The resolution to this matter would be for every Infidel who has a membership to Fitness USA either
A. Quit and get a refund,
B. Don’t renew when their membership runs out.
This will send a message to the next business who’s thinking of caving to the Intolerant Practictioners of the Religion of Submission (submission to the will of Mohammad – Allah was just an invention).
But, look on the bright side; At least the non-believers won’t have to suffer the ignominy of having to watch these wretched women work out.
Another benefit of this charade applies only to the women: Just think of all those honor beatings the women won’t have to now endure from their men for exposing some flesh in front of other men while working out.
Maybe that was the true motive behind this push in the first place.

If I belonged to that gym, I would enter the “women’s workout room” dressed in a shirt with a prominent Star of David on the front and maybe a saying or symbol relating to Israel on the back,a hat or prominent piece of jewelry a cross on it, carrying in a book to read to workout by; oh, let’s say a bible in one hand and a little light reading by Salman Rushdie, maybe bring in my portable DVD player and play a DVD of Theo Van Gogh’s “Submission”, and pull out a little snack to boost my energy during my workout, like a BLT or something else pork-related. The hijab-wearers would surely respect my expression of various freedoms and be tolerant and respectful of my displays of religion – as the same courtsesy has been extorted, er, extended to them, right? I mean, the women’s workout area was created to “accomodate different faiths,” right?

Everyone there should work out on ANY EQUIPMENT they choose. This was not part of their membership agreements and they do not have to live according to someone else’s relgion. I never agreed to live by muslim law. I’ll look at anyone I want to. If they have a problem, cover up.

1. The gym can not legally force anyone to work out on the “male” or “female” side of the gym. What are they going to do when male-female workout partners want to exercise together?
2. Any woman who feels embarrassed for any reason to exercise in front of men have the option of joining a womens’ only gym. There are plenty of them out there- including national chains.
3. No woman is forced to wear skimpy or revealing clothing during exercise. They are more than welcome to completely cover themselves if they so wish.
4. If I lived there and were a member of that gym, I would file a lawsuit. Anyone game?

Now, I did read the whole article and noticed the gym supposedly “verbally promised” separated sex work out days to these women (and possibly others). This is an issue. Of course, get it in writing- ALWAYS.
The best thing the gym can do at this point is to refund the remaining amount of money on these memberships, so the women can join a female only gym OR simply build a womens’ only section/facility.
My local gym has one, but all sexes may use the remainder of the facility at any time. Locker rooms, spas and tanning beds are also separated, which is nice considering I like to hit the spa nude. 😉

Those butt-ugly muslim “chicks” can have that stupid gym for themselves. If anyone here is a member of that gym, BOYCOTT it!!! Not only that gym but also other centers that have special accommodations for these mohammadens.
After all, the mohammadens are on global boycotts whenever we kafirs “hurt” their so-called feelings. Spineless business centers don’t deserve our patronage when they cater to the needs of terrorists and terrorist supporters and in the process shunt us out!
I’m beginning by boycotting anything that is made in Arabia. Lets kick them back to their sandhole. They can exercise in any makeshift tent in their deserts with muhammad as audience.

I’m sorry to all those under the influence of the group think phenomenon, jumping to the opportunity to join the crowd and bash islam, but is there anyone else out there who sees this claim as rediculous? Seriously, if there wasn’t a demand of women in general to naturally want a partition between themselves and their male counterparts then there wouldn’t be any female-only gyms to begin with. Some women are more modest than others, and there’s nothing wrong for asking a gym to accomodate their needs. If it was a group of femenists doing the same thing, would you still be complaining? Would you call those women radical terrorists? Since when was being shy and modest a crime. Some of the posts here are absurd. Many are saying angry things online that they would never say to the smiling faces of their muslim neighbours. Have a heart people, cmon.

Especially when they revere the mother of Jesus, who wears one. Think about it, if Mary were here today, decked out in her headdress, what religion would you think she was? Would you ridicule her for covering her hair? So what if women want to be separated? Only in Debbie’s mindset will being gracious and accomodating people’s beliefs be seen as weakness. In my book that’s called being a good host.

