Buh-Bye, Dhimmi Pastor Robert Schuller

By Debbie Schlussel

**** Update: LA Times reports that Schuller and his daughter say he’s not retiring, but that it’s “symbolic” and he was merely “affirming” her role.  Huh? Wow, these people are the masters of double speak.  Hanging out with top extremist Muslims does that to you, apparently.  All the more reason to keep an eye on this dhimmi con artist.  End Update  ****

I apologize to Islam for the Christian Crusades of 1065, let us begin a new crusade of comrade and friendship, we are in the same camp. . . . I have never met a man of such spirituality and wisdom as that of your father. He is a spiritual giant

–Robert Schuller, TV Minister Charlatan Extraordinaire to the son of the openly pro-HAMAS/Hezbollah Grand Mufti of Syria, during his televised “Hour of Power” TV preaching.

schullerkuftaroschullersalehkuftaro

TV Preacher Robert Schuller w/ Islamic Terror Group Supporters, Syrian Grand Mufti Ahmad Kuftaro & Son, Saleh Kuftaro

Yesterday, Robert H. Schuller, host of the “Hour of Power” TV ministry, announced he’s retiring, presumably to enjoy all the money he’s ripped off from believers over the years.  And I say, good riddance.  This guy is the epitome of TV charlatan snake oil salesman.

And the snake whose oil he’s been selling is Islam.  As a Christian minister, Schuller is involved in something called CAMP, Christians and Muslims for Peace, and he’s been involved in preaching the BS “Islam is peace” message, since before 9/11.”  And after 9/11, Schuller stepped it up a notch. He did it in a post-9/11 appearance on ABC’s “Politically Incorrect with Bill Maher,” and during several ass-kissing “interfaith” trips to human rights abuser and terrorist host state, Syria.  And Schuller’s been doing it on his “Hour of Power” full time, with appearances and speeches by Sheikh Saleh Kuftaro–son of Syria’s late Grand Mufti Ahmed Muhammad Amin Kuftaro–to Schuller’s 10,000-member Crystal Cathedral megachurch. Kuftaro is an open supporter of Hezbollah, HAMAS, and sundry other Islamic terrorist groups. He’s as extremist as they come. If he’s peaceful and moderate, so was Hitler. Watch the videos below, which will disgust you (fast forward past the first minute of the first video).  I note the presence of self-hating Jewish “Rabbi” Mark Diamond and one of his fellow Jewish dhimmis, sitting in the audience.

I don’t doubt for a second that Schuller was likely paid off for this sickening tuchus-licking fest. Sadly, Schuller is passing on the family business–and let’s face it, to him that’s all this is: a business–to his daughter, Sheila Schuller Coleman, who likely shares dear old dhimmi dad’s idiocy on Islam.

Like father, like daughter? Probably. At age 59, she knows on which side her pockets are lined.

***

By the way, you should note that Schuller has hosted many so-called conservatives and FOX News personalities at his pan-Islamic church, including Mike Huckabee and John Ashcroft. A 2008 “Rethink” conference he held at his church and telecast by satellite around the world by Church Communication Network (CCN) included Rupert Murdoch and Ben Stein as speakers.

My grandparents watched him for a number of years. I never really paid too much attention to him. But, this obviously creeps me out to no end.

You know how the media turns themselves silly about the next person to emerge from “the closet.” After reading everything here, the more important question is, “Who will be the next person to come out as a dhimmi?”

cirrus1701 on July 12, 2010 at 2:02 pm

I converted to Christianity in 1979, and I knew this guy was a phony out of the box. There’s no excuse for not realizing how BAD and wrong he is on EVERY issue. Again, there’s nothing Christian about him.

I can’t imagine anyone watching him. YUCK! My stomach turns at the mention of his name. No way could I WATCH those videos… Sorry.

As goes Israel - so goes the World on July 12, 2010 at 2:15 pm

I’ve never paid attention to these “tele-preachers”. I’m Catholic but do not follow The Vatican (after not denouncing pedophiles or turning them in to the cops; falling into the “Muslims are our friends,” rah, rah B.S…I said later. I just read the good book. Billy Graham is still cool in my book, though). All others, with their T.V. shows and fancy duds…Nope. Sorry. Wolves in sheeps clothing, as far as I’m concerned (They say they want to follow Jesus, hey, J.C. was dirt poor. How about following that ethic?). Also, useful idiots are propaganda clowns and are willing to sell themselves out. At any price….When it comes to Islam, I follow Ann Coulter, “let’s invade them and convert them..” That’s how you make peace.

