Buh-Bye, Katie Couric (Unfortunately, Not Good Riddance)
By
In honor of Katie Couric bidding good-bye to “The Today Show,” this morning, in preparation for her new hosting gig at the “CBS Evening News,” we wanted to recount our least fave memory of perky Katie on “Today”:
Using the excuse that her husband died of colon cancer, Katie wanted to show us how simple and easy a colonoscopy exam can be. But she also wanted to show us something else. Fresh from a new personal trainer/guru’s fitness program, the live on-air colon exam began with the camera panning to her removing her thong underwear and pulling it down her legs.
Preparation for the anchor chair at the “CBS Evening News” or the fluff chair at the SPICE Channel? Can you imagine any other news anchor (say, Tom Brokaw or Brian Williams) doing that with his boxer shorts? Don’t go there.
Buh-Bye, Katie, but unfortunately not good riddance.
