Israel to Jews: “Get Out of the ‘Egypt’s’ Sinai . . . NOW!”

By Debbie Schlussel

See, this is why I don’t “vacation” in Muslim Arab lands.  They hate us. (Plus I think getting beheaded makes me look fat.)  And it’s why I especially don’t vacation in Jewish lands given up to Arab Muslims in peace (of paper) agreements.  It makes them hate us even more.

DumbAss Left-Wing Israelis Vacationing in Egypt Targeted by Islamic Terrorists

The Israelis who vacation in the Sinai, unfortunately now part of Egypt, are the same idiotic Israelis who support land for peace idiocies.  They’re leftists who enjoy giving their hard-earned pennies to Arab Muslims who hate them, for the pleasure of enjoying a vacation on land that was once theirs.

And that’s why it’s never surprising that this is the first place Islamic terrorists target Jews.  The far left are always the useful idiots.  And useful idiots are always the first ones targeted for slaughter.  Thus, today’s Islamic terrorist threats aimed at Jewish Israelis vacationing in the Sinai.

Unusually harsh warning: The [Israeli] Counter-Terrorism Bureau issued a dramatic travel warning to Israelis currently in Sinai, urging them to leave the Egyptian peninsula immediately.

According to the warning, issued Tuesday evening, an immediate terror attack aimed at abducting Israeli nationals is expected to take place, based on substantive intelligence information.

The Anti-Terror Bureau urged all Israelis in Sinai at this time to leave the area immediately and return to Israel at once. The families of Israelis currently in Sinai have been asked to contact their relatives immediately and inform them of the unusual warning. . . .

Dozens of Israelis are vacationing in Sinai at this time, despite previous travel advisories issued by the anti-terror bureau in respect to a “grave threat of abducting Israelis.”

Of course, if Israel had never given that land up to Egypt in exchange for a tenuous, angry, brief “peace,” there would be no such warnings. And all Israelis–not just the stupid left-wing ones hanging out there now–would be enjoying their vacations (or drilling oil, as the Sinai has tremendous reserves) . . . without any terrorist warnings.

Ah, the “peacefulness” of terrorist attack warnings of “peace.” Thanks, Jimmy Carter.

And the worst of it is, Debbie, until we get it back, we have a beautiful resort city of our own on the Red Sea, Eilat. Just up the road from Sinai. It’s never been particularly religious and there was always freedom for non-religious Israelis. Now all the “guest” workers who were brought in are having “social” problems. Too many of them, not enough affordable housing and not enough work. Because they are ruining the city, tourists who would go there are not so there’s even less work in the hotels which is where they mainly worked.
Before someone comments about giving Israelis the jobs I want to explain.
Hospitality is a 24/7 job. Jews cannot work the Sabbath. Even if they are not religous, another Jew cannot compel or even ask them to work. That means hotels are always staffed by non-Jews, Arabs or guest workers, over the Sabbath. Every one, no exceptions. The Arabs know how to behave when it suits them and they can provide quite good service if it suits them. It’s a respectable job and service is on the level in many places as in a fine European hotel dining room but, this isn’t so with the “guest” workers and that too is part of the problem. They were brought to Eilat because it is isolated at the Southern end of the Negev and there are no Arab settlements or even citizens to do this work.

I agree with you Debbie, these Israelis are idiots but B”H they won’t pay with their lives for their stupidity.

mk750 on April 13, 2010 at 3:40 pm

What reality do you inhabit mk750? True, Eilat is a great city. And a great place for divers (only the two youngest in my family don’t dive and that’s due to age).

But the problem is that they (Eilat hoteliers) price themselves out of the market. I’m an Israeli who’s doing relatively well but even I can’t justify a week’s vacation during Passover at 6,100 US$ (two rooms for 2 adults & 4 children for 8 nights). And, that’s just for B&B. And it’s only a 4 star hotel…

Such a vacation with meals, activities and travel would have set me back about 8-9 thousand US$. And that’s a huge sum in Israel (and most everywhere else).

Eliezer on April 14, 2010 at 6:28 am

no need to be nasty, Eli, I said basically the same thing. Why are prices so high? Never used to be that way. When we went to the aliyah fair in 2008 prior to RETURNING to Israel, Eilat had a booth and no takers. It’s become a city of guest workers and their socio-economic problems. Because the hotels are not doing business, they’re charging a fortune. Eilat is also difficult to get to while the Knesset squabbles over which airline gets the tender. I was trying to suggest one of our biggest tourism assets is being squandered and destroyed for what?

* should have read: a beautiful resort city of our own on the Red Sea, Eilat,*which is going to ruin because of several factors.*

I remember the exchange of land for peace watching the flag come down and the new go up. I was hearing this echo in my mind from history about security and those who do not deserve it. As I watched, I summed what I saw, in one word saying it aloud, “Stupid”.