The Sarge on July 12, 2010 at 2:33 pm

I agree. I often wondered how these evangelist could have all this glitz and glamor when there are so many out there with nothing. I have never been a fan of Schuller. Something about him bothered me years ago. Just read the Bible and pray.

Armywife on July 12, 2010 at 3:00 pm

Billy Graham is the REAL deal – best evangelist EVER.

John Hagee is the REAL deal – best preacher EVER.

Thanks for the info., Debbie.

I’m a Christian and am aware of Schueller since he’s a big name, but this is the first I’ve heard about this and I am going to check it out further.

If this is true, and knowing how ruthless you are in fact checking I am sure it is, shame on him.

FYI, I’m not a member of his church or an active listener, but I do know he’s been involved in some controversy the last few years. He had initially annointed his son to be his successor but the money dropped off and he fired his son in 2008.

You are the best, Debbie!

Jeff_W on July 12, 2010 at 2:58 pm

The Sarge, “(They say they want to follow Jesus, hey, J.C. was dirt poor. How about following that ethic?).”

Actually, I disagree with that.

The Bible doesn’t teach that. No, I’m no preacher, but I don’t understand why people think preachers should be poor or low payed. I could cite numerous scriptures where it says to support those who teach, such as Galatians 6:6.

We pay $10 for a movie, we pay big money for sports and concerts, we pay big money to eat at restaurants, but yet preachers are supposed to barely scratch by and they are helping you find the answers that can revolutionalize your life.

Jeff_W on July 12, 2010 at 3:09 pm

Jesus was NOT POOR. His coat was so valuable that the Romans cast lots to settle who got it after He was crucified.

As goes Israel - so goes the World on July 12, 2010 at 3:15 pm

There are “teachers” and there are “preachers”. There are times you get them both in one. But, the New Testament forbids women from preaching. See? Schuller is a phony! His daughter, or any other woman, does not belong in the pulpit.

And, there is a HUGE consequence for those preaching or teaching wrongly. I stay away from it!!

As goes Israel - so goes the World on July 12, 2010 at 3:20 pm

rick warren has also been guilty of telling everyone what a tolerant place syria is and what a great guy the terrorist bashar assad is. as an evangelical christian i do not understand how they can be so blind.it makes you question what the agenda really is. shuller has always had lots of so called christian celebs on his show. there has always been a greasy feel about it.thanks for all you do .

Regarding the UPDATE,

“…he’s not retiring, but that it’s “symbolic” and he was merely “affirming” her role.”

She has NO ROLE under the New Testament. And, this is spin because he’s worried that the money will DRY UP once he’s out of the picture. His daughter has no draw (I heard her once justifying her failure to get into the medical school as God’s way to direct her to the ministry. Uh, no. You just weren’t GOOD ENOUGH to get into medical school. It is what it is.)

LOSERS!

As goes Israel - so goes the World on July 12, 2010 at 4:17 pm

Hey Jeff_W,

I mean, why, when there are so many hungry, with no homes or clothes, should these guys run around in late model cars and fancy houses? I just don’t think that was the value that Jesus was teaching or trying to teach. Maybe the way I put it came out wrong. I just think it doesn’t come across too well to be all dud up, spruced up and blinged up, when many in your flock are hurting. It strikes me the wrong way…I know you’re supposed to support those who teach the good word. I get it. But, that form of extravagance, from someone preaching the word of God is a little too close, a little too over the top, almost hitting the “Greed” in the 7 Deadly Sin list. This is me, I’m just giving a ground pounders view of the Good Word. And “As Israel Goes…” thanks for the info on JC’s coat. One does learn something new everyday. Thanks, take care. Go Debbie!!!

The Sarge on July 12, 2010 at 4:29 pm

The Bible puts it this way: Life doesn’t consist in the abundance of things.

As goes Israel - so goes the World on July 13, 2010 at 2:29 pm

Not another one! Nothing is as disgusting as a Dhimmi.

