You lost me. I checked all your links and some additional sources and I couldn?t find a single place where it confirms that Jill Carroll hates America or Israel. She certainly disagrees with the US policy in Iraq but that?s not the same thing.

This Jill Carroll is, just as Debbie points out, just another America-hating LIBERAL.
This Carroll (this abominable fraud) had the nerve to say that she wasn’t threatened with harm?! Oh, really?! Then who was it in those videos when we saw Carroll sitting on the floor with three masked Moslum barbarians holding AK-47’s in their hands while they stood above her and she pled for her life?
Who was it in those videos when we saw Carroll distraught and in tears as she begged for the West to save her life?
Upon her release, Carroll just spewed more of her lies and propaganda about how benevolent her captors were (name anyone who holds someone else against their will with the threat of death hanging over her head as; kind, caring, and nice). This broad is just your typical America-hating Leftist – all anyone has to do to see this as fact (with the exception your typically brain-dead Muslum) is just read any of her putrid writings in the Christian Science Monitor.
Another telltale sign that obviously indicates which side she’s rooting for is her choice of garb. After her release, this “Christian” chooses to wear the head and body coverings that typical female Moslems are forced to wear. She wears the mark (clothing) of an indentured Muslim women by CHOICE.
Yet another indicator of who she obviously pledges her allegiance to is the fact that other barbarian Musloms across the Arab world in general, and in the Jordan Times in particular, support her. For the clueless who need a clue – for anyone who was praised by Joseph Goebbels during Hitler’s reign, it’s a safe bet to say that that person was against the Allies.
Everytime she opens her putrid mouth about how wonderful and misunderstood these savage barbarians are, she urinates on the graves of all those hostages who were butchered by these Practitioners of the Religion of Peace.
Jill Carroll should do us all a favor and:
A – Convert from Christianity to Islam (funny thing about how there isn’t any death requirement for Christians who convert to other religions, but there is such a death warrant for those who convert from Islam),
B – Marry one of her “wonderful”, “misunderstood” captors,
C- Live with her abusive husband in any country dominated under Islam,
D – Get a job in the “Moslem Science Monitor” and write stories about how women and infidels are oppressed under Islam.
After doing the above – let’s see how long she lives.

Our problems here in the U.S. are mirrored in Western Europe and in a different kind of way in Israel. The two primary forces behind the U.S. and European problems are 1) Corporate greed and 2) Liberals i.e. the Statist planners destroying our culture.
They are unintentional allies and usually opposed to one another. Their combined effect upon the citizenry has been devastating. Corporate greed seeks the monetary advantages of cheap labor and the statists seek to bring about some utopian dream that all people are “one.”
The Corporates don’t care about the effects that inevitably occur when you force radically different peoples together. The Statists deny the effects all together and simply blame it on “racism.”
Its interesting to note that these things are ONLY happening in the Western (white) nations of the U.S., Canada, Australia, and Europe and nowhere else on earth. These are also the only nations who tolerate statist philosophy. Make no mistake, the vast majority of the peolpes on the planet don’t share your misguided notions of “equality.” They correctly see those of you who are liberals as weak and easily dominated.

I think this woman is being used as an information mule. She’s been in “captivity” long enough to memorize some quantity of documentation which may be too risky to transmit electronicaly or via hard copy. She has been well cared for; e.g. enjoyed showers, has suffered no bad treatment, gained weight, retained her head. Her kaffir skull must contain something worth her release.
I suggest she be held in a red-line brig and psychoanalyzed for however long Dr. Pavlov would have recommended.

I thought from the start that she was getting the attention because she is a fairly attractive female, rather than a bulbous nosed pot-bellied truck driven’ pistol packen’ mercernary.
First I’m very glad she has been released. I think what is going on “Over There” is tragic … but if I were on the other side I think I would have killed her. Wouldn’t it further their cause better to kill someone who is known around the world than a nobody “contractor”. Just a thought.

Let Iran go ahead and develop their nuclear capability, despite repeated warnings, and we may see this scenario unfold rather quickly. And since the Muslim community here in the U.S. and abroad speak with such a soft voice in condemning the acts of their brethren, they should consider their own safety very carefully.
The Muslims in the U.S. are comparatively few and walk rather softly. They are wise to do so. That is not the case in Europe. Those in Europe treat their charitable hosts to atrocities on a daily basis. In time, their favors will be revisited upon them. When the corrupt European governments have finally lost their ability to restrain their own people, well, I’ll just say I would not want to be a Muslim living there at that time.

