Stupid as it is, it really is not inconsistent with NYC as a sanctuary city. They are going to harbor all sort sorts of illegal activity within the city, so why not have a madrassa? I don’t think that there is much hope for the liberals on the east coast, and that of course includes NYC, Boston, Philadelphia, and DC. They are out to fix the world, and they don’t mind if they destroy the USA in the process.

I don’t think that teaching arabic as an elective course in public schools would be a bad thing. Kind of like how you can take spanish, or french.
It increases the job opportunities for American youth, and also offers up the advantage of having American born and bred translators in the military instead of those of Arabic descent who are more likely to betray the US.
But an entire arabic school? Why is this necessary if they’re not teaching religion? Again, why not just have it as an elective?
Seems quite odd to me.

In Los Angeles we have La Raza schools that teach reconquista. Is there any doubt the NEA should be abolished.

ConservativesLovePuns(descent) raised some very valid points. Some public schools in Chicago offer Chinese as an elective language, also a forward thinking plan (and I can’t believe I just said forward thinking and Chicago in the same sentence).
Maybe I’m living through my kids (wish it was available when I was in school), but I signed them up for Latin as their foreign language. Having Spanish forced down our throats on a daily basis by all the illegals just cheesed me off too much to let them take it.

There is absolutely no way that ANY “school” in the U.S. that specifically focuses on anything to with the RoP, teaches anything but murder, mayhem, and violence. There is no RoP center of “worship” anywhere in this country that doesn’t talk of dominance by the sword. Why does everyone skirt the obvious issue? If they get to operate that “training camp” in N.Y., others will follow. We all know what they are teaching.

So how does the name Kahlil Gibran fit into this equation? I thought he was a more Christian influenced philosopher who spoke of love, family and charity. How did the Muslims become synonymous with Kahil Gibran? Did he somewhere along the way say he was Muslim or have Islamic beliefs? From what I have read he did not align himself with any religion.