Atlee Yarrow on April 13, 2010 at 3:50 pm

I actually was looking at Eilat online a few weeks ago and thought it looked like a nice place to visit.

It never occurred to me that there would be “guest workers” brought in to fill in for the Hebrews.

Is every friggin western country on earth ruined with this ignorant mindset of using “imported” workers from places that despise them?

ebayer on April 13, 2010 at 4:30 pm

Correct me if I’m wrong, but I thought it was against Torah law for Jews to go “back” to Egypt.

David on April 13, 2010 at 4:37 pm

David… the Jews ignored Jeremiah and forced him to go with them back to Egypt… and there their women prostrated themselves before Asherah, a Canaanite idol! The more things change…. had Israel kept the Sinai instead of settling for a cold, fake peace with Egypt, the country’s lot would be far better today.

NormanF on April 13, 2010 at 5:00 pm

David, the prohibition against returning to Egypt was no longer in effect by the time of the first Exile (6th century BCE). It was, after all, no longer the Egypt of the Pharaohs. There was a Jewish settlement in the military garrison at Elephantine, and Hellenist Alexandria in Philo’s time was already home to the largest Jewish community outside Judea. The great Jewish scholar Maimonides in the 12th century resided in Fustat (part of today’s Cairo) which then had a large Jewish community.

And, to be precise, Sinai was only intermittently deemed “Egypt”. But Debbie is right. There’s no reason Israel’s Jews should be vacationing among those who don’t like them. That goes for Turkey too.

I think no effort should be made to rescue people who knowingly engage in such activities. Such assistance should only be rendered to legitimate victims.

As comedian Jackie Mason would say, “hamana, hamana, hamana!”.

Anti-Semites relish the reinforcement they get from “Peace Now” doormats. Self-loathers are loathsome.

“Plus I think getting beheaded makes me look fat.”

I got busted at work today because I was literally rolling on the floor laughing when I read this. Naturally, my co-workers had to come in the office to see what I was laughing so hard at.

All of the sudden, there’s 3 or 4 engineers (one is an Iraq war veteran) in my office laughing their asses off at that one single comment.

I will NEVER forget where I heard that one first.

Thanks Debbie! You are a treasure.

i’ve met people like that unfortunately. They will have a friend, some visitor from Egypt, and they just bask over the fact that they’re clinging to that person; the Arab has contempt for them, but they’re running around thinking what a great open-minded person they are. People like that have a psychic need and there is really nothing anyone can say to them.

ISLAM IS CANCER!

GBo on April 13, 2010 at 9:33 pm

I’m actually supposed to go on Israel this summer with a birthright group called Hibba (an zionist organization). I’m very excited! I just hope to have a safe trip there. I probably will. When my cousin went a few years ago, she was in a big building (forgot the name). There was a massacre on the other side of it. But she was fine.

Matthew on April 13, 2010 at 10:32 pm

Matthew, relax. You should have a wonderful experience.

What happened years ago was the fruits of the Oslo Accords, when Israel initially let its security pants drop.

    Regards from Jerusalem.

No, your looking fat relates to your actually being fat.

Darq on April 14, 2010 at 1:47 am

As an Israeli Jew, yeah agreed the rot set in this country back in ’79 when we followed the Chamberlain course of action and gave up the Sinai, back to the Jew-hating Egyptians. The Left are learn-proof, facts mean nothing to them. never will.

However several points, not all or even most of the Jews who vacation in the Sinai are self-loathing Leftists, trust me. I have been there and I am no self-loathing liberal, OK I will never go back there and haven’t been for ten years, but plenty conservative Zionists vacation there too, still. Actually plenty of the Bedouin there preferred the Sinai under Israeli control, plenty of them are genuinely moderate (of course plenty of them aren’t that’s the problem) and they really hate the Egyptians, they were much better off when the Sinai was part of Israel and many of them remember that and will tell you that, they haven’t forgotten. Many of them are dependent for a livelihood on Israeli tourists and they know the Egyptians will do nothing for them. In fact I have heard more anti-Egyptian sentiment fron the Sinai Bedouin than anybody else, Israelis included. Unfortunately well, Islam is still Islam, and nothing is gonna change that.

Larry70 on April 14, 2010 at 6:41 am

sorry to disappoint you. 15000 Israelis knew better. those not so much dumbass left wing Israelis live in Israel and not in Michigan.

asinai on April 14, 2010 at 6:43 am

Wasn’t there a little incident there, way back, having to do with slavery and plagues? Maybe my imagination.

And you mean to tell me that jews and egyptians cannot get along? wow.

It is almost like there is a history there. Who knows?

Christopher Nelson on April 14, 2010 at 7:08 am

It takes scares like this one to remind Israelis who vacation in Egypt that even though the Torah tells Jews that “You shall not hate the Egyptian, for you were a guest in his land,” the Egyptians have no reciprocal ideology working in the back of their mind, and IT’S NOT SAFE.