This blog is an interesting place to visit. Reminds me of the time I toured the insane aslyum in Austin, Texas. For some, we should never remember people who weren’t killed because there were others who weren’t killed. What asinine thinking, or rather lack of it! But we do have a true literary figure joining in the blog. Get this wonderful literary masterpiece by one brainless wonder: “They should have left the cunt there.” However, for some reason everyone has overlooked the most egregious thing of all. Isn’t it obvious that Jill rhymes with kill and that carroll is a little like terror? So that it seems clear that Jill Carroll was born to be a terrorist who kills people, doesn’t it? While we haven’t yet uncovered any evidence that she was responsible for 9/11, I don’t think we should wait for the evidence to accuse her of that. After all, isn’t she wearing a burka, or whatever? And remember she hasn’t said a thing about little children who have been killed by the Taliban over the years, so she is clearly “one of them”. And I wholly agree with the one blogger who is upset that Jill Carroll gets more publicity than our brave contractors like Halliburton. But I am proud to be one of the bloggers on this great blog. After all, we all need a place to vomit.

Mike, you and “grandpaw” seem to just want to gloss over Carroll’s behavior for some reason to make yourselves look more “understanding than thou.” Sure, a few comments here may be over the top, but that still doesn’t excuse Carroll’s behavior and comments or make her look better.
We are in a war with people who want to kill you, me, “grandpaw”, and all of us if we don’t convert to Islam. This is not some disagreement between liberals and conservatives over government spending, school vouchers, etc.

I?m not making myself more understanding than thou. The use of the word cunt is inappropriate and has no place in political discourse. Debbie makes statements and offers links for support but the links in no way confirm her statements. You can say that someone sounds, appears or seems to be a hater but all I?ve seen Debbie do is brand any opposition as hating. Can you show a single example of when Debbie acknowledged an opposing view in this matter with the least bit of respect?
No matter how you may brand Jill Carroll?s ideology, absolutely no evidence is offered that she was a spoiled brat. As for my son and my daughter, I?m sure she annoys him on purpose, but as a lieutenant in the Army, I?d hope he could express himself a little more maturely and articulately.
Since we are better than them, I think it should show in our words and actions.

That is not the whole truth. You are dissembling. I said that you can make inferences but that is not necessarily fact. I checked your links looking for the a quotation or reference to Jill Carroll saying she hated America or Israel; or her burning a flag, tearing GWís photo, waving an Iraq flag, or chanting death to America. None of that has happened. Yes, she is opposed to the US policy in the Middle East but that does not make her a hater. Her love of Arab culture does not make her a hater either. My love of Italian culture does not diminish my love of America. Furthermore, concern over ones weight, and in this case I think she was joking, is not evidence of being a spoiled brat. It could be that she responds to stress in an illogical manner. Paris Hilton makes an art out of being a spoiled brat. Show me parallels to her. This blog is not beyond my comprehension. Perhaps the problem is that I understand it all too well. If you choose to make the phrase ëopposes US policy in the Middle Eastí to mean ëhates America and Israelí, you are purposely twisting fact to your own ends. That is what the liberals do. Thatís how Michael Moore makes a living. I donít think we should fight radicalism by acting radically.

I believe I got some insight into the Serbialnproblem when journalist Jill Carroll was “freed’.
This little Leftist ranted about how ther “captors treated her well” and how the “Iraquis’ suffering was much worse than mine”.
Caroll was on the side of the terrorists – always has been – to her, suffering of Americans isn’t as worthy as that of Muslims, even though literally ALL of the suffering is inflicted by other Muslims.
Likewise, as Westerners with American influence (after all, Milosevic had been our “partner in peace’), the suffering of Serbs wasn’t as “worthy” as that of Albanian and Bosnian Muslims.
And Carroll sums it up in a nutshell.

