PC Plagues Office Football Pools, Fantasy Leagues
By
Playing in an office football pool or a fantasy league at work?
Uh-oh. You, too, may soon be the victim of the whining, no-fun Political Correctness police. Yup, they’ve found a reason to hate football pools and fantasy leagues, too.
USA Today details how sniffling lefties have used sex-harassment/workplace bias claims to attack employers over the football wagers at work.
Employers can face lawsuits claiming bias if office leagues exclude some workers, such as women.
Next, they’ll be sued for having all-male restrooms.
Also, employees fired for using their computers to view online porn sued, claiming discrmination since some office pools are posted on computers. They absurdly claimed it was unfair that they couldn’t look up porn, but other employees could look up the week’s office pool results.
Incredible.

Well it was only a matter of time before a harmless office pasttime took incoming from the whining masses. Look, if you invite all to participate and some, primarily women, choose not to, where’s the basis for the argument? If the girls had a pool going over who had the hottest thong on at the office and the guys were cut out, can we sue?
The issue regarding looking at porn at work versus the office pool resorts is s stretch but, hey, if that alone can get you fired there should be far more folks out of work. Besides, if they’ll fire someone for that yet, in the case of a manager who totally screws up an entire operation, misappropriates funds, alienates every employee under his/her watch, or any other overt act of malfeasance doesn’t get the axe but gets promoted, the sky’s the limit in my book.
