Tragic Detroit: Heroic Father Gives His Life to Save Mentally Disabled Son From Gunshots
When I read about this story in the local Detroit newspaper the other day, it broke my heart. This father made the ultimate sacrifice to save his son amidst the typical Detroit gunshots . . . in this case from an AK-47 in a fight over a car.
David Adams is a hero. He was a poor, working-class mechanic who got work through word of mouth and repaired cars out of his house. His funeral was today. But you don’t see many stories like that of this 35-year-old in our feminized, anti-male society. And sadly, this is what happens in Detroit every day of the week. I don’t look for it to change, only to get worse. Don’t believe the woman in the video who claims this doesn’t normally happen in her neighborhood. It happens all over the city.
(Forgive me for posting this report by Amy Lange, a reporter who is in bed with the extremists in the Detroit Islamic community. You can read about her lies here.)
Say a prayer for David Adams and his kids who are, tragically, now fatherless.

Gunshots fired on a Detroit street kill a man who ran outside to protect his mentally handicapped son. Now, his family is grief-stricken and calling him a hero.
35-year-old David Adams died saving his son. Tuesday afternoon, 13-year-old Joseph was sitting on the front porch of their home on Littlefield when someone down the street started shooting, firing an AK-47 at a car.
“As soon as he heard it, he ran outside, and he got to… Joseph,” said 17-year-old Aaron James. “He started blocking him, and he got shot twice.”
Instead of Joseph, two bullets hit Adams. James says his mother’s longtime boyfriend was a mechanic who always provided for his family. A father whose first instinct was to protect his child. As soon as Adams heard the gunshots, he ran out of the house to protect Joseph, who is mentally challenged.
“I thought it was brave of him, heroic,” James said.
“They were just talking to him, sitting on the porch having fun,” said Detroit Police Chaplain Carl Green.
“Could just as easily had been his child had he not gone out to save him,” said Detroit Police Chief Warren Evans.
Police say more than 20 rounds were fired during a dispute over a car in front of a home on Littlefield at Chalfonte. Another man involved in the shooting was hit and is hospitalized, but he’s not cooperating.
One of the few fathers in Detroit who actually lives with his kids and protects them. And this happens. It’s so sad. Rest in Peace, David Adams.