J.S. on July 12, 2010 at 4:29 pm

Schuller said “I apologize to Islam for the Christian Crusades of 1065”. What a moron. They deserved it then just like they deserve it now.

I will never apologize for the inevitable new worldwide Crusade against islam that must take place, I just hope it happens before they get nukes. And I hope the brutality that the good guys bring down on these raheads is 10 times worse than in 1065.

– For all of you ragheads out there that don’t get it yet, the good guys are non-muzzies

Jarhead on July 12, 2010 at 5:52 pm

I feel like apologising in advance for kicking his ASS, the doing it 🙂

    Robert Schuller is PUKE.

As goes Israel - so goes the World on July 13, 2010 at 2:30 pm

this guy Schuller was a fraud from day one.
He’s a money grubber.
Please don’t judge christians by characters like him. I know people who have risked their lives (and few who have lost theirs) going to G-d forsaken hell holes to reach out to people oppressed and trapped by Islam. Schuller (and unfortunately Rick Warren and co.) make a mockery of these dedicated people and their sacrifices. Doing joint broadcasts and religious services with “clerics” who preach hate and murder isn’t showing love. It’s more like “luv’ which as we all know is just a four letter word.

    This is anathema.

I finally watched the videos.

What fools sitting in THAT church. The Koran crap scrawling across the bottom was perfect. I’d like to hand out that information to muzzie lovers.

As goes Israel - so goes the World on July 12, 2010 at 6:38 pm

I’m always wary of political ‘single issue’ groups. They generally have a very limited agenda, and even if this agenda is conservative, their interests are often so narrow that they will sacrifice broader conservative principles for limited but immediate small gains. Examples are the NRA’s almost-endorsement of Harry Reid in Nevada because of a few earmarks. Of course many evangelicals are the same way; some, not all, will support illegal immigration if there is evidence, even scant, that the illegals are against abortion, etc. etc. Of course this lends itself to the grossest type of opportunism.

BTW,what about apologizing to the Jewish community for the pogroms associated with the crusades.

Little Al on July 12, 2010 at 6:40 pm

    Evangelicals supporting illegal immigration?

That’s ridiculous. Illegal immigrants are criminals!

As goes Israel - so goes the World on July 12, 2010 at 7:10 pm

I have mentioned here before the theology Schuller comes from (Reformed, Christian Reformed), is anti-Semitic. They believe Elohim has forsaken the Jews, and all the Law, second giving of the Law, and promises (to Jews) now apply to Christians. They teach/believe in Covenant Theology (that their off-spring are born into the promises & the Law). Of course, they pick & choose the parts of the Law they observe.

Jesus & His disciples were all probably (somewhat) well off, being ~ 30 years old, single, and employed.

Dr Dale on July 12, 2010 at 6:53 pm

God does not BREAK COVENANT. And, everyone should be grateful for that. He has not forsaken Israel and never will.

    Schuller is a real nut.

As goes Israel - so goes the World on July 12, 2010 at 7:13 pm

Whatever Robert H. Schuller is preaching it ain’t the Gospel.

For years, New Ager Rev. Schuller has been shielding people from the Gospel, with its power to convert them. His congregants are disciples of Schuller, they don’t even know Jesus. The self-indulgent reverend sent his own bible preaching son packing…but is tripping all over himself to partner up with Islam. Captain Gooey actually believes that his Half-Hour of Power ministry is of worldwide importance…when it is actually a dwindling local phenomenon.

There’s no fool like an old fool.

Schuller was quick to “adjust” God’s message, even in the early days…because certainly the syrupy reverend just wasn’t comfortable with it.

Anyway, what does it matter? Rev. Schuller’s ministry has always been one of auto-suggestion, rather than any authentic calling from God.

Only the dolts were fooled.

The Canadien on July 12, 2010 at 8:23 pm

The word “Cult” comes to mind.

As goes Israel - so goes the World on July 13, 2010 at 11:58 am

That was almost too annoying to watch…my stomach got sick. Total propaganda from the religion of peace again.

