Carl in Jerusalem was way ahead of the curve and onto this last week before everyone else.
Shameless Israeli bim model Bar Refaeli outdoes even her famous far left boyfriend (Leonardo DiCrapio, er . . . DiCaprio) in the chutzpah department.
She’s proud that she’s a draft dodger because, hey, she’s made it. Read her utterly outrageous comments on Carl’s site. 2nd post with more absurd comments here.
No biggie that Israeli soldiers, including those of Ethiopian heritage, who live in the vilified “West Bank” settlements gave their lives and limbs fighting Hezbollah. Bar Refaeli has more important things to do than fight terrorists . . . like “dating” (euphemism) DiCrapio.
Like I always say, if you like the American left, you’ll LOVE the Israeli left. Would love to send both groups to a barren desert island with a bong (to make them extra hungry).
And I’m sure Carl would agree that Refaeli is the anti-Sabra: Sweet (beautiful) on the outside, prickly (and very ugly) in the inside. (A sabra is a cactus fruit and is the nickname for native-born Israelis).
She’s up there, er . . . down there, with other “heroic,” famous Israeli draft dodgers, like Prime Minister Ehud Olmert’s draft-dodger artist son (livin’ it up in “Philo-Semitic” France).
