Who Was Really Poking Whom in Eric Massa’s Shower?: Congressman’s History of “Shower Scenes”

By Debbie Schlussel

Over the weekend, when loony liberal Democrat Congressman Eric Massa’s claims about Rahm Emanuel naked and poking him in the shower came out, I didn’t jump on the allegations.  That’s because I didn’t believe him.

Dem Congressman Eric Massa’s Shower: Fantasy v. Reality

You see, Massa had already claimed he was resigning because of a recurrence of cancer, not alleged sexual harassment of male staffers and a resulting ethics investigation, he insisted.  Then, he did a 180 and claimed it was naked Rahm badgering him to vote for Obamacare.  But, on Friday, a commenter on this site had already alerted us to the allegations about Massa that are pretty telling, even if a fraction of them are true.  The allegations appear on the website of Rochester, New York journalist and radio talk show host Bob Lonsberry, who has won awards from AP, etc.  Here’s just a sliver of the Massa creepiness he alleges (which definitely gives credence to some of the arguments against gays in the military):

During his Navy career, Eric Massa allegedly touched at least two men inappropriately and may have exhibited a pattern of putting himself in situations where he would see men naked – particularly younger and lower-ranked men.

These allegations come from general shipboard understandings and conversations, and were relayed to me by shipmates of Eric Massa.

In one instance, Eric Massa was a lieutenant commander and the combat systems officer of the USS Jouett. That made him the third-ranking officer on the boat – behind the captain and the executive officer.

According to another officer on the ship, Massa and a lieutenant were on liberty in the Middle East. Massa had made the motel arrangements and the room turned out to have only one bed. The lieutenant reportedly told other officers on the ship that while they were in the room, Massa came up behind him and started massaging his neck and shoulders.

The rest is just too gross for me to post on this site and you should really read Bob Lonsberry’s original story on his site. Again, I don’t know if what he says is true.  Anyone can say anything about anyone.  But the details are quite specific.  Since I’d already read this before Massa made the Rahm shower allegations, it struck me that his Rahm naked in the shower story was–literally–his wildest fantasy, not reality. As much as I dislike Obama’s unethical Chief of Staff, I just never believed his shower fantasy scene.

And I still don’t. Frankly, I wouldn’t drop the soap in a shower anywhere near either of these two.

No soap, radio.  No soap, Rahm.  And, definitely, no soap, Rep. Massa.

Dear Diary,

(Sigh),, Things are really starting to get out of hand around here. Earlier this morning, Rahm came running into the oval office, naked, dripping wet and all red faced. I thought the worst of course and said “Oh no, not again!?!?!” and he replied “Boss you owe me big time for this, I heard Barney Frank was gonna’ vote against our healthcare reform and, and, you wouldn’t believe what I had to do to get him back on our side!!” (Sigh)…

Til next time dear diary,

What, you mean most straight men don’t have ticklefights to celebrate their 50th birthday? 🙂

“Frankly, I wouldn’t drop the soap in a shower anywhere near either of these two.”

I think Debbie covered this with the above quote.

I’m just dumbfounded by this creep. Let’s assume he’s gay and in the closet. Then WHY, WHY is he putting up these icky stories for the world to ridicule?? Does he think that ANYONE will buy what he’s saying?? Is 15 minutes of fame really worth making yourself a laughingstock. Either come out man, or shut up and slink off!

Massa has more or less gone down for the last time hopefully. His absurd appearances with Glenn Beck and Larry King made him look like the lying fool that he is. Also, the little that is coming out about his ethics problems seem to reveal uncontrolled sexual impulses.

As for the Lonsberry report on Mr. Massa, I would be careful about using it without some heavy corroboration. Anonymous complaints, especially after there is no real threat of retaliation, must be looked upon at least somewhat skeptically. Some of the people who served with Mr. Massa should publicly come forward, if such incidents occurred.

This should really, at least to some extent, bring out some of the more troubling aspects of allowing gays in the military. Issues of segregating people not by gender, but also by sexual orientation would have to be addressed. These are delicate issues that should not be governed by who gives a campaign contribution.

In response to a reader’s comment, Lonsberry wrote that “my primary source yesterday [March 8, 2010] spoke to the house ethics committee, and gave its investigator the names of the people involved.”

Hey, Rahm Emanuel did study ballet in high school and dance in college.

I’m just saying.

I never understood teh gays in the military controversy – gays are attracted to their own sex, so putting them among other straight GIs is like putting a straight man in a women’s locker room: it ain’t right.

Regarding the Rahm shower fantasy as hypothesized by Debbie: surely, Debbie, Massa’s fantasies would insist on better than Rahm.

With more people like Massa running the country we can transform into ever more radical fringe groups like Grown Men Tickling Frenzies.

If gays are allowed in the military, will such behavior be more tolerated than if it was a man doing this to another woman? I mean when I was in the military, I have seen many careers ruined over just an allegation by female personnel. I just think since the military wants to be “open-minded and tolerant” that this kind of behavior would get a wrist slap ( no pun intended)
