FINALLY: After Non-Stop HAMAS Rocket Attacks & Murders, Israel Strikes Gaza
You know my feelings on this. They haven’t wavered over the years. Israel should flatten Gaza if they truly want to defeat HAMAS, once and for all. The repeated temporary air strikes and semi-incursions into Gaza never stop the HAMASniks and only strengthen their resolve. It’s like shaving stubble. It’s gonna grow back.
Something has to be done about the constant Kassam rocket attacks, the kidnapping of Israeli soldier Gilad Shalit, and the recent murder of two Israeli soldiers near the border, not to mention the recent murder of a Thai man in Israel by one of Gaza’s Kassams.
Still, can’t say I don’t like these latest fireworks, tonight, by Israel–finally, meekly striking back. The pictures are things of beauty.
Israeli warplanes carried out at least five missile attacks on the Hamas-ruled Gaza Strip overnight Friday, Palestinian witnesses said. . . .
Witnesses said four of the air strikes took place near the central town of Khan Younis, the site of a deadly clash last week between Israeli troops and Palestinian gunmen. The fifth air strike rocked Gaza City.
Major Eliraz Peretz, deputy commander of the Golani Brigade’s 12th Battalion and resident of the settlement of Eli, and Staff-Sergeant Ilan Sviatkovsky of Rishon Lezion were killed in that incident.
Following the clash a senior IDF official said the army would retaliate “at the appropriate time.”
Retaliation . . . best served cold and kosher for Passover.
According to the Palestinian witnesses, one of the target’s of Friday’s assault was a group of armed lookouts near Beit Lahiya, located in the northern part of Gaza.
Another strike, they said, targeted a factory in Gaza City’s Sabra neighborhood. In addition, a number of missiles were fired towards open areas in the Khan Younis area, the Palestinians reported.
It’s a start.
Israeli warplanes also targeted a metal workshop in central Gaza, they said.
Hey, a new euphemism for bomb factory: “metal workshop.” Very creative.
According to the Palestinians, at least one missile was fired at a Hamas naval police outpost in Rafah.
So sad, too bad. And here’s why it’s necessary to flatten these guys:
Thursday evening saw a Qassam launched from northern Gaza explode in an open area within the Ashkelon Beach Regional Council’s limits.
It never ends when your neighbors are jihadists, whom you gave a good part of your country’s beachfront property. Always comes back to bite ya in the butt.
