REAL Security: Britain’s Now Doing it; When Will We?

By
Well, it’s about time:

The Times–August 15, 2006
Muslims face extra checks in new travel crackdown
By Ben Webster, Transport Correspondent
THE Government is discussing with airport operators plans to introduce a screening system that allows security staff to focus on those passengers who pose the greatest risk.
The passenger-profiling technique involves selecting people who are behaving suspiciously, have an unusual travel pattern or, most controversially, have a certain ethnic or religious background.
The system would be much more sophisticated than simply picking out young men of Asian appearance. But it would cause outrage in the Muslim community because its members would be far more likely to be selected for extra checks.
Officials at the Department for Transport (DfT) have discussed the practicalities of introducing such a system with airport operators, including BAA. They believe that it would be more effective at identifying potential terrorists than the existing random searches.

Mazel Tov. Britain now gets it. When will George Bush, Michael Chertoff, and Norm Mineta’s successor?

The UK has its PC weaknesses but sometimes they can get through it to do the right thing. Racial profiling? Anything is better than the inane wasteful political correctness in America’s homeland security setup that treats all threats the same. Debbie, if you were in charge, that would all be different. Sometimes, I think people who know what does need to be done are kept out of public life on purpose and that’s why we have incompetents running the government. Mediocrities like Michael Chertoff and whoever gets to be named to the Transportation Department. I like to call it as I see it but my big mouth and my thoughtfulness will get me in trouble every time. I should just learn to shut up but I can’t tolerate mankind’s follies! 😉

Dear NormanF,
Lemme explain something to you about the Federal Government and how they work.
Remember a little storm we had not long ago called Katrina? You do?
Well, I’m a 28 year veteran paramedic with over 14 years firefighting experience and specialties in technical rescue, confined space rescue, search and rescue, water rescue along with several other rescue disciplines. Hell, I even teach a FEMA program on Mass Fatality Incident Response for our State Emergency Management Agency and have worked both mass casualty and mass fatality incidents. My boss has a similar background and has worked 2 major floods.
Well we received a fax from International Assoc. of Fire Cheifs stating that FEMA was requesting One Hundred (2 man teams) with fire service backgrounds who could deploy for 30 days to Katrina. We immediately filled out the FEMA applications for Temporary Federal Contract work and faxed them in to FEMA. Within 24 hours my boss and I had all our equipment assembled including arrangements to rent our own Satellite Phones (to be sent next day air) and GPS, personal hygene equipment, etc. etc… We even made arrangements to have our shifts covered by part time medics at our small rural service during our 30 day deployment.
Well, we received 3 phone calls from FEMA and all they wanted to know was if we filled our our applications correctly and say that they’d be in touch. (Mind you, they called us 3 times to verify the same info) Our first clue as to what was to come from FEMA.
Repeated phone calls back to FEMA up to 2 weeks into rescue operations, inquiring “WTF?” resulted in Unanswered phones at FEMA and a lot of I don’t know’s, and we’ll get back to you’s.
When we heard that people with less than 2 years experience as Basic EMT’s and absolutely no specialized rescue experience or firefighting experience from our state were being deployed instead of us, we finally said F#%$-It, and left them to themselves so to speak. The U.S. Coast Guard not only pulled their own weight but as far as I’m concerned more than half the weight FEMA was responsible for.
Kudo’s to U.S. Coast Guard! They’ll probably save our asses this time too! (and yes, I know they are part of Dept. of Homeland Security, but they weren’t always DHS and they have a system that works)
Now is there any wonder Dept. of Homeland Security, Secretary Chertoff and their ilk are so inept at their jobs regarding Terrorism?

Amen to that Debbie. Paul Sperry wrote a great book titled INFILTRATION, about the Muslim fifth column here in the U.S., and the political correctness that permeates the Federal Government. He does a very good job of pointing out the stupid “no profiling” policies of the Department of Homeland Security. As always, please keep up the good work!

Nothing short of bending over and taking it up the wazoo from terrorists causes “outrage” in Muslim communities. Their “outrage” should be aimed at their ‘brothers’ that continue to plan the deaths of non-Muslims.

Can you believe it?! The Muzlum savages in the U.K. are now “warning” officials not to engage in Muzlum profiling. These bastards are very good at giving warnings and issuing threats. The actions of their fellow murdering Muzlum scum doesn’t get their nightshirts in a twist when they bomb and plot, but people using common sense to protect themselves from these 7th century barbarians offends them.
These Muzlums have always pointed fingers at others to blame for their problems – it’s written in the Qur’ an and the hadiths – but it’s come time to put these vermin in their place.

I am for profiling and if extremists were middle easterners, fine. Strip search ALL OF THEM! BUT, not all these terrorists are middle eastern.

Here’s one, Chechen rebels crossing from Mexico to the U.S.? Correct m if I’m wrong but there are blond hair/blue-eyed muslims. Then there’s Abu Sayef. And then there’s the IRA and the KKK. Timmy McVeigh was a terrorist too. So what happenes when we concentrate on Middle eastern and some terrorists from Abu Sayef blows up our school, temple or any other place of worship, or heck, a white terrorist?
Now here’s another terrorist group who hate Jews (Offending comic)

And the creator of said pic is white. So do we place white people in prison for supporting terrorism? I just hope we find the correct action
