Since When Do American Presidents Diss Our Fallen Troops on Meml Day? Since Obama, That’s When
It was bad enough when Sean Hannity dissed the sacrifices and memories of our fallen troops by raising money in their name (the “Sean Hannity Freedom Concerts”) and sending a good chunk of it to his speaking engagement agent, his cronies that run a con-artist filled charity, and using it to pay for his private jets and fancy travel and accommodations for himself and friends. That was a scam which he continues . . . and continues to lie and obfuscate about. But he’s not the President, just a scam artist with a giant audience on FOX News and ABC radio.
U.S. Army Sgt. Chris Moore @ the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier
Now, though, the President, Barack Obama, is flat-out telling America he doesn’t care about our fallen troops. He’s skipping the traditional Memorial Day laying of the wreath ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Arlington National Cemetery. Hey, at least he’s honest. More honest than when he faked his Selective Service Registration, years after the fact, a story I broke on this site over a year and a half ago. So, I guess it’s kind of fitting that a guy who scammed his way out of registering for the draft, is blatantly F-U-ing his way out of honoring America’s fallen.
With the long Memorial Day weekend on the horizon, President Obama is finally addressing one of the great broken promises of his administration: his early pledge to return home to Chicago every six weeks or so.
In 16 months at the White House, the Obamas have been back home just once – in February of 2009. But they plan to make the trip over Memorial Day weekend, an official said. After arriving on Thursday night, they will visit with friends and participate in private events.
On Monday, Obama will make remarks at the Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, south of Chicago – missing the usual tradition of presidents speaking at Arlington National Cemetery on Memorial Day.
Since when are promises to a city of political thugs more important than honoring those who fought and died for America? Since Barack Obama became President. That’s when.
Unconscionable. Truly a travesty. But not surprising, given that it’s this guy. What an embarrassment for a President. Not that you didn’t already know that.
BTW, how long until Sean Hannity, who is still scamming off soldiers’ dead bodies, starts harping on this when he still hasn’t come clean about his own dissing of our fallen? 3-2-1 . . . (Michelle Fraudkin, who blindly defended Hannity’s scamming of America’s fallen is already on the case. Hypocrisy on the right is as bad as hypocrisy on the left. A damn shame. And plenty of shameless damned.)