My paradise is in my faith, and nothing can wipe the smiles it brings me from my face.
As for freudian slippers, nice name by the way, i think it’s pretty clear that muslim females want separation in the gym room so they can feel comfortable working out without the head scarf, as well as to keep themselves and their bodies COMPLETELY for their husbands eyes only. On top being a noble act, it’s actually pretty romantic if you could see it from their perspective, but i’ll leave it to you as to whether or not that’s possible. In think it’s silly to think women here don’t hate being checked out by someone that shouldn’t be, and i don’t care what you say, not every guy in the gym has his eyes and mind focused only on the weights, and that they wouldn’t check out your butt while your back is turned (makes me wonder if you’ve ever been to the gym, or even on a bus). That’s just normal over here, in fact, there is the odd woman who may like it and fish for the attention. As far as lesbianism is concerned, i’m sure you’ll find less lesbian muslims than lesbian nonmuslims, but hey, it’s not crazy to find them although i have to say i’ve never seen/heard of em. People all around have weaknesses.
Please note however, It would be silly to think that muslim women need to turn to their own because the men aren’t romantic and/or good lovers. *laughs* It’s quite the opposite, and it’s perfectly fine because what goes on between man and wife is noble and good. In islam, any act to please ones spouse is a means of reward from the most high. I don’t think you can get more motivated to be good/pleasing to your husband/wife.

First off, I think Debbie needs to address what an ìextremist Muslimî is exactly. To state repeatedly, that these women are extremist in nature is unnecessary when the women have not shown so called ìextremist behaviour.î A request to exercise freely without the roaming eyes of men would not be called an ìextremistî idea if it was stated by a Christian.
It is sad to see such ignorance read on such a wide scale. Little things such as the word ìIslamistsî or ìmohammadensî only prove the lack of knowledge one has in regards to this topic. There is no such thing as an ìIslamist.î To respond so judgingly without knowledge is a dangerous thing. It is also dishonourable to discuss these women in such a bad manner. I doubt they were ìwhining about the gymî at all.
As well, to state that a movie should be a basis for the prejudgement of millions of Muslims is a horrible thing to state. The acts of a few do not determine the merits of all.
That is why it is extremely embarrassing as a human being to see how immature some of these responses are to this article. Being a Muslim does not mean you are a terrorist. These replies make me believe that the authors have never actually met a Muslim person before or discussed their beliefs with them. Would it make sense for me to ask the leader of the KKK his beliefs about humanity and then stereotype his character to the rest of his religion. No. It wouldnít.
If the only way to counter debate a Muslim is insulting their looks or using stereotypes or someone elsesí fault against them, then it is a weak argument and shouldnít be taken seriously at all.
And to answer CobraKai, gym equipment can be used to maintain a healthy body. Your body does not need to be displayed in front of others, it can be for yourself.

It’s sad that people take one person’s side of the story (in this case, Debbie’s) without taking the time to “read” about the real issue. They would find that those women are not just suggesting that Fitness USA seperate facilities but in fact are asking them to “continue” doing so as they’ve done since 1956. Every single member, Muslim and non-Muslim (and there are many) signed up knowing this and probably wanting this. This is how the facilities were built-to accomodate for the different genders on different days. It’s always been like that. Even when I signed up over 14 years ago. Men and women, both, paid for this. The latest article in the Detroit Free Press quotes a non-Muslim who supports the seperation. Here, one side is seen and the ignorance and narrow-minded thinking only exaggerates it. I feel sorry for those people who only use this site as their source of information. What kind of life you must be living? You don’t really know what’s happening in this world and Debbie, you call those women “extremists”. Look who’s talking? You’re an extreme racist. Do you know how many AMERICAN women feel uncomfterble working out at a gym with men? Plenty. This isn’t a huge deal and people need stop treating it like one because i’m certain that many of the women there are in agreement with the partioning, except of course the ones who do want to show off to guys. The real problem is people taking minor issues and blowing them out of porportion (as seen above).So everyone chill out go outside enjoy the day and stop getting pulled into things like this just because someone wants to slant a story and make a huge deal about absolutly nothing 🙂
