evil One.

The Pope has to be PC at times because IF HE doesn’t play that role he puts Catholics and other Christians in jeopardy in those Arabic and Islamic nations where these groups are barely tolerated minorities…

But I do believe we need a change in tactics, at least behind the scenes. Our Christian and Jewish brothers need protection from horrors of Islam.

I have never heard even a local parish priest bashing other religions, we were always told to pray for our separated brethren. So if you’re waiting for the Pope to bash Islam directly, it ain’t happenin’. Muslim immigration may indeed challenge sleepy Catholics.

Being surrounded by atheists and the MSM certainly isn’t working.

The Catholic Church is seeking merger acquisition of Islam to then delete the Jews and compel Christians to belong or likewise become extinct. That is the end game. The ecumneical church will submit to Rome and merge with Gaia, Hinduism, Bhuddism and all the others to make this a world religion near monopoly.

There are those who try to have a critical civil discussion here, bringing up points that need to be examined and some insight from personal experience. None of us here, Jewish, Christian or Atheist want to see St. Peters turned into a mosque.

But than, there are the others who do nothing but hatefully bash the church and especially Catholics. Honestly, I’m not too crazy about the ‘political’ (Roman) with ‘religious’ (Catholic) connection myself. So tell me, what’s your solution? What perfect Christian sect do you belong to? I’d love to join too.

I don’t want it. Go back and re-read what I said. I said I hope the Catholic Church wakes up BEFORE St. Peter’s is converted to a mosque-or a parking lot.

Miranda Rose Smith on August 2, 2010 at 3:17 am

      @Miranda Rose Smith:
I’m just saying I agree with you 100% and anyone (Jewish, Christian or Atheist) with any commonsense can’t argue that. A crescent over St Peters Basilica would be a crowning touch for Islamic world conquest. The Vatican needs to wake up or once again the’ll be calling for another bloody crusade to kick the Muslims out of Europe.

My comment wasn’t aimed at anyone in particular. I can get carried away too when the topic hits my Big Red Button!
Beleive me, Catholics are just as frustrated with ‘Rome’ as anyone else. Just sayin’ there’s no reason to hate Catholics because of the fools in charge, but a good honest open discussion is good for everyone, agreed?
One thing that everyone’s forgotten, especially this Pope, is how much Catholic blood was spilled fighting these islamic invaders, and now they greet them with food and open arms?!
    Truly disgusting!
But than again, it wasn’t German ‘catholic’ blood, and we know how much the Nazis loved them muzzies!
    ……………………ooooooooooops, here I go again

the list of similarities is almost endless!

The Catholic Church is not just the leaders, the Catholic Church are all Catholics, should criticize and blame these leaders specifically. I’m Catholic, I support Israel, and do not give aid to any Muslim. It’s like judging all Jews by the ideas of practitioners who say that Torah Jews should not have sovereignty over land, if not to live in peace with Muslims. something crazy.

Freddy C on July 31, 2010 at 1:10 pm

Remember that the Catholic Church will always be persecuted and at trial at all times. It is with the guidance of the Pope through the Holy Spirit and the Immaculate Heart of Our Blessed Mother that the Catholic Church will stay strong. Also, remember the words Jesus spoke to Peter when establishing the leader and Pope of our Catholic Church, “You are Peter, and on this rock I will build my Church, and the gates of hell will not prevail against it” (Matthew 16:18). Our Catholic Church will always stand speaking that those [Catholics] who prevail until the last day will truly gain his reward in the Kingdom of God.
