FREE Slurpee Day @ 7-Eleven, Today

By Debbie Schlussel

My favorite refreshing drink is free, today, at one of my favorite retail vendors.  Since today is 7/11, 7-Eleven is giving out FREE Slurpees at most 7-Eleven locations (find your closest 7-Eleven here).  Since it’s free, it’s a 7.11 ounce serving.  But, hey, it’s free (and with the amount of sugar in the non-diet Slurpees, 7.11 ounces is just fine).  If you have a whole family, it’s a great deal in this economy to bring them all for free Slurpee’s, especially in the summer heat.  Every little penny counts, right?  Refreshing, and it hits the spot.  Thank Heaven for 7-Eleven. Enjoy. And while you’re at it, read my pieces on 7-Eleven, which turns 83 today, and the Slurpee. Happy 7-Eleven Day.

I would love to have one right now. It feels like a kiln in here.

Good article.
I was watching the History channel(Not that I watch it much anymore due to it’s liberal takeover) after watching Pawn Stars. They did a story on the Slurpee. I’ve renewed my love for the simple drink. Whenever I’m in the Garden City Kmart I always miss the slurpee machine they used to have. So I hit the first 7-11 I can find.

Too bad there’s no 7-11 near my home Deb! If so i would take you up on the offer.

LOL I was just in one this am. I’m right in the heart of the “People’s Republic” (working) and I have been giving 7-Eleven my biz since “Starbucks” gave me a hard time for bringing in a 5lb dog in a kangaroo pouch. 7-Eleven is wicked clean here (in such a dirty part of the scummy city) and their ice coffee is the best!

Yay! I’m glad 7-Eleven is a good place because I’ve given them my exclusive biz while working in this commie capitol!

So disappointed to see you promoting Slurpees. Processed,non-food chemicals aren’t good to consume, even when free.

People with weight issues should also not be consuming or encouraging the consumption of a drink made of nothing but water, fake color and GM HFCS. Fat doesn’t make you fat, all those empty carbs raise triglyceride levels and that’s what does it plus a whole lot more.
Have a nice glass of ice cold raw milk if you want something healthy.

There is a new Diet Coke coupon available. How you get this one requires a smidge of work

Mt 7-11 ran out of the free slurpee cup sizes early in the day and weren’t giving any away by t he time we got there )about 4PM). The guy said each store got 500 cups and that was it. It was pretty irritating and they should have made this abundantly clear or expanded the promotion. Looks like 7-11 dropped the ball on this one.

Debbie, that’s a great deal and maybe I’ll stop a local 7/11 for the first time in years. Here in the Philly area we have Wawa’s which are a classier 7/11. 7/11 has people that barely speak English, Wawa you hardly ever talk to anyone that doesn’t speak English! They’re based just west of Philadelphia near the Franklin Mint, and you can find them as far south as NC. But I appreciate the free slurpee, haven’t had one in a long time (brain freeze).

Why do the calorie/fun prevention police always have to chime in? The average American isn’t like all you nanny state wannabes. If I want a treat, I will have one. Keep your “mommy didn’t hug me enough” issues to yourself and mind your own business.

I had banana, it’s just the thing after a couple of miles on my bicycle. (And yes, banana is one of the kosher flavors.)

7-11 = American Civilization

7-11s here in LA are primarily run by middle eastern types. Not necessarily all muzzies though, there’s a Sikh-run 7-11 not far from me. If it’s not around the house, it’s just around the corner, at your friendly neighborhood 7-11.
