Sean, you’re ridiculous. the year is 2010, i think the racism and sterotyping should stop, it actually should of ended many years ago, considering this great nation we live in, is diverse. I am a Palestinian-Venezuelan AMERICAN born and raised, and also Muslim. I have seen first hand what occurs in Palestine which, today is known as Israel. So to get into that topic, you have no idea what you don’t know. Yes, there are Muslims out there who truly are bad people, but their not true Muslims. They cannot consider themselves Muslims if they murder, hurt, use hatred and terrorism in the word of Islam, because those are sins. Martyr, committing suicide and killing of ANYONE of ANY religion is a sin. So, i hope you learn to open all your eyes, because the world, especially people who practice Islam are not bad, the .01% who are, Muslims of not accept them as Muslims anyways.

Of course Palestine (today called Israel) is the Palestinians’. If any of the American conservative/right took some history education they knew that by 1895 according to Ottoman population records 95% of Palestine’s population was Arab (Christian and Muslim). They’d know that simply by adding up the monthly and yearly numbers of Jews fleeing Europe and the Soviet Union in the 1920s and 30s (including the monthly caps on immigration set by the increasingly desperate British protectorate rule) you get almost 100% of the early Israeli population.

Immigrants taking over the country – an American ur-angst I’d say. Well it happened to the Palestinians.

So why exactly this hatred over people wearing “Jerusalem is ours” signs?

Why this bigotry over “terrorist Arabs” and their sympathizers when Israel is built on terror (you know, driving out the British by bombing predominantly British hotels filled with civilians could be considered terrorism by some).

Oh wait, reason, fact-drivenness and historical accuracy is not something the over-emotional American right favours.

Isn’t it possible for a beautiful Arab-American to both win a beauty contest and hold some primitive, confusing, and even disturbing views – and still deserve that victory? Is it fair to condemn her for her relatives actions during wartime? Does it matter who sponsored her and their immigration beliefs?

I have often read – both here and on Frontpage – your insightful, detailed, and justifiably angry essays about the mistreatment of women and stupid hatred of Israel. But here, my friend, you seem to take gone a bit beyond the reasonable. Besides, isn’t it better for American-Arabs to embrace American society – including beauty pageants – than fantasize about imposing Sharia and jihad?

On the issue of Plaestine (in my opinion) Israel lost the moral high ground sometine after 1967 and UN resolution 942, specifically on the day she moved Israel citizens into the Israeli military occupied West Bank to reside and populate the occupied land in so called settlements, a clear violation of the Geneva Convention (moving Israeli citizens on Palestinian captured lands (we went to war with Iraq when Saddam did it to Kuwait-

These settlements accordintg to some accounts are now home to some 400,000 Israleis living in military occupied West Bank (in what is perhaps the longest military occupation in recent history).

When the occupants of this military occupation cry out they are ignored and when they return the fire they are villified and called terrorists and when they attack us for being Israels’ enabler of its occupation we go to war.

It is time to let the Palestinians have their own state
once achieved they will have someting to loose right now they have nothing and have nothing to loose. The price to be paid by Israel is she will not attain the so called “greater Israel” an expansionist idea that was not hers in the first place.

We need turn the matter of a Palestinian state back to the UN and let them vote without using our veto power to block it and let it happen.

Yes,Dr.Haitham Masri, and he is no credit to his profession for in my opinion he preys on his own people and also in my opinion attends mosque for ulterior motives such as fishing for more nosejobs. I base this on how my late mother’s caregiver and now friend who happens to be Moslem and a mother of five daughters named Souad was treated.