The_Man, you must have been absent in elementary school on the day your teachers explained that it’s okay for patiotic Americans tp disagree with their government. In fact, it’s one of those little distinctions between freedom and fascism.
Opposing the war does not make one an “Infidellete Jihadi Conspirator.” And if Ms. Schlussel and the others who piled on Ms. Carroll have a shred of decency, they’ll eat their words now that it has become so blindingly obvious that they were wrong.

Quit twisting what I said. You guys are hypocrites, doing exactly what you claim Debbie and a few others are doing.
I didn’t say every single person should fall in lockstep with every decision with President Bush. If you pinkos come lately ever read the archives, you would know that.
Not one single thing Debbie wrote has been disproved yet by any of you. In fact, what Debbie and a few (I’m not saying I agree 100% with every single poster) have said has proved correct so far.
The one wrong so far from what I see was Jill Carroll. Carroll and anyone else can dissent all they want, but Carroll would be exactly what Debbie said about her if she doesn’t NOW speak out against all those thugs.

Got to this website because I read in the mainstream press accounts of blogs castigating Jill Carroll for the language she used to describe her captors when first released. I assume that Debbie has never experienced physical terror or violence in her life, which makes it so much easier to judge Carroll’s words and actions during and after her kidnapping. If she has had the unfortunate experience of true physical terror or knows someone who has, then I am not trying to intrude, but am struggling to understand how she can be so shockingly judgmental. I suspect her hatred of Carroll comes from the original premise that seems to have brought Carroll to another country in the first place. Is it the fact that Carroll is critical of Bush’s policies that makes you only reluctantly, begrudgingly admit that you wouldn’t have wanted her to die? Is it that fact that she embraced learning about the culture she was working within that makes you allow people to call her a cunt on your website without response? I think of Daniel Pearl–what was said here when he was murdered? Did you also then nod your heads knowingly and say he got what was coming to him? Liberal, pacifist and, possibly, Jew? I would like to understand the depths of hatred here. Here are the principles I don’t see on this website: objectivity and integrity, insight, tolerance and respect for people of all cultures. I can imagine the invectives such a list might bring out–I see the constant return to the mantra of ‘check out my links–you’ll see that Jill Carroll betrayed her country and desn’t deserve our interest and empathy’. I don’t need to agree with everything Jill Carroll believed in, or agree with everything that you, Debbie, believe in. But I think the sickening love of drama that infuses this site–look at us contrarians who can see the “truth,” who say radical things like: Carroll deserved whatever she got and anyone who is glad she was released is liberal scum–is so profoundly against any value that I could ever hope to embody or instill in my kid. I simply must make one last comment in this thread. Of all the people who have posted comments here to this point, both left and right, disagree as we might, LawyerMom is the one I am most concerned about. I am concerned because I see the depths of what literal brain-washing can do to a human being. Even the most virulent anti-Debbie, anti-rightwing liberals who have posted here have not shown evidence of this kind of intentional social conditioning. I made mention earlier of the “statist planners” among us. Look carefully at the language they use:

LawyerMom, please, please, tell me that you don’t have a male child. If so, then at least tell me that he has a masculine father to whom you’re committed. And actually, it’s this kind of reasoning infused into the brain of a female child that directly gives them a false sense of security. A misguided trusting of others that gets so many of our little girls murdered every year. As a former law enforcement officer, the memories of the ones I have seen still haunts my mind.

No, I don’t think it is understood. As I read the comments of Debbie and others, it seems clear that the only thing that Carroll has done to warrant this abuse is oppose U.S. policy in the Middle East. For that, she has been labeled as anti-American, as hating Israel, as a “spoiled brat,” and, worst of all, as a “cunt.”
Fact: One can oppose U.S. policy in the Middle East and not hate America.
Fact: One can oppose U.S. policy in the Middle East and not hate Israel.
Debbie is quick to cite the Jordan Times’ statement re: Carroll’s political viewpoints. Specifically, the paper noted that Carroll opposes the war, appreciates Arab culture, and supports Arab causes. Work with me here Debbie: Even if the Jordan Times is 100% accurate in its description Carroll’s views, how does supporting any of the aformentioned causes indict Carroll’s patriotism? Why is she a spoiled brat?

Your viewpoint is so skewed that impartial journalists who report the facts of the war in Iraq are labelled as “America Haters” and others who are generally considered to hold moderate views are “extremist”.