Angela04 on July 12, 2010 at 8:40 pm

Schuller is an idiot. The Crusades began in 1095, not 1065. The Crusades were a response to Islamic encroachment and conquest of Christian peoples throughout the Mideast and beyond. The Crusades were initiated to protect the Byzantine Empire (now Turkey) from Islam. If the Crusades had been successful, we would all be better off now. They were only partially successful. They halted the spread of Islam long enough for Genghis Kahn to attack from the East and gut the caliphate. Too bad they could not save India or save Turkey in the long run. Pope Urban, Saint Bernard, St. Louis and Richard the Lionhearted were among the heroes of that era.

Perhaps un-Christian of me, but I always thought Schuler was a Dipshit.XMAS ornaments of TV. Remember a couple of years back he had an incident with a flight attendant (flying first class naturally) over a bowl of fruit? He was out-of-line and he did get some form of punishment as I recall. The father/son split reminded me of Garner Ted Armstrong & Herbert W. Armstrong of many years past.

#1 Vato on July 12, 2010 at 9:21 pm

Flying first class? That about says it all, doesn’t it?

As goes Israel - so goes the World on July 13, 2010 at 2:36 pm

Debbie summed it all up quite nicely, it is only business to him. And if the devil offered the money to back him then Schuller would be dealing with…oh, wait a minute….

Penelope27 on July 12, 2010 at 9:51 pm

First off, I don’t believe in tarring everyone with the same brush. There are stupid believers, stupid atheists/agnostics, stupid politicians everywhere, just as there are those who are smart and reasonable. Give everyone the benefit of a doubt, but keep a gun handy.

Now, here’s the reason why no big “X” X-tian can be trusted (and why X-tianity is so popular amongst barbarians): this link.

I doubt that Dr. Schuller did it for the money and photo op. If you consider some of the supremist bent of some preachers (especially against the – um, JOOZ?), the devil you know is preferable to the devil you want to destroy.

Why do you think the Catholic Ustashi clerico-fascists tolerated the Muslim Handschar SS legions? Hmm…

But I’m just ranting. Add to this.

The "Reverend" Jacques on July 12, 2010 at 11:22 pm

As Goes Israel, a few columns back you said and I paraphrase; MK 750 is nuts.

Well, I want you to know that I am knowledgeable of every fact you’ve stated here, including that Jesus was not poor (his Mother’s family were the High priests after all) and I also happen to agree with every opinion you’ve expressed.

mk750 on July 13, 2010 at 6:12 am

Uh, how could someone from the house of David be High priest?

Also, Jesus was given a purple robe and a crown of thorns to mock him as the King of the Jews. He didn’t show up in a Caddy like Shuller or Osteen or whomever.

Frankly if he had money before his ministry it’s because he earned it. I know lots of ministers who deliver pizza and hang drywall during the week.

Pinandpuller on July 13, 2010 at 6:38 am

Tribe comes from the father. That’s why according to the belief, Joseph had to go to Bethlehem for the census. HE was House of David. Mary was a Cohen. Remember Elizabeth being married to the High Priest? They were cousins so Mary would have been a Cohen too.
The interesting thing is if Joseph wasn’t his biological father, he did not get into the line of Succession. So he’s either in as a mortal man who failed, or he’s Divine as the Son of G-d and cannot be Son of David because that IS literal in terms of genealogy. Messiah is to be a blood descendant of David.
Yeah, AGI didn’t specify how he wasn’t poor so you’re right.
He worked as a carpenter, which in Hebrew could actually mean a general contractor, for close to 20 years before starting his ministry. He also was supported by a number of righteous rich women. I forget which Gospel that’s in. He was an itinerant rabbi which was not uncommon back then because Jews did proselytize pre-Talmud. That is what he meant by “the Son of Man has nowhere to lay his head.” He didn’t have a home of his own but he had his mother’s home which actually might have been his legally although widows could own property in Israel. AGI dosen’t accept extra Biblical sources and that’s proper on matters of doctrine, but they fill in her comment about Jesus’ clothing. This was a very fine garment made by his mother. Clothing was expensive and it wasn’t uncommon for those of presumed criminals to be gambled for and divided by one’s executioners.
is being dressed in mocking garments has nothing to do with his wealth but as for Cadillacs, that’s exactly what a white she ass was in those days, so as he arrived ttriumphantly, he came as a king would on kingly transport.

