Brit Libraries Encourage Jihad, Brits Outlaw Speech Critical of Islam; Brit Press Ignores it
By Debbie Schlussel (& “David” from UK)
One of this blog’s British readers, “David,” sent me the following e-mail messages, with yet more reasons, among , that the 7/7 attacks on London should be no surprise–Brit libraries and Brit limits on free speech for non-Muslims about Islam. (We are keeping “David”‘s real name and e-mail address private, due to security concerns.) The diagram is part of “David”‘s e-mail.
You’ve heard of “militant” Islam (a nice, sanitized euphemism for Islam’s myriad of terror-supporters and participants). Now, read about what “David” so aptly describes as Britain’s “militant apathy” toward the extremist Islam that is spreading throughout his country. The second e-mail, regarding the law outlawing free speech critical of Islam, is most disturbing.
“David” says that, under the new law, which just passed the House of Commons, “someone could be risking imprisonment for informing non-Muslims of the dangerous nature of Islam. Getting into trouble for criticizing Islam isn’t just a £100 fine or 30 hours community service, it could get you 7 years in the slammer.”
The Queen’s English, now. Our version, next? Read “David”‘s e-mails messages:

Subject: Our own UK libraries are encouraging Jihad
Dear Debbie,
I like your on why London was attacked, but one thing that you might not be aware of is that some of our own libraries are encouraging Muslims to engage in violent Jihad against us.
For example in my local library in Norwich, Norfolk there is a book called ‘Guide to the contents of the qur’an’ which tells Muslims that Jihad until the whole world has been Islamified is an obligatory duty of all Muslims.
I have tried to get at least British journalist interested in writing an article on this, but without success.
My feeling is that this country is committing suicide through its militant apathy and its general I-don’t-want-to-know attitude.
I reckon Blair might as well come on telly tomorrow and tell us all to lie down on the railway track whilst a train load of Muslims runs us over.

Dear Debbie,
Thanks for getting back to me about this one. I can send you some quotes from this book which tell Muslims that jihad against us is their duty.
Norwich is the constituency of Home Secretary Charles Clark who has just had a piece of legislation passed in the House of Commons which would make it much harder for someone to criticize Islam.
This Bill, it seems, would still allow Muslims to quote verses in the qur’an and the hadith that promote violence against infidels, but if non-Muslims point these out to other non-Muslims they could get into trouble for incitement to religious hatred.
Likewise with this book, written by a Muslim, it tells other Muslims that jihad is a central theme of Islam, but if non-Muslims make the same assertion, they could end in trouble.
After the bombing in London last week, our politicians and press and Muslim leaders came out and said that violence has no part in Islam, so why do our libraries contain guides for Muslims on Islam that say the exact opposite?
Please don’t mention my real name.
Take care
Warm wishes
“David”

Sounds like England is being further terrorized by
the ACLU.