While we know too many rabbis who earn money from being pulpit rabbis, this is against Talmudic teaching. RamBaM says it is an affront to G-d to earn one’s living from the teaching of Torah and rabbis should have gainful occupation apart from the pulpit. Jesus would have been a good Jew and done just that. As long as he didn’t ask for or expect the donations from his wealthy followers, it was fine to accept them.

I’m getting long here but I also want to point out that the disciples also weren’t poor. Peter, Andrew, James and John were prosperous. Peter, we know, had a nice farm outside Capernum. I live in this area. It was a lively and prosperous commercial center. They weren’t quaint fishermen dropping lines into the water. They owned a fleet/fleets of fishing boats and had employees. Call it Sea of Galilee Sailing Co., Inc. if you will.

    mk750 on July 13, 2010 at 8:58 am

“I know lots of ministers who deliver pizza and hang drywall during the week.”

That is shameful. If believers tithed (and that’s 10% of their gross earnings – not net earnings), this would not occur. Shame on those robbing God.

As goes Israel - so goes the World on July 13, 2010 at 2:39 pm

AGI, ok, now we disagree. Totally.

“First off, I don’t believe in tarring everyone with the same brush.”

First off, you just did paint eveyone with a borad brush with your silly link.

At least you are consistent with saying there are “stupid atheists/agnostics” by referring to Christianity as “X-tian(s).” Thanks for proving it by your silly and phony attempt to appear objective but then totally ruining the facade.

As we say in the South, “Bless your heart.”

Hello Jeff_W:

First off, you just did paint eveyone with a borad brush with your silly link.

You mean you follow Mithras and are offended? Sorry about that, boss. It’s just a viewpoint.

At least you are consistent with saying there are “stupid atheists/agnostics” by referring to Christianity as “X-tian(s).”

.

In the simplest terms possible: X=the Greek letter “Khi”, as in “Khristos”. Hence, the shorthand. And FYI, I also refer to Muhammad as a plural, since I’m quite sure there were already millions of him wandering back in the day.

The problem is that you and I and maybe some other people in this forum basically agree that religion today has lost its integrity. Which is the reason why I have no faith in organised religion: if I want spectacle (especially with Robert Schuller), I’d go to Vegas.

As we say in the South, “Bless your heart.”

As we say here up North, “God love ya’.”

Preachers in America need to wake up!
The only one I have heard so far who Gets is is
Franklin Graham…who said “Islam is evil” years back.
He got in trouble by his Dad(Billy Graham) for saying that–but then he always said he is not like his Dad.
Thank God he is not like his Dad!
Because we need some men of God with Backbone to stand up to Islam–It is Evil and there is nothing peaceful about it–NOTHING!
And it is because of stupidity, ignorance and those with no backbone in this country — as to why Islam is spreading.

Miss Truth on July 13, 2010 at 4:34 pm

“That is shameful. If believers tithed (and that’s 10% of their gross earnings – not net earnings), this would not occur. Shame on those robbing God.”

The Law was given to God’s earthly people, the Jews. The Law was not for the Christians, though they may follow it if they wish. The tithe was to support the (Jewish) priesthood. In Christianity, all believers are a “kingdom of priests”, I Peter 2.9

The great teacher Paul, earned his living as a tent maker.

Dr Dale on July 13, 2010 at 5:05 pm

Thank you for coming to God’s rescue 🙂 I won’t discuss the Bible with mk750. It’s pointless. She denies Paul and the New Testament.

Meanwhile, I wanted to share more information that will give you insight. The New Testament says that Paul was a tent maker BUT if you take it in its culture and historical context, Paul was actually a maker of Talit Prayer Shawls!!! The region was very windy and tents were not used. I have done a detailed study and found that (and the tabernacle in the wilderness study) very exciting.

I have studied my Bible more than any other book (I have two advanced degrees). It’s the only Book for me.

As goes Israel - so goes the World on July 14, 2010 at 12:31 pm

I Peter 2.9 says: “But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light;

Peter’s letter was sent to Jewish Believers telling them 4 things about Jewish Christians (that they are):

1. A chosen generation (Dt 7.6);
2. A royal priesthood (Ex 19.6)
3. A holy nation (Ex 19.6)
4. A peculiar people (from the Greek peripotesis, purchased not peculiar as in dress, speech or manner of life (Dt. 7.6)
